Decimal places in condition records

Hi Friends,
(1) I want to know how to maintain rates in condition records with 7 desimal places. Clients requirement is to maintain price of a material as 0.0009123 per Ton.
Thanks and Regards,
Anil Agrawal

Hi Laxmi,
I know that is cross client thats why i am asking any other solution, I also know that per field i can use but the limitation of per Qty is also till 10,000 units only so if it is desimal to 4 digits then ok but for 7 to 8 decimals again not possible.
Please suggest what we can do?
Regards,
Anil Agrawal

  • Decimal Places for Pricing conditions in Purchase info record

    Hi guys:
    In the material master, Moving average price/std price  2 decimal places, purchase info records -pricing conditions we have option of 2 decimal places.
    Is there any we can increase the number of decimal places .?
    Thanks
    sweth

    Hi,
    you can either have high prices or high accuracy, but not both together (because field length stays fixed).
    Don't think about a modification - to much changes would be necessary. I never have seen a situation, where you needed more than about 6 significant digits (= not '0'): high prices don't have decimals.
    So you usually change a factor: Maintain prices for higher or smaller units to get into the correct range. Or you might use different currencies in different situations. You can also maintain prices per 100 or 1000 units (in case of cheap products).
    If nothing else is possible, you might use two conditions: one without decimals, second one only decimals, the sum of both can be a very precise high price.
    Better to use the option price unit if you want exact value in place.

  • Decimal places  for qualitative characterstics in inspection lot

    i have lot quantity with decimal (i.e 2.5 Ltr),and lot is generated for 01 type inspection type,But we have assigned MIC's as qualitative characterstics,While result recording the MIC's are  either accepted are rejected,for this in RRecording,I am entering the quantity 1.5Ltr Accepted and 1Ltr Rejected ,But system not allows me to enter Decimal places.
    Now My question is why system not accepted the quantity but lot Quantity is in Decimal.
    I know for qualitative character is attribute,it cannot accept the Decimal places,But we have assinged an inspection point to generate a rejection leter for above quanity. The Rej Letter fetches the data from resul recording.
    can give any suggestion to enter decimal places in Resul recording.

    Now My question is why system not accepted the quantity but lot Quantity is in Decimal.
    In simple words Lot Qty is derived in inspection lot from the PO or GR qty whereas  sample Qty or individual sample Qty is derived from the sampling procedure attached to a individual char.
    Now As you rightly understood that for attribute char you really can not enter the decimal.what can be done is as you wrote >"the Rej Letter fetches the data from result recording">you can make the enhancement in the Letter fetching data like  1.5Ltr Accepted and 1Ltr Rejected
    or
    make enhancement & update table with  User Exit :---->QEEM0003 User exit: add. functions after valuating insp. characs
    I hope this may throw some light

  • Oracle DBConnect fetches less records when increasing decimal places

    Hi All,
    In our project we are extracting data from Oracle table into BW using DBConnect. One of the fields is an amount field which is stored as a DEC datatype in Oracle. When we try to bring in the value as it is by increasing the decimal places in the datasource "Proposal" tab, we see that the number of records transferred gets reduced. If we specify the decimal place as 2 or 3, we get all the records, but if we specify 4 or more, the records get reduced. Any idea what could be the problem? We are in BI 7.0 SP 13.
    Thanks
    Sundar

    Hi Kishore,
    Thank you for quick reply.
    Yes, I've already played around with different call interface types - no result.
    It is funny, but in View Data I see the column values are shown as integers! Of course, datatype is set to DOUBLE in OBIEE.
    May be it has something to do with the fact underlying db object is not a table, but a view? In the db view datatype is shown as NUMBER.
    I also noticed the same issue with other physical tables which are defined as opaque views (Select). If I change type to Physical Table and underlying db object is a table indeed, values are displayed as decimals, but no issues with extra digits. Still I have the issues with queries over this physical table.

