Delete a Cost Forecast version

All,
I have a CO 'Cost Forecast' version in a development client. It is only flagged for 'Plan'.
It has been used for project forecasting (cj9l).
I want to delete the version. How do I delete the dependent entries before I could delete the version itself?

1. We are extracting the Data form APO DP planning area and maintaining the Versions based on the Forecast Version in BI. The Forecast Version in BI will hold the Versions in Calmonth format (MMYYYY).
2. Load frequency-- Monthly load for (36 months worth of forecast data)
3. Need to maintain 12 Versions and once we reach the 13th Version (13th load) then we need to delete the 1st Version
4. Data Flow details:
Export DataSource(PSA)> W.O-DSO->CUBE
Your help will be much appreciated.

My Requirement is: We load monthly once to Standard DSO and Cube form WO DSO.
|---> Standard DSO
WO-DSO-|
|---> Standard CUBE
We generate the Forecast Version based on the System Date (we take Month to Forecast Version Object).
Example: We started loading form March-2008. We loaded 12 Versions by Feb-2009. When we do the next load which is 13th load, we want to delete the data we loaded on March-2008 from both DSO and CUBE.

Correct, if you've got the Photography Plan or the Cloud Complete Plan.

How to accomplish Revenue and Cost forecasting in Oracle?

We are implementing Oracle Rel 11.5.10. and have a specific business requirement for Revenue and Cost Forecasting.
We have Projects integrated with OM using custom extensions (We are not using Project Manufacturing). Revenue is based on scheduled shipment dates and Cost is based on PO Promise Dates. Both Revenue and Cost are forecasted for 2 quarters and are rolled up on revenue category level. When Scheduled shipment date changes it is required to automatically forecast the revenue in the period scheduled ship date falls into. We understand that out of the box functionality does not support roll up of forecast at revenue category level which leads to displaying budgets, commitments and atuals in different lines. Has any one done this in any of there client engagements? Can anyone explain how Revenue and Cost forecasting is done in a High tech Network Equipment manufacturer which usies Projects.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

My understanding is that your entire solution is based on custom proceses.
You might have a program that reads the scheduled shipment date from OM and generate budget lines for revenue.
You might have a program that reads the PO Promise date from Purchasing, and generate budget lines for costs.
You could integrate those sources and generate a new version of forecast every time you need to update your plans in Oracle Projects.

Project Cost forecast

While executing transaction CJ9L, no cost to complete are calculated
for my internal activity.
I have completed the customizing so that :
I have activity-assigned networks which are both appended and
apportioned.
The activity is assigned to a WBS element.
I have posted times on the activity thus there is a partial
confirmation on the activity.
I have indicated the POC for this activity.
Thanks for your feed-back on any other action that must be done for the
cost to complete to be calculated.

Actually the CJ9L (project forecast) is a part of PLM (actually Project System), which you may post it in PLM forum.
Regarding the question, I think, you mix the two terms CTC (costs to complete) and POC. Certainly it make sense to integrate two business functionalities, but unfortuenately till now, the two functionalites do NOT affect each other.
The result of CJ9L create additionaly entries in the COSS & COSP table using the forecast version. You can run the standard PS info. report to get the proejct forecast be showed. The POC value is never tauched.

Basically PCS_PER_PACK is a KF i have in the DSO, which i use to calculate the total number of pieces which i store in a KF in the cube. The transformation rule to calculate TOTAL_PCS is a routine.
within this routine i multiply PACKS * PCS_PER_PACK to calculate the figure. I do not store PCS_PER_PACK in the cube.
is it this rule that you want me to check whether aggregation is set to SUM or overwrite? Also this rule should add up the total pcs. if I say overwrite then it might not give me the desired result?
Thing which i cannot figure out is since the transformation rules go record by record why would it add up the PCS_PER_PACK figure before calculating?
I cannot access the system at the moment. as soon as i can i will check on it and get back to you.

