Delta extraction for FI (AR & AP) data sources

I tried extracting the data from 2 standard SAP data sources under FI module for Accounts Receivable.
0FI_AR_10(Customer payment history via delta extraction)
0FI_AR_5 (customer payment history)
The data to be extracted into 0FIAR_C05(payment history) info cube.I assigned the 2 data sources to an info source and pumped the data into the cube via an ODS.Now the problem is with delta extraction.No records are picked in the delta extraction.So I checked in extractor checker RSA3 with delta update mode.I got the following error.
"Could not determine BW release of logical system"
Could some one resolve the issue?Thanks in advance.

There is no active Init to ur DS is in place. And hence u need to take an Init.
Try to maintain different IP's one is for the Init and other one is for the Delta.... the one in the PC will be holds good for the Delta..
Try create an Init IP if its not there already and then proceed with the load... if there is no data in the target data target as of now.....
If u have data on the target but some one has deleted the Init flag then u need to check whether all the requests has got posted to the target data target or not.. if not u need to take care of the action accordinly with the initi-Withoutdata transfer and then proceed with the Deltas...

what do you mean by extraction type? your question is not clear.
if you are looking for weather we can use the full/delta type to extract the data
then you can check in the Check in ROOSOURCE tables in ECC. You can find the various options in DELTA field.

Delta Extraction for 0FI_GL_6

Hi,
We are facing a problem in the delta extraction for the data source <b>0FI_GL_6</b>. 0 Records are populated into BW whereas in the Extract checker (RSA3) of the source system shows 1000 records. Moreover the delta queue (RSA7) has an entry for 0FI_GL_6 but no data is displayed inside it.

BW1 transaction for mapping newfield to data source in CRM

This will be BW gurus working in the CRM Opportunity area.
Based on my current understanding I have copied the 0CRM_OPPT_H into ZCRM_OPPT_H and wanted to see whether I can map more partner function to map to the data source.
Currently, the following fields are offered by the SAP Delivered data source 0crm_oppt_h in CRM.

How can we extend the mapping in BWA1 after extending/appending the extraction structure (CRMT_BW_OPPT_H) of the data source? Shall we continue to map these addition fields in the data source to PARTNER-PARTNER_NO as mentioned above? What puzzles us that this is header info and the PARTNER_NO is able to bring info for different partner func.. How this is being possible?
If we also map the same for the additional partner fields will we be able to aviod the BADI/User exit and the code associated that populated these fields?
What is the BKM? How the BWA1 can be used for Extending for more partrner( functions?)

while this is really helpful to enable me to dig into further, the basic question is not yet answered.
Currently the data source 0CRM_OPPT_H are able to extract the following partner data
contact person
prospect
channel pertner
empoyee responsible
However only one( contact person 00000017) is mentioned in our CRM system in the SPRO steps that you have shown.. My first question is how then the data source is able to get the other partner function....
2> Secondly even if I mention all the partner functions in that transaction( as you have mentioned) how do the data source really know where to populate which partner function data.. since the bdoc mapping is Partner-partne_no...
For example if I maintain the following in SPRO
00000017 contact person
00000026 emplyee responsible
How do the data source gets rightly populated ( contact person value in the contact_person field and vice versa).. when the BDOC Mapping for both these two fields are simply partner-partner_no?

Hi All,
Can someone help me for the delta extraction for 0ASSET_ATTR_TEXT datasource.
Steps performed as per SAP Help
1. Activated the BADI
2. Ran the initialization without datatransfer infopackage.
3. Created new records in R/3 side
4. I can see the newly created records in the Table : BWFIAA_AEDAT_AS
5. Ran the delta infopackage ( no records are getting updated)
When i check in RSA3 with the delta update, its giving an error.
Please guide me if i am missing any steps

Master Data Datasources do allow for delta extraction. You can display datasource in RSA6 and check if it is delta enabled. You will have to initialize with delta to perform delta extraction. RSA7 will give you delta queues in R/3

Delta extraction for dunning history is not active

I am loading data to the FI Cube (Financial A/c -> Contract a/c receivables ) Dunning header .
This is a Standard infocube. This cube contains two DSOu2019S 0FC_DS08 , 0FC_DS11. When I starting the data loading from the DSO ( 0FC_DS08 ), I create the INIT package . When creating itself it throwing the error u201C Delta extraction for dunning history is not active u201D
When I check on SDN SAP , ( Use Tcode sbiw. Select 'Settings for apllication-specific datasources (PI) ->Contract Aacounts Receivable -> Make Central Settings'. Then tick 'Delta Extraction for Dunning Items Active'.) I got this link. But I could not proceed this link. Can you explain detailed step by step how to proceed to solve this issue.

