Delivery to Europe??

Hey....
How can I get apple.com/store to send my MacBook to Denmark, and can I get it giftrapped? (from US, i'm not interrested in buying it from a danish store)
regards
Tobias

Hi fiftyb,
I think you should call or e-mail apple store USA about that(1-800-692-7753) because we are all same user and not working for apple.
If they cannot do that, there might be apple authorized reseller in here that will do that for you, but will charge big time for shipping cost, not to mention you have to pay tax and custom based on Denmark law.
But may we know the reason, because if the reason only with keyboard layout, I think apple denmark able to do custom order for other keyboard layout like one I read from user from Japan.
Good Luck.

  • New iMac 24'' 2,8Ghz delivery in Europe

    Hi all,
I would like to know if someone else got the same issue.
I've spent 2 weeks trying to buy the new iMac on Apple Store. As it was not working and money came back I ordered on a reseller website I usually purchase softwares.
Now it's been more than 6 weeks I'm waiting for delivery. The reseller is keeping apologizing as they can't have any info concerning the delivery of my computer.
20 years I'm buying and using Macs, its the first time Apple is treating me like this and I have to say that I'm really disappointed of them!
If anyone from Apple just hear me I'd be really happy to get explanations why other people who ordered material already recieved it and why people who spent years defending the company need to wait near to 7 weeks now !
    Thanks
    Stéphane

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions!
docmib, you make it sound as if Apple has selected you personally to discriminate against. I think that is a very false impression.
Also, once you choose to involve a 3rd party reseller, you are no longer working with Apple, the reseller is. You have no idea at this point what the reseller's relationship is with Apple. You only know what the reseller chooses to tell you. They usually say what makes them look the best in your eyes, even if it isn't true.
It is my understanding from other posts here in the forum, that the iMac you want are built when ordered and there is a backlog of orders. You can be sure Apple fills its own orders first and 3rd party orders later. If the supply stream has issues that were beyond Apple's control would you rather they send out the wrong Macs.

  • Apple Store - Delivery times?? _ frustrating!!

I placed an order through the Apple Store on the 8th Aug at 6:53am GMT (17" MBP, Office and a 4gb Black Nano), the website informed me that the manufacturing time would be 24 hours and dispatch would be on the 9th with arrival on or before the 11th (which is great as I needed the laptop for this weekend).
I got an email this morning at 2:34am GMT informing me that my order has been despatched on the 10th and will arrive on the 14th. Why the sudden increase in delivery times? The website clearly stated all items were available within 24 hours meaning it should have been ready to despatch on the 9th to arrive with me on the 11th. Really disappointed I use to work in sales myself and if we gave a delivery date that was the date regardless, even if it meant having to have staff work overtime to complete an order and have it ready to leave on time.
So what’s the chances of my order arriving with me on the Friday? As their will be no one available to collect delivery as of the Sunday for 8-12 weeks as I have to go work abroad.
//On a side note why am I being shipping the US version of MS Office?
    MBP

Delivery to Europe *****. I've ordered several times from the Apple online store. The manufacturing dates Apple told me were always correct. But then, after handover to Kuehne & Nagel in Shanghai, everything comes to a grinding halt. My first MBP got stuck in Shanghai for 5 days. And it took another 5 for it to reach my door-step. The replacement MBP got delivered from Shanghai directly by TNT. I thought that would speed up the process - but I was wrong. Again, the thing got stuck somewhere in China. Once the stuff is in Europe, though, the packages almost always arrive within 24 hours. From what I've read, delivery to the UK sometimes takes 2 days from the Netherlands, though.
I just wished Apple would try to reduce the delivery times from Shanghai to Europe somehow.

  • How to export 16:9 for auto 4:3 letterboxing?!

I am editing for a TV show and the TV station says that I need to have it formatted for 4:3 and 16:9 BUT they said they only want it in 16:9 HD and to export it so that it will automatically Letterbox when played on a 4:3 TV! Now I don't see how that would be something I would do in exporting, but more something they would at the TV station! I'm not sure if anyone has any ideas or any knowledge it would be incredibly helpful!