    The dec0imal places relating FI only.  The FI people has to configure to require decimal places.  you can try with the following settings in FI.
    1.in OY04 maintain Currency and No.of decimal places required for all purposed.
    2.in OB90 maintain company code, currency and maintain rounding unit.

  • To Include Decimal places for set of Records

    Hello,
    I have an OBIEE Report with four Unions where the first union has the count and other have Sum as aggregation for the 3 measure columns. If iam using combine similar request and if I apply column formatting it applies to all the unions, but my requirement is to show first bucket (top union which are counts) as 0 decimal places integer and other union values as currency with 2 decimal values. Something like below
    Col1 Measure1 Measure 2
    A 100 200 ---> Values from First Union
    B $ 2.35 $ 3.45 ----> Values from Second Union
    C $ 1.25 $ 1.00 -----> Values from Third Union
    D $3.67 $5.67 ------> Values from Fourth union
    I tried to add round(column,0) to values in my first union but it does not work. Could you please help me on this, hope iam clear.

    You can't...This can throw errors like incapatible data types and all..
    As a business analyst, I'd suggest business to go for: i.e using signs in row values only
    Col1 Measure1 Measure 2
    A(FTE) 100 200 ---> Values from First Union
    B($) 2.35 3.45 ----> Values from Second Union
    C($) 1.25 1.00 -----> Values from Third Union
    D($) 3.67 5.67 ------> Values from Fourth union
    Hope its clear

  • Query regarding decimal places for currencies

    Dear all,
    SAP standard allows 2 decimal points as default for any condition value. However, based on the entries in TCURX table we can set number of decimal places with reference to specific currencies.
    In our system there is no entry in TCURX table against USD currency. Still the system is taking 3 decimal places against the expected 2 decimal places.
    Is there somewhere hardcoded this for US or are they any additional settings impacting this? Please help
    Regards,
    Rajesh

    Hi All,
    I have been trying to set 3 decimal places. I got the reference to Note # 38881.
    This is what I did:
    1. Create a new currency US$ and set the decimal places to 3
    2. Maintained the prices using VK11.
    3. Changed the customers' sales area currency to US$
    But when I created the sales order although the system determined the prices in 3 decimals i got the following information message which keeps on showing during the entire sales order creation:
    Pricing error: Mandatory condition ZMAC is missing
    Message no. V1801
    Details are as below:
    The obligatory condition ZMAC does not exist. The document is therefore considered to be incomplete from the point of view of pricing.
    The cause can be, for example, that a condition record does not exist for condition ZMAC or that a field overflow has occurred when the condition rate was calculated.
    Procedure
    Check why the condition could not be found. Use the pricing analysis function on the pricing screen to do this. If necessary, add the missing condition manually to the document.
    I believe I am missing some configuration that should be done in pricing, not sure what. As this question has been flagged answered, hope someone would be able to help me.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Rajesh Singh

  • Currency Decimal Places setting restore

    Hi Experts ,
    Unfortunately we have changes the setting for currency decimal places in SPRO ==> SAP NETWEAVER ==>GENERAL SETTINGS ==>CURRENCIES ==>SET DECIMAL PLACES FOR CURRENCIES.
    for Currency INR from default 3 decimal places to '4' decimal places, due to this the amounts entered in MM inforecords were changed e.g. the amount which was entered as 15.20 inr changed to 1520.00 inr, After getting reply from Fourm and the senior consultants we have deleted the INR currency from the about setting i.e.from table 'TCURX' after doing this the amounts get corrected i.e. from 1520.00 INR to 15.20 INR.
    But again the same (adverse) change is being seen in amounts for MM Inforecords and SD Condition Records
    If we enter a new record it shows the correct amount.
    How can i correct the previous amounts. It has happen suddenly and what guarantees that this should not happen again.
    Please give me the solution as early as possible. We have to Go-Live in next 2 days..
    Thanks in advance
