Default Framework page Isolation method changed

We changed the Isolation method to URL instead of embedded on all of the iviews in the Default Framework page.
Now we cannot view the Portal Content Directory.  Is there any method to fix this by going to a URL.
We tried - http://myServer:50000/irj/portal?NavigationTarget=ROLES://portal_content/administrator/content_admin/worksets/com.sap.portal.content_admin_ws/com.sap.portal.content_admin_wsExplorer and it did not work.
Thanks in advance,
D. Maupin

Hi,
You can resolve by using the steps below:
1. Create a transport package for the Default framework page  in a system where the properties are correct . Export the epa file and save locally
2. Login to the Portal where the properties have been messed up.
3. On the same Browser window change the URL to
http://<server>:<port>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.pcd.admintools.import.default
This should open the Import Transport application
4. Import the local transport .
5. Logout and login again to the portal.
Thanks

  • Development problem  about layout of default framework page

    Hello experts,
    I want to do some development for layout of default framework page.
    The layout of default framework page named "framework page layout".
    But I can't find the JSP file of "framework page layout".
    I download and unzip the "com.sap.portal.layouts.default.par.bak" and "com.sap.portal.layouts.framework.par.bak", but both of them not contain the JSP file of "framework page layout".
    Could you please tell me where to get the par or  JSP file of "framework page layout"?
    Best Rrgards,
    Jianguo Chen

    Hi Johan,
    You are right !
    Do you have modified the framework.jsp ? e.g:  set the width to 800 .
    <lyt:template>
    <%
    pageRunMode = epPageVariables.getRunMode();
    if(pageRunMode == RunMode.RUN_TIME){
    %>
        <script>
            document.body.style.margin=0;
            document.body.scroll = "no";
        </script>
    <%}%>
        <hbj:content id="myContext" >
            <hbj:page title="Portal Page">
            <hbj:gridLayout   id="GridLayout1"  width="800" cellSpacing="0">
                <lyt:container id="frameworkColumn" />
            </hbj:gridLayout>
            </hbj:page>
        </hbj:content>
    </lyt:template>
    Is this code right to change the with of frameworkpage to 800 pixels ?

    Damodhar.

    Hi Damodhar,
    The Tool area iview has to be there in Default Frame work page. But if some how u lost that then one thing i can advice there is a par file in the server com.sap.portal.navigation.toolarea.par.bak,Go System Administration>> Support>>Portal Runtime>>Browse Deployment>>WEB-iNF>> Deployment>> pcd, import that into ur NWDS and delpoy it to the server. Make an iview based on it and put that iview in the frame work page in its postion.

  • Modify the default framework page

    Hi all,
    I need to create a new portal framework page. This needs to differ from the Default framework page only in the KM navigation links. I have a different KM folder to point to in the new framework page.
    I tried creating a separate page with my KM navigation iview and adding it to the desktop inner page. But this didnt help, because i now have the new KM links, that I added to the navigation panel of the desktop inner page + the old links in the content area( that is what I think) .Anyway both the KM links are now visible side-by-side.
    Can someone tell me how to modify only the KM navigation links in the default framework page?
    -Ashwini.

    Hi Ashwini,
    So as per your reply I guess you already have an iView ready which you want to place on the navigation panel.
    Ok, it goes like this:
    1. Copy the Default Framework Page from Portal Users -> Standard Portal Users into your own development folder.
    2. Open the copied page for editing. Select Desktop Inner Page. And click on Open. In the Page Content you'll find an iView for Dynamic Navigation. Uncheck the visible check box next to it.
    3. Add your own developed iView to this Page. You can do this by right-clicking on your iview and then say "Add iview to Page Delta Link". Make this newly added iView Visible and fixed.
    4. To make sure it appears correctly, click on the Page Layout radio button and see that the iviews are arranged correctly. If required you can drag and place them wherever you wish.
    5. Now, you need to make a desktop which consists of a Framework + theme. To do this go to System Admin -> Portal Display.
    While your desktop is in edit mode. Right Click on your framework which you edited and Say "Add framework to Desktop". Down below you will find a themes folder. Add any theme in the same fashion to your desktop.
    Next go to Portal Administrators -> Super Administrators -> Master Rule collection.
    Here you have to put you rule. Its self explanotory.
    But make sure you do this correctly.
    That does it.
    Please let me know if I answered your question.

    From the Safari menu bar, select

    Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.

