Deleting selected thumbnails without deleting slideshow images

Thank for your responses in advance. I'd like to create a slideshow in adobe muse, but only show selected thumbnails to direct me to specific images within the slideshow. When I delete a thumbnail then my larger slideshow image deletes as well. I don't want that to happen. I have all my portfolio images on one slideshow, but I don't want thumbnails for every image, just the first image of each project. Is this possible in Muse? Thanks!

Hello,
I have a workaround for the same.
1. Please Select the thumbnail that you want to be invisible.
2. Double click on the thumbnail so that the "thumbnail image" is selected.
3. Drag and Drop the image outside the Slideshow.
4. Place an invisible rectangle over the thumbnail container (this will remove the existence of hyperlink as well)
Now try to preview the page. Image will show in the slideshow but thumbnail will not exist.
You can also visit out Idea page to place a feature request to provide an option to make thumbnail hidden.

  • How to delete an image from a Slideshow in Adobe Muse

    In Adobe Muse, I've created a slideshow through Slideshow Options > Add Images. I know how to replace an image, but how do I delete an image from the slideshow? I don't see that option anywhere.
    Thanks.

    It worked - I deleted it from the thumbnails. Thanks.

  • Iphoto no longer deletes the images from iPhone 5s after import.

    I have the latest version of IOS, and iPhoto.  Now, when I connect my iPhone 5s and import the photos and select the delete all that was imported option the photos on the iPhone are NOT deleted.
    Everything is stock apple software.  Not jail broken, or any sketchy software installed.  All updates are installed immediately.  Has anyone experienced this problem?
    Ben.

    The short answer:
    You're wrong.  Either the software is malfunctioning and is suffering from a critic bug, or the Hardware is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced.  Everything is under warranty so it doesn't really matter which one it is as long as the issue is resolved.
    I just want to find out how many other users are experiencing this issue and help narrow it down before I report it to Apple.
    The long answer:
    Hi,
    I'm a CSEE engineer with with a background in QE/QA. It's literally my job to define exactly what a piece of software and hardware products is supposed to do.
    I validate the design of products, and verify the functionality of the product. For the record I do not work for Apple, and my employer is not affiliated with Apple in any way. Your answer blew me away!  LOL.
    Wow.  Where to start? Any answer is not better than none.
    Your answer is completely wrong and it's dangerous because your kind of answer will discourage regular people from asking questions on this forum. It sounds like it's coming form a professional and it sounds decisive, definitive, and final.  Almost like an edict! LOL.  Unfortunately it's also completely incorrect. That's the only reason I felt compelled to respond to your response.
    Saying:

