Delta not supported by LIS

Hi BW experts,
I created a infostructure s800 for sales & distribution application and generated a datasource on it, i'm able to upload the data from this datsource through full update mode into BW.
But i'm unable to load the data through delta upload, the information after executing "display settings" option shows a point "Information 023     Delta updating is not possible in LIS".
Why is this happening, cant we do the delta upload through customized infostructures.
Ur valuable information will be rewarded.
thanks & regards

Hi Pradip,
once again thanks for ur efforts,
here in my prd system the log is as follows:
010 Settings for Business Information Warehouse Customizing
011 Information structure: S800.
014 LIS environment has been set up
022 'Complete update' mode is supported
024 The 'delta update' mode is not supported
026 Delta updating is not possible in LIS
003 DataSource: 2LIS_01_S800 was generated
apart from 24 & 26 points everything is the same, why it happened so i'm unable to analyse the problem. As it is mentioned i'm unable to load the data through delta, the error message in BW shows:
"Faulty DataSource 2LIS_40_S800 or error in LIS environment for S800".
i was able to do the init but the delta failed with the above error message.
is there any other way without using the ODS to load the delta data, as the data generated daily is huge.
regards.

  • Last Delta Not Supported for this extractor

    Hi,
please someone knows what extractors are supported by the "REPEAT DELTA" in BW 3.1 SP 15?
    It's very urgent, points safe.
    Thanks in advance.
    Michelangelo.

    Hi,
welcome to the forums. Before asking a question I would recommend to use the search funtionality as this type of question has already been asked. Additionally, don't offer points and don't call any of your thread URGENT. Therefore please read the 'rules of engagement', the very first thread in each forum.

  • How to extract data using DSources which do not support Delta

    Hi forum,
Iam using a data source which does not support delta. In such a scenario what should i do For subsequent extractions. Will i have to opt for full load every time, if so then how will the double data records be treated. Pls help me out of this situation. In RSA6 if i click on the data source there i can find a check box for enabling delta , but again that is greyed out. If i want to change that what steps should i follow.
All the helpfull answers and solutions would be thanked by assigning full points.
    Regards
    Pallavi

Can you give me the data source name please.
If it is a standard Business Content Datasource and it does not support delta(or delta is not enabled) then you dont have any choice to modify the standard Datasources. In such cases you can create a Generic DS same as Standard DS and enable delta.
    Hope this helps.

  • Master Data loading got failed: error "Update mode R is not supported by th

    Hello Experts,
I use to load master data for 0Customer_Attr though daily process chain, it was running successfully.
For last 2 days master data loading for 0Customer_Attr got failed and it gives following error message:
"Update mode R is not supported by the extraction API"
Can anyone tell me what is that error for? how to resolve this issue?
    Regards,
    Nirav

    Hi
Update mode R error will come in the below case
You are running a delta (for master data) which afils due to some error. to resolve that error, you make the load red and try to repeat the load.
This time the load will fail with update mode R.
As repeat delta is not supported.
So, now, the only thing you can do is to reinit the delta(as told in above posts) and then you can proceed. The earlier problem has nothing to do with update mode R.
example your fiorst delta failed with replication issue.
only replicating and repeaing will not solve the update mode R.
you will have to do both replication of the data source and re-int for the update mode R.
One more thing I would like to add is.
If the the delat which failed with error the first time(not update mode R), then
you have to do init with data transfer
if it failed without picking any records,
then do init without data transfer.
    Hope this helps
    Regards

  • ERROR: Update mode C is not supported by the extraction API - R3 11

    Hi gurus,
I just tryed to implement the solution I found at this link:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/d3219af2-0c01-0010-71ac-dbb4356cf4bf
The data source is based on an Infoset on the KONV R/3 Table.
I setted the AIM delta process and I did all the activities as written in the document.
The process works if I load data to bw in "full", with "Init without data transfer" and "delta" mode. Of course if I change a Purchase document, it will be posted in the delta queue and then loaded to bw with the next delta load.
The "initialize delta process" (with data) doesen't work and returns the following error:
Update mode C is not supported by the extraction API
the error code is R3 11.
have you any idea about it???
    Thanks!!!
    Regards!
    Matteo

    Hi,
for me it sounds quite simple. It is that the update mode 'C' get flagged as 'not allowed' for this extractor. Did you check with rsa3? I guess you will get the same error message. May be you can start debugging in rsa3 to find the place where the update mode gets checked.
Anyway, it shouldn't be a issue as you have a workaround. May be you should raise a error message at sap because of this.

  • The extraction program does not support object 0MAT_PLANT

Pessoal alguém já passou por este problema?
Estou tentando fazer um delta no objeto 0MAT_PLANT, mas me retorna sempre este erro.
Já fiz um novo Init, mas o erro continua.
The extraction program does not support object 0MAT_PLANT
    Message no. R3009
    Diagnosis
The application program for the extraction of data was called up using the invalid InfoSource/invalid InfoObject 0MAT_PLANT.
    System Response
    The data extraction is terminated.
    Procedure
Check the SAP Support Portal for the appropriate Notes and create a customer message if necessary.

