Default Formatting in Analyzer set to all users

Hi, in Java Web Analyzer 7.0.1.8 I would like to set Tools | User Preferences | Default Formatting | Replace Missing With | Zeros to all 100 Analyzer users that are in our company. 1. Is there any way to do this automaticaly for all users with one settings? 2. Is there any way to set this setting as default? So if new Analyzer user is created to get this new value automaticaly. You can do some formatting at the Database/Connection level too. Using the Administration Tools, select the database, and for each dimension you can apply some formatting. Obviously, if you have a lot of cubes with many dimensions this may take as long as changing it for the users.

I want to understand if we change User logon Name to Employee Number format in Active Directory for all User accounts, then what would be the impact on existing profile. Whether we need to change it manualy or it will connect to same profiles in terminal

What if we change the user name of user account, will it have impact on roaming profiles.
Yes, it will affect roaming profiles. Please rename the roaming profile folder as the new user account name, in addition, change the profile path in ADUC.

Default Color, Size and Font for all user.

I have been looking around for the correct way to set some default styles for all Word users in a domain thrugh GPO. I just have some questions.
So far i can only get it working if it set a "Workgroup templates path" under "User Configuration/Administrative Templates/Microsoft Office 2013/Shared paths". Then the users are able to select it when they say "New" - "Shared"
and then the template
But i would like it to be default for all users, like in the Normal.dotm. But without making a script to replace the file for every users APPDATA.
Then i saw the "User Configuration/Administrative Templates/Microsoft Office 2013/Shared paths/Enterprise templates path", how and what does that do?

use GPP file extension to
distribute Normal.dotm to the path "C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates." for every user. For more detailed steps, please refer to the following link:

Saving graphic setting to all users

I am using APO 7.0 and the "chart engine" for graphics. I want to save my graph user setting at the planning book level so that all users see the same default settings. I see oss note 980904 that talks about this happening by mistake on a planning book copy. But I want to do it in the planning book design. I see the table /SAPAPO/PBDVWHDR, and the field GRAPHIC_ID. The note says clearing this filed will return the graph back to a defulat. Is there anyway to populate that field?

Hi George,
Global Graphic Settings are not available from release of SCM 5.1 and higher with the new Chart Engine.
You can switch back to the OLD chart engine, by setting the User Parameter
/sapapo/sdp_chart_v = CHART.
It should give you the functionality you want.

Changing Default Portlets on My Pages for All Users

Hello,
I want to add the Collaboration My Projects Portlet on the default My Pages that comes out of box during a portal install.
I did trying going to Default Profiles - Edit Profile Layout - went to the My Pages as the default profile and added My Projects.
Then finished up.
However, when logging in as a user (via Active Directory which was previously synced) - nothing had changes.
Suggestions how to add My Projects on a My Page for all users?

VRandom thought, but you might want to try changing the "Mandatory Portlet Priority". I know the portlet isn't mandatory, so it SHOULDN"T work, but I've seen whackier things:)

Setting Default Global Settings for Bex Analyzer 7 for all users

We need to set default settings for Bex Analyzer Global Settings when we install SAP-GUI 7.2 in our user's workstations. The current default settings are that all of them are turned off. We would rather not have to run around and change each of our 1,000 user's settings.

Small correction to the information in the OSS note 1254112.
for setting the legacy version setting use the below string in the registry
"LAUNCH_VERSION" = "LEGACY" insted of "LaunchLegacyVersion"

Is there a way to re-set the default fade-in/out setting for all slides?

Hi all, I don't know why all objects on all the slides of my captivate project are set as transition-> fade in/fade out. The result is that every single slide fades out after 3 seconds, even before the learners can finish reading.
The only solution I know is to change each single object from transition->fade in/fade out to No Transitions. However, it takes thousands of clicks.
Does anyone know that there is a one-step solution to get rid of this default fade in/fade out settings?
Or was there something that I did wrong which caused this default fade in/fade out?

Hi all, not only are my objects set to no transition, I set the object defaults to rest of slide rather than specific time (located in the same window above. That way slide duration does not matter (unless you are doing autoplay and not using navigation.) This way when my audio lengthens the timeline all my objects are there for the full duration
Also, another tip, once you have set your objects styles and preferences the way you like them you can export both, and import them into any new project that you wish to use them in rather than reset all the time.

Advanced setting for all users in a Citrix environment

I would like to disable the Advanced option "Allow editing directly in cells" for Excel 2010. It is used in a Xenapp (Citrix ) environment using upm or roaming profiles. How can i avoid having each user make this setting wich is then
saved to his profile?
is there a registry change that will set it as the default when anyone launches excel?

