Demand management - md61 or md62

Morning,
I have a problem, I would like to solve: I have a fert and below it have a halb, with two raw materials. The Fert MTO and MTS is at the same time. Because the client wants to be that way. Have tried different production strategies, however none can approach what my client wants.
Scenario: I have a demand is generated also a sales order, the customer would like currently MD61 or MD62 present the reduced demand value since the sale of the product, even before breeding.
Example: Demand (MD61) = 100, Sales Order 10 when consulting demand in md62 appears 90 have to be in MD62..
Is there any way to do this?
Thanks!!!

Hi

  • Which table are Demand Management data (MD61) are stored?

    Hello guys.
I need to know in which table demand management data from (MD61, 62 and 63) are stored?
Also I need to know if there is some tips/rules to prepare a load from a file to come from Excel spreadsheet?
Is there any BADI or BAPI to load these information directly into the table?
Just for information: My current client doesn't use SAP yet. It's being planned to make the implementation in the middle of the next year...besides they use SAP in other plants around the world...
The main idea is to use MRP from SAP to get the suggestion for purchase requisitions and also planned orders and proceed the production and purchase activities in the legacy....
    Please give me some instructions.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Harlen
This information is stored on tables PBED and PBIM.
You can use BAPI BAPI_REQUIREMENTS_CREATE to load data to demand management.

  • Demand management planning strategy

    Hi there,
I am trying to set up demand management for simple make to stock. I am using standard requirements type LSF which is linked to requirements class 100.(OMP1) The requirements class has a planning indicator (PLNKZ) set to "1" (net requirements planning) in OMPO. This is what I want as we want the warehouse stock to be taken into account when procurement proposals are generated. The planning strategy assigned to the material master has the "1" setting (net requirements planning). However when I run MRP after entering planned independent requirements for LSF (MD61), the purchasing requisitions proposed are just for the independent requirements and ignore warehouse stock. There is a line in the Stock / Requirements list that says "Gross Requirements Planning" Does anyone know where it is picking up "Gross Requirements Planning" instead of Net Requirements Planning (i.e. check what is in stock before creating procurement proposals)
    Any assistance is appreciated.
    thanks
    D

    Hi Suhas,
I don't want mixed MRP as such but when I cannot get any procurement proposals (requisitions) when the setting is blank. It may be elsewhere that the procurement proposal is - I am still checking.
However, when I choose "2" for mixed MRP, it does generate requsitions (but gives me the other problem where warehouse stock is not taken into account)
The requirements class 100 has an entry "1" for planning indicator and "1" for requirements category. All other columns are blank at the moment. I am in the process of experimenting with these next.
thanks for your help so far.

  • Tranfser from demand management to SOP

    Hello All,
is it possible to send  data from demand management (eg.MD61) to SOP - standard information structure S076 or flexible planning ?
The idea is to put values directly to MD61 and use them later in flexible planning
    thanks a lot
    KS

    Dear,
It is not possible. In sap, the planning cycle will be SOP -> Demand management -> MRP
SOPu2019 is a forecasting tool enabling you to set up sales, production, and other supply chain targets based on existing, future, or historical data. SOP is most suitable for planning finished goods. SOP plans are passed on to Demand Management in the form of independent requirements (MD61), which in turn is fed in to MRP (Material Requirements Planning).
    Hope it clear your doubt

  • Demand Management Through SOP

    Hello Everyone,
I have a scenario where I receive an 8 week rolling forecast from marketing. This is transferred to production. 2 weeks before actual production the plan is firmed.
I was hoping to implement this using SOP transfer to demand management. I was also planning to use an MRP type with a planning time fence. But am not exactly sure of the best practice to transfer Rough cut plann data to demand management. Do I directly transfer the Rough cut plan to a "requirements plan" version?
If not what would be the best possible solution to run SOP?
Also Please suggest as to any specific configuration settings to be maintained for SOP.
Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated.
    Sincerely,
    Aji Kurian Mani

    Hi
It depends on at which aggregation level you are receiving the Forecast.
if you are receiving at Plant -Material level. I would advice you to directly upload in to MD61.
SOP is required, if you need to do any forecasting in SAP.
or if you need to publish , analsyse the Historical and Forecasting Values at diffrent Org Levels(Plant, cutomer, Material,Sales org....etc)
using the planning tables you can maintain the Figures at one Level, which gets aggregated automatically.

