Decimal place rounding - reorder point

Dear experts,
Can you please advise , how can I confirm that  the reorder point will be displayed without decimal point (rounded).
for example in place 79.67 > 79,  in place 80.43>80.

How is the reorderpoint determined? manually entered or automatically calculated and set by SAP?
What is your base unit of measure? does it allow decimals, if yes, why do you want then the reorder point rounded?
If you dont want broken quantities reordered, then you should enter a rounding or a rounding profile in material master MRP view. Or define exact quantities to be reordered.

  • Change decimal place rounding for Meter (M)

    Hi,
    We would like to change the decimal place rounding in transaction CUNI for M from 2 decimal place rounding to 3 decimal place rounding.
    May I know that is there any implications if I do like that? Can I change it back to 2 decimal place rounding later?
    Kindly please advise. Thank you.

    hi
    You can change the decimal places from 2 to 3.
    Even by keeping the decimal places 2 in CUNI, In any masterdata you can give up to 3 decimal places. System will give you warning message only and further calculations it will do based on 3 decimal places.
    At any time you can change it from 3 to 2.  The system will show you 2 decimal places for all master datas.  But for the masterdata you entered 3 decimal places by neglecting the warning message will be shown in 3 decimal places only.

  • Decimal places not allowed

    Hello,
    We have created one materail , their Base unit of measure is "BOX" Checked the CUNI transaction, in that Decimal places  field is "0' and Decimal place rounding filed "0"
    With reff to this material while creation of Purchase order system will allow me to enter Decimal places..Means i can enter 102.132 BOX in qty filed in Purchase order.
    But with ref to same material while creation of process order, system will not allow me to enter decimal places. why?  system should not allow decimal places for BOX unit of measure in Process order.
    sapman man

    you cannot restrict this behaviour with CUNI customizing, you can only check and stop this in a user exit.
    SAP inventory managment allows and stores 3 decimals for any unit of measure. You can only define how it will show the value to the users and how it will round the decimals if it calculates the conversion. But if you enter manually with decimals, then SAP will not round this.

  • Rounding To Nearest Decimal Place

    Hey Flash Family,
    I am getting the correct output i want but is also giving me
    like 8 numbers after the decimal place...all i want is the numbers
    rounded to the nearest cent meaning only 2 numbers to the right of
    the decimal point....what do i need to add to the current code to
    correct this issue.
    Thanks N Advance

    attach that code to the first frame of your main timeline.
    then anytime you need to change the format of a number like
    _root.how.ROIM.val_tcost use:
    _root.return2DecPlaces(_root.how.ROIM.val_tcost);

  • Rounding to 2 decimal places in Derived column transform editor

    I want to replace the contents of a value column with itself but rounded to 2 decimal places.
    The current column is a double and I have tried to perform this using the following expression but it fails to work.
    Code Snippet
    Round(cc_vl,2)
    How should I achieve this?

    I’ll take a guess here but you started with this –
    123.45678
    Got this –
    123.45000
    Wanted this –
    123.45
    So the 123.45000 is absolutely correct, the value has been rounded to 2 digits. A double however has a scale greater than 2, and you only wanted two digits after the point because you were concerned about how the value looked rather than the actual value. This is certainly not a bug. It is how you format the data for display.
    Your solution is the way to do this, either on the Derived Column or Data Conversion Transformation. You got it in the end, the replace versus new, because you cannot change the type of a column. You may convert the value, but the storage type of the column means it will implicitly revert to the base column type when you put it back, albeit with a value that has been rounded.
    Does that explain it?

  • How to restrict the decimal place of a floating point number?

    Hi,
    Here is my code:
    public void TwoDecimal(double u){
         String w = Double.toString(u);
         int c = w.length();
         System.out.println(c);
         if (c <= 5)
            double a = Double.parseDouble(w);
            System.out.println(a);
         else
            System.out.println("Invalid input!");
      }I want to show a floating point number which has 2 digits and 2 decimal places, e.g. 45.82, 29.67. This number is input by user and passed as a parameter.
    For those case like the above sample floating point numbers, it can display the proper value of 'c'. e.g. 45.67 will display 5.
    However, when I passed 99999, it will show 7; 9999 will return 6, not 5.
    So, if the user does not input the '.', does it append 2 implicit chars to it? i.e. 99999.0 and 9999.0. So, that's why it returned 7 and 6 for the length of the string respectively.
    How can I fix it?
    and
    Does it has better algorithm?
    Pls advise.

