Deleted jobs do not appear in conversation - Outlook 2013

In conversation I see only mails which are in the Inbox, Sent or Draft folders, but don't see deleted mails.
the conversation setting is set for "Show messages from other folders"
What should I do? thanks

Hi,
I can confirm deleted items won't be involved when you are viewing conversations, even when
Show Messages from Other Folders has been selected. Outlook will consider deleted items are basically not needed when displaying conversations, currently we don't have a way to change this design.
As a workaround, we can only move deleted items in the Deleted Items folder to other folders. Thus Outlook will display all the parts of the conversations you need.

  • PR deleted line should not appear in PO creation

    Hi Folks!!!
We create Purchase Orders with reference to Purchase Requisition. In case of Multiple Line Item in PR, there are some line items marked for deletion.
While creating PO, the line items marked for deletion in PR should not be adopted (appeared) in PO. What settings should I make to do it.
    Best regards

    Hi,
In ME21N, you receive message 06 050 - "Purchase requisition & item &  already deleted".  This message can be changed to an error message via IMG transaction OME0.  The checks for the messages can only take place,
after adopting all positions (as well deleted ones).
To prevent this, please check to see if one of the following will help:
    1) Select the checkbox 'Open only' on the selection screen for the overview. In this case, the deleted items will not appear on
the overview and therefore they cannot be adopted. Or,
    2) If you do not want to have the purchase requisitions with deleted  items selected in ME21N, you can use the field "deletion indicator"  in the variant for your purchase requisitions, by excluding it in   the dynamic selections.
P.S. If you have maintained message 06 050 as E (error), the user will not able to save the PO (he can only hold it)

  • HT4053 How do I delete photos, the delete button does not appear to be working?

I have downloaded all my photos to my new IPad. I need to delete some I do not want, how do I do it. The delete button does not appear to be working?

I personally don't know of any other software that does syncing, however, you can use another cloud service like Dropbox or Flikr to house your photos, add and delete them and have them available for viewing on any device or comuter that has an internet connection.
I'm not sure why you would be having trouble not getting photos that you put into your Photo Stream Uploads folder on your iPad. Photo Stream is Photo Stream. Also, just so you know, photo management and Photo Stream have nothing to do with iTunes. Photo management on the computer is done through your photos folder and app (on a Mac, it's iPhoto). You only use iTunes to tell the sync process which items to retrieve and sync from that library. Photo Stream is completely independent of iTunes altogether.
If you want to get photos from a camera to your iPad without having to use a computer, get a camera connection kit which will allow you to physically hook the camera to the iPad, and to directly download the photos from the camera to the iPad.
You would still want to also hook the camera up to the computer to back those photos up to your photo library on your computer.
Also you might want to look into purchasing (for under $5) iPhoto for your iPad:
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/iphoto/id497786065?mt=8
Seems like you might benefit from talking to your local Apple Store about when they might have some sessions for learning photo management and sharing between your device and computer, because what you appear to be wanting to do is all do-able. I guess I'm just missing what your issue is. You can many things with photos on your iPad, however, your device will never be a substitue for your computer for backing up and managing your photos.
So, best of luck, I hope one of the suggestions above will help you to achieve what you are trying to do.
    Cheers,

  • ICloud 2.1.1 not working with Microsoft Outlook 2013?

HI, I needed some assistance from the experts here.
I just had my laptop reformatted and redownload & installed the latest version of iCloud 2.1.1 Control Panel for Windows & Microsoft Office 2013.
When I click on the buttom "Apply" to setup outlook for iCloud, i got this error message at Step 4 of 7. It keeps refreshing these 2 sentences "Downloading Contacts from iCloud" & "Uploading Contacts to iCloud" & eventually errored out with this error message "Your setup couldn't be started because of an unexpected error".
I checked my Microsoft Outlook 2013 & there is an iCloud Plug-In.
But clicking on the "Go Online" button doesn't do anything.
I used to be able to click on a "Go Online/Refresh" button in the past (with Microsoft Office 2007) and able to then synchronise new contacts in my outlook to iphone. But apparently, this doesn't work anymore.
Thereafter, I tried uninstalling iCloud 2.1.1 and reinstalling it again immediately (without rebooting my laptop) & the same error message occurs when i tried to setup outlook for iCloud. And the worst thing is now the "iCloud plug-in" disappear inside Microsoft Outlook 2013 totally.
I tried reading several threads and got confused.
Is iCloud 2.1.1 Control Panel for Windows not compatible with Microsoft Outlook 2013 yet?
Do I just have to wait for a new release from Apple or did i do something wrong in the installation of the softwares?
Aprpreciate the assistance from some experts here.