    is a ridiculous answer.
    I am saying that as both an engineer with an extensive experience in QA/QE, as well as a lay person who prefers to to use Apple products. Software and hardware should perform as designed and as expected. Apple software and hardware usually does exactly that. When it doesn't it gets fixed very quickly as long as it's reported.
    You' don't trust Apple software and hardware to behave as expected? Why buy Apple then if you have such a low opinion of the reliability, design, and quality assurance of their products? It's the most expensive hardware in the market in it's class; so it's definitely not the "bargain" factor.
    I buy Apple products because they perform as expected, have a superior intuative user interface, and it is all backed by solid customer service. This is the first time in years that I've had to deal with such a glaring malfunction. Somehow in jumping from Mavericks to YosemiteI, and IOS 7.x to  IOS 8.x somehow the ball got dropped and I just want to know if this is a "one in a million case," or is it a more common bug before I report it to Apple. Either way it will be reported.
    I am using two Apple products together and using Apple branded software designed specifically for those products on top of that. It's a MacBook pro, an iPhone 5s, and I'm using Apple's iPhoto as the interface. You actually said:
    Terence Devlin wrote:
    ... Specifically never use iPhoto (or any other app) to delete the photos from your Camera Card or Phone. Disconnect the camera, check the transfer has gone correctly and then erase the data.
    2. You can erase the photos from your Phone with Image Capture (in the Applications Folder)
    So first you say specifically to "never use iPhoto to delete photos."  An app that was specifically designed by Apple for this purpose. Then you up the ante and and add "or any other app." But then step 2 you reverse yourself completely and say "use image capture" to erase photos. Why trust one Apple software, And distrust another? Why not trust the one designed for the purpose? Is it an article of faith? LOL.
    I don't know if you ever noticed this; but, when you connect your iPhone to your MacBook, OSX automatically launches iPhoto as the de facto standard app for dealing with imports and deleting images from your iPhone.  Yes you can customize that; but, the default factory standard is iPhoto. This has been the case for years, and it has worked flawlessly until now.
    To advise people to not trust the app designed by Apple for Apple Products to do the work it was designed to do is funny to say the least.
    The expected behavior of iPhoto is that imported images to the MacBook should be deleted when I tell the software to delete images. When the software tells me that it is deleting images and then I find out that it did not; that is a bug, and critical one at that. Major software functionality is being affected and the software is not behaving as designed, advertised, or expected.
    I verified the bug by:
    1- Saying no to the delete option at import time,
    2- verified that the images have been imported.
    3- disconnected and reconnected the iPhone.
    4- When iPhoto informs me that all images have already been imported. I choose the option to delete images that have already been imported.
    5- IPhoto still fails to delete the images.
    I'm able to reproduce this bug 100% of the time. I want to know if others are experiencing this behavior.
    Where did you ever get the idea that malfunctioning software, or software that is not performing according to design is a "Good" thing or that a bug is not a bug; but, a desirable feature?
    From a lay person's perspective, the dialog box box in the iPhoto "import" function clearly states that import was successful, and asks if the user wishes to delete the photos that have been already imported.  This is the way iPhoto has always worked ever since my iPhone 3gs days.
    The fact that the iPhotos app asks if you want want the pictures that were just imported DELETED from your iPhone means the expected software and hardware behavior is that the photos that were already imported should be deleted and the storage freed for others uses.  Having to use third-party software is not a real workaround or even desirable. There is something wrong with either the iPhone hardware, iPhoto software, OS X Yosemite, Or IOS 8.1.2. Any one of these issues is important enough that it should be looked at.
    I need to zero in on the cause, and have Apple fix it. It could hardware or software issue.  It could be just me, or hundreds, or thousands of people. Everything I have is under warranty so the repair is free and it is expected. I have been able to consistently reproduce this error and I want to know how widespread this problem is.
    The reason I buy Apple products at a higher premium instead of alternative brands such as Samsung, or Sony, or LG is the Apple reliability and user experience. If as a user I don't report a bug; then over the long-term, that reliability and user experience is going to degrade. I'm not investigating this as an "Apple" hater; but, as a supporter and an enthusiast. Finding out how widespread the problem is would help Apple out. When I'm on the solving end of this kind of an equation; I know I would appreciate all the information that I can get.
    On a more personal level, this bug has already negatively affected my user experience. Recently we were visiting a national Park, I took hundreds of pictures, dozens of videos, and I dutifully imported them into my laptop that night and I elected to delete what has been imported. I assumed that when iPhoto reported the pictures were deleted; that this was indeed the case. The next day we went to another national Park and only a third through the day my iPhone 5s reported that there was no more storage. I then had to then manually delete over 900 photos and videos.
    There is no batch delete in the iPhone "Photos" user app interface. I had to go into the iPhone "Photos" select menu, scroll through hundreds of photos. Find where I had imported the day before, and then delete well over 900 photos and videos manually by individually selecting each one and then clicking delete. It took over an hour.
    Yes, in the select dialog box you can select the multiple images and then click delete once; But, on a moving boat with all sorts of distractions this little exercise took an exceedingly long time. It also took my attention away from my family for well over an hour. I didn't see anything that I now can remember during that time and I couldn't interact with my family the way they deserved. I have no memories of that boat trip either in my brain, or on my camera because I was busy deleting. It wasn't by choice, I had to either do the deleting right then, or miss the show that was after the boat ride. I chose the lesser of two evils.
    The point of my little story is, that the boat ride with my family is an irrecoverable moment in time that is forever lost. It wasn't life-and-death, but it was precious and it is gone forever. There is no way to recover it. There are no time machines.  This simple bug, or hardware malfunction was the cause, and I want to make sure it doesn't happen to me, or anyone ever again.  That was the first time I experienced the bug.  Since then it has been the rule and not the exception.

    Is there really no way to make Time Machine simply ignore old backups?
    Not really.
    First, each is identified to the Mac that made it, via a file in the sparse bundle that contains the Mac's hardware address.  This is so you can back up 2 or more Macs to the same TC, since you can't partition the TC's disk (and also allows you to change the name of the Mac, or even have 2 with the same name, without causing havoc).
    Second, if the Verify procedure finds a problem it can't fix, it marks the sparse bundle as damaged, and won't  back up to it again.  You may be able to restore selected files, or even a whole backup, as long as you don't hit the damaged spot(s), but as long as that sparse bundle exists, identified to your Mac, Time Machine won't create a new one.
    In theory, you could alter the identification file, but then you'd find it impossible, or at least very difficult, to use the sparse bundle for anything.
    What you could do is connect a USB drive to the TC and "archive" the disk, including the damaged sparse bundle, to it, per the green box in #Q6 of Using Time Machine with a Time Capsule, then delete the damaged original (or let Time Machine do that).  You can view and restore selected items from it, via the Browse... option, per Time Machine - Frequently Asked Question #17.  But remember, those backups are damaged -- somewhere, something(s) aren't right, so results will be unpredictable.