Please try to use disabe the "Allow editing directly in cells" in GPO.
Press win+Run> gpedit.msc>Adminstrative Templates>Microsoft Excel 2010>Excel options>Advanced>Edit directly in cells>disable
Then we could update the GPO.

If am understood, I hope you are expect the authorization copy.
Procedure
       1.      In the Administration --> System Initialization --> Authorizations window, choose the name of the user whose authorizations are to be copied. Hold the mouse button until a rectangle appears around the user name.
       2.      Drag the rectangle to the name of the user to whom to grant the authorizations.
       3.      Release the mouse button.
       4.      A system message prompts for confirmation of the copy operation.
       5.      Choose OK to confirm the operation. The authorizations are copied completely to the second user.

Setting automatic update settings for all users

Hello all,
I'm trying to roll out Quicktime 7.6 to our corporate desktops with the automatic update feature within Quicktime disabled. In past installs we were able to make the setting change and then copy the quicktime.qtp file to the "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Apple Computer\quicktime" directory on all the computers and all would be good. However with 7.6 is appears this file is now housed under the individual user's profile. Is there a way to make this a global setting for all users logging in to a pc?

We have a similar problem in a High School, using Windows XP Pro, QT 7.x and Active Directory. While going to a Spanish Exam web page that uses QT, the students get locked into an auto update process. As restricted users, they can neither abort or accept the update, and are unable to complete the exam. We have found that unchecking the preference for auto update as an admin user does not uncheck it for anyone else. Under C:\Documents and Settings, there is no folder for Apple Software except for myself, once I have opened the QT preferences. I assume that Apple has hidden the location of the default preference to force updating, without regard to how that would work in a locked-down environment. It sure creates havoc when 30 students sit down for a timed and graded online exam!! Any answers out there?

Screen Capture default format in Tiger OS

Dear Mac OS Fellows:
In Tiger OS, the default file format for screen capture is "PNG." I want to change it to "PDF"!
I found the command tips, never worked for me, on the net=>
defaults write com.apple.screencapture type pdf

I tried those 2 commands. The default format is stil set to "PNG."

export, is that I want to preserve the "vector"
attribute of the type.
To no avail! After saving capture as a PDF, I zoom in
400% to check on the edge of the type. Disappointing
enough! All become pixelated!
Hmm. This may not be possible. The way I understand it, the screen is a bitmap, rendered by the OS. So, yes you can get a PDF of the screen, but it's just a bitmap in a PDF. That would be the same for any kind of application's windows where the text was drawn on screen, like a dialog box.
The only standard tool I know of is the "Web Capture"
in Acrobat Pro. v.7.
Well, if you're interested in web pages, you can always just use "Print," but instead of printing, save your web page to a PDF from the print dialog. But, since you're "printing," you may find the printout isn't exactly like the web page. Especially if they use a different style sheet for print media.
You can use this same trick with other applications, too, as long as they can print (and as long as they don't "rasterize," i.e., make bitmaps of, the type in their documents before they send them to the printer).
I've never heard of a tool that could do what you want with any window. I think one would have to intercept the commands going to the graphics system before they actually get rendered for the screen, and I'm not sure that's possible.

Deploy Color Settings to All Users

I've seen this hinted at elsewhere, but no clear answer. We want all of our users to utilize North America Prepress 2 color settings. As is, I have to remember to adjust this setting in Bridge after each user logs into their workstation for the first time. Is there a file containing this setting that I can copy to all users profiles, or another way to deploy this setting to all users on a workstation? Ideally, I would ultimately silently deploy this change to all workstations in the domain. Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, it's impossible for all users.
In Windows 7, you can unlock removable data drives by using a password or a smart card. After you've started encryption, the drive can also be automatically unlocked on a specific computer for a specific user account.
However, the prerequisite is that user must have recovery key.

Install security updates for all users

I am using the a form with digital signatures fields, and when a user logs onto a pc and opens the form Adobe asks if you would like to install new security settings. I tell my user to click yes, but there are multiple users on multiple PCs that will be using this form. Is there a way to install this same setting for all users? I am using Adobe reader 9.3, and the form was deisgned with Designer. Any help would be very appreciated.

I extracted the contents of the .xpi file into the browsers\extensions folder using the extension ID, yet that doesn't seem to have done anything. I'm pretty sure higher access superceedes, so you could set up a group with no actual access, just to get the preferences working, then their individual security will dictate what they can do. I haven't tested this fully, but I beleive this is how it will work. As far as setting the preferences, go into the admin console and right click on the group, then select Preferences. To apply the group preferences to a user, add the user to the group, then right click on the user, select preferences and from the upper left corner, use the drop down to select the active preference, in this case, it will be the group you created and added them to. HTH
