    Now , am not a very good Java DEv. and i need to find a soln. to this prob within 1 week.
    The next step is to write the data to the DB.
    Am sending an example of my file:

    Cal u tellme what to do!
    Even better- do u have a piece of code that will help me understand and implement the database writing portion?
    I badly need help here.

  • Can't use certain characters in java programs.

    For some reason I cannot use characters like: " ^ ~ | " in java programs.
    I can type them in a terminal and then paste them into the program, but cannot type them inside the java program - It's has been like that in every java application I have used. It only works when typing them in a applet running on a browser.
    Im running Linux RH 7.2 with JDK1.4.0 (It works fine in windows 2000)
    Hope somebody can help me.
    /Tommy

    Ehmm. What makes you believe that it isnt?
    I can't make exclusiveOr operations and if(bubba || bubba2) something....And that is a problem / annoyance.
    I can type every other characters but those works fine as well.

  • Encrypt and Decrypt files using PGP and GPG

    Dear members, We have a customer that need to process files received through sFTP, FTPs and FTP over SSL encrypted with PGP and GPG methods.
    We Know that those encryption Method are not supported out of the box in Oracle SOA Suite and WCC but We need to Know if some of you have some workaround about that, maybe using a valve in FTP adapter, B2B or any other method in WCC.
    Thanks in advance

  • Creating XML file in Project folder thru Java Program

    hi,
    i need one help. i need to create XML file in web://<Project Folder> in xmII thru Java Program. i created one java code and i am able to access XML file that is in c drive. i created jar file for this and placed as action block in Transaction and this working fine. but problem arises when i give file path in java code as web://<folder name>/file.xml which is in Web folder of project in xMII.
    How to access the file that is inside web folder from java code.
    regards
    senthil

    Hi Senthil,
    you can address the files that inside the MII workbench are viewed as "web://..." like this:
    http://<server>:<port>/XMII/CM/<Project>/<Folder>/<Filename>
    The workbench helps you find the correct filename:
    - open the WEB tab in the workbench
    - right-click on the filename
    - select "Copy Link" from the pop up
    Now you have the correct link in your clipboard.You can use the "web://" only inside MII.

    i got the sample code for the same from the site : - http://www.javaworld.com/javaworld/javatips/jw-javatip23.html
    But when i type this command " C:\javah -stubs Happy " following error occurs
    " Error: JNI does not require stubs, please refer to the JNI documentation. "
    then typed " c:\javah -jni Happy" without any error .
    After that i wrote a HappyImpl.c as mentioned in the above tutorial
    #include <StubPreamble.h> /* Standard native method stuff. */
    #include "Happy.h" /* Generated earlier. */
    #include &ltstdio.h> /* Standard C IO stuff. */
    void Happy_printText (struct HHappy *this)
    puts ("Happy New Year!!!");
    then it is not compling and error is
    "unable to open included file StubPreamble.h file
    unable to open included file Happy.h file "
    Please help me . i want to use native method , i did exactly the same in tutorial at above link.
    Thanks & Regards

    you do need to know how to use your C compiler... It quite clearly can't find those files which indicates that you didn't tell it where to find them.

  • Sending a pdf file using submit without client email program.

    I need a solution on sending a completed pdf file to my email address without the clients email program poping up.  My website has a small pdf file that users can complete and return to me.  I get many complaints from users stating it requires them to save the file first and then they are unsure were it saved or how to attach it to a email.  To make this easer on my users I want the submit button to simply send me the file using some method from my website.  I use iPage to host the site now.  I was looking for a script to call or some way to do this automaticly.  I was woundering if urs/sbin/sendmail might work.  I am simply at a loss on this.

    Using a sendmail type script will send you the form data in the body of an email message, if the form is set up to submit as "HTML". You can create your own script to attach the form data as an FDF, XFDF, or even the complete PDF, but it's unlikely your provider supplies a script for this, so you'd have some custom programming to do.
    Sending just the form data also avoids the licensing restrictions for Reader-enabled forms. You can easily import an FDF or XFDF into a blank form to create a filled-in form.

