Delta load - LIS extractor to several target - test load to single target

Hi
I want have a daily delta load from a LIS extractor to 3 targets (ODS's). I would like to make a test delta load to one of the 3 targets (because it has been reconstructed).
Will it cause any problems if I make a delta load from the LIS extractor to one of the targets and not all of the targets? Will the records that I loaded in my test load arrive in the two other targets when the daily delta runs later on?

Hi Torben,
you can do this if you first load the data to PSA, because when you load the data with delta infopack the delta queue will be reset in source system. But the data will remain in PSA, so you can upload again (to same infoprovider or different one if update rules exists) from PSA.

Loading accdb file using for each loop in to single target table

I have 3 accdb file as below in single folder, in control flow I have created a for each loop to loop through all the below file. In dataflow task I have created oledb source using connection manager to point to first file a1.accdb. I am trying
to load all the file into single below mentioned target table, here It is only loading first file it is not looping through other two file.
This I have tried to load .txt files and csv files it is working perfectly but similarly when I try to load access db file table it is not working, can any one of you help me?
1. a1.accdb contains only one table a1tab ( col1 col2 col3 )
2. a2.accdb contains only one table a2tab ( col1 col2 col3 )
3. a3.accdb contains only one table a3tab ( col1 col2 col3 )

How do you handle the different table names? Cant we handle it in a similar manner, how we handle the .csv/.txt files with different name and similar structure for sources(multiple files) and target (single table)
Is it good to drop the idea of for each loop and create a separate task for each accdb file? to be loaded to same target table( performance wise etc.. any justification would be helpful)

Here is our scenerio:
I am referring to the LO Cockpit.
We have deltas coming over to a DSO that has a key of order number, material and batch. Now, when the order is created, for example, it will have batch NULL because we have not determined what batch to use yet. It could remain like this for days. In the meantime this record comes over to BW...just fine and updates. Now, we have decided for this order that exists in BW with a batch of NULL that we allocate a batch to it now. Now this record comes over to BW and it creates a new record. So we have 2 records in BW, one with batch NULL and one with batch updated. We really only want to see the record with batch updated.
We also thought about, what happens if we assign a batch (after the record came over to BW as batch NULL), then this creates 2 records as mentioned above and then now we change this batch to yet another batch. Now when this record comes over to BW this order will have 3 records by batch, yet only the latest is valid.
So we thought a full load would work, which it would. How do you handle such a scenerio for deltas? We load to DSO as mentioned and then push to a Cube.

If I'd had that problem and done things that you'd done and seen no results. I'd delete FF again but this time fully - clean the registry as well. Then I'd remove java environment and everything related to it, sdk, jre etc...Reboot the PC and reinstall the newest version of FF, then download the latest versions of java platforms, sdk etc... and reinstall the as well.

Extension of LIS extractor - possible to delta enable field from Z-table?

Hi Experts
We have to get data from a date field in a custom Z-table (delivery related) in R/3 to BW.
We would like to get the date by extending a delivery LIS extractor with a new field and make some ABAP to lookup the correct value in the custom Z-table.
A requirement is though that if the date in Z-table is changed then we need to get the update value to BW. Therefore, we need to delta enable the new field in the append structure - but that ain't possible is it?
Alternatively will we have to make a new DataSource based on the custom Z-table and somekind of full load (with a fake delta).

If your custom Z-table does not contain too much data and doesn't change too often it might be an option to turn on DB logging (Technical settings -> Log data changes). Do not do this for large tables containing transactional data as the logs will consume a lot of diskspace!
Each insert/mod/deletion will be logged and in in a user-exit you can use FM DBLOG_READ_WITH_STATISTIC to check if something has changed and then append the corresponding data to your data package.

In our case we are expecting very huge volumes even for master data loads and although limited columns our rows could be well in excess of 50 Million lines. Is there an option to delta enable i.e. could I create a generic and delta on text? do standard extractors provide this functionality?

Update Delta for 0CRM_SALES_ACT_1 extractor

Hello,
I need update in BW a register modified in CRM (crm_order "activity contact") but the extractor 0CRM_SALES_ACT_1 doesn't work correctly.
However when I create a new register (crm_order ("activity contact")) in CRM this extractor work fine and it update delta the ODS 0CSAL_C01.
somebody can say to me because the update delta in this extractor doesn't work correctly.

Well - as far as I know, that is not possible.
If you try it with just two subpanels and the same vi to place in the subpanel, you once get error 1145 (LabVIEW: Cannot open VI because it is already in a subpanel control.).
One way you could code a similar functionality was the usage of a tab-control. You could place your "views" on 5 tabs, make the tab-registers invisible and access the single tabs using a drop-down.

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. I'm using a new Wordpress theme that is meant to be responsive. The large image is for a header, than you scroll down to see the rest, one by one. Some one the pages work OK on my iPad, typically the old ones where the maximum image size was 500 x 500. It's the new pages and those I've updated that are causing the problem. On the iPad the large image loads, then a couple of the small ones become visible as I scroll down, but then darkness (rather like my knowledge level).
Being new to IOS and iPads, I'm trying to work out whether I should be looking here, or amongst the Wordpress stuff for a solution.

Getting TF42008: The test case management package could not be loaded. Verify that Visual Studio Test Tool is installed and try again.

We are trying to run unit tests in TFS server.
Below is the System Configuration:
Visual studio version: VS 2013 Ultimate
TFS: TFS 2013
For this we have created a build and able to run the build successfully. And build page showing one link for Test result. When we click on this link, we got below error message.
"Getting TF42008: The test case management package could not be loaded. Verify that Visual Studio Test Tool is installed and try again."
And below is the screenshot of the error message. So please let us know is there and thing else we need to do to solve this issue?

Yes, if you want to open and view test result on your laptop, you need install the VS 2013 on your laptop as well.

LIS extractors with 2 BW systems

Hi
Is it possible to have a single source system with LIS extractors going to 2 different BW systems? This is part of a migration from an existing BW system to another (various reasons.)
Do you have to do another initialisation on the new system?

Extractor Designing to improve the Load performance.

I am extracting the data from MM application for this i am using the LO 2lis_02_itm extractor and i had enhanced it with 32 field and its happering my data load performance.
Could u pls let me know, how can i improve the data load performance.
Do i need to create the different Generic Extractors instead of enhancing the LO.
The DSO is also having many fields in it. Should i split it into 2 and create the Multiprovider for reporting.

my suggestion would be to create another generic DS for the logcal set of fields to be required in BI.
then you can load then seperately to different DSOs and then to single IC or to two IC and use MP to report on them.

SEVERE: Servlet threw load() exception

I am trying to load servlet in Tomcat 5.5 . It is throwing an exception as follows. The LicenseAuthentication class exists in WEB-INF/Class directory. So it is not the problem.
1. In lib folder there is no servlet.jar. If I put that I am getting different exception.
2. In my servlet In init(), doPost() and doGet method implementation.
3. In web.xml I had put the <load-on-start> parameter as 1.
Can someone help immediately ? I am stuck with this issue for long time ?

This is just Java 101. The NoClassDefFoundError simply means that the mentioned class is missing in the runtime classpath (while it was available in the classpath during compilation, this is the key difference with ClassNotFoundException).