    Hi Eduard ,
You can try the following steps to solve that
    1. Delete the previous Delta Init for the InfoObject
If you have access to R/3 Side you can follow the steps or you can follow the BW Steps
Goto RSA7 ->Select and Delete the Init Request for the InfoObject
    From BW Side
InfoPackage-> Inti for Source System -> Select & Delete
    the Init Request
    2. Execute the Init InfoPackage for the InfoPackage again.
    3. After successful completion, execute the delta InfoPackage.
Hope it solves your problem, if not pls let me know.

  • The extraction program does not support object 0JOB_ATTR

    HI all,
I'm getting the following error when execting 0JOB_ATTR extractor in R/3 system (via RSA3):
The extraction program does not support object 0JOB_ATTR
    Message no. R3009
    Diagnosis
The application program for the extraction of data was called up using the invalid InfoSource/invalid InfoObject 0JOB_ATTR.
    System Response
    The data extraction is terminated.
    Procedure
Check the SAP Support Portal for the appropriate Notes and create a customer message if necessary.
I've found various threads with this error (or similar ones), but none of them are solved (or not published solution). Haven't found any SAP notes yet either, so any input would be very helpfull.
    Thank you.
    G.

0JOB_ATTR not in use and SAP replaced this with 0EC_CJOB_ATTR... U have to use 0EC_CJOB_ATTR to load master data for 0JOB.
Even i faced the same problem and found the following info in one of the SDN thread, and we are using 0EC_CJOB_ATTR (make sure u have data in table HRP5050).
I have sent a message to SAP asking for the solution . Below is the reply what they gave.
"This error appears because of naming conventions we have to switch the name of the Data Source from 0JOB_ATTR to 0EC_CJOB_ATTR. Please use this data source to extract the compensation job attributes to BW.
Note also that data source 0EC_CJOB_ATTR extracts data from table HRP5050.
If no data is being extracted please do the following:
If you have data in HRP5050 and still do not get any data please try the following :
    1) Take over the Data Source from the business content (RSA5)again and check in RSA3 .
    2) Replicate the Data Source to BW
    3) Activate the Info Source again.
    4) Delete any previous delta initializations for the datasource.
    5) Initialize the delta again
    6) Try to load data".

  • BBPGETVD - error:backend systems with release 700 are not supported

    Hi,
When I am trying to replicate vendor data from EEC to crm 4.0 via BBPGETVD.
I get the error message"backend systems with release 700 are not supported"
Is anyone have Idea what is wrong? and how can fix it?
    Thanks,
    Rachel

    Yossi,
I believe that standard transaction does not work with ECC 6.0.  The standard response would be to upgrade your CRM system to 5.0 so that you can download vendors from ECC 6.0.
Bascially the vendor replication programs in CRM below 5.0 aren't really that reliable for delta downloads(one error will cause an entire load to fail).  So you probably at best should copy the SAP standards to generate custom load programs as a starting point.
It is not too difficult and overcomes some of the restrictions that SAP puts in place(i.e. you can only use one number range for vendors downloaded, etc.).  This is definitely one of the weak points of CRM 4.0 that was fixed in CRM 5.0.
If you have more questions on this let me know.
    Take care,
    Stephen

  • Firwirer connections are not supported?

My ipod reads "firewire connections are not supported. To transfer songs connect the USB cable provided."
I tried to copy a CD to my ipod. It was a copy of a CD from a friend from his ipod whch I guess is not compatable with mine. He ahs a PC. I have a mac. He ahs an old 60g ipod I have a new ipod culor 30 gb. My guess is that he has firwire connections and I have USB
I now cant turn off the ipod. I can play it but the battery goes very quickly.
It constantly reads the above message i.e firewire connected are not supported/
I HAVE RESTORED FACTORY SETTINGS AND DELTED THE CD FROM MY ITUNES. WHAT can I do?

Firewire connections are not supported. To transfer songs, connect the USB cable provided.
That is the same message I'm receiving on my iPod as of yesterday. We've been on vacation for a week and the iPod has worked flawlessly, just like it has since the day I got it. That is, until yesterday.
We were driving down the freeway when it started pausing, skipping, and generally giving me grief. I listen to it in the van via a connection through the cassette tape player. I've been using this set up since the day I got my 80gb video iPod.
For whatever reason, that message simply started popping up. I can't seem to get the center button trick to work most of the time, but occasionally it will. No matter what I do, I can't turn off my iPod any longer. It has to simply go to sleep.
So, I got home and the first order of business was using the option in iTunes to wipe the iPod clean, reset it to factory defaults, then reload all 60gbs worth of data onto it. I did that. I play around with it a bit this morning, but with nothing connected to it. It seemed to work fine and would turn off as normal.
I connected it to the cassette adapter a short while ago, got about 2 miles down the road, now its doing the same thing again. Its giving the same error message, skipping/pausing, and won't allow me to turn it off.
    Help?