  • Creation of Framework Page

    hi
    can anyone help me with creation of framework page
    useful answers will be rewarded
    Regards
    JM

    Hi,
    A portal desktop comprises a framework page and a theme:
    Framework page:
          A framework page is a portal page defining the layout of navigational and structural elements in the portal  desktop. A typical framework page includes a header area,navigation area, and a work area
    Theme:
           A portal theme defines the overall look-and-feel of user  interface elements in a portal desktop, such as aspect of font usage, UI control elements, color, and contrast.
    A portal desktop may support more than portal theme.
    Users can personalize their portal desktop at runtime to suit  their choice of style and taste.
    portal themes
    A portal theme defines the visual appearance of the control elements, font size, colors and contrast of the user interface elements of a portal desktop. A portal theme does not define the layout, structure or contents of a portal desktop. This is defined by the default framework page.
    All the themes in the portal are located under:
    System administration: Portal Content->Themes
    how to create a portal theme?
    Navigate to System Administration &#61614; Portal Display &#61614; Theme Editor.
    Choose one of the Themes that you want it’s style to be your basic.
    Make the necessary changes.
    Apply “SAVE AS” in order to create a new Theme.
    You can’t change the default themes that are provided by SAP.
    How to Create Portal Desktop?
    1.Navigate into:
         System Administration &#61614; Portal Display &#61614; Desktops & Display Rules .
    2.Right Click &#61614; new Portal Desktop.
    3.Type name + Id.
    4. Right click on  the Framework page which you want to add the desktop &#61614; choose “Add framework page to portal Desktop”.
    5. Right click on  the Theme which you want to add the desktop &#61614; choose “Add theme to portal Desktop”.
    6.Repeat steps 4,5 for all the necessary Pages and Themes.
    7.Define one framework page and one theme as Default.
    8.Apply Save.
    Create a Portal Desktop which contains the following:
        Framework page
        The Theme object
    steps
    1) First step is to copy the default framework page (do not change the Out-of-the box Default Framework Page as other elements may depend on this one).The Default Framework Page located under Portal Users > Standard Portal Users.
    2)Next ->paste into new folder
    3) You need to change the page name by:
          a)  Open the page for editing: Make Right click on the page -> open (under the content administration).
          b)On the left side in the property editor, scroll to “Page Name” in the Property List and change it.
          c) Click Save (don’t close the editor yet). New name will automatically appear in the Portal Content Browser.
    4) Create the desktop by:
    a) Navigate into:System Administration->Portal Display->Desktops & Display Rules .
    b) Select your folder.
    c) Right Click-> new Portal Desktop.
    4) Type name + Id.
    5) Right click on  the Framework page which you copied in the previous steps -> choose “Add framework page to portal Desktop”.
    6) Right click on  the Theme which you created in practice 1-> choose “Add theme to portal Desktop”.
    7) Repeat step ‘f’ for all the necessary Themes.
    8) Define the framework page as Default by select it and click on the “Set Default” button.
    9) Define the theme you created as Default by select it and click on the “Set Default” button..
    10) Apply Save.
    now you need to create rule collection
    Rules collection
    Portal object which contains set of conditions that are defined by a portal administrator. These conditions determine which portal desktops are assigned to end users at runtime.
    You can Assign Desktop according to:
    Users name
    Groups
    Roles
    Browser Type
    Browser version
    Bandwidth
    Alias
    The rule that is listed first will be applied first if multiple conditions apply to a logged in user. (Note: When assignment to a new rule has been made to a user who has previously logged in, the theme may not immediately be seen).
    You can also create delegate structure by assign Rule  Collection  from a rule collection.
    How to Create a Rule Collection?
    1) Navigate into:System Administration ->Portal Display->Desktops & Display Rules.
    2) In the ‘portal content’ make Right Click ->new Rule Collection.
    3) Type name + Id.
    4)Click on the “Add If Expression” button.
    5) Select the required criteria (User, Group, Role, Browser Type, Browser version, Bandwidth, Alias).
    6)Fill the match value for the criteria.For role object you must type the full id of the object (e.g: “pcd:portal_content/Sharon/Roles/Content_role”–you can get it by locate the cursor on the field area and than make right click on the role object and choose the “Add Role…” command)
    7) Select the “THEN” statement.
    8) Locate the cursor in the desktop name field.
    9) Make right click on the desktop which you want to assign the user and choose the “Add Desktop…” command.
    10)Repeat steps 4-10 in case that you want to define more rules.
    then you need to create main rules.
    Master Rules collection (main_rules)– initial portal Rule Set located in the portal Catalog.
    When a user connects to the portal, the first Rule object that is read by the run-time service is the main_rules. According to the conditions in this object the user gets a Desktop or is being redirected to another Rule collection which determines which desktop will be assigned to him.
    The main_rules object is located in:System Administration ->Portal Display-> Desktops & Display Rules :
    Portal content ->super administrator ->super administration ->  main_rules

