Default request notification ..

Hi All,
When a resource is provisioned through request the OIM OOTB give us facility to send notification to requester and beneficiary if the system property is enabled(Request Notification Level=1) & mail server is configured in oim. I did all the step but it is not working. I am not doing any code or change on approval workflow for sending email & i don't. want to configure it into approval workflow
Let me know if any one face same issue or that is working in your scenario. Need to know the step how you resolve it or configure it in different way.

Problem in printing Work Request Notification = IW29

Hi All,
PM module.
When i try to print notification, t-code = IW29, the ' Work Request Details' , the " Subject Long Text " is missing, instead of which i get some default data getting Populated automatically.
Please let me know if this is the printer spool data problem ?
How to check if the data is getting populated from old spool data ?

Question regarding Request Notification Template - OIM 9.1.0.2

Hi All,
I have a question regarding notification generated when a request is raised. Currently, the body of the notification is referring the requestor who raise the request (the body of email has attributes like <%Requester Info.First Name%>, <%Requester Info.Last Name%>). Its fine if the requestor is raising the request for him/her self. However, if the requestor is raising the request on behalf of another user, then this notification is causing confusions, since its referring the requestor only in its body and not the beneficiary.
Is there a way to include the end beneficiary's details in the body of the notification?
Please help in this regard

Default request encoding in tomcat 4.0.6 (urgent)

Hi all,
I developed a web application which supports japanese characters. The configuration is apache, tomcat 3.3.1, mysql.In this configuration the application works fine.
I tranferred the application to tomcat 4.0.6, now the japanese characters are displayed as ????. But the characters retrieved from the db are displaying correctly, the characters which are read from the text field are displaying like ??? (I set all the charset properly, this same code working correctly in the above configuration).
I think in tomcat 3.3.1 server.xml file has <DecodeInterceptor /> tag to decode all the request in the given encoding, I used <DecodeInterceptor defaultEncoding="Shift_JIS" /> in tomcat 3.3.1, like this is any tags availabe to configure tomcat 4.0.6 or any otherway to decode the request. Please give me your suggestions, its very urgent because I am in the deadline of this project.

You could try running the server from a Japanese or UTF-8 locale (depending on what encoding you are expecting from the client). This should change the default behaviour (when the browser doesn't explicitly say what encoding it is using).
But if the charset was set properly when the form was served, then the browsers should be sending back the same charset with its Content-type header, so Tomcat 4 should automatically use the right encoding IIRC.

OTL Error Process default error notification receiver

Hello,
Problem is like follows:
The OTL Worfklow for Employees (HXCEMP) goes in error: ORA-20001: PA_TR_NO_ROUTE_TO_PERSON: and this raises the OTL Error Process (OTL_ERROR_PROCESS) as child workflow whis sends notification to every user who has the 'Workflow Administrator Web Applications' responsibility.
This responsibility is defined as Workflow Administrator in system (WF_ADMIN_ROLE).
This is not OK that all the timecards notifications goes to users which are not related to these WFs at all.
The workflow shows as Error Recipient Role "FND_RESP|FND|FNDWF_ADMIN_WEB|STANDARD"
and FNDWF_ADMIN_WEB is the key of the responsibility mentioned before.
I looked at the workflow definition, and the Error Recipient Role attribute is empty. I tried to put SYSADMIN or any other user as default, but the WF still took the Workflow Administrator as recipient.
When putting everybody (*) Workflow Administrator, then the notifications are not sent at all, but we cannot put everyone as workflow administrator.
The same when putting SYSADMIN user as Worfklow Administrator, as then not all the users who need, cannot see the WFs.
Does any of You have idea how to change the recipient of these notifications? I could not find out why the WF is taking WFAdmin as default recipient.

Hi,
From what I can see in the image, the workflow is reporting a "No data found" error, but I can't see where.
If you look at hte actual notification (from the list of activities for the process, click on the envelope icon next to the open notification), this should tell you where the error is occuring which will help track down the root cause of the problem.
One other thing in passing - from the screenshot, it seems that your language hasn't been enabled for the Workflow install. You should be seeing (for example) "Expedite" instead of "WFMON_EXPEDITE" on the button prompts.

