DBI for Receivables Implementation

I have implemented DBI for Receivables dashboards, now my users wish to seggregate the Receivables data by 'company'. Is there a way I can include the company dimension in the Receivables dashboards and get company as a parameter in these dashboards. Or is there a way by which we can secure these dashboards by company cost center so that a user can access only the data of those companies which are assigned to the user by the security settings.

Implementing DBI for Financials in R12

Hi,
We are currently in the process of implementing DBI for Financials for our client.
Could someone help me understand how to implement the manager reporting setup? Escpecially the mapping of company costcenters to HR company cost center organizations.
I would appreciate an example very much.

For setting up mananger reporting in R12, you will have to do the following:
1) make sure that the user is associated with a person
2) user is a manager in the hr hierarchy i.e user has other people reporting to him/her
3) define the cost centers in the FDHM in DBI using the DBI admin responsibility
4) set up the same cost centers as organizations in HR using HRMS responsibility and have the user set up as manager reporting for the cost centers you want him/her to have access.
5) after completing these steps when you run the financials dashbord you should see the name of the user in the drop down for manager
--manager reporting is required only for P&L dashboards.
For others(other than P&L) including payables, provide access as Company Cost Center Role, Fund Manager, Financial Analyst using DBI admin responsibilty (Data Security: Delegation> Administer Company and Cost Center Security).

How to keep same sender file name for receiver mail attachement

Hi,
i am working with File to Mail scanario. There i want to pick a flat file from native file system and then send it as email attachment. Now i am able to send the file but the flat is getting converted as an xml file. is there any method to keep the same sender file name and type for receiver mail attachment. i am not using any mail package. i am using XI payload and keep attachments.

Yes,With out using the mail package u can send the Mail Attachments to the receiver side,
In that case no need of Integration Repository objects.

Define a settlement cost element for receiver type CTR

Hi, i work for real estate company and we just implemented SAP. were on our process of closing our books and we are tied by error during PS settlement. House repair, which is an income statement account and cost element as well, are monitored in Project Systems with settlement rule set to GL. Postings will initially be posted as Project Cost WBS and will be settled to house repair GL. however, someone advised us that only balance sheet accounts should be settled to GL. Cost and expenses should be settled to Cost Center and so we changed the configuration and business process to posting costs directly to GL house repair and settlemet rule is to be settled to CTR. After the change in configurations and settlement rule, we still cannot process settlement due to this error "Define a settlement cost element for receiver type CTR". Please help, i may have missed a step in system configurations. Thanks thanks

Infopackage Idocs in status 2 - could not find code page for receiver system

Hi,
We just migrated our production system from BW 7.01 non unicode to BW 7.4 on HANA.
We now encounter issues with idocs while loading data into bw from our ECC5 source. When we analyze idocs in the source system it appears with the message "could not find code page for receiver system"
One weird thing is that the idoc seems to have been created before we started the infopackage in bw.. We controlled system time and AS time and everything seems ok.
We did not encounter this issues on our previous migration test runs..

We have two applications servers on our ECC with 2 different OS. One of them could not reach the new BW HANA server.

Error during asset transfer: No depr areas for receiving revenue

Hi....
when I am posting an asset transfer transaction [Inter company transfer with transfer method 2: Net method] and simulating, I am getting an error message stating "No Depr areas for receiving the revenue". Kindly help me solve this error.

I am posting the transfer from with revenue details as NBV from depr area 01, and using the transfer variant as 2 [Net Method]. Still it gives the same error.
I then try posting a manual revenue and again it shows the same error.
Finally, I use No revenue option, and it accepts. do not why this is happening?

What are the thread safety requirements for container implementation?

I rarely see in the TopLink documentation reference to thread safety requirements and it’s not different for container implementation.
The default TopLink implementation for:
- List is Vector
- Set is HashSet
- Collection is Vector
- Map is HashMap
Half of them are thread safe implementations List/Collection and the other half is not thread safe Set/Map.
So if I choose my own implementation do I need a thread safe implementation for?
- List ?
- Set ?
- Collection ?
- Map ?
Our application is always reading and writing via UOW. So if TopLink synchronize update on client session objects we should be safe with not thread safe implementation for any type; does TopLink synchronize update on client session objects?
The only thing we are certain is that it is not thread safe to read client session object or read read-only UOW object if they are ever expired or ever refreshed.
We got stack dump below in an application always reading and writing objects from UOW, so we believe that TopLink doesn’t synchronize correctly when it’s updating the client session objects.

