Debugging UIX 2.2.15 apps with JDev 10.1.3 [JSP TLD Namespace error]

Hi,
I am trying to get JDeveloper 10.1.3 (JTINTEG_MAIN_NT_050601.1217.428) to work with UIX 2.2.15 (*not* UIX 3.x/ADF).
I am currently getting the following "not a registered TLD namespace" JSP errors during compiling.
Project: C:\jdev1013\jdev\mywork\VTFLite322\VTFLite322\VTFLite322.jpr

Error(1): "http://xmlns.oracle.com/bibeans/jsp" is not a registered TLD namespace
Question:
Is it possible to configure JDeveloper 10.1.3 to work with older versions of UIX (e.g. 2.2.x)?
Am I missing something obvious? I have tried various things on OTN that didn't work (i.e. searched JDeveloper forum for 'TLD namespace' and 'UIX 2.2').
I am currently not having problems debugging Thick Java components, but would like to standardize development/debugging for both Thick (Java) and Thin (UIX 2.2.x) on one 10.1.3 JDeveloper platform.
For reference, I am currently trying to migrate from the production JDeveloper 10.1.2.0.0 (Build 1811) release, where UIX 2.2.x applications work fine. Near term I do not have a need migrate previous applications to UIX 3.x/ADF.
Thanks

  • Trying to debug Worklist app with JDeveloper

    We managed to get the worklistapp compiling under JDeveloper. Now, I'd like to debug it.
    In order to debug (by running in the OC4J container within JDeveloper), it looks like I have to run the worklistapp as a remote client (specifying REMOTE_CLIENT or SOAP_CLIENT in the BaseServlet's init function). I used REMOTE_CLIENT. I also updated wf_client_config.xml and included the ORACLE_HOME/bpel/system/services/config directory in the classpath.
    When I try to run the worklist app from JDeveloper, I get a null ptr exception (the line 'wfSvcClient.getAuthorizationService(idCtx);' is returning a null value for the authorization service):
    Source breakpoint occurred at line 660 of TaskList.java.

    I did start up the user metadata services and runtime config services(I can see all the soap endpoints for the workflow services from a browser). But the worklist app doesn't seem to connect to the remote server. I did update my wf_client_config.xml to point to the remote server on which BPEL is located. And the wf_client_config.xml file is in the classpath.
    If I deploy the worklist app on the server with bpel (specifying the parent as 'orabpel', it all works fine). I just can't get it working as a remote client.
    So, any suggestions? I've been looking at threads on this forum to get to this point, but now I'm stuck.
    Thanks,
    Sachin

    I thought I'd ping this thread to see if anyone has been able to debug the Worklist application with JDeveloper. We are trying to customize the worklist application, and being able to use JDeveloper to debug would greatly help out.
    However, I have still been unable to get the worklist application to be able to connect to the workflow services remotely via the SOAP_CLIENT:
    wfSvcClient = WorkflowServiceClientFactory.getWorkflowServiceClient(
    WorkflowServiceClientFactory.SOAP_CLIENT);
    I've played around with the classpath to make sure I have all the jars (based on other similar threads in this forum), but have not had any luck yet.
    From a web browser, I can specify the SOAP endpoint to the Workflow services, and am able to call the service in the browser.
    I updated my wf_client_config.xml file to point to the endpoints. e.g:
    <taskQueryService>
    <soapEndPoint>http://myserver:8888/integration/services/TaskQueryService/TaskQueryService</soapEndPoint>
    </taskQueryService>
    Thanks for any help,
    Sachin

  • How to debug web app with weblogic?

    I wrote a web app that includes jsp files and some javabeans, then I put the jsp files to directory
    mydomain\applications\DefaultWebApp
    then I complied javabeans and put those classes to
    mydomain\applications\DefaultWebApp\WEB-INF\classes
    Then I start the weblogic,it runs very well.
    I modified some javabean, complie them and put classes override the old classes,
    but the web app can not find the new classes.
    Any one know How to debug web app(with javabeans) in weblogic?
    thanks!

    how to config the hot deploy?
    thxSorry, for this delay in responding. I had set notify me with email option in Watch This topic; but I never did get any email notification.
    I use wls6.1; I think the process may be very similar to this in wls8.x. In wls6.1 (sp5), this is done via the -
    Dweblogic.ProductionModeEnabled=False or
    Dweblogic.ProductionModeEnabled=True
    in the startup cmd/sh script. Out of the box, wls6.1 is set to Dweblogic.ProductionModeEnabled=False which automatically enables hot deploys.

  • Issue With Apps Adapter JDev 11.1.1.3

    Hi ,
    We are facing some issue with Oracle Apps Adapter with Jdev 11.1.1.3. The wrappers for PLSql APIs were not properly generated.
    If anyone having such issue/solution pls share the same.
    Thanks In Adv
    Venkata Madhu

    Hi Anuj,
    I sent email to ur official id with the issue details. 1 query i have here, Can i generate wrapper using 10g Adapter and consume in OSB 11.1.1.3?.
    Also some funny issues we are facing with API's. If the API create/modified, immediately we couldn't able to generte the wrapper if generate also, the response is not in xsd defined format.
    But if we re-generate the wrapper after sometime, it work with no issues. Don't why.