Well it's now the 14th and no replies, so have you sorted it.
I could not get Outlook 2013 working with the control panel, although was working it was saying it was not configured.
Worse still tried going back to Outlook 2007 and it did not want to know, in the end a disk image restore was required.
I will try Outlook 2013 again in a few months maybe.

  • Imessages do not appear in conversation only main menu

When I receive a text message and respond to it, if the sender sends another text, it does not appear in the on-going conversation. The "messages" arrow at the top of the screen (to the left of the sender's name) displays a number to indicate the person has sent a message, but then I have to click back on that to the main messages window to see the text. Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

Force-close the messages app: double-tap the home button, locate Messages in the list at the bottom, tap and hold it until it wiggles, tap to close it, finish by tapping the home button.  Now open messages and see if it works properly now.

  • AutoComplete not working properly in Outlook 2013

The AutoComplete List is a feature which displays suggestions for names and e-mail addresses as you begin to type them. These suggestions are possible matches from a list of names and e-mail addresses from the e-mail messages that you have
    sent.
AutoComplete is a convenient feature when we send an email message, if it suddenly stops working, it becomes a real pain to the sender. If you encountered this problem, you can use the steps below to troubleshoot it and make it work again.
    1. Check if the AutoComplete feature is turned on.
By default, the AutoComplete feature is enabled. If it isn’t working, of course the first thing to check is whether the feature is enabled. To check it, go to
File tab> Options > Mail, scroll down to the
Send Messages section and make sure the “Use Auto-Complete List to suggest names when typing in the To, CC, and Bcc lines” option is selected.
    2. Check if AutoComplete works in OWA
Since Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013 doesn’t store nicknames in .NK2 file, it stores the autocomplete cache in the user’s mailbox and caches to a local cache file. So, the OWA uses the same autocomplete list, we can log into OWA and check if AutoComplete
    works.
If it works in OWA, it means the autocomplete list is OK. The problem lies in the Outlook client side. If the autocomplete doesn’t even work in OWA, the autocomplete list could be corrupt.
    3. An Add-in may cause AutoComplete to not work correctly.
Problematic add-in may cause a number of issues in Outlook. If an add-in cause Outlook to crash, the AutoComplete lists could be affected and become corrupt.
To determine if a problematic add-in is the culprit, go to File > Options > Add-ins, disable all add-ins and then check if the problem continues. If the problem is gone with all add-in disabled, we can try re-enabling add-ins one-by-one to isolate
    the problematic add-in:
    (1) Start Outlook.
    (2) On the File tab, click Options,
    then click Add-Ins.
    (3) In the bottom of the Outlook Options dialog box, make sure the
Manage drop-down shows COM Add-ins, and then click
    Go.
    (4) In the COM Add-Ins dialog box, select to enable an add-in and then click
    OK.
    (5) Repeat step 4 until you have all of the required Outlook functionality and Outlook remains stable.
If Outlook becomes unstable after re-enabling a particular COM add-in, disable that COM add-in and then contact the add-in vendor to see if they have an updated version that is more stable with Outlook.
For detailed steps about this, you can refer to the following KB article and look at the “Re-enabling COM add-ins one-by-one” section.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2934538
    4. Reset the AutoComplete list.
If AutoComplete is enabled but still not working in OWA, it could be that the corruption within the AutoComplete list is causing auto-complete not to work correctly. You’ll need to manually delete the AutoComplete list to fix the issue.