To Blank out system default requested delivery date when create Sales Order

Hi Experts,
I am facing a problem when create Sales Order doc copy with reference to a contract.
The create with reference screen under the Contract tab, SAP default with current date as the Requested delivery date.
Is there any way to blank out this default as I need to use the requested delivery data in the contract doc ?

Try this--
While defining the Contract sales docment type in VOV8, uncheck the proposed delivery date field in the tab Requested delivery date/ reqested pricing date/reqested prchase order date
I will not propose the system date and leaves the field blank
you can enter the required delivery date.

Default PM Notification type to PM Order type

HI All,
Please any one let me know where I need to make setting to obtain the default Notification type from PM Order creation or change mode.
I have done some analysis i.e. I am able to obtain the default Order type for Notification i.e. when I click on create Order button in Notification creation or change mode (IW21 / 22). The pop-up window appears with default PM order type. To obtain the default value , we need make settings in SPRO i.e. Maintenance and Service Processing > Maintenance and Service Notifications > Notification Creation > Notification Types > Assign Notification Types to Order Types.
I required vice verse i.e. Default Notification type from PM Order creation or change mode. To obtain this I have checked any SPRO settings to make. Example: Maintenance and Service Processing > Maintenance and Service Orders > Functions and Settings for Order Types > Define Notification and Order Integration. But here the notification is immediately created, when we save the PM order. This is happening since the automatic creation check box (3 rd column) is checked in SPRO settings i.e. Define Notification and Order Integration.
I need the system to display the pop-window with default notification type, when I clicked on create Notification button in PM order create or change mode (Iw31/32). Please let me know where I need to make settings for this?

Hi Ramu,
Goto SPRO ->Maintenance and service processing ->Maintenance and service orders ->Functions and settings for order type ->Define notification and order integration.
Goto specific order type remove the check box in the third column.
Result:When ever you create the service order, notification is not created automatically.You have to goto IW32 goto create notification click on the icon then pop-up appears for the notification.Hope this solution resolve your problem.

We would like to know, is it possible to send system generated email notifications at each step from workflow, instead of using RPTARQEMAIL program. We would like to avoid background job notifications.

In our case, we have some dynamic values also coming for this email notification. In that case, how do we bring that dynamic values for bindings. Like we have custom table from where it gets position/email id of second approver.

But if I check inside bindings there is not value (When I double click on Task TS90500083) it displays as follows:
And also for email subject and content, can we bring values through any program as it also has some dynamic values which is not part of the Bindings or Insert Expressions .. Also alignment is big issue.

Suppress default activity notifications

All - does anyone know how to suppress the default notifications for MAs and RAs? We have created workflows and mail templates on test server which we will copy across to live. however cannot stop the defulat notifications being fired to people
out of sequence (i.e. when a CR Workflow has an RA then an MA, it sends the CR and MA notification before the RA, which could cause confusion). I wish to stop the defaults going out so my own notifications can go out instead. Thanks.

I've managed to send up a WF in SCSM that does meet criteria for MA and RA status change: 'DOES NOT= In Progress' to '= In Progress'. However there are default notifications embedded in a MP that has been in SCSM for 2.5 years, before my involvement
with project. I suspect that Thomas is right and our consultant set them up without telling anyone!
As long as the MP is bespoke then I don't mind removing them.

Software enhancement request - notification shedule

I would like to request this feature if possible, the ability for notifications to be set to a timer, so example as follows:
My company and personal mail notifications could be set to my working hours, thus any emails after let's say 6pm are suppressed till say 8 am the next morning and weekends no notifications but Monday morning at 8 am you get notifications.
The same for personal mail.

Try third party apps. They have some out there that will control many aspects of your notifications.   I use one called "Profiler". By Nick Leonov   You can search for it on BlackBerry app world.   I use the time controlled settings, but they also offer goe location settings.

It would be nice to have the ability to select multiple events for a single Notification Delivery Rule when selecting Specify Event.

I have never heard of any notification being provided, so keep checking.
In the meanwhile, it would be worth checking other online music stores to see if they have it.

How to check the timeshot of iProcurement approval request notification?

The delay could be because
1) The Workflow Background process in Oracle was down or because it is scheduled to run every 1 hour or so.
2) The workflow notification process that sends the email notification out was down.
3) If the example you gave is an actual example, the difference is exactly 1 hour. That is too much of a coincidence. In that case, the email got sent out right away. It just appears to be one hour late due to timezone difference.