  • Demand Management: single Supplying Plant to multiple Demand Plant

    Dear All,
I have following scenario to mapp:
There is one supplying plant (Plant A) and 3 demand plants (Plant B,C,D). Out of 3 demand plant, two plants (Plant C and D) are assigned to different company code then supplying plant while one demand plant (Plant B) is assigned to same company code as of supplying plant (Plant A).
Material M1 produced at plant will be consumed at plant A to produce material M2 as well as will be supplied to plant B.
Material M2 produced at plant A will be supplied to all three demand plant B, C and D.
As plant A and plant are assigned to same company code and are in same campus, materials will be transferred using Transfer Posting (material movement 301).
Material from plant A will be supplied to transfer to Plant C and plant D using Stock Transfer (movement type 351) or using standard sales cycle.
Plant A will use total SAP but plant B,C and D don't want to use any planning functionalities of SAP (no MRP run) as they are using i2 product for planning.
As except plant A no other plant wants to use SAP for planning run, it was suggested to enter demand at Plant A directly for all plants using Demand Management functionalities using different planning versions. But now the issues are:
    A) As demand from each plant (plant C and D) will be entered at Demand Level using different planning version for each demand plant, how to reduce PIR of corresponding demand version for delivery against sales order of corresponding plant.
    B) As materials will be transferred from plant A to plant B using transfer posting and not stock transfer, how to reduce PIR. As PIR is not reduced but stock reduces then system will create new planned order for PIR which already supplied to plant B.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks and regards,

    Dear Mario,
    Thanks for your reply.
Can you explain in bit detail what is option 2 and how can I do same in system....
I tried using Special Procurement Key 40 in demand plant and maintained PIR in demand plant with MD61 which results into Stock Transfer Order created in demand plant. Now the problem is when I issued material from supply plant to demand plant against stock transfer order, system also reduced the PIR for external sources I maintained in supplying plant. Hence there was two reduction in Supply Plant, one for Stock Transfer Order reservation and second for PIR maintained for external demands (other than demand plants).
How can I stop reduction of PIR maintained for external sources while delivering against stock transfer order?
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards.........

  • Transfer plan to demand management

    Dear All
i have maintained an active sales plan in mc93 for 30 materials. Now i can transfer plan of one material
to demend management by mc 90. But i want to transfer whole version to demend management i mean plan of all materials instead of one by one. so is it possible to transfer whole version in which so many materials are planned to demend management

    Hi ahmad
with ref to your query i want to add few points which will clarify your issue upto certain extent
if youwant to transfer all 30 materials to demand management you may work with product group scenario  instead of material(one)
you maycreate rough cut plan for product group save it against version make it active
you may trnasfer to demand management by using t code  mc74 with respect ot active versionas well as defined version
which creatingrough mc35 you have to select w r to sales or production plan
once the sales plan or production plan trnasfer to demand management you can view the results in md62 for results
i hope it will clarify your issue for a certain extent
    thanks

  • Demand managment tranfer problem

    Dear PP guru's,
When ever i am trying to transfer data from demand managment systeam shows msg that no data is maintain for material, plant in tranfer period ,how to solve this query
    Regards
    Amit Naik

    Hi,
In MC74 you have to select the option of radio button for Production plan for material or PG member, You have to select requirement type and version with date and then save the it will be copied to Deman Management which you can see in MD62.
Or you can try to transfer from MC87 create the plan then go to Extra--Transfer to demand management.Deselect invisable tranfer maintain period with active versio.
    Please try and come back.

  • Demand management - Priority of Demand

    Dear friends,
I have got one requirement as below
User wish to enter Productwise demand & also the priority , based on available stk of components & SF goods , systems should tell us Which products & How much quantity can be produced?
I can use one demand version for entering demand for this requirement but How a provision can be made for entering priority? One text field is available for item level but for entering a text you need to do 3/4 steps , is tedious job.
    Please suggest.