Note: You will lose all addresses stored in AutoComplete.
If there is only one or several AutoComplete entries are corrupt, we can remove them by clicking ‘X’ or pressing
    Delete key.
If all entries are corrupt, we can use one of the following two methods to delete the AutoComplete lists:
Method 1: Use the Empty Auto-complete List button.
    1. Open Outlook.
    2. On the File tab, click Options > Mail
    tab.
    3. Under Send Messages, click Empty Auto-Complete List.
It’s also recommended to untick the “Use Auto-Complete List to suggest names when typing in the To, Cc, and Bcc lines”.
    4.  Restart Outlook and tick the “Use Auto-Complete List to suggest names when typing in the To, Cc, and Bcc lines” box again.
    Test if the issue persists.
Method 2: Use the /CleanAutoCompleteCache switch.
    1. Exit Outlook.
    2. Press Windows key + R to open the Run command.
    3. Type Outlook.exe /CleanAutoCompleteCache in the Run box and press
    Enter.
    5. Reach the maximum number of AutoComplete entries
Outlook limits the number of entries that you can save in the AutoComplete list. If you find some names unexpectedly removed from your autocomplete list, you may consider this situation.
Outlook 2013 has a limit of 1000 entries for the AutoComplete list. After you reach this limit, Outlook uses an internal algorithm to determine the best names to remove from the list. It does this based on a usage weighting. To avoid
this situation, you can use one of the following two methods:
Method 1: You can manually remove some AutoComplete entries that you no longer use. We can remove them by clicking ‘X’ or pressing
Delete key as we mentioned in portion 4.
Method 2: You can change the limit for the AutoComplete list by modifying the registry.
Because this configuration is untested, we do not recommended it. If you have a larger AutoComplete list, you could also lose a larger number of cached entries if your AutoComplete cache becomes unusable because of corruption. Given this disclaimer,
you can use the following registry data to increase the AutoComplete list limit in Outlook.
Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these
steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it.
    1. Exit Outlook.
    2. Start Registry Editor. Press the Windows key, type regedit and then press
    Enter.
    3. Add the following value:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook\AutoNameCheck
    DWORD: MaxNickNames
    Value: Type the number in
    decimal form.
Note: Try increasing the limit by only a marginal amount to test the new limit. For example, to create a 20 percent increase in the limit in Outlook 2013, you would specify 1200 for the
    MaxNickNames value.
    4. Exit Registry Editor and restart Outlook.
    More information
To avoid the risk of losing your AutoComplete list entries, it’s recommended to back up them regularly. In Outlook 2013, the AutoComplete list entries are stored in a hidden message in your default message store. To back up the entries, please follow
    these steps:
    1. Exit Outlook, and then close Outlook Web Access or Outlook Web App (OWA) on all workstations that are connected to your mailbox.
    2. Download and install MFCMAPI here:
    http://mfcmapi.codeplex.com
    3. Run mfcmapi.exe.
    4. Click Session > Logon.
    5. Select your profile, and then click OK.
    6. Select the data file that use your email address as the filename, and then double-click it.
    7. Expand Root Mailbox, and then expand IPM_SUBTREE.
    8. Find Inbox and right-click on it, and then click Open Associated Content Table.
    9. In the newly opened MFCMAPI window, under the Subject column, right-click the item that has the subject
IPM.Configuration.Autocomplete, and then click Export Message.
    10. In the Save Message To File window, select
MSG file (UNICODE) from the drop-down list, and then click
    OK.
    11. Select a folder location to which you want to save the message, and then click
    Save.

