Delete scheduled jobs from previous days

Post Author: supermeerkat
CA Forum: Administration
I look after a Business Objects server that runs about 400 reports per day.
Over the weekend the CMC stopped, nothing was reported in the logs, no attemps at restarting occured. But this isn't the problem.
When I restarted the CMC it started up with no problems, but in the
Instance Manager, it has started running the scheduled reports from the
day it stopped (Sunday the 4th May). It looks like it'll work through
all of the scheduled reports from Sunday, then Monday, before it gets
to today (Tuesday).
Is there any way I stop it from running the scheduled reports from
Sunday and Monday, and just have it run Tuesdays reports? Any help
would be gratefully recieved.

Nope. You can't get that, if house keeping jobs are scheduled.

  • BI Publisher Bursting sending Email even after I delete schedule job

    I am facing some weird issue in BI Publisher. We have a BI Publisher report and we are using Bursting query to burst the report to destination Email. It works fine when i run manually. It also worked fine when i schedule it first time for particular time. few days ago client wanted to change the scheduling time. Since there is no way to modify the scheduling time, i deleted the old schedule jobs from BI Publisher as well as i truncated the following tables from DB where it stores scheduling job information.
    XMLP_SCHED_JOB
    XMLP_SCHED_OUTPUT
    XMLP_SCHED_SUBSCRIPTION
    I also created the new scheduling job based on new time. The issue is Clients are getting the emails in old time as well as new scheduling timel. I can see the new scheduling information in following table so no information of old scheduling time. How BI Publisher is still running the report on old time. I research a lot but still i am not able to find the place from where it is still sending the old emails. Can anyone please have any idea to resolve this?

    Did you delete the job schedule using the GUI first? Otherwise by manually deleting the records from XMLP_ tables
    may somehow have corrupted the scehduling option.
    There are other components for the scheduler which are not only saved in XMLP_ tables and these
    are the QUARTZ tables.
    As of release 11g there is not mechanism to manage BIP scheduler tables.

  • Restore Data from Previous Day

    I have my SQL Database Web Edition hosted on Azure, some stupid user deleted his data, how can I restore from previous day data?
    TIA
    SV

    Hi vai,
    According to your description, as Mekh’s post, Microsoft Azure SQL Database service has built-in backups to support self-service Point in Time Restore ,Geo-Restore, Point in Time Restore and Geo-Restore are enabled for Basic, Standard, and
    Premium service tiers.
    In a SQL Azure Web database, you need to create a backup, then it will restore and protect your data from application or users errors.
    There is an article about how to setup a backup and restore strategy for a Windows Azure SQL Database. You can review it.

  • Invoke scheduled job from client

    I would like to know your inputs on
    1. If XML Publisher 5.6.2 supports invoking scheduled jobs from client {Java program, web app}?
    I understand XMLP uses OpenSymphony Quartz library for scheduling.
    2. Can we start, stop job {e.g. using SchedulerFactory, Trigger etc.}?
    There is no mention about this in "User Guide".

    Hi Nishi, Vijay
    Im double checking with one of the developers on this ... will get back to you asap

  • Current day "shift starts from previous day" night 23:00 hours

    Hi Experts,
    I have a challenging scenario in Positive Time Management which is current day 1st shift time starts from previous day 23:00 hours (eg: previous day 23:00 to 07:00 current day).
    As per my knowledge in SAP Time Management, Shift start time is considered as current day, but for my scenario Shift End time has to consider as a current day.
    I couldnu2019t brought this shift forward to as 3rd shift because Production Incentives amounts and public holidays are computing based on previous day 23:00 hours.
    Points will be awarded for helpful solution.

    While you create a recod in the IT 2011 as you give
    next field you wil be having a field for previous day option if you choose that
    p20 for out time
    ex: 7:00 am i.e next day but still it will count for the current day

  • How to research a long running job from 3 days ago

    Re: How to research a long running job from 3 days ago
    Client called to say that a job that normally runs for 6 hours ran for 18 hours on 11/01. 11/01 was a Saturday, and end of month. The long running job writes to a log and I can from the log that that the problem started right around 10:43am. Every step
    before 10:43 was taking the normal amount of time. Then at 10:43 a step that takes seconds hung for 12 hours. After 12 hours the step finished and the job completed successfully.
    I looked at the SQL Log, Event Log, Job History (for all jobs). What else can I look at to try and resolve an issue that happened on 11/01/2014?

