Default space after calling the sub template

Hi All,
I am calling sub template in the header of rtf report. Even though there is no spaces between header and report title, when previewing it displays a gap between the output of sub template and report title. In the sub template there is no spaces. Is it by default rtf creates spaces after calling sub template in header?

Even if i use simple <?call@inlines:HeaderENF?> <?end call?> <?import:file:C:/map/Header-Landscapem1.rtf?> command in rtf header, there is still spaces between sub template values and AAA.
AAA....
The sub template has following code:
<?template:Header?>
<?param:dw_date; string?>
DW REFRESH DATE: <?$dw_date?>
<?end template?>
I am using 11.1.1.6.4.
Is it by default there will be spaces after calling the sub template?

Getting error message when calling the sub templates

Hi,
I developed an RTF template which contains a cross tab report. There is also a logo and
many other fields above and below the cross tab. If the cross tab output goes to the next page dynamically then the other fields, present above and below the cross tab, should also be displayed. So i kept the fields above the cross tab report as header and the fields below the cross tab as footer using <?start:body?> and <?end body?>. When i preview the RTF then am getting the desired output with headers and footers repeating in all the pages.
If i call this RTF from another main template(import RTF) then am getting error java.lang.NullPointerException.
If i change <?start:body?> and <?end body?> to <?body-start?> and <?body-end?> then am getting the output. But the header and footer is printed in 1st page only and not printed from 2nd page.
Can anyone please suggest how to display the headers and footers in all pages.

Thanks for ur replay. I also tried creating header and footer and called from the template(summary.RTF). If i preview the template then it is working fine. Headers and footers are displayed in all the pages. But if i call this summary.RTF from another main template then headers and footers are dispalyed in the 1st page only. I cant call the headers and footers from the main template since the main template calls many other templates apart from Summary.RTF. This headers and footers should be displayed only for Summary.RTF

And as I said in your other post it is far more efficient to count records by just returning a count rather than a complete collection regardless of how you get to the end.

How to call a Sub template in BI Publisher for the same Loop

I'm trying to achieve a multi template invoice customer facing Report output by using sub templates in BI publisher. I've stored the Template2.rtf file in Local machine temp directory and calling it in the main RTF. My Scenario is as described below:

<? For-each@section: HEADERS?>
****Contents of header data and it's line***
<?start@last-page:body?><?end body?>
***last page sub totals****
**in next page i'm calling another .rtf file which is the second This template should repeat for each header transaction**

While trying to preview the output from Bi publisher Template, either it goes to infinite loop or it hangs up with error.
Am i getting it wrong? for the Template2.rtf which i'm calling has contents <?template: template2?> <? For-each: cust_headers?> ** logic** <?end-for-each?> <?end template?>
So for a given transaction i need to print two templates. All the data will be under <header> group. Please help me out if i'm missing something in the above.

Do you get a "Template invoked but not defined error"? If so, the reason is because you the template can not be found...
In your case, you have defined the template as:
<?template: template2?> <? For-each: cust_headers?> ** logic** <?end-for-each?> <?end template?>
However, in your call statement, you have (upper case T): <?call-template:*T*emplate2?>
Change that and see if it resolves your error. If not provide details about the error.

Getting blank space after paragraph in RTF template

Hi there,
Thanks so much for all your help for your help.
I am running into one issue in RTF template, wanted to share with you to get any input on this. I have paragraph and Idid put in table at the top and there is xml tag that gives names after that paragraph. but I get blank spaces after paragraph and it shows names from that xml tag.
I tried to remove spaces by deleting between pargraph and xml tag<name> , still i get blank page between paragraph text and names.
Can anyone help me or point me to get it resolved that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Varma for your prompt response and your time on this. I am still trying to get any other options to get this done as that is the requirement and with that blank page looks not fully satisfied for users and am trying any other ways to do implement this..

Do not use SOAP Envelope checkbox, MainDocument set as MainAttachment after call the receiver adapter

We have a Proxy to SOAP scenario and we have the same issue mentioned in this post and in note 1522630, the version is SAP PI 7.31 (AEX). We configured 2 XSLT mappings and we use the MessageTransformBean (Transform.ContentType=text/xml;charset=utf-8) before call the standar module for SOAP receiver adapter.
Everything looks good but in the payload appears MainAttachment (in SAP PI and SXI_MONITOR in SAP ECC 6.0 SAP_BASIS 731) and the proxy can´t read the response for this reason.
This is that we see in the message content:

Thanks a lot for your help.
After a lot of test we solve the problem.
We are using an Integrated Configuration and the keepAttachment checkbox is not necesary.
The problem was that the value "ns0" in the message type of the xml was not added by the XSLT mapping(altova), we added manually in the xsl file and the proxy read the information.
The message content was not changed and looks like an attachment, also y sxi_monitor looks as MainAttachment in the payload but is interpreted good.

My HD-EG5 hard drive only shows me 99 mb of blank space after installing the App lock feature. ??

Upon installing the HD-EG5 500gig Hard Drive & installing the app lock feature, I was prompted to unplug & replug the drive in. When I did all that showed up was a 99 mb section called App unlock. After checking the drive at the most basic level, I can see the other 460+ gig using external software but it cannot be seen when you plug the drive into a USB port.

I suggest that you format the hard drive in FAT32 format to resolve the issue.

How to change appraiser / reviewer after creating the appraisal template

Hi All,
Once the Appraisal template created, if we have changes in appraiser / reviewer, how we can change the new names in the appraisal template in standard (other than T.Code: Phap_admin --> Change header data).
For eg., we have created a document for PERNR 1 on Apr 1st for 01.04.2014 to 31.03.2015 with appraiser as Mr. XYZ, on 01.05.2014 Mr. XYZ left and Mr. PQR replaced that position. In this case, how we can replace appraiser name for PERNR 1 as Mr. PQR in the appraisal template.

