Delegate rights on iCal and meeting email notifications.

If you grant another person Delegate rights to your calendar and set their permission to "Read & Write", they will receive email notifications of all new meetings created for you, but you yourself will never receive those notices. If their permissions are "Read & Create", however, the invitee (and not the delegate) receives the email notice.
This is known bug. Is this fixed? Is there any work around for this?

started yesterday for both of us here too.  She on iPhone3gs, me on iPhone 4.  But also showing up on iCal on macs... whenever any event is added, deleted or changed it generates an email to the other person who subscribes to that calendar.  Got to be a server issue.. we haven't upgraded anything recently and phones are still on iOS 5.01 even.

    Hi,
    We have rolled out a fix for this issue.

  • How to stop ical from sending email notifications for updates on my share ical calendar

    Is it possible stop ical from sending email notifications for updates I make on my share ical calendar?
    Mac OSX 10.7.2
    Very annoying for the person I am sharing my calendar with to get an email every time I change something.
    I hope there is a way to stop the emails, but for the updates to still go on their calendar.
    Thanks

    Great idea Lofty! thanks. If the person you are sharing a calendar with is a Yahoo Mail user, you only need to set up one filter (under Options - Mail Options - Filters) and route to Spam folder or a special folder for that purpose.
    Add a filter with the following parameters:
    Sender contains:    "Your First and Last Name" as it appears in the emails they are receiving
    Subject contains:  "Your First Name"
    Email body contains: "iCloud"
    Don't need to match case on anything.
    So far, only these unwanted emails are being routed to the folder I chose.
    Hope that helps until Apple gets it's act together

  • Schedule webi report to destination to Inbox AND send email notification

    I'm writing a new process that will schedule a webi report.  The output of the report needs to be delivered to multiple user's BO Inboxes AND an email notification (without the report attached) needs to be sent telling them that they have a new report to view in their Inbox.  Trying to mimic how this is done via CMC Schedule - Notification and Destination tabs.
    I can get it to deliver the report to the Inbox and I can get it to send an email seperately, but the problem I'm running into is that I can't get it to do both in the same process.  Here is the code snippet that I've written.  Any assistance would be appreciated.
    // Retrieve the managed plugin

    managedOptions.setDestinationOption(IManagedOptions.CeDestinationOption.ceInbox);

    IInfoObject smtpInfoObject = (IInfoObject)smtpInfoObjects.get(0);
    IDestinationPlugin smtpDestinationPlugin = (IDestinationPlugin)smtpInfoObject;
    // Set to email notification on success
    ISMTP smtp = (ISMTP)smtpDestinationPlugin;
    ISMTPOptions smtpOptions = (ISMTPOptions)smtp.getScheduleOptions();
    smtpOptions.setServerName("mailhost.XXXXX.net");
    smtpOptions.setPort(25);
    smtpOptions.setDomainName("XXXXX.com");
    smtpOptions.setSenderAddress("XXXXX.com");
    smtpOptions.setSubject("Indicative Data Update Reports");
    smtpOptions.getToAddresses().add("XXXXX.com");
    smtpOptions.setMessage("Test Message");
    smtpOptions.setSMTPAuthenticationType(CeSMTPAuthentication.NONE);
    scheduleInfo.getNotifications().getDestinationsOnFailure().add("New");
    scheduleInfo.getDestination().setFromPlugin(smtp);

    One thing to keep in mind is that "scheduling to SMTP" is different from "scheduling with email notification", and it looks like you're conflating the two.  The ISchedulingInfo.getDestinations() is the access point for scheduling to SMTP and ISchedulingINfo.getNotifications() is the access point for scheduling with Notification.
    > scheduleInfo.getNotifications().getDestinationsOnFailure().add("New");
    You'd add the SI_PROGID of the SMTP Destination here, and work with the returned IDestination to set the destination parameters.

  • IPhone 3G and Push Email Notifications

    Hello everyone.
    Before I got my iphone, I used to own a blackberry, and push email was my main form of communication on it. I cannot begin to describe how amazing push email was on the blackberry - the moment an email was sent to my address my blackberry picked it up right away, I'd say within 10 seconds. Now, I have an iPhone 3G OS 3.1 with mobileme email set up to use push email. I don't know if i'm the only person experiencing this...but push notification my foot... sometimes I don't even get notified of emails until I open the mail app myself and do a manual check. I have mobile me on my iPhone set to push, I have push in the settings menu set to on... I don't know what else to do.
    I'd be happy to hear of other peoples experiences with MobileMe push mail on the iPhone. My account expires in two weeks...maybe I'd be better switching to push mail with gmail? I might give that a try this evening.
    Regards
    Seb

    Just playing for more hours! Push works lightning fast if you enter anything onto MobileMe, it syncs to Iphone in less than 20 secs, Mail email, contacts and calendar.
    The problem is I am using with Entourage 2008 that supposed to sync with Ical and Address Book, this is either not working or coming through ad hoc or taking hours to Iphone, this is not push email like above.
    MobileMe is fine as a standalone push system back to Iphone, but what about me using Entourage to manage all my mailboxes and data to iphone.

  • SMS and/or email notifications from iPhone/iPod Touch calendar(s)

    My wife and I have iPod Touch's that we use to sync 2 calendars. Is there ANY way to get SMS or email notifications of an event?
    By syncing google calendar it will work ONLY if the event is created via google calendar - it won't work if it's created on the iPod.
    I bought GoCal which says it has this feature, but I couldn't get it to work.
    If i could get email notification i could just setup a filter to forward only those emails to my verizon dumb phones email address.
    The point of this is to have a calendar that stays in sync, but we don't have our iPods with us every minute of the day. . . so we need the sms alert of the event.