Excel, PowerView error in SharePoint 2013: "An error occurred while loading the model for the item or data source 'EntityDataSource'. Verify that the connection information is correct and that you have permissions to access the data source."

I've installed SQL Server 2012 SP1 + SP server 2012 + SSRS and PowerPivot add-in.
I also configured excel services correctly. Everything works fine but the powerview doesn't work!
While I open an excel workbook consist of a PowerView report an error occurs: "An error occurred while loading the model for the item or data source 'EntityDataSource'. Verify that the connection information is correct and that you have permissions

Based on the current error message, the error can be related to the
Claims to Windows Token Service (C2WTS) and is an expected error under certain conditions. To verify the issue, please check the aspects below:
     1. The C2WTS Windows service and C2WTS SharePoint service are both running.
     2. Check the SQL Server Browser service is running on the machine that has the PowerPivot instance of SSAS.
     3. Check the domain. You're signing into SharePoint with a user account in some domain (call it Domain A). When Domain A is equal to Domain B which SharePoint server itself is located (they're the same domain), or Domain
A trusts Domain B.
In addition, the error may be caused by Kerberos authentication issue due to missing SPN. In order to make the Kerberos authentication work, you need to configure the Analysis Services to run under a domain account, and register the SPNs for the Analysis
Services server.
To create the SPN for the Analysis Services server that is running under a domain account, run the following commands at a command prompt:
• Setspn.exe -S MSOLAPSvc.3/Fully_Qualified_domainName OLAP_Service_Startup_Account
Note: Fully_Qualified_domainName is a placeholder for the FQDN.

We are trying to configure the Power View in SharePoint 2013. We did the entire configuration by following below steps. When we open the excel workbook (2013) containing
Power View sheet (using excel web services) deployed in SharePoint Document library, we get the below error.
“An error occurred while loading the model for the item or data source
'EntityDataSource'. Verify that the connection information is correct and that you have permissions to access the data source.”
Steps followed for configuring Power View in SharePoint Server 2013 (Single Machine setup):
Installed SharePoint Server 2013 Enterprise edition
Did not configure it at this time
Installed SQL Server 2012 with default instance installation (selected every features)
Later installed SP1 for SQL Server 2012
After that installed Analysis Server in SharePoint mode (SQL Server PowerPivot for SharePoint)
Again installed another Analysis Server and selected the tabular mode of data model
Then ran the configuration wizard of Share point 2013 for farm configuration (only for central admin creation)
Later we ran the PowerPivot for SharePoint 2013 (spPowerpivot.msi)
Then using the Power Pivot Configuration tool for 2013 and completed all the steps and configured the excel service and registered the above two analysis service instances.
Questions/Doubts are:
Is our steps followed as mentioned above is correct for configuring Power View in SharePoint Server 2013 Enterprise edition?
Is the SQL Server 2012 Enterprise edition with SP1 installed is sufficient to view Power View sheets in SharePoint 2013 or we need to use the SQL Server 2012 SP1

I'll bet that I know the answer to this one - and you probably won't like it ;)
Here's the telling portion of that error: "We cannot locate a server to load the workbook Data Model."
This error is thrown in two scenarios; the first, when you haven't registered an analysis server. The second appears to be the issue you're having:
PowerPivot requires SQL Server 2012 SP1. Microsoft issued a release of SQL Server 2012 SP1 that really wasn't SP1...
Check the version of SQL that you are running. It should be version 11.0.3000 or greater. If it's not, you have the wrong "SP1" installed. The correct one is
here.
Here's the bad news- you can't simply redeploy the correct one... because the installer already thinks that SP1 is installed. You'll have to backup (or detach and copy) your databases, then re-install SQL with the correct SP1, then restore or reattach
the databases. Once you've done that, PowerPivot and PowerView will work properly.
I sincerely hope this resolves your issues - we wasted TWO WEEKS of our time with this problem!

