Deleting last, next 'create' creates non-empty row

I have been struggling with this for some hours now.
I have a table component binded to a VO, based on a EO.
I have two buttons added to the page. A "CreateInsert" button and a "Delete" button. The delete-button has immediate = true, bc some of the values are required.
The inputfield on each row are editable and have autosubmit = true
If I:
1. Create a row
2. Edit the row's attributes
3. Delete the row
4. Create a row
then the row that I deleted in step 3 shows up in step 4.
I have also tried to commiting the data (between 2 and 3, and between 3 and 4).
This only happens if the deleted row is the last row left in the set (iter.getEstimatedRowCount() = 1 before the delete action)
BUT! If I set immediate = false on the delete-button, the create / delete works as expected.
I'm running JDeveloper 11.1.1.5
The iterator has the ChangeEventPolicy attribute set to 'ppr'
The delete action has the RequiresUpdateModel set to 'false' - Action is set to 'removeCurrentRow'
The create action has the RequiresUpdateModel set to 'true' - Action is set to 'createInsert'

it never happens as you said in jdev11.1.1.5.0.
by default, both of the buttons having immdieate is should be false. so no need to disturb that.
if you are going to disturb the oracle standard means what it would be reason?
hen the row that I deleted in step 3 shows up in step 4.from here i understood what i understood means you get deleted row when you click create insert button if am getting you right?
this will be my answer:
you make that createinsert immidieate is true. if so means you could get this behavoiur as you said.

    I face some problem to create empty row. I need a empty row to show user that is end of operation.
    The output that I need as below.

    all of the null column from row 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7 is direct select from table. The row 3 is what I want to create. example A100 is same group with B100. After show last B100, is end of operation '100'. and need a empty or null row. Then continue with operation '200'.

    Not sure how you would be doing your processing.
    However assuming if you are doing it one after the other, meanig you first process 100 display it (here is where you want to append 200 now)
    here is one way of doing it.

    You can create these buttons and can write your logic to query the required records, there is no such standard things provide by OA framework for this all these are custom so just create forur buttons with name as first, last nest and prev and write logic to fetch the first, last, next and previous records.
    you can make use of setCurrentRow method first set first record as current record and it will be displayed on your page after this on click of next button set next row as current row so it will display the next row on the page.
    For previous button again get previous row and set it as previous row and for lst button set last row as current row.
    I hope this is very simple to implement, let me know if anything you want to know.

  • How can I create an empty row on a #TempTable based on an input parameter

    So if my Line of Business is 'MC' or 'MG', I have to go over to Oracle and get its data accordingly. Then, when I create my final report result set, I think I'll want to UNION in that result set if my Parameter is 'MC' or 'MG'. I don't think I can UNION
    based on the value of the Parameter. So my thought process was to create an empty row on my #TempTable so when I UNION and my parameter is NOT 'MC' or 'MG' then it will have nothing to UNION in. My struggle is how do I create an empty row in my #TempTable

    If I add an ELSE, it always comes back and tells me the #TempTable_Market_Prominence_Member_Data already exists. As if it's creating it regardless of the Top IF.

    The error came back from your ELSE Statement most probably caused by the reason mentioned in Hoffmann's post.

    Explicitly creating the temp table will offer below benefit in this case.
    The ELSE statement is no longer needed, if the no rows get inserted into that table, it has nothing to union an empty table.
    With the column datatype defined, you can avoid such conversion error

    The fields in row are mandatory.
    So if user cliaks on add another ro, so new row gets added, but suppose he doesnt enter any data then it gives error on submit button, saying"fileds are mandatory".
    Is there anyway by which user can delete the row created by "Add another Row".

    Actually I want to remove the row where user has not entered any data.
    As the some of the fields are mandatory, so when user clicks on submit button, it throws error that please enter values for mnadtory fields. I want to remove this validation for the row where user has not entered any data.

  • How can i use row set iterator to create multiple dummy detail rows upfront

    Hello i am new to ADF and jdeveloper and have a Forms 9i/PLSQL background.
    I have a 1 to many master to detail view link and 2 vo's one for each of the master and detail table.
    I am trying unsuccsessfully to create 7 unique detail rows up front to populate at a later stage.
    I have created a master record with primary key being staff number and week ending date.
    i then use code below to try and create 7 detail records - P.S i have trimmed it to the first 2 for demonstration.
    I am using

    However it does create two rows but it always writes over the first row with the details of the second row so they are not unique.

