Define Output Format and Storage Form of Product IDs

Hi experts,
We have already materials with 8 digits created in CRM Production.
However, due to ECC 6.0 upgrade, CRM will have to use another ID legnth.
Is there any impact in the product master data if I change from 8 to 9 digits length in customizing ?
Best regards,
ahm

Hi Dinesh
Thankyou for your quick response.
I have checked the settings as per the note and the CRM cookbook and they appear to be correct.
When I run the initial download and check the SMQ1 RFC queue, it shows SYSFAILS in outbound queues for all the objects. Clicking on each queue and selecting Menu path Goto > Remote system, the system come sup with error message RFC destination EBP1_DNL_CUST_BASIS3 does not exist. I've checked the RFC destinations amd they connect no problem.
The other puzzling thing is that the system seems to want to push from SRM to R3 instead of pulling the objects. For example when I restart the queue from SMQ1 (hihglight queue and hit F6) it pops up with the R3 backend as the destination as if it was a goods receipt confirmation message.

  • Help deciding best output format and workflow to obtain it.

    I’ve volunteered to create a class video for my son’s school.  The majority of my source footage (~80%) is DV NTSC 720x480i 16:9 29.97 fps shot on a Sony DSR-PDX10.  The remainder consists of 1920x1080p 59.941 fps, 1280x720p 119.89 fps, and 1280x720p 59.941 fps, all shot with a GoPro 3.  I need to deliver the final product on discs to the students/parents, though I can be flexible as to whether it is SD DVD or HD Blu-Ray.  I have Adobe CS6 Production Premium suite of applications and I’m not opposed to purchasing other products/add-ons in the couple of hundred dollar range if they’d be of a significant help.
    I’m trying to figure out what output format would give the best quality and the workflow to achieve it.  I’ve been perusing the internet looking for help, but it has gotten a bit overwhelming and there doesn’t seem to be a definitive answer out there.
    I’m wondering since most of my footage is 720x480i, should that be my output format and just down-convert or crop the HD footage.  Or since most folks will be viewing on HDTV’s (which would up-convert an SD-DVD anyhow), should my output format be HD and should I up-convert the SD footage myself.  In any case, when and how should I do the up/down converting, interlacing/de-interlacing, and converting to/from square/non-square pixels (before importing into Premiere, on the timeline, with 3rd party converters, on export or in Encore with AME, etc).
    Any advice or suggestions would be most certainly appreciated.

    If most of the footage is SD, I'd just make the call to work SD and go out to DVD. You shouldn't have too much of an issue using the GoPro footage on an SD timeline I don't think. Just keep an eye on your frame edges and scale up if the PAR mixing is introducing any letter/pillarboxing.
    But I wouldn't export out in DV AVI format for your final export. DV AVI is quite lossy. Sure, most of your footage is already DV, but if you're adding any titles they'll get really gunked up. Instead, go directly out of Premiere into your DVD formats (MPEG2-DVD with NTSC DV Wide preset).

  • Define Output type and Local destination per user

    Hi Gurus,
    Nowadays us have defined Output type by Sales Organiztion/Order Type (S_TCODE = VV11).
    Is possible define Output type and Local destination per user?. How to do?.
    thanks and best regards,
    Wilson

    Hi Wilson
    As per my understanding of requirement: you want output type and Local destination for each SAP End user (i.e. who is processing sales order) not the customer. If this is the requirement, we have two solution for it:
    1) If for a particular region/sales district customer are contacting to one particular destination, then create access sequence with output type/order type/sales district. Means for one sales district one Local destination. If sales district is big area and you have many local destination with in that, then you can divide it into regions.
    2) Ask your ABAPer to create a Z table and maintain Local destination for all Users. And amend the print program such that before saving the output entry into NAST table, based on SY-UNAME(user's id), fetch the printer (local destination) from Z table and update the NAST table accordingly.
    As per my observations, option 2 is simpler and more effective.

