i am working on an application using struts situation is i am using the
<html:file property="" /> to allow the user to upload file. but i need that a default file should be set so that even if the user donot click browse ie the user wish to upload that default file the default file get uploaded on page submition. George - Thanks you so much! Actually, i'd love for the text color to be red font color. Could you send me the script for that? And I assume I just copy and paste the script into the field properties (see screenshot)?

Colin,
You may substitute any text you like for the "Placeholder Text", as it is called, in Pages. Click on the existing placeholder text and type something more to your liking. Do this in as many places as your particular template of interest demands. Then, Format > Advanced > Define as Placeholder Text. Lastly, File > Save as Template.
Now that you have defined a Custom Template to your liking, you can go to Pages Preferences and under the General tab's first section, define the new custom template as your default for each new document.

Default text for a dimension in Webi

Hi Experts,
What is the default text which a dimension takes up in Webi report created on a universe and Bex query ?
Here i have all three text maintained for a dimension - short, medium, long.
and the properties in the IOBJ set as - Text and key,Text Type as medium text, Bex description as Long descritpion.
I have not changed anything at the universe level (any text definition)
The text which is coming in my webi report is coming as short text even though medium is set in the IOBJ properties.
Please help me on this in understanding how the text are pulled in BO Webi report.

Hey Amit,
I faced with same problem,
The WEBI view text according to definition in BEx Query in display properties of characteristic.
If you build selection prompt based on this characteristic , there WEBI search engine use Provider Specific properties.

Hi,
maybe the word "contact" is irritating. I am talking about sales activity, which are contacts in most cases. (Transaction VC01N)
In the sales activity document you can find a set of general texts, that are customized in VOTXN.
Still I do not know how to create a default text (content for the field), that appears in every sales activity as a standard.
If anybody has an idea, I would be very greatful!

Mac - navigateToURL opens default application for .html files instead of browser

On Mac I have Adobe AIR version <string>3.1.0.4880</string> and I have selected TextMate for .html file as default application. With this configuration when I call navigateToURL in my app to open browser, it opens TextMate instead of default browser.
Following is the simple code to open URL:

navigateToURL(urlRequest, "_blank");
Is this known issue? Any workaround for this?

Since you've remapped what your default response to .html files are, you can't use navigateToURL() or openWithDefaultApplication().
So it looks like you'll need to use the NativeProcess class:

Using an ArrayCollection as my text for a TextArea

I have a text area that receives an ArrayCollection as it's
text something like this:

when it get's displayed I see a list of names separated by a
comma. Is there a flag or a simple way of putting each item on a
new line? I added a \n to the text in my getArrayOfCommonNames
function which put them on a new line but I still had the commas.
Any thoughts?

Thx, I did ended up changing my function from returning an
array collection to returning a string and using the
.toString.replace() method to replace the commas to newline
char's.

Hide hover text for HTML help file images???

When I build HTML help, hovering over the image shows the
graphic's name. Can this be hidden?

Hmmm, not sure about using RoboHelp for Word to do this. Out
of curiosity, why are you using RoboHelp for Word to create HTML
based output? Why not switch to RoboHelp HTML? I don't believe this
is an issue in that environment.

Default font for HTML Markup Style

We are using SSRS reports and fetching the data from SQL Server. The data is in form of HTML tags and hence we have set the field properties as HTML Markup. Now we need to know is there a way where in we can set the output font irrespective of the font available
in HTML tags pulled from SQL server.

Based on my understanding, you get values that contains HTML tags from database. Then you set HTML Markup Style in Placeholder Properties to render the values as HTML. Now you want to change the font of output values.
In Reporting Service, already defined font properties in HTML can’t be changed in Placeholder Properties. As we tested in our environment, we add <font color= blue> in HTML, then set HTML Markup Style in Placeholder Properties to render the values
as HTML. When we preview the report, the color of output value is blue. Then we set with this path: Placeholder Properties->Font->Effects->Underline, the output value shows with underline. However, if we change Font Color to Pink, the color of output
value remains blue. Please refer to screenshots below:
So in your scenario, if you have set font properties in HTML tags, then you can’t change corresponding properties to another values in Placeholder Properties.

Hi, I would like to change the default texts for emails send by "Send to". The specific problem is, that the system-url in the link to the object isn't correct.
for example: http://testsystem... instead of http://productive...

