Dependency Manager
I'm using Dependency Manager in 11g to try and propagate many source data datatype changes through our mappings. The source tables in question have 50 or so columns but when I use Dependency manager to view the impact it only shows 15 columns. I can propagate the changes for these columns but I can never see the other columns.
Does anybody know how I can get to see the full table?
Thanks for quick reply.
Yes, all columns are used all the way through. We have COPY area (transient daily extracts) and we're merging deltas from the COPY area into EXTRACT area - so all columns are mapped. The limited column set is carried all the way through all the operators in the mapping.

Oracle forms 6i Dependency manager - Loading
Hi,
I am trying to use the Dependency manager for oracle forms 6i and I need to load the forms into the repository. How do I load the forms into the repository?
thanks,
RayHow can I do that?Use Oracle Net8 Easy Config utility (Windows menu).
I try to connect with the user I created with
Enterprise Manager. When you connect to DB you use a username, a password, and a connection string. The last one (a TNS alias) is necessary because you're working in a different Oracle Home, it's the same as you were on a different machine. -
Unable to open Dependency Manager
I am using Developer Suite 9.0.2 with my database on separate AIX box. I can get the Dependency Manager to pop up with a login screen. However, I can enter my information into the Connect screen, but when I hit the OK key, nothing happens. If I put in junk, still nothing happens.
solved my own problem... meta link has solution involving the tnsnames...

There is a note on Metalink about your problem. You miss a "f60jpapi.jar"

My problem is close to yours. I am getting BME-99007, which means
that I am missing some java class for the forms parser.
Any idea, did you ever had a problem like this.
By the way did you succeed to create forms and reports "dependencies".
Thank you

Code (js and css) dependency management
I create code-intensive animation-lite projects for education. I have utility functions in a js file that I want to keep in one central place on my hard drive. I also typically have an external css file that is shared by multiple projects. Whenever I add to or improve these, I want them to end up in the corresponding project folder/subfolder the next time I publish each project so that each published folder stands on its own.
Can this be accomplished with edge 3.0? Or is there a better way that what I described?
P.S. The way I currently deal with this is to have a central code folder and link to it in a yepnope function. This has 2 drawbacks: I have to "publish" this code folder myself (to my staging area), and each published project is no longer a stand-alone all-in-one package.Try Fancybox instead.

patrickHi Revanth,
The issue seems to be with the JMX URL value defined in the 'server URL' property.
Apparently I ran into the same issue as I was unable to access the Admin Server URL from the SMA.
Changing the Host and Port value properly resolved the issue for me.

patrickHi,
<font color=red>OPTION-A)</font>
If you are able to start the Managed Server using ...the Start Scripts then it means that the Missing class gets included in the Server Classpath ....when we use StartScripts to Start the Server.
If above one works fine...then Just try the following..
Step1). Open the "nodemanager.properties" file and then "startScriptEnabled=true" and "startScriptName=startWebLogic.cmd" ....provide these two entries there....remember if you are using any custom scripts to start your managed server ...then give that scriptname in "startScriptName" parameter..
Step2). restart the Node Manager and then try to start the Managed Server from Admin Console.
for more informations Please refer to "nodemanager.properties" details:
http://download-llnw.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15051_01/wls/docs103/nodemgr/java_nodemgr.html#wp1068415
<font color=red>OPTION-B)</font>
Start the ManagedServer using the StartScripts and then open the server OUT file....
Find the value of CLASSPATH in that OUT File ...copy the CLASSPATH Value and then Login to Admin Console....
Servers--->Click on ServerName (Example MS1)---> configuration Page ---> ServerStart (TAB)
In this page Paste the CLASSPATH Value which u have copied....in the CLASSPATH Test Field...
Now restart your Server using AdminConsole.

Error start managed server from admin console in SSL mode
I have configured Admin server, managed servers and node manager on the same physical server and commonly using a single SSL sertificate.
There is no problem to start node manager, admin server and managed server individually. But if I try to start managed server from the admin console then I am getting the following errors.

From the admin console ... Are you able to check the status of Node Manager ?
If yes ... please check the SSL configuration of managed servers ...
Check the domain administration port also.