You have a lot of mixed messages here, but the most critical is "they said they only want it in 16:9 HD".
Basically you'll deliver 1920x1080 or 1280x720 depending on the station.
The reference to "have it formatted for 4:3 and 16:9" likely is for title graphics. This is called center-cut safe, keeping graphics inside a 4:3 title safe area within the 16:9 image. Center-cut safe is almost always a requirement for broadcast since the image can be viewed in several different ways depending on the station and receiving television settings (which are out of your control).
A 16:9 HD image will automatically letterbox on a 4:3 television IF the owner of the TV has set it up to do so (typically the default). Neither you nor the TV station has control of how the owner/viewer sets up a TV. A 16:9 HD file can not be created to automatically letterbox, that is a function of the TV.
Now, one situation that may change all these interpretations of your mixed messages is delivery in Europe. I believe Europe prefers a 16:9 image squeezed into a 4:3 anamorphic format that when displayed on 16:9 TV is widescreen and on a 4:3 TV is letterboxed. The main point of confusion between that possibility and your statement above is the 4:3 anamorphic can NOT be High Def.

  • Iphoto calender from Germany to USA

Calender directly send to the U.S.A.?
We live in Germany and would like to send our iphoto 08 Calender directly to our friends in California, U.S.A.
With iphoto we can only send it to adresses here in Europe. What do we have to do?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Unless you have a credit card with a US billing address you'll have to take delivery in Europe and re-mail to the US.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • How effective is the five star rating system?

I'm all for rating buyers and sellers on eBay so that one can distinguish the good buyers and sellers from those that are perhaps a little less professional.  However, I've had sellers ask me to leave a 5 star rating across the board, as they claim anything less is considered a negative rating.  Most sellers write thank you on the items they send but in many cases that's the only communication that you've had with them.  What does that warrant on the rating system to provide honest feedback?  When the description on an item doesn't really tell you anything other than say "old stamp".  How do you rate that?  It is an old stamp; so looked at one way the description is very accurate but it's not really telling you anything about the item..   I may be a bit naive here but I've never seen a list of the criteria used to determine "very accurate", "very fast", "very satisfied" or "very quickly".  For the rating system to accurately reflect how good or poor the buyers and sellers are it needs to be objective.  That is to say that buyers and sellers must have a generally agreed upon statement of what constitutes the categories from 1 to 5.  After all one person's "very fast" (it shipped within a week) could be another person's "very slow".  Subjective ratings are open to interpretation and all one sees is the feedback comment and the ratings not how the person determined the ratings.  I think this is a discussion that would help to improve the feedback system and make it a more accurate reflection of how both buyers and sellers do business in this arena.

It seems now that Ebay let now the sellers decide when it is ok to receive an item  Not exactly. EBay removes Seller Protection if the seller does not ship within seven days. Which has been the policy for many years. The delivery time is mostly due to the shipping service (China Post, USPS, Canada Post) although if an overseas seller uses Surface Shipping, he should understand that it will be on the high seas for six weeks to three months. The 'expected delivery time' is given by the shipping service not by the seller. Paypal is now allowing buyers to open disputes for up to 180 days**, in part as a reaction to unhappy buyers who have been hornswoggled into waiting past the former 45 day deadline for delivery. So really, there is now more power in the hands of the buyer. In my opinion, and I have lots of opinions. no buyer should wait more than 30 days for a delivery.Normal delivery from Europe* is 10 to 15 days. From Canada or the USA 15 to 20 days. From Asia 20 to 30 days. After that contact the seller and if neither tracking information nor a refund arrives within 24 hours, open a Dispute.    *European sellers use Air Mail as default. Asian sellers, especially those using Free Shipping, use Surface as a default. **(Or just don't ship at all and then promise a replacement which never arrives, but by then the Dispute period of 45 days has passed.)