Depending on the amount of customizations that you did, it may be easier to use the wizard to re-create the master-detail form & report.
If you still want to give it a go:
Assuming that you created the 2-page Master Detail report & form:
On the first page, you will have to chage the SQL to reflect the new table name. Once you do that, you'll have to re-create the link on the EMPID column.
On the second page, you'll need to do some more work. You'll have to change both Page Rendering Processes: Fetch Row from EMP and Get Next or Previous Primary Key. You'll then need to change the Page Processing Process: Process Row of EMP. Also, ensure that you have a proper Foreign Key relationship between EMP2 and DEPT (or your detail table).

Oracle 10g not releasing space after delting the records

We have a tool which uses Oracle 10g as database. We have been deleting records from the tool and the table space does not show any improvements in the free space. When we have taken the dump and recreated the schema all the unused space is visible. Before recreating the schema database was showing 17.5 GB after recreatig it has hardly 1G which is real. Clearly this is not recommended on a production environemt. Please suggest.

By performing DELETE operations you will not get back the used space. Extents are still allocated to the segments. To free unused extents you may have to do one of the following:
1) move table within the same tablespace
2) shrink the table
3) exp/imp
.......

i could get a handle to the error object by a call to
stmt->error().getErrorText()
Now while using SQLDBC_C i am using
rc = SQLDBC_Statement_execute(stmt,tempstr,strlen(tempstr),encodAsciiType);
Now how do i get the handle to the error object ??
Call like the above one
fprintf(stderr, "Executed SQLDBC_Statement %s",stmt->error().getErrorText());
gives me compilation error:

Sorry. This question doesn't make sense. So, i withdraw the question.
Basically what I had confused with earlier and got clarified now is:
Just like when we make a call to SQLDBC_Connection_connect and after that use the SQLDBC_Connection_getError to get a handle to the SQLDBC_ErrorHndl.
I wanted to know how should we get a handle to the SQLDBC_ErrorHndl after we have made a call to the SQLDBC_Statement_<function call>.
I got the answer after looking through the SQLDBC_C.h file. It will be SQLDBC_Statement_getError and similarly SQLDBC_PreparedStatement_getError.
Wish i could award myself the 10 points for solving the problem

PLEASE HELP!I am trying to go from VB4 which I loved to VB2010 which I find somewhat more challenging. I’ve searched the web for help and have adapted the following to my project. This code does
rotate randomly through every card in the deck and displays unique cards until all have been drawn. BUT I want to draw one card
only from the first “hat” of Boy’s names; then draw the second card from the second “hat” of Girl’s names and repeat this process until all cards in both decks have been drawn. How do I get the TextBox (OR any
MsgBox) to display JUST ONE unique random card at a time so I can exit that deck and go to the next deck?
On my form, I have two TextBoxes (to display the names (as drawn), two buttons (to re-load each deck once exhausted) and one command (&End)control (to end the process). I created two ArraysLists
(to hold the Boys names and Girls names separately) and two ArrayLists to hold the cards for the random decks when created in code.
I can
NOT get this code to draw random UNIQUE names once I exit the deck. I have tried to ReDim the deck; randomly pull a card from the second (temp) deck, etc
NOTHING seems to work.
WHY does my deck lose randomness once I exit it?
How can I fix it? I don’t understand this. Below is the code for the "hat" with the 10 girl's names.
Also, when I don't loop through all the cards, I usually get "An Out of Index exception was not handled" error. Hope someone can help me with this problem. It seems like this should

Thank you for such a fast response. Sorry if my text wasn't clear. I'm really struggling with creating unique random elements in Collections in VB2010 and feel I understand ArrayLists better than some of the other Collection types.The code works perfectly
and generates unique random cards until the original deck is exhausted. Then it prompts the user to re-load the original deck so it can be reused if needed. But I need to draw one card only and exit the deck. Then when I click on the TextBox again, I want
that deck to be in the same random order - just minus any cards I have already drawn and thrown away. Thanks again for your help.

Status code value after calling the method cl_http_client= receive

I am sending a query string to 3rd party via outbound http. Now one of the methods needed in this case is CL_HTTP_CLIENT=>RECEIVE . This method has got 3 exceptions such as communication failure etc. If this method has sy-subrc 0 what does this indicate. If a sy-subrc value of 0 indicates success then why are we again quering the status code value between 200 and 299 . Can it happen that the value of sy-subrc = 0 but the status code value is not between 200 and 299 .
In which cases this situation will occur?

Hi i could not solve the problem with abap. We developed another application by using another programming language for this issue.
But i think you should create an instance for authantication. After authantication you should get the cookies .
Then create a new instance for other link and before send and receive methods set cookies ( which you got from authantication session ) for other link in ABAP.
We did not have enough time to solve this in ABAP. Hope you will solve. If you solve please let me know how you have solved.

Brand new Notebook Keyboard adds a "space" after pressing the "B" key?!

My brand new HP ENVY 17 SELECT EDITION NOTEBOOK PC 's keyboard keeps adding a space everytime I press the "B" key.... HALP?
Example: "B rand new PC"

Have you tried this?
To Perform A Hard Reset
Shut down the computer by going to the Start menu and selecting shut down. (If you have no display, hold the power button down for 5 seconds)
Disconnect the AC Adapter from the notebook.
Remove the battery from the bottom of the notebook. There will be a switch/button to eject the battery.
Wait at least 1 minute with all power sources disconnected.
Re-insert the battery and reconnect the AC Adapter and then attempt to power on the notebook.
