Deleting cost Center.

Hello All,
I want to delete few cost centers. these were reated before Go-live , but now the user staes that they will not be required and can be deleted. No Transactional data has been recorded against the same. the problem that i face while deleting the Cost center when i run the deletion in Test mode using transaction KS04. it says that " Deletion not possible (usage is in table T811C) "
How do i solve this problem

In cost center Master Data, KS03, with your cost center, enter the page and then through the following -
On the Title Bar - Environment - Where Used List - Fixed Assets
It would show, if assets are assigned, the number and details of the assets.
In the same way check your cost center and its environment.
I tried using a cost center which had assets and it wouldn't delete as values (Fixed Assets) were registered with it.
Moreover, the Table T811C and its details can be checked in SE11. The blue highlighted are the fields which have values in your cost center.

while using KS04 transaction , if user deletes any cost center , the cost center is to be populated in that report ,
main requirement is to fetch data of deleted cost center in the hierarchy
but the main problem is that when i delete the cost center , the detials in CSKS table will automatically deleted

WF_Batch id deletes cost center from euipment master data - IE02

hi guys,
how to trace this.. we have checked some of our equipment master data that wf_batch id has deleted its cost center..how can we work from this..how to trace which programs/function did it.. is it purely coming from workflow ?

there is an error, should be:
Loop at it_tab.
refresh it_cost.
or:
'BAPI_COSTCENTER_CREATEMULTIPLE'
should be outside loop it_tab....

How to delete cost center - KS04

Hi,
we need to delete the current cost centers however we can not do it due to the fact thar records available in table COKA.
In order to get rid of this problem we have tried to change the valid through date as, for example, 01.01.2011 - 31.12.9999 and tried to delete with these values and got the message cost center can be deleted, KS04, but how to delete it?
i looked for a butto etc to delete the cc but could not find any.
All heplful answers will be appreciated.

I executed the test run in KS04. I can't delete the cost center as it already has posting till period 07/30/2008. ( I had mentioned this before as well)
Is it that I'll have to wait till the end of the validity period to delete the cost center? If yes, then do I have to change the validity to say todays date and then delete it?
The postings to this cost center have stopped since August. No one posts to this cost center. So I guess there is no need to block the postings.

Edit: The cost center is already blocked against postings.

Is there any BAPI or BDC way to do it? or just a simple Delete from database?
Is there master table where all cost center group are being stored?

Cost Center Groups can be deleted using the Message Type COGRP1.
Please populate the Message Function (MSGFN) as '003' in the Segment E1COGH
Please make use of the required logic from the report RGSALECC inorder to create Idocs for the same.

Deletion not possible (usage is in table AUFK)
Deletion not possible (usage is in table ANLZ)
Deletion not possible (usage is in table COBRB)

Cost Center overlapping

Hi,
We have created one Cost Center AAA under production group. Before post the documents we have deleted AAA cost center. It is showing Red Mark symbol in OKEON(Cost Center Standard Heirarchy). After we have created AAA(same code deleted cost center) cost center under Research Group. When we save the cost center master data, it is showing under Production group and Research group in activation mode of OKEON(CCH). We have posted some documents to this cost center.
Now we want to create the new group under CCH. But the system showing the below error
Inserting of the object (Cost Center Group: HOLDINGS) is not possible
     Message no. OH021
Diagnosis
     Inserting object (Cost Center Group: HOLDINGS) is not possible. The
     object contains values/intervals that would lead to overlaps with
     already existing values/intervals.
Procedure
     If you still want to insert the object, you have to make sure that the
     join of sets of the values/intervals is unique. Before you insert,
     change object HOLDINGS or the object you are processing.

Holding CC group not created. When we open the OKEON in Extras option and select the Ambiguity check. The following message showing.
Values occuring more than once:
Overlapping area>Included in Group>Row>Description
ATR - ATR>RODUCTION> <003> > Production Cost center Group
                  RESEARCH > <001> >Research Cost center Group

Function modules or BAPI for deleting plan costs on a cost center

Hi all,
I search for a function module or bapi to delete plan costs / activity on a cost center.
At the moment I update the planning with 0, but that cause a mass of needles entries on the cost centers.
For check and posting I use the function group 6026 - BAPI_COSTACTPLN_* ,
but there is no function for deleting.
Has anyone an idea?

How to delete the cost center line item data of particular cost center and only one cost center is exisiting for that company code.
Is there any way to delete the line items in that cost center.
Can data archiving & deleting can help us..........
does it have any effect over other cost center data....

Archiving & Deleting the Cost center line items

My requirement is to delete the line items in the cost cneter as of today, but when i tried to archive & delete the Cost center line items using CO_item,i aam sucesfull in deleteing the past data, but the data of the last month and currenct month i was unable to ........
when i tried in the spro>img>controlling>general ontrolling>archiving>prepare archiving for co line items
i set the resident time to 0,but i was unable to delete the line items.what colud be the reason and what is the way to delete the currenct data also from the system.

I think SAP help says that the period for which you are planning to delete or archive data may have to be locked.

Cost center plannig data was deleted in production client

Hi All Please look into below problem.
2008 GP1 cost center planning data(KP06) that is entered in SAP Version 1 and 3 and assessed with planning assessment cycles has been mysteriously deleted from SAP. The data is entered and re-enterd every month. There are no line items in GP1. The data is in GB2 to prove it was in GP1 when a snapshot of GP1 was taken to refresh GB2. We need a root cause analysis. Screen shots of GP1 and GB2 are attached for one cost center as an example
Please let me know your opinions and thougts.
While i am executing KP06.in Assurance i am getting Actual and planned costs values, but the same one while i execute in production values are displaying in Actual costs not displayed in plaaned cost.

Hi,
"deletion" of CO plan data is possible but not "mysteriously...
Just copy an empty plan/actual version to a plan version containing plan data.
T-Codes: KP97 or KP98, the important thing is, the source version needs to be empty, copy "all data" and flag "reset and overwrite".
Pls. ensure that this T-Codes are not executed by mistake.