  • Excited, then disappointed

I had heard of Flash Catalyst ever since I went to Mix09 in Vegas. There our appetites were whetted with the promise that a new interaction design tool would be coming out of Adobe, with the power of Flash but much easier to use. The actual thing was a mystery, but it was interesting to wait for it.
Our company recently upgraded to CS5 and now I have it. I was completely blown away watching the tutorial videos and learning how to do some neat little "Hello World" type of applications.
This has some serious potential I thought, and began to tell my team about it.
Then, this week, I began to try a serious proof of concept with it. It would be an interactive demo of the newly developed mobile app for the Time & Expense entry system for our company, which our developers were working to build on Android, iPhone, and Win7. The initial clickthroughs were already done by a team member on the UX Design team (which I lead) using InDesign and turning it into a clickable PDF. I thought this was a good roadmap to base my POC on.
I imported the PSD into FC and began working away. That's when the dissapointment hit.
Simple things that you should be able to do, like assign the hover, focusIn and focusOut states on a text field, you can't do.
I wanted the "username" text in a login box to disappear when you clicked into the textbox, and learned that there are only two states, active and disabled.
I learned that you have to create a custom component to try to emulate the other states, which I tried to do, only to find that it produced an error when I ran the project
I learned that the project wouldn't run, and found the MXML error in code view, but couldn't edit out the line that was causing the error. In fact, there's no editing of any MXML file at all in FC. You have to jump over to Flash Builder to fix one teeny little thing.
I now face the prospect of never knowing how to get my project to run, except to start all over, because FC won't let me undo past the point of where I might have introduced the problem.
I learned that normal hypertext is not supported, and you have to jump through similar hoops to just click on text to show a PDF.
I learned that you can't rearrange the order of states so that you can change which is your start screen, and though you can create a default screen state for any state, it makes no sense visually to have it in the middle of your list of states, when it should be the first state in your states blocks.
    Too many problems.
I'm pretty close to saying that Flash Catalyst should not have been released till Adobe figured out these things and polished up a bit more. This is an interaction development tool, and you can't do half the kinds of interactions I can do with plain HTML, CSS and Javascript. I don't want to write code for my prototypes. I want to deliver a prototype within a day or two and get sign off for my developers to start working on optimized codebase.
Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of power there, but Adobe has missed the boat and turned FC into what the military might call "a flying gas can." It gets off the ground, and can show you some nice sights, but it can't really DO the job of hitting targets.
So, unfortunately, I may have to give in and turn my sights on Microsoft's ASP/.net -centric Expression Blend and see where that takes me.

Shop around for a bit on eBay, I bought one of these for less than $10 including delivery to Europe (from Canada).
Works fine with my iSight on my Mac Pro.

I've read quite a few posts (and written a couple myself) where people complain about TNT's delivery times. Now, being sick at home and waiting for my MacBook to make it out of China I was wondering:
If you live in Europe and have already received your MacBook, how many days did you have to wait from ordering it and actually receiving it?

  • Delivery from project appearing in billing due list

    Hi,
We have a scenario in which delivery is done through project (Tcode CNS0) and the billing is done through sales order (order related billing)
The delivery type LP used for the delivery is not assigned to billing type since we are not supposed to do billing with respect to delivery document.
But these delivery documents are appearing in billing due list (VF04) and remain there in the due list
We want delivery documents (from project) NOT to appear in the billing due list.
    Please help.

    Hi Shambhu,
Lets assume ZLP is not relevant for billing and if delivery is done then how can excise invoice ibe generated.
Issue is delivery doc type LP is assigned to billing type which is meant for excise invoice and not assigned to billing type of final invoice.
Now in India, why LP is assigned to excise invoice billing type, because for every delivery excise invoice is created.
But for the same delivery type LP in europe, excise is not created and hence these documents remain there in billing due list.
The issue can only be resolved if europe starts using another delivery type like ZLP which is not assigned to any billing type, but again that seems to be very difficult to implement at this moment of time.
    Thanks Shambhu.

  • Different Unit of weight, Delivery KG and LB

    Hi all,
we're working with a material master record within several countries. Managed and also used in Europe. So MARA-GEWEI is posted with KG, therefore the sales order and at the end the delivery refers to this weight unit.
Our US friends using a scale with weight unit LB and during packing they should update the HU weight using "VL02n". The scale couldn't be integrated (no it-interface), therefore the data will be entered manually and we expect a lot of missentered data.
Any idea how to change the weight unit in the sales order / delivery? Do we have to use an user exit during order creation implementing "UNIT_CONVERSION_SIMPLE" or is there any other solution?
The T006 is maintained with LB / KG, the User Own data were also checked ... forgotten anything?
    Thanks and best regards,
    Dirk

Thanks you for the quick answer.
However the alternative unit of measure is not our aim, we're looking for a different unit of weight.
The articles were ordered with unit of measure PC and we want to determine the right weight for the parcel, once with a scale in KG and once in LB (as it is regular unit of weight in US).
    Regards,
    Dirk

  • Split one salesorder item into two items in delivery

We want to split one salesorder item into two different items in the same delivery.
This is because we will pick the material from two different storage locations.
Any user-exit to use for solving this?
    Best regards,
    Terje

