Deleting an ICloud account when ICloud still uses the old Apple ID as the email associated with the old Id is no longer active.

I have had to change the email adddress and Apple ID. However the the ICloud account is still refering to the old Apple ID but the pasword has been forgotten.
I have tried deleting the Icloud account but the sign in to icloud sign keeps on coming up when I try and delete the account. Can anybody help?

Just authorize the computer and retreive them.

FYI: you should have simply updated the AppleID with new info and continued to use it instead of creating a new one.

Are you trying to change the Apple ID associated with your iCloud account? If so, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the new ID. This deletes the account and your iCloud data from your device, but not from iCloud. Provided you are signing back into the same account, your iCloud data will reappear on your device when you sign back in.
To avoid losing photo stream photos, save them to your camera roll (if not already there) before deleting the account. To do this, open your my photo stream album, tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, then tap Save to Camera Roll.

Maybe he's referring to renaming another iTunes Store account after making the email address null and available to be used. Otherwise, I agree with you that it is pointless.

The Facebook app on my iPad will not let me access my account. I was recently married so my Facebook name changed and I updated my password. Now when I go into Facebook under settings and try to access my account it is still using the old name.

I got married, changed my Facebook name and gave my account a new password. Now, under settings and Facebook they have my ITunes/Apple ID and under it says "please sign in using (my old Facebook name) and under that is password. Only that old Facebook name has changed but did not update on my iPad settings. Also it will not accept my new password. I cannot erase it. If Apple doesnt want us to use more than one account, what do we do in this situation? Or if our Facebook gets hacked and becomes compromised? This is not okay. I have to be able to access this and because it will accept only one and will not update changes I cannot longer access my account. I buy a lot of Apple products. I won't buy another if it's not corrected. This is horribly frustrating. Not to mention waiting on youtube videos to load is almost as bad as waiting on dial-up. But that's another matter. You need to reset the password for the "old" account, and then use that to turn off iCloud. Then you will be able to sign in with your new ID.
You can reset your password at iForgot.apple.com.
If you don't know the answers to the security questions, you will need to start there.

Sorry the account feature is irrelevant.. You do not want to use it.. you can migrate your data to your computer.. The account feature is not needed, required, useful or anything to do with restoring your files..
You use account access to stop everybody being able to see your files.. the problem is.. it is not itself secure.. so if i get hold of your TC I can delete your accounts with a soft reset and access all your files.. so it is useless.. don't bother using it.. ignore it.. !!
If you wish to have secure backups use the Time Machine Encrypt backup feature.

Yes. In settings, FaceTime, just add an email. Email acts as a phone number. When you place a call to the other ipad, just make sure it's to that email.

To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iDevice, then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, and your old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

No it's not stealing. They have an allowance that you can share with so many computers/devices. You'll have to authorize her computer to play/use anything bought on your acct. You can do this under the Store menu at top when iTunes is open on her computer.
As far as getting it all on her computer....I think but I am not sure (because I don't use the feature) but I think if you turn on Home Sharing in iTunes it may copy the music to her computer. I don't know maybe it just streams it. If nothing else you can sign into your acct on her computer and download it all to her computer from the cloud. Not sure exactly how to go about that, I haven't had to do that yet. I wonder if once you authorize her computer and then set it up for automatic downloads (under Edit>Preferences>Store) if everything would download. Sorry I'm not much help on that.

While this might seem like a small thing, I find it very annoying. Based on the article I read, safari tabs delete themselves after 7 days if you're not using the device anymore. You have to sign out completely and then sign back in.
On a Mac, System Preferences>iCloud and click 'Sign out'.
On an iOS device, Settings>iCloud and click 'Delete account' (this will not delete the account from the server).
Your synced data will disappear from your devices when you sign out, but reappear when you sign back in (give it time).

Having the email address is not necessary. It is just the username for the device. All you need is that Apple ID and password. Now, if you forgotten the password, then you have more work to do. Since that email is no longer active, you would need to send the reset to your rescue email, if you remember that. Or you will need to contact Apple Security for help. Logout (System Preferences>iCloud) then login with the new address and password.

For all Users...I just fixed mine and am now able to log on.
Yesterday there was a Quick Time update to 7.3.1 that fixed a security issue that was allowing access to your computers. I thought that my auto update would install this and it didn't. I had to manually download from apple and install the update.

I used the "with iTunes" version and now I can log into my account with out the "null" error appearing.
This was pointed out to my by QuickDraw so he gets all of the credit.
