DD07T Table entries- Transport to other systems

Hi All,
I am trying to change the desc of short texts for a domain in DD07T. Iam successful in changing the desc and save the values. However, while saving it didnt ask for transport request. And when I try using the option - Tranport entries - It throwed me an error - system entries cant be transported directly and given some tips hpw to do the same.
For DD07* table we need an entry in request as R3TR DOMA.
I created a request and tried adding the domain entry manually. However, I got an error saying - Repaired objects cannot be included in dev./correction <TR Number>
Anyone has clue on how to do it?
Thanks & Regards,
Swarna Munukoti

Hi,
Please go to SE16N,
Give the table name
Press Enter
In the transaction code bar enter '&SAP_EDIT' and press enter.
SAP editing function is activated.
now click on execute.
The table will open in EDIT mode. But, please make sure that you are editing correctly the totals.
1. Use SE09 to
Either create a new workbench request
or goto the old request (Objects Tab)
2. Press Edit button
3. Enter the following in the row:
Prog Id = R3TR
Obj Type = TABU
Obj Name = MyTableName
Then Press ENTER
4. A Key Button will come on the Right column.
Press it. A New screen will come.
5. In table name enter : MyTableName
In Table Keys enter : KeyFields*
Save the request and transport.
Hope it helps.

  • Custom table entries transportable / maintainable in production environment

    Hi,
I have a custom table with table maintenance generator (automatic transport of table entries). I would also like to maintain the table entires in the production environment (i.e. using SM30 transaction, rather than transporting the entries from Quality). I hope there is a cofiguration to do this.
Could any one help me on this.
    Thanks in advance.

Adding to what others have suggested, it is not advisable to give SM30 access to your users. Its better to create a parameter transaction for the maintainance dialog and give the user access to that transaction. Other way of restricting the access is using authorization group selection while creation of maintainance dialog (&NC& will give access to every one). Check the below link to see how to create a parameter transaction for sm30.

  • Transport type when copying transports to other system

    Hello,
probably a simple question. I have to transport couple transports from one system to another, there is no link between the systems.
I have created one (mass) transport which include objects of these transports, but I am not sure what type of the transport should I choose (transport of copies, relocations (it is not clear to me)), also I do not want to release the one big transport to Q systems transport queue. I just want it to create the cofiles to move to other system.
So question will be how to copy this one transport (via cofile, data file), or if it is possible to release transport without target system?
    Thanks in advance
    Martin

    Hi,
Please ensure that STMS is configured in your system, since it is a stand alone system you can make it as a Domain Controller also. After that goto transaction se10 and check for the transaction which are in modifiable state. Then relese the transport starting from the inner request corresponding the transport request created by you.
Note that once you release this trasaction data files and cofiles are created in trans directory, and you have to manullay copy these files to the system in which you want to transport these files.
After that goto transaction stms_impot in the target system and add this transport request and import it. the data in the transport reuest will qutomatically gets imported the.

  • Table entries transport help

    Hi friends,
I need to transport a selected entry from a table. how can i do that. could somebody help me.
    Thanks,
    Kiran

    Go to SE10.
    Click on the 'Create' icon.
Select 'Workbench Request'(assuming your table is not customizing table).
    Enter description and click 'Save'.
Put cursor on the task (lower number of the two) and in menu, 'Request/task>Change Type>Development/correction'.
With cursor on the task(lower number), click 'Object List' icon on the toolbar.
Once in, you need to toggle to 'Change' mode using the pencil icon.
Then click on 'New Entries'. Now add the R3TR, TABU, <ZTAB> in the first row.
Again in the menu, select 'Extras>Change object function>Key according to key list'.
Now go to the menu, 'Goto-->Key list'. In the subsequent screen, click on 'Insert line' icon(with a + sign).
Click on 'Key fields' button and it will now allow you to enter the values for each key field.
    Hope this is clear.

  • Not all steps transported to other system

    Hi,
    I'm facing a strange problem :
I did some changes on a workflow in the dev-environment. After testing it, we executed the transports to implement the changes on the test-environment.
But the changes I have done aren 't implemented on the workflow in test !
All newly created tasks are transported, but the new steps in the wf are not created.
Apparently, someone did a change directly in test and activated the workflow there.
Can this be the reason ? If so, can someone explain me how I can get the version from dev to test ?
Recreating steps on test is not an option, I want to make sure that everything goed with a transport (otherwise, I have to do the changes on the live system also..)
    thanks for the help !

    Hi Jasper,
thanks for the suggestion, but I tried that already. The new version isn 't transported at all.
It's really bizarre.. I found a note on sap.com, but I'm not entirly sure it will solve my problem...
    it 's note 967392...

