Delivery cancellation and credit memo issue

Hi,
I am facing the following issue :
A) 100 pcs stock was sold to customer - A.  He returned 40 pcs. This 40 pcs were taken back by PGR. During PGR, Storage Location was not put.
B) Now this 40 pcs have been sold to another customer - B.
Since in the first case, Storage Location was not put during PGR, I am unable to cancel the Delivery and issue Credit Note to Customer  - A.
Please help me out with a solution.
Thanks & regards,
KVinod

Hi Vinod;
Can you give us a little more details. You are saying that you created a PGR, how did this happen, which is the delviery you are not able to cancel.
I am not sure of your returns process.

Mani

  • Report to identify invoices, debit memos and credit memos

    Hi,
Just enquiring if there is a report in SAP that will identify all invoices debit memos and credit memos issued within a particular date range.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
You can try VF05 as Navaneet indicated and also you can try VF05N (for only the header details), if you are using ECC 6.0
If you have VF05N, then you can tick 'Biling Documents in FI'. It will give you the billing docs for a date range and the ones that have been released to accounting....
    Hope this helps

  • Return Delivery with a Credit  Memo Request.

Hello Gurus. I have been working on this issue for quite some time. I will explain the process that was provided by our installers. It doesn't seem to be adding up. Here is the situation, Product that was sent incorrectly was returned. According to our procedures, we create a returns delivery thru VA01, with RE (returns) as the Order Type. We then create it with REFERENCE to the Invoice Number. We remove the items not being returned, enter the Billing Block and Order Reason. Then Save. It gives us a returns delivery number of 6000000, We then return the product back to our stock through MB1B. We clear it and put it back as normal. We then Create a Credit Memo Request through VA01, order type is CR (Credit Memo Request) Create with Reference, we again select the invoice number, delete the items not being returned, enter billing reason, then save. It gives us a number of 60000001. At this point, we enter VF01 and create a billing document. It says the order has billing blocks. We go back in and remove the blocks. We hit save. It now seems to ok, except that, under document flow, under the first delivery 6000000, it shows still being processed (the goods returns shows complete, but the line above shows being processed), and the document flow for 60000001 shows the invoice and the Accounting document as Not Cleared. My question is, should there be 2 seperate orders? A returns delivery and credit memo Request should be under the one delivery number 6000000 according to our procedures? Those were the steps given. Something seems out of place. Are my steps out of order?  Are the procedures wrong?  If anybody has any insight, I would much appreciate it.

I would start fresh with a new sales order.  When you create with reference both the return delivery and credit memo are created with reference to the return sales order.  Here is an example document flow to clarify:
Document                                      Date               Qty/value   UoM/Cur   Overall proc. status
                                                                                    Return 60000077 / 10                          08/25/05               10.000  EA      Completed
    . Returns Delivery 500000016 / 10             08/25/05               10.000  EA      Completed
    .. GD returns QI 4900030060 / 1               08/25/05               10.000  EA      complete
    .. Credit for Returns1 10000017 / 10          08/25/05               10.000  EA      Completed
    ... Accounting document 10000017              08/25/05               10.000  EA      Cleared

  • Cancellation Internal Credit memo is not posted into Accounting

    Hello All,
We have a requirement where the cancellation internal credit memo is not posted into accounting. It is a inter company sales return process. After return delivery, client created the internal credit memo. But due to some problem they cancelled the internal credit memo. But now system is not posted the cancellation internal credit memo into accounting. I did my analysis and found that client is using same number range for internal credit memo and accounting document. When internal credit memo is created system is assign the same number range to accounting document because of external number range field is ticked in Fbn1 .But due to wrong number assignment in internal credit memo. So when they cancel the internal credit memo, this internal credit memo number range is coming within the accounting document number range. But client is insisting that anyhow the cancel inter credit memo should be posted to accounting.
I have tried a lot. but i could not reach out to any solution. Kindly help me on proving me a solution on this.
    Regards
    Soumendu

    Dear Soumendu:
I had received this warning when the invoice was cleared. If you revert this process is possible to post the cancellation into accounting.
Please check the status of the invoice.

  • Sales Return and credit memo

    Dear All
Little confused, kindly tell me correct method.
    Sales return:
    1. Sales order>Delivery> Billing> Return Order>Return Delivery-Credit Return
    Credit memo
    1. Sales order>Delivery>Billing>Credit memo request>credit memo
confusion is that when goods are recieved back due to customer rejection, we issue credit memo, which above step should be followed
    Please kindly guide me.
    Regards
    Sandeep Bhowmick

    Dear Sandeep,
    > If the step no 1 is correct then in which scenario we will be using credit memo request and credit memo
See i will explain you with all scenario :
    1. Scenario 1--> When we are selling some material to the customer and that material is scraped or completely lost in transit or any situation where you can not take it back....... So in this case there is no need of creating Return delivery......... Your Process 2 will go here.
    2. Scenario 2: --. You sent some material to customer but due to some quality or defect purpose customer wants to return to you, then you have to create return delivery which will insure that you are taking that material back into your stock for quality checking.
    I guess it will help...
    Thanks,

Are you sure its VK11???? I guess for the cancellation if billing document its VF11......
Try to do the manual release to accounitng....by going to VF02 and pressing the Green Flag button after entering the cancellation document number. Or Else Try to reverse the posting with FB08.

