DDTS-100 not work

Hi. I recently obtained a DDTS-00. It worked fine, until today. I used it for a short while, then turned it off. I came back an hour later, tried to turn it on, but nothing happened. The red light wasn't on like normal. Power was plugged in, and the power supply felt slightly warm (but not as warm as when the DDTS is working.) The outlet was fine. I tried another outlet anyway, but had no luck. The power supply isn't generating any heat now, either.
Seems to me like the power supply isn't working. Anyone else have these troubles?

Your connection since you use the ddts-100 is digital so you use a coaxial or optical cable and the maximum speakers that can play with digital signal are 6.1.
If you want to use all of you speakers you have to connect the 4:3 cable. You can connect it directly from your soundcard to your speakers or through the cable divider .
Now if you're using the 4:3 cable check in Creative Audio Console that you check 7.1 option.
I hope I helped you.

  • New Monitor Canopus 100 Not Working in iMovie 06

My Element Electronics Monitor stopped working. I hooked up my Vizio TV to my computer and it works fine. I can get either TV, Computer, VCR etc. I used to be able to attach my Canopus ADVC100 to the monitor and I could watch TV thru iMovie. The monitor and computer recognized anything I had attached to the Canopus as a camera device ie DVD, VCR camcorder or tv. Now I cant do that thru canopus. Anybody have any ideas. I am thinking I need a monitor and not a TV.

Not easy to figure out what this has to do with iMovie 6.
I am thinking I need a monitor and not a TV
    That about covers it.

  • Frequency distribution on  ceiling(measure/100) not working always sums

I'm trying to create a frequency distribution on a measure total time in secs in usage tracking and I can't seem to get the measure to not sum.
    I've tried:
    case (ceiling(measure/1000) as char(5))
setting the "Treat as an attribute column" in the column formula
setting aggregation rule to "None" in the column formula
    Any suggestions would be appreciated

in 11G I have found that for this to work the column you are using cannot have an aggregate rule in the rpd.

  • Casio CDP 100 not working

I bought a Casio CDP 100 and a MIDI to USB cable. I cannot seem to get my computer to recognize the keyboard. Can someone walk me through how to set it up? I need to do this for Garageband but more importantly, Reason 3.0

trying to figure out how I can get my Casio CDP to send signal into my Logic Pro
Here's something you could try. (These instructions are basically for 10.6; in 10.5 it's similar.) Find this program:
    Macintosh HD/Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup
Launch it. Use the Window menu to show and view the MIDI window (which is probably called "MIDI Studio"). It should look something like this (this screenshot is from 10.5; in 10.6 it's similar):
You should see that icon marked Mbox 2. Do you?

  • Creative DDTS-100 Decoder - Stereo - Surround

    Hello,
I ordered the DDTS-100 and stands with the Ddts-100 now before a problem.
I wanted to connect the dvd-player and tv with the DDTS-100 and enjoy then surround sound, but I heared that this the DDTS-100 not really can do, tune that?
If I cannot let stereo sound on 5.1 sound, for what is the decoder then good?
    Thanks for your answers.

i have the exact same problem
i bought it so that i could use the dolby prologic II from my playstation, everything works except for the sub-signal
if i use the test function on the remote control, the sub does work though
i tried optical in (all 3 of'm), analog in (all 3), different cables, different games, different speakers
i tried it with the optical out from nvidia soundstorm, but no sub-signal either
and when i use the nvidia test function, the sub makes a noise again
i bought this because most reviews where rather positive about this product, and now it's kinda useless, racing / gaming / watching a movie without bass is ridiculous

  • Connecting DDTS-100 and Audigy 2 ZS

    Hello!
I have some problems with DDTS-100. My systen curently is: Creative S750, DDTS-100 and Audigy 2 ZS. I can't understand how this DDTS-100 is working. I try to coneect Audigy2 ZS to DDTS using coaxial connection, but when I done this DDTS sound only in Stereo mode. Is it OK. I can't tur on Dolby and DTS on it. Then I try to connect some radio uzing Anolaog input. When I uze Analog input I can Chose betven Stereo Dolby and DTS, But still I cant Switch on Dolby digital or differnet sound modes. And if I tur On Dolby or NEO6 then I don't hera sound from side speakers . I'm wery upsad. I can't Understand how this DDTS-100 is working...
    Pls give me some advice...
    Regards,
    RaimizA

