Delete project

How do I delete a project from the toolkit? I have already deleted the directory containing the project, but it still won't let me make a new project with the same name. TIA. Judy

Never mind. After much searching discovered that projects are now saved in a user's "Documents and Settings" (Windows) directory rather than in the install apps directory. Finally got a clue from the storage root message when executing stuff I had just deleted! Judy

How to delete projects from Vault

Ok, here is the issue.
I work remotely on a laptop and my main library and vault are on my home computer.
I only keep the last couple of projects on the laptop and use the vault to backup those projects. I used managed files.
When I get home from the road, I export/import the projects to the home machine and master library to do further work and use vault on an external for backup.
So, on the laptop, I will delete projects to make more space on the hdd and I dont need them on the laptop any longer (they are already in the master library and vault at home).
However, the problem is that when I delete those projects and then update the vault, it does not seem to delete those projects in the vault. So the vault just keeps growing in size until it fills up and I cant seem to delete those projects from the vault. Again, both the laptop library and the laptop vault are simply for backup while on the road so I'd like to have the vault on the portable be able to stay synced with the library on the laptop. When I delete a project, it does the same in the vault to keep the external space consistent as well.
Is there any way to do this? Shouldnt the vault basically just back up the library and when something is deleted from the library it should be deleted from the vault as well?
As it is, I need to delete the entire vault when it fills the external and create a whole new one after deleting the projects from the library.
Is there an easier way?

I have not contacted AppleCare, but will if this is how its working for others.
Have you tried this and are sure it is working that way? After all, last week after deleting three projects from the laptop and main library and then updating the vault, I had a vault that was over 80 gigs in size while the library was now less than 20 gigs in size.
After deleting the vault and starting a new one, the new vault was approximately the same size as the library, actually slightly smaller like it is with the master vaults at home with the main library.
I have twice now had my external fill up with the vault while I had been constantly deleting old projects on the laptop. So it just seemed to keep adding new stuff to the vault, but not get rid of the old that I was deleting.

How to recover deleted projects in adobe flash builder 4.5 for PHP

Problem:I accidently deleted project in adobe flash builder 4.5 for PHP and in confirming dialogue box,i checked delete contents one(see figure).
I have wasted almost 6 hours and googled almost everything but couldn't find solution.
I have also used data recovery software like Get Data:Recover my deleted files.It found all my deleted files which was deleted by me pressing Shift+Del,but it didn't displayed files which i wanted(since they were deleted by Adobe flash builder).
Any help would be welcomed as that project was so important for me.

I have used almost 6 recovery software paid and free and didn't intstalled on that drive where my original files are located so that it don't get overwritten.
All of them are able to recover some files like
.project
public/bin-debug folder
.settings folder
But my .php files i located in web root folder.Those file by i connect data/services. I mean PHP project files are deleted.
I had following structure of files
<Web root > php scritps to connect data\services\UserService.php                  (this file)
<Web root > php scritps to connect data\services\EmployeeService.php          (this file)
<Web root > php scritps to connect data\test\test.php                                    (this file)
<Web root > php scritps to connect data\Imp files to connect data using PHP and MySql.txt (this file)
Files marked by "this files " are lost and not found by any recovery software.
I need those php and txt files specifically.

Can't delete project service application instance

First, sorry for my english.
I'm trying to delete project service application instance with no luck. I tried to delete service app accordingly with this topic (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/d03219d0-9748-43ef-9c5e-b9006bcaf354/cant-delete-project-web-app-or-service-application?forum=sharepointadmin)
and i've got "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." error after calling Delete method. I tried to delete service app from central administration and also tried to create a new one, but i still got this error in both

Look for any orphan PWA instances in the farm by running the below commands:
> Retrieve the List of PWA instances in the farm including the orphaned ones:
$serviceapp = get-spserviceapplication | ? {$_.TypeName -like "*Project*"}
$pwainstances = $serviceapp.Sitecollection
$pwainstances | ft name, id
> Look for the properties of the instances by running the below commands and find the one which is orphaned

How do "delete" the deleted project rows from the database

My database has grown large due to "perf" testing and needs trimmed down. I have been deleting projects from the P6 Professional which marks the projects and associated data as "deleted" but does not actually delete them.
How does one go about forcing the deletes from these tables. I think the DAMON or someother process "deletes" them but running DAMON does not help.
How do I force these deletes so that I can test the performance with reasonable number of projects..

You don't.
You can restore from backup. Everything from the time of the backup will be restored to the iphone. Anything after that will be erased, however.