  • Vendor credit memo issue

    Hi everyone,
we overpaid vendor PO related invoice, vendor issue us a refund check to us. what we should do in SAP? I use MIRO issue a credit memo ,and post an incoming payment using F-52, but not sure it's the right way.
I guess my question is : If vendor already cashed the check, shall we still use MIRO to issue a creadit memo?  how does the accounting work? did PO get reduced?
    please advise.
    thanks,

    Dominic,
I got the answer of difference between Subsequent Debits/Credits and credit memo:
Subsequent Debits/Credits are used in cases where the quantity is in the original invoice is to remain the same. For eg.
    PO  10 - $10
    Gr   10 - $10
    LIV 10 - $11 (Logistics Invoice Verification)
The vendor invoice is more than that in the Purchase Order. In order to correct, the Vendor may send in another invoice for
the Increased amount or a credit memo for the increased amount.
If you approve of the price increase, post the subsequent invoice received as a Subsequent Debit/Credit Invoice.
If it is a credit memo that has been received, then post the credit memo as Subsequent Debit/Credit.
This would retain the quantity but reduce the amount.
Subsequent Debit/Credit is for the case when the credit is not for the full amount eg. if the Vendor decided to credit
    only the $1 overcharged.
Credit memo is for the credit of the full amount and value.

  • Goods Return and Credit Memo

    Hi Experts,
I've stuck with one problem on implementation project. The scenario is as below.
    Cut-off data is 30th Apr 2009
Go live date declared is 30th April 2009, but the client has one specific requirement regarding the Return goods from customer.
The industry is a publication industry. Their customers are all around the world.
When they sale some material the goods may return after 3 years from the sale date and they give the cash back according to the invoice amount at the invoice date.
    1) We shall upload all the balances as on 30th April 2009.
    2) If any customer returns the goods which we had sold in year 2006.
    3) How to book return order, delivery and Credit Memo.
    4) What will be the effect on Inventory stock and price and according to Balance sheet.
    5) We don't have back dated data (in Year 2006) in SAP system.
    6) Client don't want to refer legacy system for the exchange rate and rate at the invoice time.
Please guide me how to map this scenario.
    Regards

    Hi,
    1.  If you are using ERS, then running MRRL transaction will automatically generate credit memo for your return delivery with movement type 122.
    2.  MIR5 is the one you should look into.
    3.  Take a look into ME80FN report.  Yet, this report does not indicate specifically for movement type 122.  If it is required that this movement type shall be chosen as part of selection parameters, then you should develop your own report.
    4.  There is not any particular difference if you are using movement type 161.  The only difference is that in case of using 161, you will have to raise a new return PO and make necessary GR and IR posting.  However, the disadvantage is that you will lose the track of your original PO (and PO history).
    Cheers,

  • Cancellation of Credit Memo

    Hi,
The user has raised an incorrect Credit Memo in the system but the accounting document is not cleared yet.
How can I reverse the process?

    Hi Laxmi.
In VF11, if I try to process it it says that the document does not exists. It was possibly not posted and therefore cannot be read from the database.
But I can see the document in VF03.
Also we are not allowed to cancel Invoices. What we used to do is that we always created a credit/debit memo against an incorrect Invoice. So,we always avoided to cancel Invoice.
However in this case, I need to reverse a credit memo. So, I am not sure as to cancelling the Credit memo is the only alternative.?

  • Cancellation Document no accounting doc but cancellation of credit memo

    Hi experts,
I have cancelled a billing doc then instead of the cancellation document producing an accounting document another cancellation of Credit Memo (S2) was generated. I believe this is SAP standard bug but have anyone of you encountered such scenario?
    Thanks and regards,
    jG

    Hi Sandip,
Yes this was my expectation but it didn't happen because the accounting didn't post instead another billing document was created in SD with doc type S2 "cancellation with credit memo" which I don't know the logic behind it. So the sequence of my documents are
    1. billing doc
    2. accounting doc of billing doc.
    3. cancellation of billing doc.
    4. cancellation of credit memo.
If you can see the 4th one instead of another accounting doc this unnecessary cancellation of credit memo doc appeared.