Analog output on the soundcard --> DDTS-100 switchbox
    Switchbox --> DDTS-100 main unit
    Switchbox --> Speakers
Digital out on the soundcard --> Coaxial input on the DDTS-100 main unit
The digital output on the soundblaster can ONLY SEND OUT EITHER A PCM STEREO SIGNAL OR AN ENCODED DATA STREAM (AC-3). In order to make the DDTS-100 decode the data stream correctly you MUST have the software set to SPDIF passthrough and also have that set in the Audio HQ or the Audio console. Put the switchbox to decoder mode. The only way to light up the lights of the DTS and Dolby Digital is to feed the main unit with an encoded data stream of those sound formats. If you try to play anything and put it through the digital out that is not DTS or DD you are going to get... Stereo.
In order to get sound from the side speakers you must first set the switch on the back of the DDTS-100 main unit to 6.1/7.1 and set the upmix to 5.1-->7.1 or 6.1-->7.1 (depending on the source) on the main volume controller of the S750.

  • Magic Mouse - browser navigation backswipe not working.

Hey, is anyone else having a failing experience using the back nagivagation swipe function of the magic mouse?
As of OSX Mavericks install, the single swipe does not swipe back to previous pages visited.
I am sure this is a bug, and kind of surprised it wasn't caught during beta?
I am however, running dual screens (15" retina monitor, and 27" thunderbolt) but can't imagine that would make any difference.

Nadnerb, you are using the "magic" mouse correct?
I might suggest switching the power off the magic mouse, then under your bluetooth devices, remove the magic mouse. Then turn on the mouse, and reconnect it bluetooth again.
Then test the functionality of the mouse. If it still does not scroll, go into the system:mouse settings and check that those functions are enabled.
If they are, and it's still unable to scroll, is it 100% not working under Safari - or are all applications not working with the scroll? If no applications aren't working, there may be a chance that the sensor in the magic mouse failed.
Would be surprised if that was the case.

  • DDTS-100 Issue - PC Switchbox Works but Stereo Input to Decoder does not

I recently sold a DDTS-100 to someone on eBay. It was working fine for me when I shipped it. I had an XBOX, PS2, PC, and TV Tuner connected to a Creative Inspire P5800 5.1. The new owner states that the PC works fine with the switchbox, but when switched to "decoder" he gets no audio from stereo inputs from his XBOX. Anyone have recommendations or link to a site, forum post, or other, for him as far as root causing the issue?

Yes, I read it here: http://www.ausmedia.com.au/Creative%20DDTS-00.htm
I was thinking, the only way I can think of doing this, and I'm not definately sure you could either, is to connect a 7.1 sound card to the switchbox of the DDTS-100 decoder with a 7.1 audio cable (lime green, black, orange and grey), with only the standard 5.1 connects (lime green, black and orange) going to the switchbox, and the grey/side speaker connect going into a pair of active speakers or a hi-fi. As I say, I'm not sure - but maybe this is something along the lines of what they meant? Other than that, maybe the reviewer was high at the time! :manvery-happy:

  • What speakers work with the Creative Labs DDTS-100 Digital Decoder-Upto 7.1

what speakers do the Creative Labs DDTS-100 Digital Decoder-Upto 7.1 work with thanks

Unless the Digital 5500 speaker set has analog inputs it can't be used with the DDTS-100. You must connect the DDTS-100 to a speaker system through the analog outputs either from the main unit or the switchbox. I have not heard of any cables to convert analog audio into digital form so digital speakers can understand and play it.
The best speaker system? I have absolutely no idea dude. You must be the judge of that, if it is you who are going to listen to it. I like my S750 system but that is me. You have to read loads of info and reviews and preferably listen to them in a store if you can.