    Thank you very much

  • Create a Recovering/Changing Password web form and send email notification

    Hi all
    I am looking for a web page or application that will allow an user to change his/her database password. I am thinking about those web forms where end users enter the current password and the new password, hit submit and the new password gets activated. Then the web form send an email notification
    The database is an Oracle 10G database.
    Is there any template similar to this one http://www.asp.net/learn/security/tutorial-13-vb.aspx for an Oracle database?
    thanks

  • Auto provisioning users and send email notification to the users

    I currently have CUCM 10.5 setup to auto register phones and I use Cisco prime provisioning 10.5 to auto provision the users.
    Self provisioning is setup and users can call the IVR number enter the self service ID, which is their DN.
    what I would like to do is send an email notifying  the end user of their setup and how to use their telephony device Example (Self-service ID: 8888, auth code: 3333) is this possible from Prime Provisioning or CUCM.

    Thanks Jamie
    Wishful thinking I guess. It would have been seamless if they added that form of email notification to end users when auto provisioning. Anyways to get around that I used MS word mail merge and used the same spread sheet I used to batch provision the users to send the Self-service ID to the email contacts.

  • Exchange 2010 SP3 and meeting forward notification options

    I'm having an issue with meeting forward notifications in Exchange 2010 SP3. I'm working on an integration project with an existing system using the EWS Managed API. Part of this system is handling forward notifications and responses. However, we've hit
    an issue regarding the way forwards are generated by Exchange.
    In short, when a meeting request is forwarded to an external address (could be an Exchange server outside of our domain, gmail, or anything, really), the notification they receive places the meeting owner in the "sent representing" field, not the
    person who actually sent the forward. As a result, any responses from the forward recipient will go directly back to the organizer, and the user who forwarded the request may not even be visible. We do not want this to happen. We'd prefer that the forward
    show the person who actually sent it as the sender, and as a result, the response should go directly back to them, not the organizer.
    Is this possible, either through settings or flags on the Appointment object itself or through some additional configuration options in Exchange? Installing a third-party transport agent (even one that we write) is probably out of the question.

    What if you "Forward as iCalendar"

  • Updating a SharePoint Calendar and sending email notifications based on information from an Access Web App

    Hi MSDN Forum,
    I have created an Access Web App that I am hoping to add some functionality to. I am looking to provide email notification to different users from my organization (a field within the Access Table) when the current date approaches the renewal date (another
    field within the Access Table). I would also like to display all renewal dates on a SharePoint Calendar for users to see. Any advice on how to do this would be much appreciated.
    Thanks!

    I'm not familiar with how Access Web Apps work. However, on the SharePoint side of things, it looks like a workflow will be your best bet. Are you using Visual Studio? I've created a few tutorials on sending email notifications in Visual Studio 2012. https://youtu.be/JFdiQEyDkEk

  • ICal and work email from a gmail server

    I have a work email which is purchased via gmail, i.e. [email protected] Previously, all my calendars were set up and all ran smoothly. Then, I went to setup my store's email which is on the same gmail server, but i kept getting errors saying that it couldn't connect to a secure server. I looked at the settings for my other accounts and they showed as CalDAV and believe I set everything up identically, but to no avail. Is there a way to get my work email/calendar to show in iCal or is there something going on with gmail/ical that is causing this to error out?

    The LabVIEW Internet Developers Toolkit has only SMTP (send) mail tools One option that I could think of is in Windows making calls to Outlook via ActiveX. In Unix there are myriad ways to write mail reciept and parsing scripts which could be called by LabVIEW.

  • Email notification to SC approver and Admin..

    Hello Experts,
    In my SC approval workflow, I need 2 types of Email notification
    1) Email notification to all approvers once the SC is ordered, there are various level of appovals for each level to each approver
         1 email notication is required saying - u have SC XX in your UWL for approval. No offline approval is required here.
          Solution I have planned is scheduling job for /SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND   every hour. Please let me know if there is any other standard solution possible.
    2) Email notification to System Administrator if any SC workflow goes into error mode for any reason.
    I am not able to find any standard solution for this. I assume I have to write custom program for this which will identify all failed workflows in last hour or so and send email notification to Administrator . Please let me know if there is any standard solution possible. Is it possible to use Alerts in this case???
    Regards,
    Hema

    Hi,
    1) /SAPSRM/OFFLINEAPPROVALSEND is the right one.
    2) Please check you have maintained workflow administrator in SWU3 transaction. I think workflow admin gets error notification.

  • ICal Server Email Notifications to Users On Same Domain

    I am using iCal Server in an environment where a all of the iCal Server users are internal to the organization with emails that end with the same internal domain name.  Is it possible for iCal to send email notifications to those people invited internally whenever an event is scheduled?  Not all of the users are using iCal as their calDAV client so it would be perfect if an email notification went out to the invitees when someone schedules an event.  Email notification works just fine if I invite someone to an event with an external email address.
    Thank you.

    iCal Server sends invitations to internal users too if you remove the email addresses of your internal users under "Info" in Workgroup Manager.
    So the Open Directory does not have an entry for the users with your internal domain, which makes iCal Server see the user as an external one.
