Default macro is not saving values

We created a macro for a calculation and its updating a KF, the macro is kept in default mode. But when we check the updated KF in a different view, the values are not showing. Though we saved in initial step, the values are not reflecting in different view. The macro is just addition of 2 KFu2019s. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Jeff,
If the values are not saved in liveCache then thevalues of keyfigure in different data view will not get updated. But after running the macro, once you click on save in //sdp94 values should get updated in livecache. I kindly request you to do the following.
Execute the macro, save the value by clicking on Save button.
To confirm whether values are updated or not, what you can do is remove the macro from the default event, then load the selection.
Check if the keyfigure has value after you have saved.
If the keyfigure value is updated in this planning book, then value should get updated in different data view if you are loading for the same selection.

Insert Record not saving values

Hi,
I am extremely new to Dreamweaver. I am using MX2004.
I am trying to work with a remote database that I created in
MySQL and I am using PHP.
I created a PHP page added my form, added my input fields,
and used the Insert Record wizard to get to my database on the
server. I also went to the columns section and where it says
‘Fieldname’ Does Not Get a Value. I went and chose my
value from the drop-down Value box. It now says
‘Fieldname’ Gets Value From
‘FORM.Fieldname’ as ‘Text’ I have done that
for all the columns that I am asking the users to fill in including
the fields that are NOT NULL.
The problem is once I test it, it is not putting the data in
the database. When I go back and look at my columns in the Insert
Record Server Behaviors, many of my columns have reverted to
‘Fieldname’ Does Not Get a Value.
For some reason my values are not being saved.
Can someone help with this?

The customization works fine when using the customize link, but when I try to customize using the edit defaults the changes that I make does not stay... (I tried changing the portlet title)
I can't find anything in the log files.
Any ideas?

What do you mean by the changes do not stay?
After you set the default settings, you customize the portlet using the Customize link. The portlet is customized for your user, but if you login as a different user, do they see the default settings?
I need to know...
1. if you customize the portlet, does it change it for everyone or just your view.
2. If you update edit defaults, does it update the portlet for users that have not customized their portlet?

Hi Siva,
You need to keep the macro under Level Change to make sure the macro executes when you drill-down. A start macro will not necessarily execute after you drill-down or drill-up. The default macro will strictly not execute immediately upon drill-down or drill-up. It will execute only when you have made some changes and hit enter post drill-down or drill-upp. This that point in time the default macro will not kick in.
Please see the standard macros defined in the SNP94(1) data view. The Stock Balance, Safetry Stock/Reorder Point, Day's Supply macros are set as default. So these will execute everytime there is a change in the data. The Determine Workdays macro is set as Start and Level Change. The result of this macro is a pre-requisite for computation of the Day's Supply macro. However the values computed by this macro will not change within a session (determined by the SD Calendar for the location) hence there is no point executing it as a default macro (reduce the system load). So its run as Start Macro. If you drill down by location then you need this macro to execute again as the SD Calendar for each different locations can result in different values. Based on that the Day's Supply Value will be recomputed. Hence its important to set it as a Level Change macro as well. On the other hand as the Total Demand, Total Receipts and Stock data changes the Day's Supply value also needs to change - hence the macro is set as Default macro.
It is important to note other Standard macros (i.e. Start and Level Change) execute before the Default Macros.

Try this ..
On your Mac open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect the box next to: Notes
Then reselect it.
Give iCloud a few minutes to re sync the data.
Other than that, try Time Machine > http://pondini.org/TM/15m.html

AET Generated field values are not saved.

Hi Gurus,
I have created two AET fields on the screen (marked below) and that should store values in table CRMD_CUSTOMER_H. When I create a new service request and enter the values and save, AET field values are not saved. Again, when I edit the same service request and enter the values and save , AET field values are saved on the database.
While debugging I found that, relationship BTHeaderCustExt does not exist for the first time and second time onward its appearing. Due to this, data is not being saved at first time (Line no 27 : current is empty).
When tried to create realtionship using create_related_entity , it throwing exception cx_crm_genil_model_error.
Please advice me the soution for the same.

there should be a context node at your view level. Please check ON NEW FOCUS method is implemented or not.

Numc characteristic values are not saving in AUSP

I am unable to save numc/Date type characteristic values in AUSP table using CL20N tcode. i am able to retrive CHAR values from AUSP table but NUMC / DATE values are not saving in this table.

If you are fetching ATINN from AUSP table, then you need to use conversion routine..
Call the FM CONVERSION_EXIT_ATINN_* & you will get the converted value.

Default Macros not disaagregating in SCM 7.0

Hi,
We have recently upgraded from SCM 5.0 to SCM 7.0.
We are facing a peculiar problem with Macros, when we load data in a SNP Planning Book, the data gets loaded successfully but when I am trying to disaggregate through Header Infromatinn Settings (Details ALL), then the Key Figure is not getting disaggregated.
When I change the Macros from a Default Macros to a Directly executable Macros and manually running it, the disaggregation is happening.
This was not happening in SCM 5.0, can someone please guide me what I missing here.
The Planning Book is an SNP planning book, and KF is a custom made Order Series KF.