Do not Extract from PSA but Access Data Source (for Small Amounts of Data)

In the DTP, the above option is available for Full Loads for certain extractors but not for others, particularly, certain HR extractors?
Is there a way to make it available for HR extractors? Is there a setting that needs to be updated in ECC or in BI?

There is no special setting for this, Please see the detail description:
Data is not extracted from the PSA for the DataSource; it is requested from the data source directly at DTP runtime.
Use
You use this mode for small data sets and full uploads, for example, small sets of master data. With file source systems, note that the file has to be available on the application server.
Dependencies
You do not have to create an InfoPackage in order to extract data from the source.
Data in the data source is accessed in "direct access mode". This has certain consequences, especially if you are extracting data from SAPI systems:
Data is extracted synchronously. This places a particular demand on the main memory, especially in remote systems.
The SAPI extractors may respond differently than during asynchronous load since they receive information by direct access.
SAPI customer enhancements are not processed. Fields that have been added using the append technology of the DataSource remain empty. The exits RSAP0001, exit_saplrsap_001, exit_saplrsap_002, exit_saplrsap_004 do not run.
If errors occur during processing in BI, you have to extract the data again since the PSA is not available as a buffer. This means that deltas are not possible.
In the DTP, the filter only contains fields that the DataSource allows as selection fields. With an intermediary PSA, you can filter in the DTP by any field.

Problems with Delta Extraction for 0CRM_OPPT_H (no data found)

Hi,
I've some problems with the Delta Extraction of the Infosource 0crm_oppt_h (CRM Opportunities Header). After initialization I get no delta data from the CRM system.
What I already did:
Activated 0crm_oppt_h Data Source (checked functionality with rsa3)
Started Info Package (Init) on BW side (worked fine)
Checked the status of the Data Source on the CRM system using BWA7 ("initial upload" is unmarked; "delta active" is marked and what makes me worry is that the column "Queue exists" in <i>unmarked</i>...)
If I change anything (like Phase, Expected Sales Vol.) in the opportunity, the Delta Extraction get no changes.
Could You help me out, please?

Reason and Prerequisites
There is an update on the generated delta table which causes data corruption in running delta initializations as the changed delta sets will be deleted with every further update on documents. An open cursor statement is there without fetch data in SMOX3_GET_DATA.
Solution
The problem is solved with the attached corrections.After applying the corrections a new initialization of the affected datasources is necessary.

Delta field not enabled for selection in generic data source

Hi
I have created a generic data source for the table VBFA....and for the delta pick up i have put the delta option as CALDAY on the field ERDAT...and i have selected that field for the selection option. but after i made it delta enabled the selection option got disabled.
Now when i check the info package delta selection tab that date column is not apperaing.
But when i have to run the info package for the first i dont want all the data as it has a huge set of data.
I wanted to take only this months data.
So is there any option to be set to enable this selection in info package.
please suggest.

Hi there,
That's the stardard behaviour. If you use delta based om ERDAT, that field won't be available for selecting.
You could for example try to build a view over VBFA, and let the field ERDAT there and another field, for example ZERDAT (that is just another alias for ERDAT). Create the delta based onyour view over the field (ERDAT), but you can still control the restrictions over the extractore with your ZERDAT.
I don't know if this is possible, this is only an assumption.
Another option could be first to create an extractor based on the table VBFA but without delta, that field ERDAT would be available. Do your full data restricting it, and after that, change your datasource to use deltas based on ERDAT. It will be unavailable than, but since you've already loaded previous full data, you could than use your delta like it is. But here, remember, your deltas will bring new and change data based on ERDAT. If it brings delta based on changed data over ERDAT to a record that you didn't brought over your full (only some data), it will be incorrect records.
Also just an assumption, did not try it.

We want to create some R/3 delta extracts based on the HR PA* tables using the ALE delta extract function of generic extractor. Has anyone done this before? Are there any OSS notes or documents that I should look at? Thanks!

This is very old message. I think your problem must be solved. If it is not then: yes we can extract Data from R/3 with ALE Delta .
You have to perform below steps.
1.     In your Table you need to activate ALE change   pointer.
2.     Create change documents for required table.
3.     Created Generic Extractor with ALE Delta.