    I have tried the following and still i get 2 rows created but the first one gets overwritten with the last one. I'm confused as to why the inbuilt insert row doesnt move it on to the next available row. Any idea what i'm not doing in between inserting rows?

  • Aperture keeps creating a new empty library in my Pictures folder

    Hi, I am a noob with Aperture, so forgive me if this seems like a stupid question. I have searched through the manual, threads here and Apples help pages but have not found my problem described or my question addressed.
    First the problem:
    I have set preferences in Aperture to set up and point to the Library on my External Firewire Drive. I exited as instructed and went back in the program and my new library came up without issue. I was able to import files from camera, iphoto, and some from files relatively easily and created new projects for them w/o much trouble. I closed the program and did not use it until the next day.
    When I opened the Aperture from the dock the next day, a BLANK library greeted me pointing to my picture folder of my Mac user account. Sure enough I opened my pictures folder under my user account on the finder and there is a brand new Aperture library without any files in it. I checked my Firewire hard drive and (thankfully) the Aperture library I created there is still intact. When I clicked on the aperture library icon in my firewire drive, the program opened with my library listed. I then closed it, opened Aperture from the dock again and it opened to my firewire's drive library again...
    So now I'm thinking this must have been a weird glitch. I deleted the Aperture library in my pictures folder on my user account and thought that would be that as the program continued to perform well all day...opening my created library when I opened from the dock each time...
    Then, again the next day, I open Aperture and am greeted with a blank library...again pointing at my picture folder in my user account...sure enough the Aperture library icon is back in my pictures folder!
    Does anybody know why this keeps happening. I want the default library to be the one I created on my firewire drive, but it keeps creating a new empty library in my user account picture folder, and defaulting to that when starting the program from the dock.
    I am the only user account on this computer and the only person using the Aperture program.
    Short of creating a desktop shortcut to my wanted firewire drive library and starting Aperture that way, is there any other workaround...as the blank library in my pictures folder keeps coming back even if I delete it.
    Now the question:
    If I want to create 2 different Aperture libraries (not 2 projects, but 2 distinct libraries) on my firewire drive, is there any way to access one then switch to another within the main program without having to go all the way out and start up by selecting the icon from the wanted one to do so?

    The setting is in Aperture-->Preferences. Just select the library you want to use, then exit the Prefs. Quit Aperture. Relaunch. It will use the library you selected.
    If you double clicked on a library to open Aperture, it will make that setting in Prefs for you so the next time it should open that library again (assuming it's available at the time, not sleeping as externals often do).

  • Button to delete all empty rows

    I am in the process of creating an interactive form that has a button that add rows for the user to input issues and another button to add follow-ups to those instances. There are 3 different sets of these. However, we do not want to add a delete button to all rows, to allow for accidental deletion of already inputted data.  I would like to create a button that will delete all empty rows, including all subforms.  Either that, or upon saving the document, all empty rows would be deleted - whichever would be easier. Please help!  This seems like it will be a complicated task and I am not that well versed in LiveCycle to be able to figure this out on my own.

    I've seen something like same but it doesn't work for me. I have a table which is created using xml rules, some time it contains empty xml tag also converted into row but I don't want these empty rows. After table creation empty rows need to be deleted.

    I added logic to add 10 empty rows and to delete the empty rows when the form is submitted. But somehow it only deletes the rows in current screen of the Advanced Table. if there are 15 rows and I click next to go the last 5 and submit the form it deletes only the 5 empty rows but not the other 10 rows in the previous section.

    I want to insert master and detail together on same page in create mode.
    I have these settings:

    - Detail Layout: Table

    When I Generate and run Application and click New Button, my detail table don't have any New Button.

    But I don't want multi-insert row be enabled(because of some logical reasons that forced by my scenario).
    If I enable multi-insert row, even without "new row button" and just set "new row = 1", when user insert first row and click save button, one more empty row automatically add to detail table. I don't want this behavior. I want only one empty row for my detail table in create mode.