As a general rule of thumb, the ATI Rage 128 Pro will not support a 20" LCD. That being said, there are reports of it doing just that (possibly the edition that went into the cube).
I'm not that familiar with the ins and outs of the Cube, so I can't give you authoritative information on it.

IDoc Status 02 ( Could not find code page for receiving system )

Hi All,
I am getting Idoc status 02 when I am trying to send IDocs from ECC to PI system ( Production ).
Error description.
Could not find code page for receiving system
Message no. E0266
Diagnosis
For the logical destination PIP001, you want to determine the code page in which the data is sent with RFC. However, this is not currently possible, and the IDoc cannot yet be dispatched.
Procedure for System Administration
Possible causes are:
1. The entry no longer exists in the table of logical destinations.
2. The target system could not be accessed at runtime.
3. The logon language is not installed in the target system.
4. In the destination system, no logon language is maintained

Hi Vinay,
Status 02 occurs when data is not passed to port suceessfully. Check the RFC desination is working fine and your able to connect to target system and also check correct port is assigned.

Hi Chemmanz,
The dynamic filename generation concept is as follows.
In your filename field. just give a variable with % symbols. (eg: %file% ).
Now, under the option Variable Name Substitution, you can give how the value has to be created.
It can be your interface name, sender service name, etc or it can be some value dynamically from your payload.
For the former, your give
message:interface_name ,etc
and for the payload part you give,
Payload: "your element root which u wanna acecss"

Idoc Error: Could not find code page for receiving system

I am facing the following error while processing Idocs.
ERROR: Could not find code page for receiving system
Diagnosis
For the logical destination BWFIN, you want to determine the code page in which the data is sent with RFC. However, this is not currently possible, and the IDoc cannot yet be dispatched.
Can somebody suggest a solution for this. I have verified that the RFC destinations have been created both on the sender and receiver, ports (WE21) have been defined, and partner profiles (WE20) also created. How would I troubleshoot this problem?

I did analyse on this issue.It is all because of the Langauge settings in the SM59.This can be done by the BASIS person.The Language field would be empty, but when ever we send the IDoc from the unicode to a non unicode system we have to mention the Langauage used.

check Note 647495 - RFC for Unicode ./. non-Unicode Connections
If your ERP system sends e. g. chinese data to the SCM system, how should the system know which codepage to use? You have to set the MDMP flag in your ERP system in SM59 and configure in the MDMP extended settings which codepage should be used for what language.

File transport does not have read/write privileges for receive location???

Hi all.
I try to read an EDI-file from a file location.
In configured the receive location but when I enable it I get an error message in the log saying:
File transport does not have read/write privileges for receive location "Location" (Event ID: 7183)
The location is correct (I used the browse option) and the folder is shared with all users (full access for everybody).
How can I get rid of this error

Configure plain http adapter for receiving message from an external system

Hi,
we use Pi/700.
Now I have an external system and I have to use HTTP (plain) to send messages to XI (via plain http adapter).
I have no experiences with HTTP!
In the external system I can only configure "URL, Username, Password" for sending messages - that's all!
What do I have to configure in XI (communication channel, abap-stack, java-stack,...)?
I don't know the URL of my XI-system. Is there an transaction code to get this information?
Why do I need a Username/Pasword?
For testing I can use a "http-post test tool" I found here in this forum.

Here My system is the Business service created in Integration directory of XI, Interface is the one created in Integration Repository (This is Outbaound from external sys to XI)

Data Types : 1) Source Structure data type(from extenal sys)
             2) Target structure (where u want to send from XI)
Message Types : 2 with above DT's
Message Interface: 1) Outbound, Async (Order_out)
                   2) Inbound , Async (for the target sys)
Then Message mapping and Interface mapping as usual..
And in ID u have to create 2 services one is XY_BSservice for sending system and the other is for receiving system...
For sending system no communication channel required...
