Db link problem help required??
hello friends,
error occuredjava.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Could not update; currently locked by user 'admin' on machine 'mysystem-9ZT4OE'.
i get this error for using preparedstatement call.so i set the permission for the same in my system for my user account.after doin so i get the same error.
i implemented this in servlet program.

Hi Victor,
the problem is not the db-link. If you execute the statment "select * from table@dblinkname;" in an pl/sql program you get this error too. The user has not the select privelege maybe only a role. Please grant the select priveleg directly to the user.

Hi. I am rather hoping someone will be able to help me with this problem.
I have two tables, sa and mv. Create script below:

Firstly I need to try and overcome the mutating table problem by ensure that stuid = S1 in table sa can not take both moduleId M5 and M6.
Just one or the other. I have created a single trigger, but if fails because of the mutating table problem.
The second problem I need to overcome is that none of the stuids can have moduleIds where total credit value of more than 120 credits. Credit value is stored in the mv table.

N86 8GB -persistent problems -help required
I bought N86 yesterday.this phone hangs/freezes at almost anytime--while setting time, while typing the name of new contact, while renaming a music file,while using maps zoom in and zoom out,camera refuses open for hours together,opening the slide just befor typing something.I don't understand --DOES NOKIA EVER CHECK THE STABILITY OF ITS MODELS BEFORE RELEASING??????????. My old grandpa of nseries -N90 even to this date woks great wiithout a hitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Hope does look into this!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Try to reinstall the firmware through NSU but it will reduce the freezing issue wont wipe out it completely. I am also facing the similar problem on N86 which I bought in Mumbai, India on 11th July. I have reinstalled the firmware which is 10.086 as only this is available in India on NSU. And my freezing problem reduced a lot. But still not completely gone. I am gonna ask for replacement from the distributor for my N86.

Oracle 8i us7ascii character set problem - help required urgent.

I have a oracle 8i database server installed on sun solaris os. The database character set is us7ascii. In one of the tables TIFF images are stored in a long column. I m trying to fetch these images using oracle 9i client and visual basic(oracle ODBC drivers). But i m unable to do so. I can not fetch special characters.
Is it because of the character set problem? but when i run my code on the server itself, i m able to fetch the images. I tried to fetch the images using oracle 8 i client on windows XP machine but could not do so. Are there any special settings that i have to do on the client side?Indeed, it's an ODBC issue. Read this statement from Oracle:
From ODBC 8.1.7.2.0 drivers onwards it's NOT possible any more to
"disable" Characterset conversion by specifying for the NLS_LANG
the same characterset as the database characterset. There is now
ALWAYS a check to see if a codepoint is valid for that characterset.
Typically you will encounter problems if you upgrade an environment
that has NO NLS_LANG set on the client (or US7ASCII) and the database
was also US7ASCII. This incorrect setup allowed you to store characters
like èçàé in an US7ASCII database, with the new 8i drivers this is not possible
any more.
Basic problem is the 'wrong' characterset US7ASCII in the database. As long as no characterset conversion happens (that's the case on the unix server), special characters are no problem.

I have the followig HTML form, I have tried validating the values using Javascript but have had no success.

Why is RoboHelp not displaying the required data content of .chm when linked as Help in my App ?

Has anyone encountered the below-said show- stopper. Another BIG TIME help required, will help me in tremendous fashion.
Am using Adobe RoboHelp, Version 10 and IE version being 10.
In my local machine :
1.)I have completed my technical writing courtesy Design editor
2.)Generating chm File : View -> Pods –> Single Source Layouts -> Right Click on Microsoft HTML Help -> Tagged Set as Primary Layout
3.)Generating Primary Layout : File -> Generate -> Primary Layout (Microsoft HTML Help)…
4.)Viewing Primary Layout : File -> View -> Primary Layout
Everything works FANTASTICALLY till here with the required output (as Hide, Back, Refresh, Home, Print, Options, Contents, Index, Search, Glossary and with the data contents)
Show Stopper, At my Application Server :
5.)I copy the entire robohelp project folder from my local machine to my application Server path
6.)My Application has been developed in ASP .NET, Version 4.0.
7.)Help link has been created in this application wherein here the file name of < >.chm has been linked in the code to be read from the Server’s RoboHelp project folder\!SSL!\ Microsoft_HTML_Help\
8.)I login into my above-said application -> click on the Help page -> Displays the required structure /buttons as Hide, Back, Refresh, Home, Print, Options, Contents, Index, Search, Glossary
a.)Clicking on any of the Books or Topics appearing beneath Contents : The System prompts out with error cautionary message called “ Navigation to the webpage was cancelled. What you can try: Retype the address ”

Cheese – Vipin NambiarIf you looked at the error message and searched the forum, you should find the answer as this is a problem that started in 2005. You should not run CHM files from a server and cannot without editing the users registry. See the page below.

Those link problems are related to the wrong version of binutils, you need binutils-2.10.0.18-1.i386.rpm
You need also JDK,to set some kernel parameters and so on..