  • European to UK Adapter work on a Creative DDTS-100?

    Hi
I got a Creative Decoder DDTS-100 of a friend but it only comes with a European AC power supply that has two round prongs and I need one for the UK mains, so I was wondering if anyone knows whether one of those European to UK Adapters would work with the DDTS-100 and if they would then what strength of fuse would would I need in order to power the DDTS-100?
I have tried a adapter my mom gave me but it only has a amp fuse inside it and it didn`t power the DDTS-100 so i`m wondering if it would be because the amp on the fuse is too low?
    Thanks for responding.

  • Ddts-100 + audigy2 zs + 550thx mega works. only left/right output

just purchased and installed the above system. however, when doing the software test under speaker settings, i only get front left and front right. all the others dont work. i have miniplug out from audigy (digital output) to (coaxial input) decoder, then decoder out (front left/right, rear left/right, sub/front) to megaworks input (front left/right, rear left/right, sub/front). i do the test on the ddts-100 decoder, and i get all 5.1 channels. now, just to clarify, i used the supplied mini plug to rca, that rca to the rca input (coaxial) the plug is the mono plug that came with the decoder. do i need to go out and buy the 4 pole mini plug? why dont they just supply it instead of the mono plug.. which isnt even shown to be used in my manuals.
anyway, clarification would be good on the mono/4 pole miniplug. otherwise nice sound so far.cant turn it up cuz its midnight and highly doubt the neighbours would appreciate it.
    cheers
    Steve

Hmmm... My guess is that this is due to your setup with digital out. Since the digital out on your soundcard will not pass through anything other than stereo PCM or encoded SPDIF data you will not get anything else but FL and FR channels when calibrating. Read more about this is the soundblaster forum section here.
My suggestion, as I'm sure everyone else will, is to connect your soundcard using the analogue outputs into the switchbox of the DDTS-100.
Edit: to be more precise this is how you can connect everything: from your soundcard, connect the analogue outputs into the switchbox of the DDTS-100. Connect the switchbox to the main DDTS-00. Connect the DDTS-00 main to the speakers. Now, connect the digital out from your soundcard into the coaxial input on the DDTS-100. When doing a calibration, switch to PC mode on the switchbox and calibrate. If you then want to use the digital out, enable digital out only in the speaker or THX settings. I use this setup at home actually but use the T7700 speakers instead.

  • DDTS-100 loud headphone hiss, but not from speaker out?

It would seem I've lucked out big time with the 550 & ddts-100 purcahse. I'm looking into what the supplier can do for me regards the 550 as Creative are as useless as ever.
However, last nite I noticed that both headphone jacks on the DDTS-100 decoder produce a very noticeable amount of hiss, but the speaker outputs on the back do NOT. The hiss is there will everything unplugged from the unit.
This is the exact situation as I have with the 550 in reverse - there is was perfect with headphone, but hiss on the speakers. With the decoder it's the speakers that are fine (if using something other than my 550's lol but headphones are hissy as.
What gives? Why is this, and more to the point, should it be like that? Can anyone else with a ddts-100 report in? My headphones are not cheap crap either, they're probably about US$250, and Senheisers.

Nah, there is no volume control on the headphones, and even speakers attached directly to the headphone jack get hiss. It's weird, the headphone jack outputs at a much lower line level (I need to set the DDTS-100 line level much higher) but yet there is more hiss. It must be coming from a seperate circuit than the speaker outs.
I'd really like to hear back from other people with DDTS-100s as to how their ones work - hiss or no hiss.
    Thanks,
    Josh

  • Satellite 1800-100: video-out does not work

    He,
I just installed windows XP on my old Satellite 1800-100, but now my video-out does not work anymore. So I just downloaded the latest driver, but there's no way I can get it installed. According to Windows the new driver isn't newer, so it won't let me update it. And when i try to unistall the display driver, I have to reboot before it takes effect, and wile rebooting it automaticly installs the standard driver again.
    Can anybody help me?
    Greets,
    Daan

    Hi
Do you mean TV- out port or monitor port? As far as I know this unit is preinstalled with WXP Home and all drivers can be also used for WXP Pro.
Did you preinstall your own OS (non recovery image)?

