  • Activation of SAP delivery example

In SEM-BPS, SAP has provided pre-configured planning areas vis-a-vis standard business content of BW objects.
Is there any similar pre-configured data basis and consolidation areas available in SEM-BCS? I saw one OSS note 736226 in this connection which helps to install the delivery example. Whether my understanding is correct?
    Thank you,

    hi shanky,

  • How to change proposed delivery data in a SO

    Hi Gems,
        I am new to SD.
I am creating SO with order type OR.
The system is proposing Delivery date (and some other date like goods issue date, loading date etc.) as 2 days ahead of the current date.(these dates can be changed manually)
U can find all these date in schedule line/Shipping.
I want to change the proposed date to current date.
beside this there are 2 other date in Availability control.
    1) Complete delivery (Dely/Conf. Date)
    2) Dely Proposal (Dely/Conf. Date)
these are also proposing dates 2 days ahead and not giving permission to change it manually to current date (u can able to change it to any future date but not to any past date of proposed date).
There is no problem while creating SO. But when I am trying to create delivery it's giving error as 'Dely/Conf. Date' is in future.
Now, how to change these dates?
Please help me to solve this problem.

    Hi Surajit
As you have maintained 2 days , so go to VA02-> item data->schedule lines tab->check the delivery date
If the delivery date is 14.02.2009 then go to VL01N and give manually the delivery date as 14.02.2009 ,
    then you can do  delivery
    Example :
    Today's date : 12.02.2009 ;
    Maintained days : 2 days
    Delivery date : 14.02.2009 ;
Check the following parameters wheather you have maintained or not :
In shipping point details check pick, pack , goods in transit  time
In VOV8 check the Lead time in days
In MMR check the GR time , In house production time

  • Creating sales order using batch split--immediate response please

    Hi all,
Thanks to each and every one on this forum for their valuable inputs.
I need the procedure to create a sales order in two ways
by splitting the material into 2 batches and doing the delivery for a single sales order  and also delivery the material of same batch in single sales order to be delivered in partial deliveries
example 1: Material  was A ordered 10 pcs   6pcs belong to 1 batch xxxx1 and 4 pcs belong to another batch xxxxx2  they need to be deliveed in the single delivery
example 2:Material A was ordered 10 pcs belong to batch xxxxx1 but to be delivered 6pcs in one delivery and 4 pcs in the other delivery
Please let me know the procedure to do this  in detail
    Thanks
Edited by: sapsd2help sap on Apr 17, 2008 4:21 PM

    Hi,
You can do the scenaio in the following way
Example 1: Material was A ordered 10 pcs 6pcs belong to 1 batch xxxx1 and 4 pcs belong to another batch xxxxx2 they need to be deliveed in the single delivery
While creating the sales order, you can enter material A as two line items, one for 6 pcs and another 4 pcs.
and While creating the delivery you can give two batches for two line items, like for 6 pcs you can give batch as xxxx1 and for 4 pcs line item you can give the batch as xxxx2. in this way you can delivery Material A of 10 pcs, into two different batches one for xxxx1 and another for xxxx2.
Example 2 :Material A was ordered 10 pcs belong to batch xxxxx1 but to be delivered 6pcs in one delivery and 4 pcs in the other delivery
This is nothing but partial delivery.
You can create the sales order for the material A for 10 pcs, and in the delivery while you can manually change the delivery qty and pick qty  to 6, and give the batch of your choice (xxxx1).
Now the order of 10 pcs is partially delivered for 6 pcs and another 4 pcs are still open.
You can create the second delivery with reference to the same sales order, now the delivery show the remaing qty (say 4) in the delivery, you can give the batch (xxxx1) and do the delivery.
But see that to do partial delivery, check the customer master of the customer -> sales area data -> shipping tab -> partial delivery allowed is checked
    Hope this is clear.
    Reward if helpful.
    Thanks,
    Praveen

  • BCS Documentation

    Hi BCS Experts,
I am BW consultant with accounting background and would like to learn BCS.Could you please send me some good BCS documentation except SAP material. I completed the SAP BCS course excercises. I dont have the confidence to start working in BCS yet. Could you please also tell me that whether do we load in BCS Trial balance or Financial statements via flexible upload?
    Thanks and regards,
    Harry