    It does execute an SSIS package.
    Personally I feel this as kind of bug in SSIS package but I am not expert in SSIS so I would move it to SSIS forum. Please update your question giving complete information what SSIS package does.

  • Cant delete active JOB from SM37

    Hi guys, i need to delete a job from sm37, when i try to do it the following msg is displayed.
    cant delete HR job, the job status is active.
    When a job is deleted, a check is made as to whether the job does not
    currently have the status 'active' of 'ready'. It would cause
    unquantifiable problems if a job with this status was deleted. This
    message indicates that the SAP system has already started the job to be
    deleted.
    any ideas?

    Hello,
    In SM37 try to stop the job before and if doing it you can't delete the job, go to transaction SM50 and try to stop it here (Process->Cancel withot core).
    Regards.

    3.how to delete all scheduled jobs
    4.how to delete sceduled job with with specific name.

    Hi,
    1.
    SELECT *
      FROM all_procedures;2.
    SELECT * FROM ALL_SCHEDULER_JOBS;
    SELECT * FROM ALL_SCHEDULER_PROGRAMS;3. (But I would not do this)
    BEGIN
       FOR rec IN (SELECT job_name
                     FROM user_scheduler_jobs)
       LOOP
          dbms_scheduler.drop_job(rec.job_name);
       END LOOP;
    END;4.
    DBMS_SCHEDULER.DROP_JOB;In general, If you need some dictionary view, but not sure what's it called, query the dictionary itself, Example;
    SELECT *
      FROM DICTIONARY
    WHERE table_name LIKE '%SCHEDU%';Regards

  • How to remove scheduled jobs from Control Center?

    Hi,
    My control center shows a bunch of jobs in the "scheduled" tab that no longer exist.
    They do not exist in Control Center and they also do not exist in the Design Center anymore.
    Is there a way I can delete entries from the list of schedule jobs?
    I am on OWB 10gR2
    Thanks,
    Sam
    PS, I saw this thread that talks about my problem. However the solution provided seems to only work if the jobs still exist
    in your control and design centers.

    Could it be that some process flows are still attached to a schedule? Perhaps you've made a copy of a Process Flow?

  • Deleteing report jobs from the queue

    OAS 9.0.2.0.0 on Win2K-sp4, Client Win2K-sp4.
    Many's the time a report job will hang up in the queue preventing other jobs from printing. Using the OEM, I can usually delete all the jobs, except the one that is "active, the one that is hanging up the queue. It always gives me an authentication error. I have tried every login/pw combo I can think of without success. I am always forced to restart OC4J_BI_Forms to dump the queue. Any suggestions?

    Thanks for the input.
    What I have done is create a new reports server/queue from the command line. It runs as a Windows process and can be restarted from there. Clunky, but I don't have to kill Forms everytime there's a queue hang up.

  • Watching BT Sport from previous day

    Morning,
    Totally new to this but thought I would try before ringing BT and appearing stupid!
    I can go on MyView and look at the previous days programmes and watch them without problem.
    However when I try to watch the rugby game on BT sport from the previous day which I missed it shows up but just says not available in the bottom left corner.  Is is not possible to watch such programmes?
    Many thanks for any help
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    I understand what you are saying but you have to remember YouView has only been around a year and BTTV only really since August (with their full weight behind it). Whereas Sky have been at this for a decade (and certainly make you pay for it). I personally think BTTV has made a fantastic start and fingers crossed over the next 12 months will really start to catch-up even more. Only time will tell.
    Like I say you may find the rugby will appear on the BT Vision player in a day or two but maybe someone with a better knowledge of the rugby might be able to confirm.
    P.S. as Skappy says I think this should be in the YouView section not the BT Vision.....

  • Could not schedule jobs from DB13

    Hi Experts,
                        yesterday we have changed the file permission in /oracle/<SID>/102_64 mount point in our production system.
    After changing i could not schedule any jobs from DB13 and i could not use <sidadm> user for taking the backup from sap.
    Now i am taking the backup through OS and Archive log copying also OS level.
    I have given the below command for changing the file permission.
    chmod -R 777 /oracle/TPR/102_64
    I think we changed the whole permission under the oracle/SID/102_64 mount point. its changing the full permission for Oracle related files.
    How i can revoke the same?
    Kindly advice.
    Regards,
    Sundar.C