  • How to read files on server from a java program?

    Hello,
    I am fairly new to JSP programming. I have an issue with reading files. I am trying to call method of a normal java file from a jsp program. The method I am trying to call does some IO operation on Files. I have the files in the same directory as my class files on server that is in WEB-INF/classes folder. In my java program, I am giving just the file name to open because the files and the classes are in the same directory. But this is not working.
    What exactly should I do to read a file from a java program, that is running on the server?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Krishna

    String realFilePath = application.getRealPath("/WEB-INF/myFile.txt");
    File fileToOpen = new File(realFilePath);
    out.println(fileToOpen.getAbsolutePath() + ": exists? " + fileToOpen.exists());in this case "application" is a reference to the ServletContext.
    It is an implicit variable in a JSP. In a servlet:
    ServletContext application = getServletConfig().getServletContext();

  • Displaying japanese chars using servlet (posted in Java programming too)

    html form and I am using servlet...
    After reading the input and when i try to display i get ????
    how can i solve this.
    It was originally posted in Java Programming forum. but i think the question suits here....heres the link for original post
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=670419&tstart=0
    sorry for posts at two different forums

    After reading the input and when i try to displayDisplay on what?
    Usually, if request.getCharacterEncoding() doesn't return viable result, then you should call
    request.setCharacterEncoding() with a proper value. If user send Shift_JIS string as form
    input, then the argument value should be also "Shift_JIS". When in doubt, use "UTF-8".
    Then, you call response.setContentType("text/html; charset="Shift_JIS"), etc.

  • Extracting into Flat Files Using OCI or Pro*C Programs

    Data Extraction into Flat Files from a database Using OCI or Pro*C Programs - please provide me a sample code. It is urgent. Thank you in advance.

    This problem is very simple to solve. Simply use Pro*C, issue an SQL select into a host variable, then use unix "printf" to output the result. An alternative is to use the provided sqlplus utility to grab the data in a script, disabling headers, etc.
    Sadly, this area is a huge, basic hole in the Oracle product offering. While they have an import utility, there is no export utility, except for one that makes binary files not usable outside Oracle. Every other RDBMS I've seen has this. In Informix, you can say something like "export to <filename> select * from <table>", but that syntax is not offered by Oracle Corporation.

  • Use of netweaver in java programming

    Hi!
       I want to know the use of netweaver in java application as compare to other IDE's.
                        Thnk u

    Hi!
    I guess you mean the NetWeaver Developer Studio (NWDS) - which is the IDE - and not the NetWeaver Platform. The NWDS gives you access to the Java Development Infrastructure allowing to manage the lifecycle & delivery of applications, supports SAP specific project types like Web Dynpro, Portal Development, Mobile Applications, Dictionary aso.
    Like other IDEs it offers support development and deployment of J2EE-applications (EJB, Web), but only works with SAPs J2EE-engine.
    To be honest I don' t think there' s a reasonable comparison to other IDEs possible. You get more information from the development manual on help.sap.com.

  • How to read a file content in a ordinary java program

    Please help me is there is any method is available to read the content of the file.I am asking in pure java not in the servlets.Guys please help me.I got structed here

    Reading a text file in the systems character encoding: use the class java.io.FileReader. You can wrap a BufferedReader around it to get better performance (and a simple way to read lines)
    Reading a text file in another character encoding: use FileInputStream and convert it to a reader with:
    InputStreamReader reader = new InputStreamReader(fileStream, encoding);
    where encoding is the character encoding as a String (like "Cp850" or "UTF-16LE"). Again, you can wrap a BufferedReader around that reader.
    Reading a binary file: open a FileInputStream to the file and just read the bytes from it. You can use BufferedInputStream for better performance and DataInputStream to get a simple way to read primitive types like double and char.