  • Transporting table entry with primary key 120 char

    Hi all,
I have 2 separate questions which I feel are closely related.
    In the url:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/cf/21eb6e446011d189700000e8322d00/content.htm
    It says:....
<i>If the key length is greater than 120, there are restrictions when transporting table entries. The key can only be specified up to a maximum of 120 places in a transport. If the key is larger than 120, table entries must be transported generically.</i>
<b>How do I transport the table entries "generically" for such a table?</b>
To further illustrate my actual problem:
My problem in the real world lies with the MIMETYPES table, maintained in trx SMW0.
I select the mime types row by row and do a <u>Table Entry > Transport Entries,</u> but get an error that says
<i>"Key entry for table MIMETYPES may only be generic"</i>.
As a result it fails to attach to my transport.
(Note: the primary key of MIMETYPES is 128 chars long)
The Diagnosis long text says "<i>The key is longer than allowed by the Change and Transport System (120 characters</i>)."
    The Procedure says:
<i>1.  Make sure that you only specify the character fields before the
first non-character key field. You must enter the key with a generic
ending. Enter the generic symbol directly after the specified part
        of the key.
    2.  You must enter the generic symbol at the latest in the 120th
        character of the key.                                              </i>
<b>What is this generic symbol that i need to insert at the 120th position??</b>

    Thanks Nick!
So the mysterious "generic character" is actually the asterisk (*). It works.
Strange tho as the error long text says to insert the "generic character" at the 120th character position of the key, but I found that altho I can save it, the transport still fails with the same error.
I tried placing the * right after the key value e.g.
    KEY123*
    and it worked.
    Thanks again!

  • Transporting Z table entries to QA and Prod

    Hi Guys,
I have z table (has field MANDT) with delivery class A and no table maintenance in Dev box with 600 records. I need to delete 3 records and change 10 records and then transport them to QA and Prod.  I am not adding new records.
    I created one CUSTOMIZING transport.
I am using  SE16 -> Table Entry -> Transport Entries. It is asking for workbench transport instead of Customizing transport.
Can I transport the deleted and changed entries using WORKBENCH transport?
    Please help.

  • Attaching a table entry to a transport request  by a program

    Hi,
I need to create an entry in a database table through my program and at the same time I have to attach the same in a transport request. The Table is client independent.
I am able to create a transport using BAPI_CTREQUEST_CREATE. But does not know how to add the table entry to it.
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Himanshu

    Hi Himanshu,
there are two ways to put table entries in request.
one is if you have table maintenace generator for that table then the table entries will automatically store in the request.
second way using the tcode se16 execute the entries. select the entries by check box, from menu table entry -> transport entries.
using this two ways you can transport the table entries.

  • Transporting variants to other systems

    Hi
This is kind of a basis issue, I have a report transported to Quality ( and to production). Now i have to create a variant in Development server and transport it to Quality (as i do not have rights to create variants directly over there).
I understand that in case we have named the variants CUS&<variant> , it gets transported to other system along with the report.
Now the scene is , my report is already in production, and i have to supply the variants from development server.
    Revert at the soonest.
    Regards
    Alok Pathak

    Hi Alok,
You can create the varinat in the dev system & tie it to a Transport Request using the standard Program RSTRANSP.

  • Table Maintenance - Transport

    Hi,
Can anyone share their experiences to the concerns i have .
if the table Delivery class is 'A' . will the table maintenance that is created be transported to other system or will it have any potential issues.
(ii) i have created a table maintenance for a table with Delivery Class 'A'  and transported, the transport went fine but in the other environment it says the table maintenance is not defined.
Do i have to change any thing in the Technical attributes of the Table?
    please suggest.
    regards,
    Ry

    Hi,
    1. Transport of table maintenance has nothing to do
       with the delivery class.
If we properly transport the table maintenance which
is actually contained in a function group,
       then it should go ok.
Just make sure that the function group is new and
is used only for this table. It is recommended not to
mix function groups with other tables.

    amit m.

  • Event trigger on transport of ABAP table entries

    Hi Experts,
I have an issue with respect to the scenario mentioned.
Scenario is that I have a Z-table in Dev which is maintained through SM30 once the data is saved ,the event"02 After saving the data in the database" ,I have linked a include program to this event which triggers a abap proxy to send data to SAP PI Java stack cache, this scenario is used in value mapping replication from Z-table.
The problem is the QA and PRD Client has status 'not modifiable'.
So can these Z-table entries when transported to QA or PRD ,trigger an event which can call my proxy program to send the full load to the SAP PI system.
    Thanks
    -Alok

Hi I can try to give the information for the z-table entries to be transported to QA or Prod environment?
Ans) Yes, we can transport these Z-table entries to the the QA and Prod system environment, but the z table 'devliery and maintenance" table defines the technical attributes for this Z-table.
in the delivery and maintenance tab, you can define the deliver class. Suppose if your delivery class type is C, G, E, S: The data records of the table are copied to the target client.
Hope this information can be useful.
    thanks

  • Include table entries into Transport Request manually @ SM31

    Hi All,
I have an issues reg table maintenance at SM31.
We have a Z Table and I can add entries at SM31 to that table. But:
System has not asked Transport request while saving the data (after additions to the table)
Option to include in Transport Request manually is not available @ menu -> Edit -> Transport -> Include in request. Include in Request is not highlighted to select here.
Pls help me the process to add my table entries into a Transport Request.
    Thank you
    Chandu

    Hi,
seems like your table is defined as Application table (master and transaction data).
    Check SE11 to be sure
Database table: enter name > Display > Delivery & Maintenance
Delivery Class > is this A?
If so then there is no transport and it can be maintained in all systems.
You could try if required to create manual transport via SE01.
    Programm ID: R3TR
    Object: TDAT
    Objectname: your table name
    Regards
    Hein