Until and unless you remember the password to your old email address, you will not be able to access the eBooks as those eBooks are only authorized with your old email address only.
The only workaround or alternative to access your eBooks will be to contact the eBook vendor and ask them to migrate the eBook from your old email to the new one.

Search Help with in a serach help required in SRM 4.0
Hi,
Requirement: Search help required for Product Category field in the Search help for Product(BBPH_PRODUCT) in SRM portal.
This search help is used in Create shopping Cart transaction. The hyper link on Internal Goods/Services leads to the search help BBPH_PRODUCT.
My analysis:
The field Product Category (CATEGORY_ID) has search help(COM_CAT_HIER) attached to its data element. When I single test the search help BBPH_PRODUCT in SAP GUI,I can see the search help for field product category in the selection dialogue box. However the same does not appear on the corresponding screen in HTML.
Please let me know whether I need to do some thing to make the search help appear on the HTML screen?

YouTube login & linking problems - one possible solution
Rather than add this comment to one of the several topics concerning YouTube login and account linking problems, I'm starting this topic to isolate this particular problem and the solution that worked for me.

The problem I experienced surfaced when I first tried to upload a video to YouTube from my iPhone 4. YouTube would no longer accept my YouTube password. My YouTube account was linked to my gmail.com account. Having read some of the suggestions in other threads, I unlinked the two accounts, but that did not help matters.
I signed out of the YouTube app in order to sign back in, as suggested elsewhere, but then I could no longer sign in to the YouTube app.
So I tried shutting down my iPhone and starting it up again, as was also suggested elsewhere. That didn't help.
So, exasperated, I went to the YouTube site and tried to change my YouTube account password to itself - and therein lay the solution! YouTube told me the password has to be 5 to 20 characters long and my (old) password was only 4 (because I had created my YouTube account long ago before they had that requirement.)
Once I set a new password that was long enough to satisfy this requirement, I was able to login to the YouTube app just fine and everything is working.
* The solution -> MAKE SURE YOUR YouTube PASSWORD IS LONGER THAN 4 CHARACTERS

Message was edited by: cafNo, it didn't work. After buying my MacBook Pro I updated everything including QT. As a result QT 7.2 simply didn't play any of my divx avi files. Before adopting the rude way, I obviously tried to update/replace all of the components including: Perian, DivX, Flip4mac. No way. I then forced a downgrade to ver. 7.1.6 using Pacifist (a package manager) and as a result I put the hole system in danger. It was in a total state of malfunction. I had to restore the system with the cd. Fortunately it kept my home! But I now run ver 7.1.6 and I do NOT have any intention to update it. I use Pro so I don't have any necessity of full screen support or else. Maybe if Apple will release a stable version I will consider the update. But for now, "nowing it is not installing it".

"Link Problem" in Incident Form does not seem to work right? How do I do it correctly?
1. The Link Problem tool in the task pane on our Incidents, do not seem to actually link the Incident to the Problem.
2. I can link the two by going to the Problem and adding it on the related items tab, but this is very time consuming in a call center environment, especially during an outage where we are relying a lot more on Problem and root cause analysis.
3. I have tried creating the incident and applying, then doing the Link Problem tool and selecting the problem, then applying again and selecting OK to close the incident. Again it doesn't work for me.
What am I doing wrong, number one?
Can we do this without manually opening the problem for every incident and attaching from there?
3. Can I build an incident template that will automate the Attachment to the problem at creation? (Tried this today to and it wouldn't work, but then again, the Link Problem might again be the culprit) This would be great for real time saving during
an outage. Once outage is found, I could create the template with all the necessary items filled out, and would like to have it automatically attach to the specific problem I choose at template creation, and that way analysts can simply apply template, and
click OK when they get a call related to the outage.Thanks for the response Thomas!
The functionality seems to work just fine. I use the LINK PROBLEM and it pops up the problem search box, I search for and select a Problem, I then select it and click ok, and I get no error saying the relationship was not created.
The problem is, when I open the problem after that, there is never any relationship showing in related items there, as it says there should be.
Also, to point out, I am talking about newly created Incidents. I tried even using APPLY prior to doing the LINK PROBLEM but it still did not work. I suspect it may be a workflow problem, where the workflow to create the incident has not completed, there
for the relationship is not completed.... and I get no error.
In my work environment, we have analysts during outages taking a call every 30 seconds, and I need a more efficient way for this system to work. As of now, they spend 1-2 minutes doing the ticket, and that is too long.
I have decided to try a newb way, where I created an Incident (GENERIC OUTAGE) that folks can use, and every 15-30 minutes during an outage, I can open the problem and search for open incidents with that title, and attach all that I find from the problem
side. This is assuming that once attached they will not show up in the search to attach the next time lol. Also this assumes that if attached from the problem, they will auto resolve when the problem is resolved.
I am rusty on my programming, and am currently trying to get refreshed. I am sure that would come in handy for this :)
Oh and lastly, one additional tidbit that will make this clearer, with regard to work flow, we re also running our Service Manager in our help desk, virtualized, as they have not upgraded to Win 7 yet :(. So that compiles my time to add ticket issue :(.