  • Can send but not receive mail in outlook 2013

I just started to have the same issue. I have multiple PC's all running outlook 2013 and one of them just stopped receiving mail.
The others work fine, and yeah I check that it is set to receive mail in the options, along with many other typical tasks  like dissabling the av.
This is on WIN 7 pro.
I have uninstalled office. Deleted my ost and pst. Reinstalled office and re-created my mail account.  Same issue. There must be some other setting in my profile or registry that is persisting
I am about to go back to Office 2010, I have already gone back to Win 7 after a terrible experience with 8.1 and its media centre licence issue and lack of driver support (which worked under WIN 8!!).
Seriously Microsoft! Do you just hate people?

    Hi,
What is the account type? Exchange, IMAP or POP3? Is it working fine to receive emails on Webmail(OWA)? It is preferred if you could provide any error code/message.
The first thing that should be checked up is if the account has been setup properly, you may need to contact your ISP(Internet Service Provider) to get the information you need to setup the account.
If you press Send/Receive All Folders button, can you get new messages? Please go to
    SEND/RECEIVE tab -> Send/Receive Groups ->
Define Send/Receive Groups -> For All Accounts, under
Setting for group "All Accounts", set Schedule an automatic send/receive every "X" minutes, we can set
    X as you need.
Please create a new profile to test if the issue persists:

  • Notes are blank in Outlook 2013 after updating the note in IOS 8

    The setup:
On my computer, Windows 7 and Outlook 2013 (Exchange 2013 on the server side).
I create a new note and close it. I can open it, modify it, and everything works as expected.
On my iPhone 6 with IOS 8.0.2, I go into the same note. Everything looks fine. If I modify it and close it, I can open it and everything looks fine.
Now the issue...When I go back to Outlook on my PC and open the same note (subject/title shows in the list view), the note is completely blank.
So, I go back to my phone and everything still looks ok. If I type in the now blank note on the PC, it overwrites the old note contents.
To make all this even stranger, if I log into OWA, the note is there and works fine through this entire process (well, until I overwrite the contents). But, in OWA, it seems to strip out the subject on certain saves.
I tried all this on another laptop I have lying around and get the same results. I tried a new profile. I tried safe mode. All the same.
This leads me to believe that Outlook 2013 has issues displaying notes. If OWA has the correct info, then the server has the correct info.
Does anyone else have this issue or can try to replicate the issue? Any suggestions on fixing it?
    (Original post
    here)

See if you are hitting the issue mentioned in the article -> http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/2980834/en-us?sd=rss&spid=16662&wa=wsignin1.0
If yes, the fix is with Exchange Server 2013 CU6.

  • Reminders are not created in Calendar, Outlook 2013

I am having the same issue many others are reporting.  Under Calendar options I have it set to default to 30 minutes when creating a new meeting.  However, when I create a new meeting request the default is zero.  I can manually change it
to what ever value I want.  There is a BUG in the software!  I cannot believe this software is being released to the general public in a few weeks. Outlook 2013, Windows 7 Pro.
The reminders go off as they are supposed.  Microsoft please fix this ASAP.

I am in agreement that this question is answered.  Can't link due to low points, but the responses of Microsoft employees on the threads of this forum I have seen are clear in that Outlook 2013 is functioning as intended with regards to this feature.
If it were not, then I would agree it is a bug.  It is at most a design choice that some disagree with, and luckily Microsoft is receptive to user opinions (such as on the uservoice website.)  I can imagine some people may feel it would be best
to be consistent and honor the default event time, and the default reminder time calculated off of that even when added in month view.  I also can see the perceived advantage to the current behavior in 2013.
It adds an all-day event by default when you add an event in Month view. It does this regardless of what your default event time and default event reminder is set.
A user can't even see all the times of the events in a day in month view.  Because of this, perhaps the engineers assumed that most people adding events with specific times would like to know the context of when the other day's events are and would
switch to day, week, or workweek view prior to adding the time-specific event.  Leaving all events set to the default time of 5:00 PM with a 15 minute reminder would give you a deluge of reminders at 4:45 PM arbitrarily.
The good thing is it only adds a couple of seconds to deselect all-day and choose a reminder time when adding an event from month view.

  • Problem appearing olders emails outlook 2013 with Exchange 2007 SP2

    hi everyone,
recently i have problem with user mailbox OST more than 20 Gb (configured with outlook 2013 and exchange 2007 SP2 ) and if i scroll down in the olders mails in the Inbox Folder it's stoped in 2011 but i have more than this year ! i tried to add regedit keys
such as Maxlargesize... and no changes and tried also with exporting this ost to PST  File (i proceed with computer 32 bits ....) and always stop in 2011
Please if you have ideas to resolve this
    best regards
    vote if you think useful

    Hi,
OST file is a local copy of your email messages, calendar, and other items that are on the Exchange server, it is always synchronized with the items on the server. So, the first thing we need to check is to login to OWA and check if you can see older
    emails from there.
If you can't see the old email from OWA, it means the emails are removed from the server. In this case, you'll need to contact your Exchange admin to see if your old emails are archived. We can also check if you have enabled AutoArchive feature in your Outlook,
which may move your emails from your OST file to a local PST file. See:
    https://support.microsoft.com/kb/830119?wa=wsignin1.0
If you can see the old emails from OWA, your OST file may be corrupt. We can exit Outlook, find the .OST file and rename it to .old, and then restart Outlook to let it sync a new one. By default, the OST file are save in:
    drive:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook
Please let me know the result.