  • File formats and compatibility between sequencer products (daft query)

    I'm new at this so if my question sounds daft, please forgive me:
    Can files created in Logic be opened into other sequencer packages, regardless of Mac or PC platform, for further editing without loss of data?

    John, thanks for the reply.
    I'm trying to get to grips with as much info as I need to make a reasonably educated 'guess' at what to buy for my first home studio rig.
    I've been weighing Logic and Cubase before deciding on my first sequencer package. Both seem immensely capable and I'm becoming increasingly impressed with Logic.
    As a Mac user for 16 years Logic is the obvious choice but, wary of the latency issues I'm reading about with lesser Macs (particularly if using Cubase which I'd like to learn later as well) and having only a dual 1GHz G4, I'm unsure whether to venture into PC land with Cubase or go with Logic in anticipation of the arrival of the Intel Macs.
    So, I'm thinking about doing both, i.e. running Logic on a Mac and Cubase on a PC to maximise the efficiency of each and enable me to learn both packages in their most comfortable environment.
    But that would only really be worth the investment if one can sucessfully transfer 'songs' back and forth, between the two sequencers and across platforms, and it's this that prompted my query.

  • Video and audio output, formats and conversion.

    I'm thinking of buying an iPad. After checking the tech. info. it seems the iPad does not put out full HD and surround sound? I use HDMI and fiber optical sound. Maybe an idea for the next iPad genration: onboard 5.1(as the acer aspire 8943).

    You are comparing the iPad to an i7 powered laptop? Why don't you just buy an MacBook Air or MacBook Pro?

  • Output Format of Product Number

    Hi,
    This is pertaining to issue with Product Number, I am CIFing numeric product.
    I am trying to CIF 8 digit Product code from ECC to APO and its getting CIFed as 18 digit code in /SAPAPO/MATMAP table in Extnr Material Number field, while displaying MAT1 its showing as only 8 digit.
    I then changed the settings to Field length 18 and activated the lexicographical check in spro in produt master data and also the same setting in OMSL transaction code.
    But when I activate the CIF queue with this setting it gives me an error that Product field length is less.
    I then changed the spro setting and configured the lenghth as 40 and in OMSL its 18, now the product is getting CIFed with leading zeroes and is also displayed with leading zeroes.
    My requirement is that the produt should get CIFed as 8 digit and should also be diaplayed in the table as 8 digit.
    Can someone please tell me what should be the setting in spro and OMSL transaction so that their are no leading zeroes displayed and also in SAP table its not stored with leading zeroes.
    When I create the product directly in APO their are no leading zeroes in table and display.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sanjog mishrikotkar

    Hi Sanjog,
    The following are the settings where the output format of a
    product number will be maintained
    In R/3, the lexicographic setting will be done in spro>logistics-general>
    material master>basic settings>define output format of material numbers.
    In APO, it is done at spro>APO>Master data>Product>specify output format
    of product numbers.
    Hope this will resolve your issue.
    Please confirm

  • Merging Smartform Output and Adobe Form Output in a single PDF File

    Hi All,
    My Requirement is as follows -
    I have multiple Smartforms and a single Adobe Form.
    I want to merge the Smartform Outputs and Adobe Form output in a single PDF.
    I am able to merge multiple Smartform Output in a PDF , but not able to find any way to merge smartform and adobe form output as the Smartform output is in OTF Format and Adobe form output is in PDF Format itself.
    I have tried few ways , but could not find any success.
    Request you all to give me some direction to this problem.
    Thanks & Regards
    Bhavika

    Kumar,
    I am afraid this is not possible using SAP functionality. There are probably 3rd party tools which allow you to merge several PDFs into one, but SAP itself does not offer such a mechanism. There is an internal SAP function, though, which can merge several "parts" (=several PDFs) within an Adobe-created spool request into a single PDF, intended for downloading this PDF from SP01.
    This is described in note 1717357.
    Best regards,
    Alexander