  • Delta from Flexible Planning LIS InfoStructure

    Hello experts,
Is it possible to have delta updates for a custom InfoStructure where the updates are from flexible planning?
It appears that delta postings are only generated from the regeneration of the standard update rules and the planning updates do not add values to the delta tables (SXXXBIW1 and SXXXBIW2).
Please confirm if it is possible to get delta from flexible planning and what setup is required if it's possible.
    Thanks.

I sent a customer message to SAP and here is the answer from them:
Unfortunately, the functionality you are looking for is not available in the current Plug-in/BW releases. Also, it does not appear that this functionality is currently being developed.
The flexible planning transactions do not utilize the LIS delta tables so the data will not be included in the delta updates.
You may consider extracting the data via a generic extractor to an ODS object or other data target.

  • The extraction program does not support object 0MATERIAL

    Hi All,
can you please help me with the issue that we have for some of our Master data load.
Full Loads are working fine, Delta Init is working fine as well. but Delta load is not the error is "The extraction program does not support object 0MATERIAL"
already tried looking for some OSS note but none of them helps.
    hope anyone can help me.
    Thanks in advance,
    Alden

    Hi Christopher,
Below is the reply that I got from SAP Consultant:
I assume that this issue was happened after upgrade
which is already mentioned in the consulting notes 1165059 & 1251433:
-> 1165059 ALE: Generating and reading change pointers after Upgrade
-> 1251433 SAPI: Creating and reading change pointers after Upgrade
Can you have a look at these consulting notes to get more information
in details about ALE changing and follow my recommended steps to solve
    this problem please:
    1. Can you check this affected datasource in table ROOSGEN in source
system and you will find the generated Message Type in MSGTYP:
    ->Tx. se16 ROOSGEN:
    OLTPSOURCE SLOGSYS RLOGSYS MSGTYP ->???
    2. Then you can check this Message Type (RS*) in table TBDA2 and you
will see that the flag (BDCP2_ACT) is missing here in table TBDA2 :
    ->Tx. se16 ->TBDA2:
    MESTYP ACTIVE BDCP2_ACT
    RS* X (empty!)
    3. If the flage (BDCP2_ACT) is missing here in table TBDA2:
Then you have to do the following steps:
    ->start transaction SALE:
    Modelling and Implementing Business Processes
    Master Data Distribution
    Replication of Modified Data
Activate Change Pointers for Message Type
-> select the affected generated Message Type
-> RS* ->deavivate and activate again
Afterwards the missing flag should be set correct in TBDA2 again.
Please check it first and then you can start the delta upload in
your BW system side again. The data load should work correct now.
After carrying out the above steps we were able to re initialize the master data.
    Regards and Thanks,
    Vivek

  • Upload Error message: HTTPS protocol is not supported

    Hi,
Whenever I do a quick par upload i'm getting an 'Operation failed' message to check sap-plugin.log.
       Log says
Upload Error message: HTTPS protocol is not supported, please ensure this server is not using HTTPS. My webdynpro applications are getting deployed without any issues.
         How to resolve this?
    Thanks
    Sumathi

    Hi Sumathi,
As there are often problems with the Quick PAR Upload reported, I would suggest to use the "normal" PAR upload from the icon tray (you have to activate the portal icons in the icon tray). That is almost that "quick" (one or two clicks more needed, we don't talk about more than a second) and - it works (it least it should, and at least it works in most cases even if the Quick PAR Upload fails).
    Hope it helps

  • MacBook Mini-DVI to VGA - Samsung 32" LCD - Mode Not Supported

I followed the instructions on Apple's site to use the MacBook with the lid closed and an external LCD. It worked perfectly the first time I tried it. (I believe in 1920 x 1024). It seemed a little hard to read so I changed the Display resolution, then encountered the "Mode Not Supported" on my LCD. I unhooked and used my MacBook to change the settings back, but the MacBook seems to revert to the "Mode Not Supported" resolution when I close the lid. Any suggestions? Can I reset the Display Preferences on my MacBook?

I think this procedure should work, but it requires an external USB keyboard.
    - Shut down the Mac.
    - Have all the following connected:
    - MacBook power supply
    - External display
    - USB keyboard and mouse
    - Open the lid on the MacBook and hit the power button.
    - Immediately close the lid on the MacBook and start holding down the Shift key on the USB keyboard.
    - Release the Shift key once you see the spinning gear on the gray screen on the external display.
The above procedure should cause the Mac to start in Safe mode and hopefully will finish booting into a useable screen. If that is the case, go into Displays preferences and select a known working resolution different from the one the Mac started up in under Safe mode. Now restart normally. Hopefully the newly selected resolution will persist through the normal restart and you will have a working external screen again.