How to avoid deleted projects being deployed when server starts

Hi All,
I have created some project in RAD 7 for some testing purpose with WAS 6.1.
Now problem is I was not aware of the fact that WAS 6.1 does not work with local workspace and it shares all the workspaces. So after sometime I deleted those workspaces from Windows file system and not by opening workspace from RAD 7.
Now whenever I create new workspace and start the server...those old workpaces haunts me by giving all exceptions about "not able to find deployment.xml file" for those EAR files.
Does any one know how to remove those deleted projects, so that server does not try to deploy them.

Deleting Projects and associated media

Hi All:
What is the best way to delete projects in FCP?
Is there a way to delete all the related media, specially the one in Capture Scratch, Render files, Autosave, Waveform Caches, etc etc. Right now I am doing it manually. I would love for a feature that would delete all the media associated with a project?

another method not often used is to select all your project media from within the project tab in the FCP browser window, then right-click and choose Make Offline ... and in the dialog chose "Delete from disc"
that will trash everything no matter where you had stored it.
then you can go to the render manager and trash all the renders for that particular project too
so you can clean up a lot from directly within FCP

While deleting project from CJ20N entries are not deleted from table PRPS

I am deleting project from CJ20N then from PROJ table entries are getting deleted but WBS element entries are not deleted from table PRPS.
Any deletion Flag should also be checked?

Hi Josef,
I only administer cvsnt, so I can explain it for Linux only very roughly... Deleting projects under a repository as well es single files should be done by just deleting the dir tree / the file.
For deleting a repository first you have to "delete" it via CVS Service Control Panel (so delete the connection between CVS and a certain dir as repository so far) and aftwerwards delete the dir tree on the file system.
For CVS stores the version info within the file ("*.ext,v"), deleting this deletes also the version info.

Can't Delete Projects

I am realtively new to Aperture (only used v.2). I thought I had a handle on organization, etc., unitl I tried to delete projects from which I have removed all of the photos. Although there are no photos in the project, I get a dialogue box saying that the project cannot be deleted until it is empty.
Stuck now with 6 or 7 "empty" projects I can't get rid of. I've un installed and re installed Aperture even. Same issue.
Any thoughts?

I'm getting the error after selecting option "Delete Project" (in the drop down list) during the workflow. This is not working now.
I'm using jboss 4.2 eap. You're correct, I made changes in /servers/<instance-name>/conf/jboss-service.xml for transaction timeoout with 7200 sec.

Delete project A that's been copied to project B

Can I delete project A that I have copied to project B now project AB, to free up HD space?
Is it possible to import dv footage from a camcorder into an existing project without affecting the project other than lengthening it?

1) an iM project stores all needed data within the project file.. so, after copying A into B, you can erase A ...
2) sure. select in iM prefs, to import into the clippane, and your edited timeline is untouched...

Remove ability to delete projects from Project Managers

hello forum members,
does anyone know how to set up permissions so that Project Managers can't delete projects? (we are using Project Server permission mode)

Hi Tatiana,
This setting can be removed in the PWA Settings > Manage Groups. Here you can edit the Project Manager groups and for each one of the selected categories (you will need to click on each) remove the 'Delete Project' option

Where do deleted projects end up? PLEASE tell me that they are recoverable!

I just deleted an untitled project from Aperture 2.1 which contained 1700 duplicate images that another named project contained.
Deleting the untitled project ALSO deleted my named project along with ALL of my images, all of my edited images that I just spent a week editing. My named project is still in the contents of my Aperture library, but is empty except for two files - Album.implicitAlbum and Info.apfolder
Where do deleted projects end up? Someone please tell me that I am not screwed here.

I agree that backups are necessary, however there is a big difference in work flow between writers and photographers.
Writers (writing novels) usually aren't under as tight a deadline as photographers. I have to have my edited images uploaded to the wire service within a very short time after shooting them. Taking an hour or more to backup a 3TB Aperture library to a vault isn't an option until the images are edited and sent out whereas saving a text document takes no time. Maybe I need several smaller libraries but until Apple makes it easier to switch between libraries on the fly that is going to have to wait.
What I am trying to get an answer to is why this "untitled project", which was apparently created after my original titled project, (the images within were rated and edited just like the project I was working in), blew away my masters in the titled project when the untitled project was deleted. I didn't import them to the "untitled project". I didn't copy them to the "untitled project". I wasn't aware that the "untitled project" existed until I saw it and deleted it.
Additionally, where did the files go? They are not in the trash, there is no Aperture directory in the trash as has been the case in the past, and there is no sign of them anywhere.
Anyone?