    >Dear colleague,
Unfortunately there aren´t more available fields inisde MD61/2 to update the required additional information.
maybe you cna use the Req. Plan number. , It is a at iniital screen.
Myabe you can create a Req.Plan number for each priority.
This information is also displayed in MD04,
THis or maybe you can create a new requirement type for each priority. Aa copy to the one you have, and assign this new requirement type  to each item regarding the priority,
Unfortunately the priority is a concept not used in Demand Management.
    thanks and regards,

  • SOP and Demand Management!

Hello SAP Gurus, I need a litle help,
I have created a SOP in transaction MC87 for a material/plant with quantity 100 for month 10. Then I make a copy to Demand Management and in MD04 I have the requirements. So far so good.
The problem is: when I change the quantity in MC88 for the material/plant to 0, the system doesn't copy to demand management the 0 quantity.
Is there any way to put this to work this way or do I have to go in MD61 and delete the requirements for the material/plant?
    Thanks in advance,
    Adelmo Silva

    Hello again SAP friends,
Maybe I can explain myself beter:
    SAP v4.6C
    1. MC88 - I change de Rough-Cut Plan for my material/plant with production values equal to 0 (zero).
    2. I transfer to demand management and everything works fine!
    SAP ECC 6.0
I do the same as SAP V4.6C and I get the error: "No data maintained for material ARS_PA_01 plant 1000 in transfer period Message no. MA640"
Can someone help me with this?
    Thanks in advance,

  • Demand management -reg

    Hi,
I am facing one problem in demand management.
I have created PIR in MD61 with VSF requirement type (eg.500 nos)  and run MRP for that material. System has created Planned order for 400 nos. Because there was manual reservation for 100 nos for which planned was there already. But I want the system to create planned for 500 nos by ignoring manual reseravtion. So in demand management I changed the consumption indicator "1"( consider only customer requirements). Eventhough system consumes the reservation and creates planned for 400 nos only.
Can you please tell me what could be the issue.
    Regards
    Karthikeyan.

I think u need to use indicator -
       (no allocation)     ... please try..
Because I ve read in a thread that...
    If PIR is  100 no
Sales order of qty 10 no
Material reservation created manually for 5 no
Dependent requirements from released production order for 50 no.
If consumption indicators 1(consume only with customer requirements) – then you will see in MD04 PIR = 100-10 = 90
    if 2(only consume reservation, dependent requirements) , then PIR = 100-5-55 = 40
    3(consume customer reqts, reservation, dependent requirements = 100-10-5-50 = 30

  • Demand Management with Production Versions

    Dear all,
Is it possible to link the requirements in Demand Management with a production version which I've listed in the MRP 4 view?

    Hi,
Yes it is possible. In MD61 when you place independent demands, switch to the schedule line view & specify which Production Version you want the demand to consider.
    Hope the above clarifies.
    Regards,

  • Best practice for timing of Transfer of forecast to R/3 Demand Management

    Hi All,
I have APO DP 4.0 with monthly bucket. What is best practice to transfer the planning results to R/3. Meaning how many times we should transfer it?
And when forecast (PIR) is transfered it replaces the old PIR in demand management for that month. How it will affect the consumption of forecast in R/3? Meaning let us say in same month first time forecast transfered was 100 and by middle of the month 50 has been consumed. Now in same month forecast has been carried out and now 200 has been calculated for the same month and transfered to R/3. Now ideally the remaining quantity to be made should be 150 in R/3. Is it so? Any idea?
    TBR, MM

    Hi Somnath,
Thanks for the reply. The problem with frequent transfer of forecast to R/3 demand management is that the latest forecast ignores the prior shipments made in that month.
    I will give numeric example:
Let us say we are in September month and in first week transfered forecast of 100 for one product to demand management. In first two weeks 40 items have been shipped so remaining is 60.
Now we are in third week and planner realizes that instead of 100 we needed to plan 150 and 150 number is sent to R/3 demand management as a fresh forecast for that month.
Now for September month we should see net demand as 110 (=150-40). Somehow this is not happening. It shows as a whole 150 net demand. Any idea why it is not happening.
    Thanks and Best Regards, Manoj
