Defining a PRT and traceability of PRT
Hello Experts,
I have a client where they use tools but they are not defined as a PRT nor assigned to any operation. In the current legacy system they have a good traceability of the tools used in producing a material, these tools are to be replaced when worn out. My question here is How to have a proper traceability of the tools, and since these tools are worn out and to be replaced now and then should they be defined as a material PRT? Also suppose 100 FG's are produced using this tools and starting from 50-100 there are defective pieces and they have to recall, so since these PRt's are not defined at operation level how can we know which tool has caused the damage of the product 50-100, and which tools need to be replaced to prevent further damaged to the goods produced how to provide this leverage in SAP? Defining Key -field and data fields
Hi all
i have to define Key-Fields and data-Fields for a DSO(say DSO3).
DSO1 is a combination of DSO2 and DSO3..
DSO1 and DSO2 are SAP defined DSOs.
DSO3 is a User defined DSO.
my assumption:
DSO3 has 30 fields
DSO2 has 16 fields.
can i create the DSO3 with remaining 14 fields which is there in DSO1?
or i have to create the DSO3 with 30 fields(all DSO1 fields).
can any body explain....

krishnaThe problem is not how many fields you create where, the issue is where is the data is going to come from.
Since you data is going from DSO3 to DSO1and if the field is already getting populated in DSO1 from DSO2, then you don't have to worry about populating those fields again, unless and otherwise you want to overwrite them.
Remember any fields exist in both DSO3 and DSO2 which overlapping will be overwritten by the latest update.
Again, going back to your question, you should consider does your datasource has missing fields (14 of them).

I have tried setting similar settings for setting the Shared Templates folder location and just like the trusted locations policy, the registry keys are created properly in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies however word doesn’t
seem to recognize these either.
This used to work flawlessly using the administrative templates for Word 2007 and 2010. Has anyone been able to get these policies to apply successfully, or know why office doesn’t recognize these settings from the Policies registry

BW reports will be shown in SRM Box if the corresponding BW roles for SRM are integrated with SRM roles.
You might to activate the corresponding datasource of this in SRM.
And since you have to connect the source system to BW, I think you have to define SRM system as logical system in BW.

That means that I can't set System properties or set the jaxp.properties file. I tried to use the META-INF/services/javax.xml.transform.TransformerFactory file but it didn't work.

Workflows | Defining sub-workflows and capturing wfActions
Hi All,
I am trying to define a sub-workflow post which I want to make a jump based on the action taken in the one step sub-workflow. I tried to use the wfActions to find the action taken at a step, but the applet shows the following error:
Offset in runtime evaluation is at character 17. Could not find the parameter 'wfAction'.
I even tried to do a <$wfSet("myvar",wfAction)$> which gave the same error.
I tried to capture this action in the Update section of the script as well as in the Exit section. Has someone used this parameter, has it worked on UCM 10gR3.

This error is due to the confirmation parameters not maintained with respect to the plant and order type you used in the process order.
Go to OPK4 transaction or in the path-Production Planning for Process Industries-Process Order-Operations-Confirmation-Define Confirmation Parameters.
Maintain with respect to plant and oreder type and again try to do teh confirmation.

Defining IP Address and DNS configration on VMWare server?
plz suggest as mentioned in subject.
We have SuSe LINUX Version ans wants to define IP Address and DNS setting.
We get some error which looks like as resulted due to IP or DNS setting.
Guys..guide me to correct forum if reqd.Using VMWare there are two issues to keep in mind.
a) Which kind of network are you using in VMWare
b) Set up the IP information in your VMWare guest (SuSe)
a) There are three network types in VMWare, host only, bridged and NAT.
Usually I use host-only for my machines as they are used for internal testing.. Bridged will connect to the real network and maybe you get an IP address from there (when DHCP is used). NAT will use you computers IP and translate it.
b) Setting the IP is easy - just use YAST and configure the IP address of your machine (either fixed or using DHCP). Setting up a DNS server yourself is out of the scope of this posting. Look on the internet for a howto to set up your DNS server. If you just need to configure a DNS server with your IP this can be done with YAST.

System Response
The system will skip fee calculation period Z000 and continue processing with the next fee calculation period.
Procedure
1. Check which academic calendar is assigned to the top organizational unit.
2. Check which academic period is assigned to fee calculation period Z000. You check this setting in Customizing for Campus Management in the IMG activity Assign Academic Years and Sessions to Fee Calculation Periods.
3. In this academic calendar, create the start and end dates of the relevant academic period using standard time limit 0100 (standard duration of academic period) or a corresponding user-defined time limit.

The User-defined value help and dispatcher iViews in CRM-PCUI are no longer displayed after I installed CRM 4.0 Support Package 03. I also get a portal error when I execute the link.

As per my understanding of requirement: you want output type and Local destination for each SAP End user (i.e. who is processing sales order) not the customer. If this is the requirement, we have two solution for it:
1) If for a particular region/sales district customer are contacting to one particular destination, then create access sequence with output type/order type/sales district. Means for one sales district one Local destination. If sales district is big area and you have many local destination with in that, then you can divide it into regions.
2) Ask your ABAPer to create a Z table and maintain Local destination for all Users. And amend the print program such that before saving the output entry into NAST table, based on SY-UNAME(user's id), fetch the printer (local destination) from Z table and update the NAST table accordingly.
As per my observations, option 2 is simpler and more effective.

I have iPhone 4. After I upgraded to ios5 I have a problem with Wi-Fi connection with "WPA enterprize" protection. I can define the connection and everything works fine. But after I lose signal or shutoff the WiFi, I cannot re-connect, and need re-define the net. It is only in WPA enterprize.

There are few entries normally delivered by SAP and which are good for a regular implementation. It is possible that those are not copied over from the reference client. Second option is to check the BC set (if) available for this activity and pull those in. Check the SAP reference client first, most likely that has entries which you can copy over to your regular client.