    i am working with EP7.in this i encountered a problem when i tried to change the layout of the default framework page.
    i created a new layout in NWDS and uploaded it to portal.then i copied the default framework page to separate folder (my personal) and assigned the newly created layout and set that page as my default framework page.
    but whenever i log into the portal or refreshes the page the top level navigation iview merges (overlaps) with the masthead iview and comes back to the assigned position after some time.i tried many ways to solve this problem but i couldnt.
    if anybody have any idea about it please share.....

  • How to edit Framework Page

    Hello!
    I have some question:
    I copy Default Framework page, but I don't understand how to edit it content?
    When right-click on my framework, only "Open->Delta Link Tracer" and "Change ID" opens..

    Hi Paul,
    I assume that you tried to edit your copied frameworkpage in the "Portal Display". There you can't edit it.
    You have to go to the pcd (Content Administration -> Portal Content) and can then edit your copied frameworkpage (because it is principally also just a page, like other pages in the pcd).
    Hope it helps.

  • Default framework properties ( urgent )

    Hi,
    Unknowling i have turned off the visibility of 'com.sap.portal.innerpage'-(desktop innerpage) Iview in Default framework page.
    After that i am not able to see anything even if logged in as a super admin ?
    How to turn the visibility again ?
    Pts assured.
    RGds,
    J

    Hi,
    You can run the PCD inspector and change an attribute there.
    Run the inspector by entering the URL http://<server>:<port>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.portal.pcd.admintools.pcd_inspector!2fpcd_inspector
    You will have to log in and accept the terms of the PCD inspector.
    Navigate to the framework page, and then to the innerpage.
    Change the innerpages attribute called com.sap.portal.iview.Availability and change it to MANDATORY.
    I think this would be the easiest.
    Hope this helps.

  • WPC Runtime Error in Customer Framework Page

    Hi again,
    after successful proof of concept of WPC we have integrated some WPC Pages and iViews in our standard roles. Pages are displayed well with default framework page.
    But using customer specific framework (via portal url alias /portal/mySite and corresponding display rules) we get an error displaying wpc content in runtime:
    Cannot render container : com.sap.engine.lib.xml.util.NestedException:
    Could not load class: com.sap.nw.wpc.km.service. editor.xslt.XsltHelper
    RuntimeStandard required for extension library. -> java.lang.ClassNotFoundException:
    com.sap.nw.wpc.km.service. editor.xslt.XsltHelperRuntimeStandard Found in negative cache
    I have checked SAP Note 1133788 (Com.sap.engine.lib.xml.util.NestedException in WPC) which seems to be related, but adjusting of XSLT Helpers for Editor setting does not fix the problem.
    I mentioned that settings for standardruntime entry (com.sap.nw.wpc.km.service.editor.xslt.XsltHelperRuntimeStandard) should match to customer Alias insted of default portal, but changing these setting won't have any visible result.
    If I use default framework page with customer layout wpc runtime will work - so we have a temporary solution, but we want to avoid changing default framework page.
    Any hints or documentation?
    Many thanks in advance

    Hi Thorsten,
    maybe you should have a look at this [one.|https://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=599765&tstart=0]
    I think it's the same thing that was mentioned in the SAP Note you provided. But maybe you extract some additional hints for yourself out of the posts.
    Let me know, if you manage to solve the problem.

  • Modifying the framework page width.

    Dear All,
    I want to customize the default framework page.
    I am on EP 7.0 SPS16
    What i want to do is to reduce the width of the framework page .
    I succeeded in doing this for normal framework page.
    I did this by modifiying the framework.par file in that we have a file called framework.jsp.
    But my final goal is to implement this layout for EFP.
    For this I modified the light_framework.jsp.
    The issue coming up is that when i create a layout from this jsp i can see the width changed.
    But if I try to preview, the layout doesn't reflect.
    Does anyone know how to modify light_framework.jsp or if there is some restriction to this.
    I can post the code which i used to modify the jsp page if anyone requires.
    Regards,
    Nikhil Pai

    Hello Sunil,
    Thanks for the reply, but this is not the issue i am facing.
    I am  in a step which is earlier than the answer u gave.
    After creating the layout when i am previewing it the changes are not taking place.