  • How can I delete the image in my e-mails?

    I'm having difficulty deleting or changing the e-mail image that appears automatically in e-mails. I gather they appear on e-mails sent to other Mac Mail uses, but not otherwise. I'd like to simply remove the image. Yet even when I delete the image altogether using the edit image tools in Address Book, one of the stock images from Apple's library keeps showing up. Can I not have the e-mails appear without any image on them. I've poked around a bit with both Address Book and System Preferences, and wonder what the difference is between those two image functions. There are separate images for each user on my iMac, but I'm having difficulty figuring exactly how to manage and control those images in System Preferences and Address Book.
    Can anyone point to Apple documentation that might help me?
    No opinions, please.
    Using

    but cannot see how to simply delete an image.
    As far as I know, there is no way to delete the image. I've not heard of a way to do so. It there is a way, someone may chime in; in the meantime, you might want to try checking out the "more like this" section on the right of the page.
    No opinions means I'm looking for answers based on technical knowledge.

  • Delete mutiple image with custom trigger

    I am attempting to delete multiple images associated with a record being deleted. The record has a field with the default filename, then each image has a prefix ("thumb_", "callout_", "feature_") along with this filename.
    My issue is two-fold. I am attempting this with a custom trigger (on the delete record; using AFTER), but I keep getting an error message when I try to pull in the filename using tNG->getColumnValue(). The error reads:
    tNG_fields.getColumnValue:
    Column file is not part of the current transaction.
    Here is my code:
    $file = $tNG->getColumnValue('file');
    deleteFileAndThumbs($file);
    My second issue is in regards to the redirect after the triggers.
    getPrimaryKeyValue() works just fine. Thus, if I change the image names to correspond to my record's "id" #, it will pull the ID # just fine. It will make it through my code and redirect back to the listing page. However, the images will not be deleted. If I remove the redirect, the images delete, but it just sits on this page. So I assume my issue is a result of the page redirecting before al the images are deleted. Is there a way to not allow the redirect to run until my deleteImages function is completed?
    Thanks!

    Ok. How about executing a SELECT inside a Custom Trigger and accessing
    the resulting rows to use in PHP code also in the trigger?
    Example - within the Custom Trigger execute:
    $sql="SELECT * FROM table";
    How do I execute it? With the regular DW code like:
    mysql_select_db($database_conWV, $conWV);
    $sql="SELECT * FROM table";
    $result = mysql_query($sql, $conWV) or die(mysql_error());
    $row_result = mysql_fetch_assoc($result);
    $totalRows_result = mysql_num_rows($result);
    or with some ADDT code like:
    $result = $tNG->connection->execute($sql);
    If I do the "ADDT" way, how do I access the rows?
    $result['column'] or something?

  • Problem Rating / Deleting Multiple Images

    I have a Problem Rating / Deleting Multiple Images at the same time. For the last 2 weeks I have been unable to select a group of images and rate them all - I have to select images indiviually for the rating to work. This also is the case when trying to delete images.
    Anyone know if this is a bug?

    Hit 'S' which toggles 'Primary Only' mode - this swaps between applying ratings,deletions to multiple images or just the one with the thicker selection border.

  • While trying to delete an image or header on Index page, Index..html disappeared--how could this have happened?

    Windows 7, Adobe CS6
    In Dreamweaver, from files located on a USB, on the Index screen, I was trying to  1) delete an Image in order to insert a different one and link it to a page; 2) delete the Header in order to insert a border and then replace the Header.
    I seem to have succeeded with the Image rollover replacement and link. Clicking on the Header should have activated it so that I could delete it; but it didn't.
    All of the images and links are intact; I just can't open the Index page, since I can't find the Index.html file.  The last time I copied the USB files onto my C: drive was 3 weeks ago.
    1.  What might I have done accidentally to cause the Index.html file to be deleted?
    2.  Exactly what does the Index.html file contain?  Would the one that's 3 weeks old work?  No, I'm thinking, since some changes were made in the html coding in the meantime?