  • AUDIODG.EXE hogging 80-100% of CPU and sound not working in Vista . . .

I posted this on a Microsoft Answers Forum but none of the techs or people reading have been able to help so far.  I'm dying to get to the bottom of this:
    Here is my computer:
    MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum
    AMD Athlon 64 3000+
    2GB RAM
    XFX GEFORCE 6600 GT 128MB DDR3 DUAL DVI & TV OUT (PCI-E)
    200GB WD SATA HDD
500GB WD HDD in external enclosure via USB2
NEC ND-3520A 16X DVD±RW Dual Layer DVD Burner
    LG CD Burner
I've been using Vista Home Premium successfully for some time.  Recently, not too long after I did a clean wipe of my OS, my audio would stop working.  The way it would happen is that everything would work fine until I started iTunes or another audio application and when I would hit play, things would lock up.
Upon inspection of my system resources, I'm noticing that the audio platform for Vista, via the audiodg.exe, is using close to 100% of my CPU resources, even when the computer is making no sound at all.
I've had a Sound Blaster Live! card in my computer for some time but I was not using it; I use the Realtek AC'97 audio drivers that are on my motherboard instead.  I thought that the conflict may be the computer wanting to recognize my Sound Blaster, so I took it out of my computer but the problem seems to be worse.
Are there any BIOS setting that need to be adjusted for my sound to start working again?
I'm very reliant on the audio processing power of my computer (I'm in the radio industry, part-time) and this is a huge drag on my productivity.
Any tips would be much appreciated.
    REPLY #1:
Thank you for using Microsoft Answers forum.  I suggest going to the manufacture of your sound card and download the latest drivers and install them.
    MY RESPONSE:
Good suggestion.  The problem is this:
I am running on-board audio.  I have an MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum motherboard which runs "Realtek ALC Series AC97 Audio Driver" and there is no version for Vista. They have a version for Windows 2K/XP and one for Windows XP 64bit.
Should I use on of those and if not, then what?
    UPDATE (from me):
I took a chance and found a Realtek AC'97 driver for Vista.
    http://drivers.softpedia.com/progDownload/Realtek-AC-97-Audio-Codec-Driver-Vista-6183-Beta-Download-18114.html
I went to install it and the install hung.  So, I closed one of the install windows and then the InstallShield app continued like it was working.  So, I hit "Restart my computer".  Well, the reboot hung too.  So, I reset the PC manually.
When the computer came back up, the sound worked.  Hard to tell if this will fix it for good but it's promising.  Chaotic.  Unpredictable.  Annoying.
    REPLY #2:
Before you tried updating drivers, did you try rebooting 1st?
I'm just trying to determine if rebooting your system is what resolved the issue - thank you
    UPDATE II (from me):
My computer is behaving the same way it was before.  AUDIODG.EXE taking up 80-100% of my CPU and the sound not working.
    Any other ideas?

Small update: Despite my intelligence, good looks and vast experience I use Google sometimes. To my surprise this file turns out to be a Windows one. Here is someone who is much happier, and since it is some way in my line of thinking I'll quote it, but you might take my previous advice as well:
    http://forums.techarena.in/windows-vista-performance/1012315.htm
"- Open up msconfig.exe > Manage startup programs.
    - Disable ALL Realtek entries
    - Close msconfig.exe
    - Right-click on the speaker icon > Audio devices > Speakers (properties)
    - Go to the enhancements tab
    - Check the box to disable all audio enhancements
    - Close the menu
    - Right-click on the speaker icon > Recording devices
    - Disable all your microphones (yeah..., the actual problem seems to come
    from voice inputs rendering..)
    - Close the menu
    - Restart your computer"