I don't know where you have this problem but if this when you create a room you should modify in:
System Administration-System Configuration-Collaboration- Room Backend Properties- you can generate the access url to collaboration room.

HTML TextArea is a JScrollPane in JEditorPane?

Hi all,
I'm trying to create an autofill facility for my application, to do this I am getting the components from the HTML document and converting them to their Java Swing counterpart.
So for example <input type="text" name="example" /> would be a normal text input field on a HTML form, and its Swing conversion is a JTextField - this works as desired and it allows me to use the .settext() command to set the text on the HTML form - i.e. autofilling.
My problem comes when I try to get the component for a HTML textarea, e.g. <textarea name="example"></textarea> - I would expect the Swing component to be a JTextArea, but the class it gets converted to is a JSrcollPane! This leads to a problem as I can't set the text of a JScrollPane as it is a container.
Does anyone know how I might get around this problem so that I can set the text for the textarea? I've included my code below.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I've already tried that and although it does work from a visual POV, when you then submit the form the data in the JTextArea isn't added - it just says the field is blank.
Although, I'm not sure whether it's not working due to the method I've had to use to add the JTextArea: -

JTextArea oTextArea = new JTextArea();
oTextArea.setText("Hello World!");
ta.setViewportView(oTextArea);I'm not sure if it's not working because I've had to use .setViewportView(); rather than .add(). If I use .add() then no changes are reflected on screen and the JTextArea isn't actually added.
Any other suggestions?

Outlook 2013 Quick Print not working for HTML attachments.

I have to print multiple orders that are received as attached HTML files (Sometimes 20+ attachments). In Outlook 2007 (On XP) this worked fine I could print the email with attachments and everything would be waiting for me in the printer.
I just got a new computer running windows 7 and Outlook 2013 and I can no longer print the attachments.
I printed through File, Print, Printer Options, Print Attached Files - Email prints, no attachments.
I tested with an attached DOCX and PDF - Both print the email and attachment.
Quick Print HTML attachment - Nothing Prints.
Open Attachment in Internet Explorer - Prints fine.
Changed Default Program for HTML files to Firefox and tested quick Print - Nothing Prints
Changed Default Program for HTML files to Word and test quick Print - Prompts for program to use when opening (for every attachment), I choose Word, it opens but does not print.
I've been searching for anything else to try but I'm running out of ideas Any help would be appreciated!

To resolved this issue i tried below trouble shooting:
1) Repair MS office 2013
2)Uninstall and install office 2013
3)Rename the Outlprnt file to Outlprnt old from C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook\
4) 2 times Re install printer drivers
5) Creat new outlook profile
if you Unable to print from Outlook 2013 without receiving the "Printer not ready" message (32/64 Win 7 Pro).
This changed worked for us, by selecting the Advanced properties on the printer and changing the default setting "Start printing immediately" to "Start printing after last page spooled".

Default Text in Transportation (Shipment)

Hi Gurus
Need yr expertise.. I need to maintain certain default texts for a customer in shipment (transportation).. How can I maintain those texts? Where should I maintain it? Can I maintain it in customer master, so that whenever there is shipment it will be copied over? I try to find the text in the customer master but it is only showing in the sales order but not shipment..

Hi Sanjay Gupta,
Texts in the SD module carry and share information, such as shipping instructions, through master data and transactional data. You can configure the system to propose the text from the master data or within a document and carry it across the supply chain process. The system then can copy the text to subsequent documents, so you dont need to enter the information again. You also can use the text as an instruction for subsequent processes for example, a note in the delivery document that specifies pick-up instructions.
For instance, you could record customer instructions for receiving the goods. You also could use texts when you have an agreement that is about to expire and you want to send a note with the document that accompanies the goods you send the customer. Another example would be if your customer would like to receive products in a particular sequence. In this case, you could include this information in the shipping instructions, which would notify the warehouse folks of the request before they ship the product.
the t.code is VOTXN to setup text determination. here you can select it for sales document header item, delivery and billing header item details. Also you can do it customer texts. you can configure the text procedure which contain several text ids which during the sales order can be used to maintain additional information.
Maintian the Test in Customer master as well Shipping Header Data
Please check your Config Settings again.