  • Different resolution in preview and output format

    Hi Folks
    I need your help. We already captured a lot of e-learning material but come to a problem.
    The output format quality is less good than the preview quality.
    Win7 /Captivate 6
    Capture resolution for software simulation is 1024x768.
    Producing the material in swf and html. No compressing, set to best quality.
    Open the preview: quality is nearly the same as the original source.
    Open the swf directly or the html --> output looks cloudy, diffuse.
    Test with an without scalable html. In case of scalable html it is hard to find the right resolution (1024x768) on a 1280x1024 resolution monitor, but you can find it and the the output is clear as the preview.
    The output format resolution within the project is set to 1024x768. We measured the "true" output resolution on different produced output formats, and they are all a little bit higher than 1024x768, about 4% more heigh and width.
    Of course, I was able to change the html-script which sets the start-format for an swf to open, if I change it to 1024x768 and save it, the quality of the swf is like the preview and sharp and ok. But in case of scalable html I cannot set the format. However, why the swf -even when i start/opeen it directly- didn't start with the right resolution set in the settings within the project?
    Also our target group should not "search" for the sharp resolution by scaling the output window.
    Why does captivate change the resolution? why is the preview ok and the produced swf not? I didn't understand that fact.
    Also we like to produce with TOC, so the widht for TOC is 250. If I change the html script in that case to 1024+250=1274x768 the swf is also unshapr/cloudy and I havee no change to fit it to the right resolution (1024+TOC).

    Hello,
    Following is the procedure to convert alv output to spool and then it to PDF Format.
    After we display the ALV, we can check whether it is running in the background using system field u2018sy-batchu2018. Then,we call an function module named u2018GET_JOB_RUNTIME_INFOu2019 to get the current job information. Then go to spool request table tbtcp to get the spool id.
    Get current job details
      CALL FUNCTION u2018GET_JOB_RUNTIME_INFOu2019
           IMPORTING
                eventid                 = gd_eventid

                external_program_active = gd_external_program_active
                jobcount                = gd_jobcount

                                                   jobcount
                                                   stepcount.
      READ TABLE it_tbtcp INTO wa_tbtcp INDEX 1.
    Finally, we can call function module u2018CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDFu2018 to convert spool reqeust(which is stored in OTF format) to PDF format. Then we can call either function module u2018SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1u2032 or SAP BCS (Business Communication Service) to send the pdf as an email attachment.

  • Is any difference in the CDR output format of CUCM version 6.1.5 and 7.1.5?

    Hello,
    Customer has a CUCM 6.1.5 cluster which is getting upgraded to 7.1.5. currently the CUCM CDR is sent to a external system (performix) which generates required reports. I would like to know if there is any difference in the CDR output format of CUCM version 6.1.5 and 7.1.5/ its vital to confirm this prior to upgrade as the performix is managed by a different vendor.
    Please advise !
    Shahid

    You can review the CDR documentation here to find that out, most likely there might be some changes

  • Output Report in HTML format thru Oracle Forms. ASAP!!!

    Hi,
    How can i create a HTML output format thru Oracle Runtime Form?
    I have tried using the .REP and i was able to produce the HTML output format but when call the .REP using Oracle Form i was not able to produce the desired output.
    Attach below is the code. Seems like something is wrong with the code
    Thanks,
    Jen

    ** Create the 'tmpdata' parameter list afresh.

    **for the parameters being passing in.
    Add_Parameter(pl_id, 'PARAMFORM', TEXT_PARAMETER, 'NO');
    ** Add the account_no parameters to this parameter list
    Add_Parameter(pl_id,'P_ACCOUNTNO',TEXT_PARAMETER,:account_no);

    Run_Product(REPORTS, 'c:\Fusion\FusionInvoice.rep',
    SYNCHRONOUS, RUNTIME, FILESYSTEM, pl_id, NULL);
    END;
    null

    Hi there,
    You have to add 3 parameters to param list :
    DESTYPE with value "FILE"
    DESNAME with value of desired filename
    DESFORMAT with value "HTML" or "HTMLCSS" (for cascading style sheets)
    Hope this helps.