Hi,
This is happening because of the DRILL_UP and DRILL_DOWN macros in the DEFAULT and LEVEL Change Events.
In SNP this macros no need to assign in the macros.
We faced the same issue after upgrade to SCM 7.0 and after removing these working fine.

Values in the form are not saving

Hi Gurus,
When I enter a value in the Planning form ( Classic Planning 9.3.1) and try to save it, it is not saving and after that save button also getting disable. It is not showing any error. What might be the reason?

Hi John,
Once I click the save button in the form, it is going to disable mode in that form only. When I open another form I able to use the save button. If I open the previous form, I am able to see the save button again. When I click the save button at that time only it is going to disable mode. This is happening for all forms.
And there is no folder like services in the given path \Hyperion\logs\services\HyS9Planning-sysout.log.
I rebooted the server, even the problem was not fixed.

Acrobat Standard Ver. 7 Not saving Default preferences.

Seeking help on why Acrobat Standard Ver. 7 Not saving Default preferences. Specifically, the zoom level. It always reverts back to something other than the 100% I set it at. The operating systerm is Windows 7, Pro if that helps.

As I recall, you are the first person who has reported even getting AA7 to work in Win7. Any operations with that combination are likely to work with luck. I assume you mean the preferences set under the edit menu. You might try changing AA7 to run in compatibility mode and see if that does the job.

Business Rule Run Time Prompts not saving last values entered

We've had an SR open with Oracle support for several months in regards to this issue and they have yet to give us any constructive feedback. I'm hoping that someone out there has run into this and maybe found a resolution to the issue. We're running EPM Planning/Calc Mgr 11.1.1.3.04.
Our Planning end users are trying to "use last entered value" to get the prompts to default to users last used values, in Calc Mgr for a variable which has limits idesc(dim) and is limited to the planning application scope. The variable has no default value set.
However when they run the rule with a given value in the prompt, when they relaunch the rule later the prompt is not defaulting back to the last used value. We tried to redeploy the rule, just to see if it makes any difference but that seems to have no effect.

Spoke to my EPM Analyst who is working this issue with support and has more functional knowledge of what is going on.
She checked the members/member selection and this did not change the results.
While working with Oracle support they did try to select "Use Members in Form" and this also did not change the results.
No matter what they select with the business rules, it is not retaining that value the next time that it is run. The BR's require that you select a value when running so there is no way to use nothing as the default. My apologies if my description was misleading.
Our analyst has been logging on and off using just her credentials and sees this behavior.
The Global Variables checkbox for save last value is selected.

Sticky notes not saved - default notes on every start

I could not save my sticky notes.
When I start the Sticky notes, two default nots appear with some description about the application.
I can delete them, add new notes, but after quit and restart the application, the two default notes appear again and the new notes are lost. It seems, that the notes are not saved.
Any idea?
Allready tried: I deleted the plist in ~/Library. --> no success/difference

I guess this has been the case for the past 4 updates of Leopard.
No solution found yet.
Are there any 'Mac Officials' listening to this?
If not, how do we notify them?

H:datatable not saving input values

I've got a page with h:datatable and some other inputs. I've few actions that reload this page. What my problem is that inputs from datatable are not saved - when the page is reloaded the fields are empty, checkboxes reset to unchecked etc. But other inputs, outside the datatable remember their values. Is there any way to make datatable inputs behave like other components?

You mean I can't put input component in there? e.g. I've got datable with rows for different languages, and in one column I have input where I put name of sth in this language. Then I press submit and it's saved into db. Works fine...

Preferences, Global Defaults not saving

I've watched a demonstration (found here: http://bit.ly/5i3lnC) of how to set the defaults (start CP4, Shift F8, set the object preferences, OK, repeat from Shift F8 etc).
I've then opened a blank project and exported my preferences (as the blog described).
I've closed that project and opened up a new project, from a template. Then I've imported the preference file.
However when I go into Shift F8 to ensure it matches the object preferences that I set up and exported, it does not.
The preferences I set up for the Mouse object has saved, but the preferences for the Highlight Box and Text box and others have not saved. I had them set up with the Effect: No Transition. Some I had set to Display for: Rest of slide.
I'd also set the Preview defaults to 3 slides and this has not saved either, or it hasn't imported.
Am I doing something wrong, or have I misunderstood what the Global Defaults were meant to do?

Hello,
You need to change the global preferences to change the default style of your captions. In order to do that you need to make sure that without open any project click on Edit Preferences>Recording>Defaults create a new style and apply it .
Click on OK to close the object style manager dialog box.
Then start your recording again and check the default captions.