SasankaHello,
There is a lot of stuff on this thread:
http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=567363&messageID=2801617
these guys are trying to run weblogic with JBuilder.
Looks like your classpath is incorrect, can you go to your admin console-->server-->remote start
copy the classpath and post it here.
Check for spaces in your classpath, missing jars or directories and miss spelt paths.
Has this problem been occuring as soon as you installed WLP or not?
Cheers,

Error when trying to start managed server from node manager
I have a managed server which is authenticated through a WeblogicAuthenticProvider. When starting the managed server from command line I need to setup certain jars in the classpath in order to start it successfully. However when I try and start the managed server from a node manager, I receive the following error.
Any ideas as to what is going on are appreciated. Is there any way to force Weblogic Node manager to invoke the actual startManagedWeblogic.cmd when bringing up the managed server
Thanks

Trying to understand Provides Dependency type
I am trying to understand the Provides dependency type. I have
reviewed the online documentation, but I'm not quite there yet.
I have a SQL script, with a create table statement, to create
the CUST table. When I parse the SQL script, I think I should
get a Provides dependency with a subtype of Created. However, I
don't get any Provides dependency types.
Am I missing a step? Do I need to create something else? Or
have I completely missed the boat?
Thanks!
ViniVandana,
What you see is the way the Dependency Manager is designed to
work. When you parse a file or object it looks for things it
provides and things it uses.
In the case of a ddl script with a create table statement the
dependency tables will populated with provides dependencies for
the table and the columns. If this is all you have parsed, and
you use the dependency manager to show the dependencies for ddl
file you will see no dependencies in the right hand side results
pane. This is correct. In the left hand pane of the Dependency
manager you expand the ddl file node you will see the table(s)
created in the file. These are the provide dependencies.
(As an aside, if you parse an Oracle Form and select the form in
the Dependency manager left pane, you can expand the node and see
all the blocks and items etc in the form. This is because the
form "provides" all these "things" that maybe subclassed into
other forms)
If you subsequently parse other objects/files that use the table
then you will see the dependencies between them in the right hand
pane.
The slightly confusing part is if you have modelled the table in
Designer as well as stored the ddl that creates the table the
dependency manager doesn't show dependencies between them. The
product just treats these as two providers of the same table. So
this means when look at, say a form that uses the table, the
dependency manager will show that the for uses both file and
modelled table.
I hope this makes things clearer

AdrianHi,
Solution: An exception is thrown while importing the Red Hat Linux Management Pack for Operations Manager 2007
http://blogs.technet.com/b/operationsmgr/archive/2010/12/15/solution-an-exception-is-thrown-while-importing-the-red-hat-linux-management-pack-for-operations-manager-2007.aspx
Based on this case, the issue might be resolved by re-importing the Microsoft.Windows.Server.Library Management Pack.

Can't start vanilla 8.1.4 platform managed server via NodeManager
I cannot get a managed server to start via the NodeManager if I create a WL Platform domain. I CAN get it to work just fine if I create a regular WLS domain. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this behavior.
Steps to Reproduce
===================
1) Use the configuration wizard to create a WebLogic Platform domain. Name the domain "Test". Use all defaults.
2) Once the domain is created, go into the domain directory and run the create_db.cmd script to build out the necessary tables to support the platform domain
3) Start the node manager. On my machine I use the following command:
C:\bea\weblogic81\server\bin\startnodemanager 127.0.0.1 5555
4) Start the admin server via the startWebLogic.cmd file
5) Open the console for the admin server. Create a Machine "MyMachine" (name is really unimportant). Use the default NodeManager port of 5555
6) Create a managed server. Call it "test1". Set the port to 8000 and be sure to assign it to the machine you just created.
7)Set the remote start properties. On my machine I just set the classpath to "c:\bea\weblogic81\server\lib\weblogic.jar;C:\bea\weblogic81\workshop\lib\wsrp-common.jar;C:\bea\weblogic81\server\lib\xbean.jar" and I also set the Java Home to point to the default JRocket JVM that ships with 8.1.4
8) Be sure to save your changes by hitting the "Apply" button. Then using the "Control" tab for the "test1" managed server, click the "Start this Server" link.
9) Wait about 30 - 40 seconds, then click on the server log for that server. On my machine I get the following exception in the log:
<Mar 22, 2005 6:04:46 PM PST> <Info> <[email protected]:5555> <Starting Server test::test1 ...>

I am baffled by this error. Can anyone help shed some light on this issue? I'm sure there is some bit I left un-flipped somewhere, but I don't know where to look. Many thanks in advance!