    Hi,
    Please check you are able to run the backup from Brtools at os level.
    If yes then check the permission of the files in the sapmnt/SID/exe as mentioned below.
    -rwxr-xr-x   1 <SID>adm     sapsys     9652136 brrecover
    -rwxr-xr-x   1 <SID>adm     sapsys     3403504  brrestore
    -rwxr-xr-x   1 <SID>adm     sapsys     12771456  brspace
    -rwsrwxr-x   1 ora<SID>     dba        4962288 brtools
    -rwsrwxr-x   1 ora<SID>     dba        8910816 brarchive
    -rwsrwxr-x   1 ora<SID>     dba        9282832  brbackup
    -rwsrwxr-x   1 ora<SID>     dba        12419824 brconnect
    If you are not able to fire the backup from Brtools.
    then you need to get the file system restored as you change the permission of all the files by doing the chmod -R.
    or
    you can compare the permission with another sap server of same database and same patch level and then change the permission manually of all the directoried and files.
    did you stop the dtabase and then did the permission change if no then restart the server .it may be possible thet your database shall not come up.
    thanks

  • Get records from previous day to today

    hi
    i have 1 main table, table A, which has all the data .
    now i have table b which has previous day data and table c which has current data. i need to compare table a(each column)
    to each column in table b and c
    and need to find out rows that has been changed from yesterday to today and send that data.
    table B and table C doesnt have any date which say which date it got changed

    >> I have 1 main table, table A, which has all the data .<<
    What is a “main table”? I never used or heard that term. I am old, so I remember “main” or “master” tape files, however.
    No table should have all the data in a schema that has more than one relationship in it. Where is the DDL?
    >> now I have table b which has previous day data and table c which has current data <<
    NO! This design error is called “Attribute splitting” and it usually comes from programmers like you who are using SQL to write 1950's magnetic tape files. Would you have a “Male_Personnel” and a “Female_Personnel”  table or a “Personnel” table? Those
    two absurd tables were split on sex_code, just like you want to split this unknown data on a “<something>_date” attribute.
    >>  I need to compare table a(each column) to each column in table b and c and need to find out rows that has been changed from yesterday to today and send that data. <<
    No, you need to stop trying to write SQL until you know what you are doing. To track the history of, say, Foobars we need to see time as a continuum and model it as (begin_date, end_date) pairs that define when a foobar had a particular value. Here is the skeleton.
    CREATE TABLE Foobar_History
    (foo_id CHAR(9) NOT NULL,
     start_date DATE NOT NULL,
     end_date DATE, --null means current
     CHECK (start_date <= end_date),
     foo_status INTEGER NOT NULL,
     PRIMARY KEY (foo_id, start_date));
    When the end_date is NULL, that state of being is still current. You use a simple query for the status on any particular date;
    SELECT *
      FROM Foobar
     WHERE @in_cal_date
         BETWEEN start_date
          AND COALESCE (end_date, CURRENT_TIMESTAMP);
    There are more tricks in the DDL to prevent gaps, etc
    CREATE TABLE Events
    (event_id CHAR(10) NOT NULL,
     previous_event_end_date DATE NOT NULL
     CONSTRAINT Chained_Dates
      REFERENCES Events (event_end_date),
     event_start_date DATE NOT NULL,
     event_end_date DATE UNIQUE, -- null means event in progress
      PRIMARY KEY (event_id, event_start_date),
     CONSTRAINT Event_Order_Valid
      CHECK (event_start_date <= event_end_date),
     CONSTRAINT Chained_Dates
      CHECK (DATEADD(DAY, 1, previous_event_end_date) = event_start_date)
    -- CHECK (previous_event_end_date + INTERVAL '01' DAYS) = event_start_date)
    -- disable the Chained_Dates constraint
    ALTER TABLE Events NOCHECK CONSTRAINT Chained_Dates;
    GO
    -- insert a starter row
    INSERT INTO Events(event_id, previous_event_end_date, event_start_date, event_end_date)
    VALUES ('Foo Fest', '2010-01-01', '2010-01-02', '2010-01-05');
    GO
    -- enable the constraint in the table
    ALTER TABLE Events CHECK CONSTRAINT Chained_Dates;
    GO
    -- this works
    INSERT INTO Events(event_id, previous_event_end_date, event_start_date, event_end_date)
    VALUES ('Glob Week', '2010-01-05', '2010-01-06', '2010-01-10');
    -- this fails
    INSERT INTO Events(event_id, previous_event_end_date, event_start_date, event_end_date)
    VALUES ('Snoob', '2010-01-09', '2010-01-11', '2010-01-15');
