Datepicker mindate based on another item

Hi,
Is it possible to change the mindate property of a date picker based on the value of another item? For example:
P01_ITEM1 = datepicker
P01_ITEM2 = datepicker
I would like to set the mindate property of P01_ITEM2 as the selected date of P01_ITEM1.
Is this possible? I'm using Apex 4.0.2.

Try this;
Create a Dynamic Action
Action: OnChange
Selection Type: Items
Item: Select the 1º DP (Date Picker)
Action: Execute JS code
Fire On Page Load: Yes
Code: $("#DP2_NAME").datepicker("option","minDate",$v('DP1_NAME'));
Affected Elements:
Selection Type: Items;
Item: 'DP2'

you are mixing jquery and apex API, it won't work
and missing *});* at the end, and when adding to the page load you should wrap them in $(document).ready( code here.... });

How to display value of an item based on another item

Hi,
In a page I've to display name for the corresponding id displayed in id item.Can I write a query based on id and display name as soon as I enter into that item.if so are there any properties I need to set ?I'm looking for just post_text_item functionality in forms?

How to Visible/Hide an Item based on the value of another Item

I need to visible and hide a textitem based on the value of another item.This form has 3 blocks, and the both item is in the first Master Block.
My code is:

Read the 'Propagation of Property Changes' section towards the end of the page for Set_Item_Property in the online help. I'm not sure what you mean by locking automatically but perhaps it's because of this.
You should also ensure the item you're setting to invisible is not the current item (check :system.cursor_item and go to a different item if necessary).

Minimum date in calendar item based on another number item

Hello,
I have a calendar item that I use in a form. I have another item called effort_days(number) which is calculated using a dynamic action based on other item entries.
How can I set a minimum pick date in my calendar item that should be sum between sysdate + effort_days?

i'm not sure if you wanted the second colum's lov values to change per row as your users update the first column or if you simply want the second col's available values to be determined by the originally selected first column values in each row. the latter scenario can be handled easily enough in a manually created tabular form using a call to htmldb_item.select_list_from_query like so...

...and if you want your available second column values to change as your user updates values in the first column, you'd probably have to use javascript. anyhow, you're hopefully after my second setup. if you're new to manually created tabular forms, there's a great howto doc on them at...

Changing a field based on another field

hi one and all
i am looking for a way to change a field based on another field. if i have item 2 and item 8 on the page and item 8 needs to be required based on item 2 based on a requirement, how would this be done.
ex if item 2 has a PO inputed, when it is moved off the field, item 8 should be changed from required false to required true. i have tried in both the process request and process form request with no luck
any suggestions.

APEX 4 - Bug - default jQuery UI Datepicker - minDate maxDate

I came across a strange bug in my dev environment and I was able to reproduce it on apex.oracle.com.

Credit Limit based on Open Items only.

Dear Friends,
Is it possible to set credit limit based on Open Items only ( Document Type RV)
If the credit limit is crossed for accounting documents not yet cleared, then system should allow creating sales order, but block any deliveries further.
Just to add this, we are using Oldest Open Item, to make sure system blocks deliveries if even one Billing document is overdue for payment.

For respective customers Credit Limit should be made 99999999....(i.e maximum)
Goto OVA8. Select the respective Credit Control area, Risk category & Customer Group.
tick-> OpenItems
Max.Open items 100% and Nodays Open here you can maintain the grace days (after the payment term limit expires) is allowed to do the transaction for respective customer.
if grace days are '0', then as soon as payment term limit is expires system will block the transactions selected.

PO with account assignment category P - it is created for projects and need to provide account details in the tab.
You can check these details from table EKPO - ( EKPO-KNTTP equal to P).
Project stock can be finding in MMBE using special stock indicator as Q. Details can be getting from table MSPR.

Is it possible to schedule a Webi report based on another input, i.e. expose a time in which a process was finished.

These are Webi, user created reports.
Is it possible to schedule a Webi report based on another input, i.e. expose a time in which a process was finished (this can be obtained via a SQL call, service call, etc).
The issue is that if a user schedules a report for 9PM but a process to move data, etc has not completed then that forces the user to keep re-freshing the report hoping that the process has been complete.
Ideally, in the selection UI add to the dropdown for 'when' the option 'Use Process X completion Time' (since it is a daily report).
Then starting around 9PM check to see if that 'time" value is populated then refresh (run) the report. Or it could just be a flag that the process has finished.
User's in the webi environment are asking for this, and moving their reprots to BO is not an option. That's why they have the custom webi enviroment.

There is no very good way to create a working event based on a file as the file will need to be deleted as soon as the event is triggered. However there are work around which can be done for this. Here is a link which is discussing about the process.. http://scn.sap.com/thread/1677109
Once you have created a file based even in CMC > Events> System Events and made a work around program to delete the file once the event is trigged all you would need to do in webi is in launchpad just schedule > Events > select the file based event from all available system events. How to default inv mtl accnt based on the item categories for all trxns

There is a requirement for defaulting inventory material account based on the item categories accounts defined in the category accounts window. instead of defaulting from the inventory organization parameters.
I researched on that and found that we need to do product line accounting setups and modify the accounting client extension code ( Cost Management PDF)
Am i correct in the approach? will i succeed if we go ahead and do these?

Hi,
I can think of one of the probable solution for your requirement.
Your need to create new condition table with item Category as one of the key combination. I think you need to update the item category in field catalog as well as in Doc Structures. Then maintain free goods condition record all the item categories except for the Return item category. This way you can exclude free goods activation for return items.
Note : If the number of active item categories are more then it may be difficult to maintain condition records for the item categories.

Ref2 on JE not populated for Credit Memos not based on another document

Description of requirements: (Please provide a detailed description)
When the Setting in System Initialization\Document Settings \General tab\
Document Remarks Include is set to BP Reference Number, the Ref2 field on the Journal Entry for the document is populated with the BP Reference from the document. This is true for all documents, regardless of whether or not the document is based on another document, EXCEPT for AR and AP Credit Memos. In the case of Credit Memos, if the Credit Memo isnu2019t based on another document, the BP Reference isnu2019t written to the Ref2 field on itu2019s Journal Entry. Our customers have complained that this makes it very difficult for them to do their reconciliations as the Ref2 is blank on the reconciliations screen for these Credit Memos. If the Ref2 field were populated in the same manner as other documents, the Ref2 Field would contain the same BP Reference as the invoice(s) it should be reconciled with. We have been asked to request that this functionality be added in a future patch, as it would greatly simplify the customeru2019s reconciliation and save them a great deal of time and effort.

It is very difficult to reconcile our Credit Memos with the correct documents, as there is no reference available on the screen to connect them to the other documents. This requires a great deal of time researching which Credit Memo(s) should be reconciled with which Invoice(s).

When a Credit Memo (Purchase or Sales) not based on another document is created, the Ref2 field on the Journal Entry should be updated with BP Reference entered by the user on the Credit Memo.

None. Hours wasted trying to reconcile correctly.