    Hi Harry,
    1. The file format completely depends on the flexible upload method settings. As an exampe you can look at the structure of the fields and the file structure here:
    /people/sap.user72/blog/2006/07/21/how-to-upload-hierarchy-and-master-data-of-fs-items-in-sap-sem-bcs-40-by-using-flexible-upload-method
For totals upload you just need to add:
    - item
    - amount in local currency
    - amount in transaction currency
    - transaction currency
    - movement type (optional)
    - company
    - business partner
    maybe some more analytical characteristics.
    2. As I wrote before (in another thread), I didn't see any good step-by-step docs related to BCS customizing. There are a couple of files that somehow explain this process (but not very well). So, I may send them to you provided that I have your mail ID.
    3. There are some notes related to overview, data basis and master data:

  • SEM BCS, first install

    Hi,
I have installed SEM-BCS 6 on our DEV server.  After installation, tried customising in the workbench but the process and techinal view only shows Data basis and Consolidation Area nodes.  I do not see any hierarchy for Data model, master data, consolidation functions etc. but just the two nodes.
We had done a pilot install, where we had installed the delivery example which worked fine and the process view and technical view both had the necessary nodes.
My question is that, do we need to load the delivery example to see the complete views or is there any other way to activate/generate these views?
    Thanks
    Neeraj

    neeraj,
CoA - place any code. If it doesn't exist, the system will propose to create a value.
    No special transactions needed.
Version 100 is not created automatically. Don't set any versions neither in data basis nor in cons area.
When you generate the data basis and a cons area and enter the system again, it starts to offer you a screen with permanent parameters. Set there version 100. After that in workbench create this version 100.
Next time when you enter the system, in the frame with parameters you'll be able to save them. Only after that the menu will appear.

  • Sap customizing template to FI-CA and PS-CD

We do not find the SAP delivery Customizing and sample customizing in those clients, it is only in client 000.
I need to copy the delivery customizing to other existing client. Although I have checked note 337623, I still don't understand exactly what should i do?
What is the procedure to copy it into other clients?
Any advise or any guide documents?

  • Proportionate consolidation customizing issue

    Hello,
In order to do the customizing tasks of the proportinate consolidation,
we have followed the help steps of "Customizing for Proportionate
Consolidation (Standard Delivery) / Payables-Receivables Elim.; Minimum
    Procedure (1) (Task 7612)"
And we found a customizing issue in the fast entry of the estep 002 of
    the method 76120.
We can not add the "Trading partner" in the condition area.
We have check out the customizing of the related layout and it looks right.
How can we add this characteristic? What do I have to change to add it?

       Proportionate consolidation
    Posted: Jul 23, 2008 2:28 PM           Reply
    Hello all,
I would like to know if someone uses the new functionality of proportionate consolidation.
I need to use the proportionate consolidation for some companies that are held by 50%.
I studied the SAP solutions and found out that before SEM ver. 6 there were 2 reclassifications: one that cuts off 50% of the amounts of proportionately consolidated company and the second one checks every I/C item that uses a proportionately consolidated company as a Trading partner and reclassifies 50% to predefined item (third parties). So, when you execute I/U Elimination, there are only 50% at each side and they are fully eliminated.
    Simple example:
    Company 1000 - fully consolidated
    Company 1300 - proportionately consolidated
I/U receivables item in company 1000 with trading partner 1300 1,000 USD
I/U payables item in company 1300 with trading partner 1000 (1,000) USD
    After first reclass. :
I/U payables item in company 1300 with trading partner 1000 (500) USD
Clearing item for proportionate consolidation (balance sheet) (500) USD
    After second reclass.:
I/U receivables item in company 1000 with trading partner 1300 500 USD
    Third parties receivables 500 USD
    Before I/U Elimination:
I/U payables item in company 1300 with trading partner 1000 (500) USD
I/U receivables item in company 1000 with trading partner 1300 500 USD
    After I/U Elimination:
I/U payables item in company 1300 with trading partner 1000 (0) USD
I/U receivables item in company 1000 with trading partner 1300 0 USD
The innovation that SAP suggests nowadays is a new Application for Document types that you use for the first reclassification (Reclassification: Apportionment of standardized financial data )based on statistical items that determine the holdings share. Afterwards you execute the I/U Elimination and after it you execute reclass (Reclassifications: Two-sided eliminations)
I don't see an advantage* of using this new solution in a case there is 50% holding share. I think that the first solution was more simple. The new solution can easily deal with percentage share other than 50% (for example, in case there is 60% proportionate consolidation). If there is 50% you need to update the statistical items.
Does anyone think differently? Did someone implemented the proportionate consolidation?
I would appreciate to get any kind of advice.
    Sorry for the long thread.
    Best regards,
    Lilia