    This is the problem with working in Design View only.  You really need to work in Split View so you can see the code that DW creates/selects for you.  Often times, selecting elements in Design View will capture too much or too little code.  When you  hit delete, you may have deleted much more code than was needed.   The result is invalid code, unbalanced tags, etc.. all of which might explain why your page is blank in Design View.
    Switch to code view.  Copy & paste the remaining code into a web forum reply (do not use e-mail, it won't come through).  If we can see the code you have to work with, we might be able to help you repair it.

  • Deleting multiple images

    I've accumulated so many photos that they're taking up too much space, and I don't use them.  I'm trying to find a way to delete multiple images using Adobe Bridge CS5.  I assumed it would be easiest through this program.  Its taking too much time to delete them individually.  Is there a more efficient way to delete photos? I thought of creating a folder and just putting the photos in there to delete but thats all I've come up with.

    Its taking too much time to delete them individually.
    No need for that, multiple options for you:
    Selecting:
    - use the mouse to hoover over the files you want to delete and select them all
    - click on the first one and with shift click select the last in the series to select them all
    - use the command key with click to select multiple files on different locations in the same folder.
    Deleting:
    With the files selected choose:
    - the bin icon in the path bar (from CS4 and higher) top right of the Bridge Window
    - hit command backspace
    - Use right mouse click and choose 'move to trash' from the pop up menu
    - Go to the menu 'File' and choose 'Move to trash"
    There must be one amongst them that will suite you I would think...

  • Deleting Gallery Images Problem

    After I create a MobileMe gallery in Aperture I've gone in to delete images from that gallery in Aperture. When I do, it deletes the master image back in the project it came from. My understanding (actually just my sense/intuition since there doesn't seem to be an updated manual with MobileMe info) is that when I choose an image to move into a gallery, it either copies it or (I would think) creates a file that points back to the original. Maybe that's way off base. Regardless, how do I delete an image from a gallery without having to go to my trash to recover the original? Thanks for any help.

  • Deleting Camera Images after Importing

    Hi there..
    Can someone tell me if there's a setting in Aperture 2.1.2 that allows you to delete the image files on the camera after importation. This facility was available in iPhoto and now that I have upgraded to Aperture I really miss this feature as it's not obvious how it can be done... even if it can be done..?? It's a real pain having to manually delete the photos from the camera over and over.
    I'm using a Canon 450D.
    Any help or suggestions.... most welcome.

    Reformat the card in-camera after backing original image files up on the computer. It only takes a few seconds. The workflow as described below in an earlier post uses my preference, a Referenced-Masters Library, but could also be used with a Managed-Masters Library .
    I feel pretty strongly that card-to-Aperture or camera-to-Aperture handling of original images puts originals at unnecessary risk. I suggest this workflow, first using the Finder (not Aperture) to copy images from CF card to computer hard drive:
    • Remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into a memory card reader. Faster readers and faster cards are preferable.
    • Finder-copy images from memory card to a labeled folder on the intended permanent Masters location hard drive.
    • Eject memory card.
    • Burn backup hard drive or DVD copies of the original images (optional strongly recommended recommended backup step).
    • Eject backup hard drive(s) or DVDs.
    • From within Aperture, import images from the hard drive folder into Aperture selecting "Store files in their current location." This is called "referenced images." During import is the best time to also add keywords, but that is another discussion.
    • Review pix for completeness (e.g. a 500-pic shoot has 500 valid images showing in Aperture).
    • Reformat memory card in camera, and archive originals off site on hard drives and/or on DVDs.
    Note that the "eject" steps above are important in order to avoid mistakenly working on removable media/backups.
    Also note with a Referenced-Masters Library that use of the "Vault" backup routine backs up the Library only, not the Masters. Masters should be separately backed up, IMO a good thing from a workflow and data security standpoint.

  • Why is there a thin dark line between two of my three cover images that wasn't there before?  When I delete the images, you can tell that there is extra space between the first two image boxes.

    Getting ready to purchase my first book, I looked over everything once more and noticed that there is now a thin gray line between the first two of my three cover images.  I believe this may have happened when I switched out the left image.  When I delete the images, you can see an extra space between the center and left image boxes.  How can I fix this without starting over?

  • Pages deleted my images

    HI,
    Pages deleted my images. How is that possible? Can I retrieve them? Has anyone ever seen this message before?
    Thanks in advance!
    P

    Because Pages v5.2.2 on Mavericks lacks about 100+ features that were in Pages '09 (if that was the source of the document), it will exclude content that requires functionality that it does not support (e.g. images placed in the header, etc.). If this was your only copy of Pages '09, and Pages v5.2.2 is auto-saving -- you are up the creek without a backup of the original.