    We have no experience with this. I advice you to post a question in the JDeveloper forum and see if the JDeveloper Wizard supports UIX 2.1.20, because that is the version of UIX that will be used after you copied the UIX libraries we supply. If not, you should restore the libraries as delivered with JDeveloper.

    Version 2.1.20 is beyond 2.1.7. I don't know what version is delivered with JDeveloper 9.0.3 but I as far as I know, JDeveloper 9.0.4 comes with UIX version 2.1.19.
    I do not think there is that much difference between the UIX version as delivered with JDeveloper and 2.1.20, that you cannot succesfully use the online UIX Developers Guide of JDeveloper. For questions about UIX, please refer to the UIX forum (technologies -> UIX) or the JDeveloper forum.

    The test is easer.
    I make a new Empty Project like J2EE13. After create a new JSP (Web tier -> JSP).
    I chose j2ee version 1.3. So I put some jsp code inside, like
    <body>
    <%
    out.write("Teste J2EE 1.3");
    %></body>
    After I create a new Deployment Profiles WAR File.
    Make a build, a .war file and .ear and everythink worked.
    So I make a J2EE Deplyment Descriptor Wizard with version 1.3
    And make rebuil project.
    JDev don't finish the rebuild. The thread dump with CRTL+BREAK :

  • Toplink\JPA vs JDBC - Toplink died for my app with 5000 users

    Hi All Just a quick question about performance when comparing toplink jpa ans jdbc.
    I have an app I just develpoed using toplink for all data acces that will have approx 5000 users and initial testing with 200 things look good. However after launch and going live for 5000 people the app blew up. Lot's of memory heap errors, and TopLink exceptions...
    To make things work I have replaced all the toplink with traditional JDBC, this works but I am currious as to why toplink blew up? I notice when JDev creates the Toplink code that it never does any checking for open connections and never explicitly closes connections. Is this something that I have to do?
    I should not that I was not using datacontrols directly, I created a datacontrol but then ised the FacesContext to create a list of results in the backing bean??
    Anyway, I know that's not a great description but I thought I would throw this question out there and see what people had to say?
    Thanks
    J

    It is hard to say where a memory issue occurred. Normally usage of a memory profiler such as JRockit JRA, or JProfiler is useful in debugging such issues.
    There were a couple related memory issues in previous releases, so ensure you have the latest release or patch release.
    Using an isolated (shared=false) or weak cache may also help.
    In general you should be able to scale to 5000 users without any issues.

    Benalua,
    (sorry, I don't know how to type the "u" with the diacritic mark above it in your name)
    Did you deploy the ADF 10.1.3.3 libraries to the 10.1.3.1 app server? An alternative might be to apply the 10.1.3.3 patch to the 10.1.3.3 app server.

    Hello,
    is there someone out there who has experience with deploying JDeveloper SOAP Services with JBOSS?
    I get one error after an other.
    Here is just the next one:

    Hope that this monolog will get to an end and someone can help me.

    does anyone had this problem , please help, i´m trying to solve this problem and still couldn´t make it.
    Best Regard,
    Vitor

    Applications that you build with JDeveloper 11g are normally aimed at WebLogic 10.3 servers.
    They require Java EE 1.5 and JDK 6.

  • Error occurred in deployment step 'Install app for SharePoint': The provided App differs from another App with the same version and product ID.

    I am facing this problem while start debugging the Provider-Hosted app through VS2013. I want to deploy the app with same version. So please let me know any solution
    to remove the app instance from office365 online, so that I can deploy the same app with same version on the specified "Developer Site".
    Note: If I change the version in AppManifesst.xml file then this problem/error gets resolved. But I want to deploy with the same version as
    per my business requirement.
    The actual error renders while I click to "Start" button of the Visual Studio 2013 to deploy the provider-hosted app, for the sake
    to deploying it on say "ABC" site collection (i.e. developer site). I work on office365 online. Therefore, request you to please provide the solution for SharePoint online office 365. The occurrences is:
    "Error occurred in deployment step 'Install app for SharePoint': The provided App differs from another App with the
    same version and product ID."
    Please assist me anyone. It will be so kind of you.....

  • Compile PL/SQL with JDEV 11g TP4 - Compile button missing ?