    Hello Lilia
I appreciate Lilia for posting challenging question , which hardly happens in this forum.
Although I used purchase method, I havenu2019t had opportunity to use proportionate consolidation method (as there was no need in all of my projects). However after going through the new stuff available in SEM 6.0, I think you are right in your conclusions (....earlier reclassifications more simpler and suitable when proportionate share is 50%....)
New innovative way seems to be more technically advanced (unlike in earlier versions proportionate share is maintained at customization level) as it makes use of document type and statistical items to record initial proportionate share as well as subsequent changes.
By the way which version do you use?
    Cheers

the main difference or advantage is that oen consolidation unit could be proportionally consolidated in several groups and method changes are allowed. Beside that, the new consolidation is quite complex.
CU are porportionally consolidated and fully eliminated (afterwards other reclassification correct that effect).
The old recl. workaround was useful only if a CU was proportioanlly consolidated only once.
I am trying to use this new feature (I have follow exactly the standar delivery example but still have problems).
I hope you find this useful.

  • Delivery Completed Indicator  - Open PO Quantity Issue

    Hi All,
I have an issue relating to our Open Purchase Order Report.  I have some POs which are appearing on the report eventhough they are marked, 'Delivery Complete' ie NOT open. The example of a PO is where the PO Quantity is 100 and the Goods Receipt is 99.  The user knows that there will be no further deliveries and therefore marks the PO 'Delivery Complete'
In the Extractor to BI we have extracted this field ELIKZ 'Delivery Completed Indicator'.  The structure of our datamodel is
PSA -> DSO (Write Optimised DSO) -> Cube
    We calculate the Open PO Qty by taking 'PO Qty' minus 'Goods Receipt Quantity' I have checked the example PO in the cube & DSO.  I can see that for the infoobject 'Delivery Complete Indicator' that it has been marked 'X' but only on the records relating to the Goods Receipt for this PO.  The original PO record is added to the cube eg on 1st Jan and then the Goods Receipt record, including the delivery complete indicator is added to the cube on 31st Jan, but the original record is not updated by this indicator.  Therefore at the moment I cannot use this to filter out records in my query.  See below how it looks in the Cube;
Created Date - PO No - PO Line - Del Complete Indicator - PO QTy - Goods Receipt Qty
    01.01.2011       123      10             (Blank)                             100
    31.01.2011       123      10                 X                                                         99
What should I do?  How have you created this report?
Just to let you know I have already read the post Delivery Completed Indicator(ELIKZ:0COMPL_DEL) in 2LIS_02_SCL
    Many thanks for your help,
    Michelle

    Hi Kalyan,
Thanks very much for your message,
In my case if the Order Qty is not equal to receipted this does not always mean that it is open.  Sometimes the receipted quantity can be over or under (not equal) and the PO can be closed.  What do you mean by confirmed quanity?  Also, this is a Purchase Order report not a Sales report.
    You have said...
"Then I would suggest to still keep the condition on the Net ord qty and Net confirmed qty and exclude the del compl indicator as X and also the status as open "
I don't understand how this will work.  My issue is that the indicator is not on all the records of a PO only the receipted records.
    Can you help again please?
    Many thanks
    Michelle

  • Link between Delivery and Sales Order Schedule Line

    Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement in which i need to display quantity and amount at schedule line level and also the delivery and delivery item for each schedule line.
For example, if there is a sales order O1 and item 10 for which we have 3 schedule lines and 3 deliveries as well say D1, D2 and D3.
Report should be something like this
Sales Order    Item   Schedule Line    Delivery    Del Item   Confirmed Order Qty
    O1                 10      1                       D1           10            5
    O1                 10       2                      D2            10            5
    O1                 10       3                      D3            10            4
How can i determine that a particular delivery corresponds to which schedule line of that saler order-item?
We have the link between delivery and sales order but is there any way that we can get the link of delivery at schedule line level?
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Gaurav

    Hi,
I suppose you must check with SD functional consultant and the post should also be in the logistics SD forum and not BI. But I suppose there is know specific link between the schedule line of SO to the Delivery. It is more like a bucket flow for ex.
Sale order   Item    Schedule line  qty
    SO1            Item1     Sch1            10
    SO2            Item1      Sch2           10
    Delivery Item QTy
    DO1       IT1   15
    DO2       IT1    5
In this case qty 15 is distributed over both SO1 and SO2, and SO2 ITem1 Sch2 has link to both the DOs
So I am not sure if you can establish a one to one link, please check with your SD consultants.

    Ashwin G