I would strongly advise you not to let it sit in the Inbox.
When you see this happening, try right-click on the affected folder, select '''Properties''' then '''Repair Folder'''.
Large folders (actually, a folder in Thunderbird is stored as a file, so it is sensitive to file size limits set by the underlying file system) can be problematic. This is one reason not to let messages collect in one folder. I use Thunderbird's Archive folders so that accumulated mails over several years can happily coexist because they are effectively stored in many small folders. No single mail store folder then exceeds the 2GB or 4GB sizes that have been known to stress the OS. I appreciate that current builds of Thunderbird and a modern 64-bit OS should be able to cope, but practically I find it slows down when given huge files, so I err towards a pragmatic solution; a large number of not very big files.
Archives are searchable, and a Saved Search folder can give you a virtual composite folder allowing access to the entire Archive.

Function modules or BAPI for deleting plan costs on a cost center

Hi all,
I search for a function module or bapi to delete plan costs / activity on a cost center.
At the moment I update the planning with 0, but that cause a mass of needles entries on the cost centers.
For check and posting I use the function group 6026 - BAPI_COSTACTPLN_* ,
but there is no function for deleting.
Has anyone an idea?

How to delete an active change version of a PO?

Hi all mates,
question: given a PO number, assuming that the active version is a change one and the previous version has been ordered (I don't know if this is the proper word: I mean "transferred to the backend" (R/3))... is there a simple way, e.g, a FM, to delete the last version of a PO, so that this goes definitely lost and the previous version is restored and set to active?

after reading a bit, I'd like to add further details:
- what I call a "change version" is actually a new version of the purchase order which is in status "HELD";
- 'transferred to the backend' -> the current version of the purchase order is in status "ORDERED".
Then, if i click on the "version" tab in SRM, i can see that an order modified after distribution has a previous version (status "ORDERED") and a current version (in status "HELD").
I'd like to know if there's a way to delete the current active version and restore the previous, ORDERED version. The question arises because I'm creating a report that makes an update of a Purchase order, but to do so the order must be in status 'ORDERED' so if an HELD version is active I should "rollback" to the previous one... or alternatively, I must manage overwriting the HELD version currently active ( I wasted a lot of time but I wasn't able to do it ).

GOTO KSU2 OR KSV2(Distribution or Asseeement cycle)
Select the cycle Remove the cost center whether it is in sender or receiver side and save the cycle.
Then run KS04 and delete the particular cost center.

We have one material. We can't delete the cost estimate via CKR1. It is only warning. It is no error log. The other material cost estimate can delete normally. u2022 If you delete an active standard cost estimate, you can no
longer determine scrap, work in process and variations for previous
periods.
u2022 In certain countires, it is a legal requirement to maintain
records of standard pricing. Therefore, you should check whether you
are obliged by law to keep records of your standard cost estimates.
Please also contact the relevant accounting and inventory management
departments.

Hi,
The deletion of Current standard cost estimate should be followed with some rules of the IFRS.
If you want to change the standard cost you can do the change,If you want to delete the standard cost of material then it will set the price of material to zero.If the material ledger also activate then it will make the Moving average price & standard cost of the material to zero.
So follow the Law of the country & Discus with Audit team &then delete the curent standard cost estimate of the material.

Plan versions: A plan version is created in accounting and stores different cost plans for a project, such as an "optimistic" and a "pessimistic" plan.
Now coming to plan version 0 is verson where actaul cost is updated in your organisation.
Plan version 1 is used for the planning...
How to see the same in CJE5 is suggested by Virendra..
However there is no filed name planned cost in report but the name of the filed is Proj.cost sched.000
with which you can achieve your result.
path is run txn CJE5>give your Project no.> F8> in new screen> F5-->in new Window scroll down in the right side for the Proj.cost sched.000 filed > with select take the same to left side>Enter--> values will displyed for this field in your report.
similarly you can use the other fields as well... take help of F4, to know the meaning of fileds.