    Hi
    I have been working through the database development with Jdeveloper tutorial:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/obe11jdev/11/db_dev/obe_%20databasedevmt.htm
    this, as name suggests, discusses db development with jdev 11g TP4.
    However I seem to have an issue with the section named 'Creating and Debugging PL/SQL Objects in the Database'.
    In section 9 of 'creating a pl/sql package' the tutorial talks about a compile for debug button on the code editor. This essentially compiles the package against the DB, however in my Jdev, this button is does not exist. Is this just because this is only a tech preview version or is there some further config I need to do?
    Versions are..
    OS: Vista SP1
    JDEV: 11.1.1.0.0
    DB: 10.2.0.1.0
    Thanks in advance

  • Problems with JDev 11g using JBOSS and ANT

    Hi,
    I'm trying to migrate to JDev 11g with JBoss ( version 7.X ) as the AppServer
    With JDev 10g all works fine with JBoss, even the Remote Debug, all OK
    here is the problems I have :
    1) ANT
    JDev doesn't save my ANT settings
    every time I launch ANT : Run Ant Target - I must set the Advance settings
    JDev 10g I only need to do that once, the settings are saved but not in the 11g, why ?
    2) persistence
    I get this error when deploying to JBoss
    16:34:50,967 INFO [org.jboss.as.server] (HttpManagementService-threads - 1) JBA
    S015870: Deploy of deployment "prod_v0.0.1_iDigital.menu.ear" was rolled back wi

    nit.\"prod_v0.0.1_iDigital.menu.ear#InfraModel\"jboss.naming.context.java.jdbc.s

    it seems that is something related to dependencies not well configured during build stage of the EAR, but with 10g works fine
    BTW, I can't run my project with WebLogic either, gives this error :

    I can't say many about the ant stuff, but have you tried to put the parameters in a property file and use this to get the parameters to ant?
    The reason you can't run the application on WLS is that you have not installed the adf runtime on your wls. The error 'application.xml: [Extension-Name: adf.oracle.domain, exact-match: false].' points to this.

    Did you read the tips at http://todayguesswhat.blogspot.com/2010/09/jdeveloper-11gr1-integrated-weblogic.html ?
    Tip 3 – Credential Store and Keystore configuration in DefaultDomain of integrated WebLogic Server
    Note, DOMAIN_HOME below refers to %JDEV_USER_HOME%\system11.1.1.3.37.56.60\DefaultDomain
    The file %DOMAIN_HOME%\config\fmwconfig\jps-config.xml contains the various service provider types and actual instance/implementations of these configured for the domain.
    <serviceProviders>
    <serviceProvider type="CREDENTIAL_STORE" name="credstoressp" class="oracle.security.jps.internal.credstore.ssp.SspCredentialStoreProvider">
    <description>SecretStore-based CSF Provider</description>
    </serviceProvider>
    <serviceProvider type="KEY_STORE" name="keystore.provider" class="oracle.security.jps.internal.keystore.KeyStoreProvider">
    <description>PKI Based Keystore Provider</description>
    <property name="provider.property.name" value="owsm"/>
    </serviceProvider>
    </serviceProviders>
    <serviceInstances>
    <!-- JPS Credential Store Service Instance -->
    <serviceInstance name="credstore" provider="credstoressp" location="./">
    <description>File Based Credential Store Service Instance</description>
    </serviceInstance>
    <!-- KeyStore Service Instance -->
    <serviceInstance name="keystore" provider="keystore.provider" location="./default-keystore.jks">
    <description>Default JPS Keystore Service</description>
    <property name="keystore.type" value="JKS"/>
    <property name="keystore.csf.map" value="oracle.wsm.security"/>
    <property name="keystore.pass.csf.key" value="keystore-csf-key"/>
    <property name="keystore.sig.csf.key" value="sign-csf-key"/>
    <property name="keystore.enc.csf.key" value="enc-csf-key"/>
    </serviceInstance>
    </serviceInstances>
    <jpsContexts default="default">
    <!-- This is the default JPS context. All the mendatory services and Login Modules must be configured in this default context -->
    <jpsContext name="default">
    <serviceInstanceRef ref="credstore"/>
    <serviceInstanceRef ref="keystore"/>
    <serviceInstanceRef ref="policystore.xml"/>
    <serviceInstanceRef ref="audit"/>
    <serviceInstanceRef ref="idstore.ldap"/>
    </jpsContext>
    </jpsContexts>
    The credential store instance referenced above, is a wallet-based credential store (also referred to as a file-based credential store), and will essentially be referring to a file named cwallet.sso in the same directory as the jps-config.xml file (%DOMAIN_HOME%\config\fmwconfig)
    The keystore instance referenced above is a “JKS” file-based keystore, named default-keystore.jks , and found in the same directory as the jps-config.xml file (%DOMAIN_HOME%\config\fmwconfig)
    When DefaultDomain in the integrated WebLogic server is provisioned, cwallet.sso is created, whereas default-keystore.jks is not created!!
    You can leverage the orapki command to get a basic listing of the cwallet.sso contents:
    C:\JDeveloper\system11.1.1.3.37.56.60\DefaultDomain\config\fmwconfig>
    c:\Oracle\Middleware\oracle_common\bin\orapki wallet display -wallet cwallet.sso
