Deleting selected data from an Infocube in BW using ABAP program?

Hi Everybody,
I have to create a ABAP program in SE38 which, on execution will delete selected data from a Cube in BW module. How to achieve it. Is there any function module that can do so? Eagerly waiting for your suggestions.

select the records from the cube or ods and put in to one internal table.
and then u can delete the records

Other than two parameters I_INFOCUBE, I_SHOW_REPORT do i need to pass any value to the table I_T_SELTAB.

Deleting data from an infocube

If I want to delete the data from an infocube before I carry out a load as part of the daily load can I do this and if so how would I do this? Thanks

IP1 - Infopackage - Datatargets - Automatic loading of similar or identical requests - Select Deleting Existing Requests - Flag Full or Initial Load - Flag Datasources are same - Selections Are " Same or Comprehensive " - Save .
Delete Overlapping Requests from InfoCube* - In this process type - Object Type - Execute Infopackage - Select the one in use for Full with the Tech name - Click on Deletion Selections at the bottom - Set the same selections as in the Infopackage.

Selective deletion of data from ODS

I need to delete selectively data from an ODS. I know that I have the option of selective deltionin cube. But how can I delete them in ODS?

In ODS > right click > Manage on the Contents tab you also have the option of Selective Delete...were you looking for something else?

Error deleting data from an InfoCube

hi, all,
i try to delete all data from an InfoCube. All the /BIC/D* tables was deleted and recreated, but the /BIC/F*-Table cann not be deleted - Error-Message:
"Database table /BIC/FZPCA_C01 could not be deleted or recreated
Message no. R7861"
The SAP-Note 745742 doesn't help - tere is SP-Level 13.
Any Idea?

I got the same error meassage when I tried to delete data in my infocube.
1. I typed TC:SE14
2. Entered the name of the infocube fact table.
3. Checked the delete data radiobutton and clicked the 'Activate and adjust database' .
And the data in the fact table was deleted

How to delete master data from InfoObject

Hello,
Can anyone give me an advice for the following problem :
160 employees have been deleted from R/3 but still exist in BW.
I am searching a way to delete them in BW but I have the following problem :
- selective deletion in InfoCubes and ODS is OK
- when I try to delete them in 0EMPLOYEE , I received the message
"master data xxxxxxxx (SID xxxxxxxx) is used in BI0/QPERSON and therefore can't be deleted.
The reason is that 0PERSON is an attribute of 0EMPLOYEE and vice versa.
No records in R/3 exist for those employee.
Any idea how can I delete them in BW in 0EMPLOYEE and 0PERSON ?

1. delete the data from all infocubes and ODS's, where the infoobject is available.
then the masterdata isn't in use. all SID's should be deleted from the dimension tables.
Now you can delete the masterdata with the AdminWorkbench.
2. delete the employees from 0EMPLOYEE.
3. delete the employees from 0PERSON.
you can also try the function: archive.

RSMO > Infocube > Manage > contents tab > selective deletion
Then define your selections for deletions (Matrial Id or particular Customer ID (say C400)).
Request based deletions can be done directly from Request tab.

Error while deleting the data from DSO

Hi Experts
I am getting the ABAP Dumps when I am trying to delete the data from the DSO Objects in my Systems.
"    An entry was to be entered into the table
     "\FUNCTION=RSAR_ODS_GET\DATA=L_TH_ISOSMAP" (which should have
    had a unique table key (UNIQUE KEY)).
    However, there already existed a line with an identical key.
The insert-operation could have ocurred as a result of an INSERT- or
    MOVE command, or in conjunction with a SELECT ... INTO.
The statement "INSERT INITIAL LINE ..." cannot be used to insert several
     initial lines into a table with a unique key.     "
I have tried with multiple DSO's and Have the same issue. Please need your suggestions.

I think in the ODS setting Unique Data Records checkbox is ticked........if so.........The DataStore object can be used for loading unique data records...........If the loaded request does contain data that is already in the DataStore object, activation of the request will lead to an error.
Find the request in SE16>>RSICCONT table .........and try to delete there....it may work........

If data is loaded into an InfoCube, or existing data is edited (aggregated/compressed/deleted/got from a DataMart), then there is a change in the potential reportability of the data , or the possibility of deleting data by request, or of aggregating or compressing.
This status of each one of these Cubes is stored in a status table, that is updated when there is any change to the status of a request in the Cube.
The system now analyzes the requests in the Cube and compares the calculated status with the status table.
If deviations from the status table arise then you are given the option of adjusting the status table.

Did you tried by right click on cube and delete data? are those requests are compressed or roll up?

How to delete some data from GLPCA table

Please check the use of the report ZDELETE_PCA_DATA_BUKRS (mentioned in the SAP note 1174360), to delete totals from GLPCT.
I am not sure of any deletion reports for GLPCA table.
If you open the Source code of this program, you can see the following information :
"This report provides a possibility to delete actual and plan
*& postings on company code level as an alternative for transaction
*& 0KE1."
I do not have much information on this report as, personally I haven't used this anytime. Please run in 'Test Run' mode first and look for the results.

Select data from table where field is initial

I have table that has 10 million records.
I want to select data from this table where certain date field is blank.
*SELECT * FROM table*
INTO TABLE internal table
WHERE PSTNG_DATE = BLANK.
Does anybody know how to select data from data base table when certain field is blank.
I cont select all data once and delete which i dont want, the table is big, it will blow up app server.

Setting button property after selecting data from list

I am not able to set the button property after selecting data from list.
I would like to say that
* If a user select an item from list, then user is only allowed to update or delete the data. The update and delete button should be enabled and save button should be disabled.
* If the users types data manually, then user is allowed only to save this as new entry. The update or delete button at this time should be disabled and only save button should be enabled.
I want to say that
In both case, value will be there
In one case, value will be from list and that is available for update or delete
in another case, value will be typed from keyboard that is available for save(new entry).
I do not want to use separate form for update/delete/save new record. I want to use single form for all these operations.
I am using Form 6i and oracle 8
Please guide me, I am trying to find this answer for last four days, but could not find the answer. Please help me. Waiting for you reply...

But bydefault list is called by pressing F9 key. Then where the parameter be set to 'YES' .