    When dealing with a known precision, in your case hundredths, it is often a good idea to use an integer type and add in the decimals on printing only. This is often the case in banking systems. Almost all of them use integer types, (read long) in pennies to store monitary values. Ever seen someone type in a value for a credit card machine? For something like $20 they press.. "2" "0" "0" "0" The machine knows the lowest denomonation in a cent, so it knows where to put the decimal place. I suggest you do something like this. It also helps to avoid base 2 round off errors.

  • Rounding off a float to two decimal places

    I want to make a function where I shall pass a float and and integer.
    The float shall have to be rounded off to a value in the integer.
    Can anyone please suggest how to round off a float.
    E.g.: if the float is 12.56890 and I want to round it off to 2 decimal places, then it should be 12.57.
    Regards
    Hawker

    I didn't mention any datatypes like float, double.True, but that is what the question is about, so you weren't answering the question. For a change.
    As I mentioned, that was just a mathematical steps to round of the floating point value. (Not in any programming languages point of view).False. You didn't mention that at all.
    This is the code for that in java.So here you are mentioning datatypes and floats for the same piece of mathematics that you have already been told, with reasons, doesn't work in floating point.
    which seems to be working fine
    Seems to. What evidence do you have that the float actually got rounded? As opposed to got displayed as rounded? Which is not what the OP asked for.
    And of course all that code seems to do is round 0.01 to two decimal places, which again is not what the OP asked for.
    For any remaining fans of this 'technique', please explain the behaviour of the following code:
         public static void     main(String[] args)
              int     count = 0, errors = 0;
              for (double x = 0.0; x < 1; x += 0.0001)
                   count++;
                   double     d = x;
                   int     scale = 2;
                   double     factor = Math.pow(10, scale);
                   d = Math.round(d*factor)/factor;
                   if ((d % 0.01) != 0.0) // if 'd' really has been rounded this should be zero
                        System.out.println(d % 0.01);
                        errors++;
              System.out.println(count+" trials "+errors+" errors");
         }

  • Round off to two decimal places

    hi
    i have a filed in it values are there i want to round off to two decimal places
    which is the function module for it please suggest
    regards
    Arora

    Hi Nishant Arora,
    Please check this code.
    DATA: N1 TYPE P DECIMALS 4 VALUE '0.0565',
               N2 TYPE P DECIMALS 2.
    MOVE N1 TO N2.
    WRITE: N2.
    Here the value is get rounded to 0.06.
    Rather than function modules you go with this. I think it is easier.
    Reward points if useful.

  • Round Down (or not at all) and display as percent to 2 Decimal Places

    Hello,
    I have a report in SSRS with a number of computations done in the tablix.  I need to format an expression such that the value will be displayed as a percentage with 2 decimal places that is truncated(not rounded).
    For example,
    0.66666 should be displayed as 66.66% (not 66.67%)
    0.5 should be displayed as 50.00%
     I have done much Googling and have tried everything I can think of but no luck.
    I would appreciate any help anyone can provide.
    Thanks!
    Scott Olander

    Hi Alisa,
    Thanks for your response; it was very helpful.  Unfortunately I'm still having some difficulty...
    When applied to a hardcoded numeric value, your solution seems to work perfectly:
    =Left(0.66666 *100, 5) &  "%" ---> 66.66%
    I had to modify it slightly when applying it to one of my calculations as whole percentages were not displaying .00 to the right of the decimal point.  This is what I modified it to:
    Left(Format((Fields!CorrectAudits.Value/(Fields!InCorrectAudits.Value + Fields!CorrectAudits.Value) * 100),
    "N"), 5) &
    This works perfectly when applied to this particular calculation, but for some reason when I apply it to the following calculation I get funky results:
    Original calculation:
    = SUM(Fields!CorrectAudits.Value)/SUM(Fields!IncorrectAudits.Value + Fields!CorrectAudits.Value)
    Modified calculation:
    =Left((SUM(Fields!CorrectAudits.Value)/SUM(Fields!InCorrectAudits.Value+Fields!CorrectAudits.Value)*100), 5) & "%"
    Results:
    0.66666 ----> 66.66 %   (This is as desired)
    0.25      -----> 25%        (Should be 25.00%)
    0.07692      ------> 7.692 %  (This should be 7.69%)
    Adding the Format "N" piece to this calculation fixes the issues with 0.25 and 0.07962 but causes 0.6666 to round to 66.67% (not the desired result).
    Do you have any ideas?  Am I doing something wrong and just not seeing it?
    Thanks again for your help.

