Dba_views and column text (long type)

Question

Hi,
when i excute this select :
select view_name||' '||
owner||' '||
to_char(text_length)||' '||
dbms_lob.substr(text_clob(view_name),text_length,1)
from sys.dba_views@my_link;
-- text_clob is a function wich convert long to clob
I have this error:
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small
any suggestion.

What is your Oracle version.
I have an Oracle 9iR2 database, and your function and query work very well.

There is perhaps any problem through db_link, have you test in local ?
My option to create an other table work well too. You can try it.
