DB13 error for checkdatabase job

Hi all,
Our system has been working fine for db13 autoscheduled jobs , but suddenly from last 4 weeks checkdb and other jobs are failing , though our backups through DB13 is working fine , but other jobs are failing .

permissions on brtools is fine , i have checked in my Quality system and DB13 works fine over there , all settings for ops$ users and sapuser tables on PRD system is same as QA system , still error occured
i also fired query
SQL> grant select , update on ops$db1adm.sapuser to ops$db1adm;
Grant succeeded.
but no gain ... is sapdba_role.sql need to be run then let me know ,

DB13 error for BRconnect

Hello Experts,
We are scheduling the check database and update statistics job from DB13. the job finishes (completed status) within seconds. The job log shows that the DB instance is shutdown. However the DB instance is fine and application is up and running.
We get this error only when we schedule it through DB13. Hence we are forced to run the jobs from OS level using ora<sid> user. It works fine with ora<sid> user.
We are getting the following error while scheduling a job from DB13.:

DB13 - Error when starting jobs

After an upgrade from R/3 Enterprise Ext 2.00 to ERP 2005 i have a permission problem concerning the jobs. I have already executed sapdba_role.sql for R3(some errors in log), SR3 (no errors in log) and even SID(didn't take a look at log).
All brtools are working correct when calling them directly on windows. But if I want to start the same jobs on DB13 following errors appear:

So, there must be problems with the permissions from the SAP System. I suppose that the sql-file is working correctly, so what could be the reason then?

I've got a system copy of it where everything works fine. The directory rights are as followed:

SYS - SYSTEM (full without special permissions),

Auth - Authenticated Users (Read&Execute, List content of folders, Read)
So the same with the productive system. I doubt that it is the folder and file rights.

Spool error for background job

Hi All,
I have scheduled one job in sap for a report.I have made a distribution list via tcode SO01.
I have given this distribution list to the SPOOL RECEPIENT section in SM 36.
The job is running successfully but is giving the following error and not sending emails to the distribution list.
The error is :-
"Spool list of step 1 could not be sent due to error 7".
Does anybody has any idea about this error?
Please help its a production issue.

Reason and Prerequisites
1. The jobs in question have recipient references in table TBTCO but these have no equivalent in the Business Object Repository.
2. An error occurs when sending in the spool or in the Sapconnect layer.
Solution
This note does not provide a direct solution to the problem but it does provide a source code enhancement that you can use to create more trace information about the cause of the error. When you copy and execute a job with spool list recipients, trace messages are output when errors occur.
After implementing the correction instructions, use transaction SE91 to create the following message:
Message class: BT
Number: 347
Text: Spool list of step &1 could not be sent due to error &2.
In detail, the error numbers mean:
1 = Spool request does not exist (or no longer exists)
2 = Spool request does not contain any data
3 = Empty page area selected
4 = No authorization to send the request
5 = Access to the spool request is not possible
6 = Read error in the Temse layer
7 = Spool request could not be sent (sending problem)
8 = Incorrect request type
9 = Other

TYPELOAD_NEW_VERSION error for a job

Hello Gurus,
We have made few changes to a customized structure and a program. Moved to production, job is scheduled for every day.
But few times it had ended in above short dump. No transport of objects taken place, when job was failed.
we are unable to find the root cause, kindly suggest.

The TYPELOAD_NEW_VERSION dump can occur after changes have taken place to dictionary objects. The cause of the dump is explained in the attached note 162991 (Generation tools for ABAP programs) which may be of some interest. Rather than reactivate in SE11 directly, you may wish to use the TOUCHTAB report as described in note 162991 which ensures all related programs are regenerated at the same time. Afterwards you may need to restart the system to ensure the correct versions are loaded
into your buffers.

not sure if the recommendations given will address this issue.
You are getting this error:
BR0301E SQL error -1017 at location BrDbConnect-2, SQL statement:
'CONNECT /'
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
the log file indicates:
> No application server found on database host - rsh/gateway will be used
This indicated that the user that is connecting from the AS to the DB server is not properly configured to perform the DB tasks on it.
So, first question would be to know if you have configured a gateway on the DB server and how, or if you are using remote shell.
Second question, you can do backups on the DB server.

How did you run exactly the backup job (what is the exact command line, what is the exact OS user that executed it)?
What is the OS of the DB server?
I have reread your post, your OS is windows therefore you fall in the "typical" error in Windows.
You have executed your backup as <sid>ADM and it works. Unfortunatelly, in windows, SAP is exectuted by SAPSERVICE<sid>, and this is the user who should be connecting to your DB server, and this is the user who cannot execute the backup.
The fact that you can run the backup with <sid>ADM in Windows does not means that you have SAPService<sid> properly configured.
For the error (see before) I think your ops$ user for this user is not properly configured in the DB server. take a look at the note mentioned by KT and pay attention to the SAPSERVICE<sid> configuration

I have question that I hope you can answer. I am trying to decide how to set up my wireless network with a 4th generation Airport Time Capsule (802.11n) with a 5th generation Airport Extreme (802.11n). I have read that you can extend your wireless network, but I am unsure which device I should have connected to the modem, etc., or what setup is the best way to utilize these devices. I want to setup my wireless network and get the most out of each device while making it so that internet connection is "excellent" throughout the house. In addition, I also want to be able to use Time Capsule or Airport Etreme to back up with Time Machine. Basically, I don't understand what it is that I have and how to use it in the best way.
Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

DB13, Error while backup

I am trying to schedule Whole offline backup through DB13 in Solution Manager 4.
The backup kicks off at the schedule time but ends with error with in seconds.
When i go and check the background job in SM37, the Job DBA:ALLOFFLINE______@174008/4000 is with Finished successfully status
I check the JOB log in DB13,

There are no logs created at OS level /oracle/SID/sapbackup

Table SDBAC should only be "touched" if indicated by an SAP note.

That is an OFFLINE backup plus a verification.
AFAIK, that is not a standard SAP JOB.
I assume that someone has changed the entry in SDBAC introducing this "new" action.
DB13 does not have coded such action, therefore it is not able to find it on the "control" tables and also it is not able to find the log.
Advise
1) check if someone changed that entry
2) check if there any "beagpiht*" log file in your system
3) do not play with SDBAC
Another option would be that you are in a MCOD database. Is that the case?

Also ora<sid> and <sid>adm env setting are OK.
I have even tried replacing libjox9.a from another running system but it didn't worked.
Please suggest what else can be tried to solve this problem

Hi Adriaan,
Did you run brconnect as ora<sid> or <sid>adm?
Also run the checks in note 400241 if you haven't already.

DB13 Error in backup

I have one problem maybe somebody can help.
After my SAP server crash then I have install Oracle 8.1.7.2 and also SAP R3 4.6C. Everything seems like OK until I found problem when backup redo log thru DB13. The error is like as follow:

Thank God, at last I have an answer. The Solution Steps are:
1. Change brbackup, brarchive, brconnect, brrestore and brtool to ver 6.10 instead of 4.6D
2. Apply sapdba_role.sql
3. reinstall veritas sapR3 agent.
and the problem solved.