  • Rounding up decimal places

    Hi,can anyone please tell me how to round up a double type value to 6 decimal places.
    Thank You!

    You should be able to adapt this solution I posted last week:
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jsp?forum=31&thread=412237
    Changing the int's to double's will probably work fine.

  • Rounding up to a particular decimal place

    Hi,
    I'm bringing a field into my report that uses up to eight decimal places.  I'm tasked with rounding things up to the fifth decimal.  Rather than rounding when the number is five or higher, it should always round up if it is above one.
    So for example:
    2.03827893 rounds up to 2.03828000
    11.40032180 rounds up to 11.40033000
    Any ideas on the best approach for achieving this within a Crystal formula?
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Hi Bob,
    Right click on the field and select "Format Field"
    In "Number" tab, select "Custom Style" then click on "Customize"
    In the Roundig box you can select the Rounding type.

  • Rounding a quantity field to one decimal place. PLEASE URGENT

    I have a quantity field with three decimal places. I have to print this field with only one decimal place. This is in a smartform.
    suppose: qty = 45.678
    I want it to be printed as 45.7
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Riki,
    I think you can use Function Module ROUND to round off the value...
    REPORT ZTEST_SHAIL4 .
    data: out type p decimals 1,
    inp type f.
    inp = '45.678'.
    CALL FUNCTION 'ROUND'
    EXPORTING
    DECIMALS =
    input = inp
    SIGN = ' '
    IMPORTING
    OUTPUT = out
    EXCEPTIONS
    INPUT_INVALID = 1
    OVERFLOW = 2
    TYPE_INVALID = 3
    OTHERS = 4
    IF sy-subrc <> 0.
    MESSAGE ID SY-MSGID TYPE SY-MSGTY NUMBER SY-MSGNO
    WITH SY-MSGV1 SY-MSGV2 SY-MSGV3 SY-MSGV4.
    ENDIF.
    Now use the variable 'out' to display the rounded off value...
    Regards,
    SP.

  • Rounding to two decimal places in BPC/NW

    Hello,
    I am dealing with the task to round values to two decimal places. I have found some discussions in BPC-MS where the statement ROUND should work in logic. Unfortunately I am not able to make it work in the NW version.
    Isn't there also a parameter in the appset or application administration which would cut the numbers only to two decimal places (this task would be also a possible solution for us).
    Thanks for any help
    Jan

    Hello Pravin,
    the second import worked fine. I realized that the class has changed to ZCL_BPC_SL_ROUND.
    I debugged the class and noticed that the parameter it_cv is not filled at all. Therefore the program ends before starting the rounding procedure. Here is the part of the code:
    Take CV into account
      clear l_success.
      loop at it_cv into ls_cv.
        clear l_val_string.
        loop at ls_cv-member into l_member.
          if sy-tabix eq 1.
            l_val_string = l_member.
          else.
            concatenate l_val_string l_member into l_val_string separated by ','.
          endif.
        endloop.
        if l_val_string ne space.
          l_success = add_dim_restriction( i_param = l_val_string i_dimension = ls_cv-dimension i_clear = abap_true ).
          if l_success eq abap_false.
            concatenate 'Failed to successfully add Dimension' ls_cv-dimension into l_log_msg
            separated by space.
            cl_ujk_logger=>log( l_log_msg ).
            cl_ujk_logger=>log( 'Exiting Round Method' ).
            cl_ujk_logger=>empty_line(  ).
            raise exception type cx_uj_custom_logic
              exporting messages = et_message.
            exit.
          endif.
        endif.
      endloop.
      if l_success eq abap_false. exit. endif. - here the program exits and therefore doesn't do any rounding.
    If I comment this part the system rounds correctly but runs on all records in the cube which degrades performance a lot.
    Could you please advice further if it is possible to restrict the data region only to the submitted data?
    Best regards
    Jan