    Hi,
We are not using batch management.
I have looked into the foreign trade/customs standard functionality in SAP, but I can not see that them difference in stock in SAP what is duty paid or not.
We need to have documentation in the system for the custom goverement for what stock is duty paid and not.
For the same material we can have stock which are duty paid and not duty paid. This is decided when we do the goods receipt.
For stock coming from Asia, it is profitable to have this on not duty paid stock since we are exporting it back to Europe and Asia later.
We will send import and export EDI messages to a third party custom application handling all the papers with the custom goverement.
The only we need to make track on in SAP is the stock for what is duty paid and not.
In some situations we need to take stock from both duty paid stock and not duty paid stock when we deliver the same material to a customer. Therefor I asked the question of splitting one delivery item into two items.
    Best regards,
    Terje

  • Actual GR Date in Inbound Delivery takes current Date

    Hello Everybody,
The Output SPED gets issued after PGI from the Outbound in an Intercompany, it generates an Inbound automatically.
Problem: On the Inbound the field "Actual GR Date" gets populated with the same date as when PGI occurs. The PGI occurs in the US Plant while the PGR is supposed to occur in Europe. The Route Transit Time is 30 days.
Example: If the PGI Date is today, 18th May the system populates the Inbound Delivery field "Actual GR Date" as 18th May.
    Research into Causes:
It appears the system is not adding the Route Transit Time. We used the "New Route Determination Time" the the value "A" for the Inbound as well as the Outbound and we do not maintain entries in Table TROAL. Yet, the Inbound still populates with the PGI Date from the Outbound.
    Business Impact:
The ATP in Europe considers Stock In-Transit for real-time updates. So, this Inbound gets considered for ATP in Europe starting from today's date, 18th May 2011; so Europe will start promising their customers that these goods will be available from today; however, in reality the products will be available in Europe only after 30 days. This is the impact of the field "Actual GR Date" on the Inbound Delivery.
    Thanks,
    SR

Check the SPED functional module how the atcual date is passing.Check with technical team if they can insert alogic the actual date should be after PGI date +30 days as the delay required to reach the material. If you are not able to insert the logic then stop passing the actual GR date in GR.I think it is possible.

  • UK Delivery - How long was it for you guys?

really didn't know where to put this topic, so sorry if it's in the wrong place.
Basically just curious to know how long delivery normally is, I ordered a quad G5 yesterday or so, order status says it should be shipped by Jan 12th, but while completing the order it said delivery should take 5-7 days, 10 days at most etc.. but i am finding it hard to believe in this day and age and from such a company like Apple that Next Day delivery wasn't an option.
Am i really going to have to wait a week for delivery?? bad enough having to wait a week for the building etc...? what length of time have you guys experienced from shipping to delivery?? i want my G5 now! :o
    NB- refers to UK orders

Just as reference for those awaiting delivery, i'll just run through the various stages i experienced. Ordered 5th January, Powermac G5, Cinema Display and Ipod Nano with other various accessories.
Estimated Shipping Date was 12th Jan.
Actual Shipping Date was 9th Jan.
The G5 was shipped via Kuhne & Nagel Spedition s.a r., the package was picked up from Cork, Ireland at 18:15. The remaining items were picked up by Flextronics c/o Express Cargo , i am unsure where it came from originally, but i assume it was these items that caused the slight delay. As all items need to accumulate in one place before being handed over to UPS or TNT.
I called Apple yesterday (12th Jan) they had no extra information than that on the Tracking page, and said delivery was estimated for 17th Jan, but he said could come sooner, which it did, it arrived today (13th Jan).
Early this morning, the Tracking page changed. All the items, except the PC, were under the Carrier name of FLEX POST & HUB UK.. this changed to APPLE EUROPE, MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA, and new tracking numbers had been applied to ALL the items. After some googling i discovered the new numbers belonged to UPS.. a quick visit to their website turned up some results. They had revieved the packages yesterday, and had been sent out for delivery this morning...
Packages recieved at 12:05 13th January. So for me build time was 3-4 days, and shipping was 3-4 days. All under the estimates. I think the ipod and the extras that resulted in the 1-2 delay, from what i've read apart from John Keith's experience, is that shipping usually takes no more than 3days after you get the shipping confirmation.
All in all very happy, Apple's tracking page should display more and update more, a fair majority of the info i recieved was due to a lot of googling and trial and error. I've yet to open the pc and monitor so can't comment on the state, read some horror stories so am waiting with trepidation mixed with huge excitement!!!
hope this is of some help
