  • Error while deploying OAF to Oracle Apps

    Hi,
I have just started learning OAF and working on Oracle Apps as Tech Consultant for last 5 years. I am getting some issues when deploying the test page into Oracle Apps. Kindly help me getting through it.
    The details are given below,
I tried to deploy my test(Hello) page to OA but I am not
getting success. It works fine when I run the page from jDeveloper but when I deploy it give
out error's. Request you to let me know where am I going wrong. Following are the steps which I do,
    1. Develop the Project/ JSP form using jDeveloper and test running the page HelloWorldPG.xml and it works fine.
    2. The project is saved in the following directory structure.
C:software/oa/jdevhome/jdev/myprojects/oracle/apps/ak/xxtest --> this directory has the usual directories
mapped with the BC Packages of the project (Server and Webui)
Following are the Business Comp Pkgs of the project
    . oracle.apps.ak.xxtest.server
    . oracle.apps.ak.xxtest.webui
    2. move the folder/ directory xxtest to the server directory $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/ak in text transfer mode
    3. After copying again transfer the .java/ .class files in binary transfer mode and give the permission 777.
    4. import the new directory structure/ path of the page in MDS repository
    import C:software/oa/jdevhome/jdev/myprojects/oracle/apps/ak/ xxtest/webui/HelloWorldPG.xml -jdk13 -mmddir "C:software/oa/jdevhome/jdev/myhtml/OA_HTML/jrad" -username apps -password bmw007 -rootdir C:softwareoajdevhomejdevmyprojects -dbconnection " (DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=DEV2)(PORT=15 21))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=DEV2)))"
Note I even tried with XMLImporter using the below command
    java oracle.jrad.tools.xml.importer.XMLImporter $APPL_TOP/ak/11.5.0/mds/xxtest/webui/HelloWorldPG.xml -username apps -password bmw007 -rootdir $APPL_TOP/ak/11.5.0/mds/ -rootPackage /oracle/apps/ak -dbconnection "(description=(address_list=(address=(community=tcp. world)(protocol=tcp)(host=DEV2)(port=15251)))(connect_data=(sid=DEV2)))"
Somehow it doesnt work. Do we need to create the mds directory in $APPT_TOP/ak?????? as it says the page/ direcoty cannot found. So I used the 1st import option.
    5. Register the Function and attach the function to a menu.
    OA.jsp?page=/oracle/apps/ak/xxtest/webui/HelloWorldPG
Now when I access the page I get the below errors - ( I am pasting few lines of error as I cannot paste the full text)
oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: Could not load application module 'oracle.apps.ak.xxtest.server.HelloWorldAM'.

    Anil K.

    Anil,
You can get corresponding class files from myclasses folder which has same directory structure as myprojects in jdev. You can find myclasses folder in <jdev install dir>/jdevhome/jdev/myclasses.
But as per my personal experience it is always better to compile java files on the server, as if instance jdk version is separate from jdeveloper' jdk version, problems may arise.
Also take care when u move class files from local to application server, move in bin format as class files are binary files.
You can also go thorugh my blog

Try deploying directly from the OAS EM Web interface - it might provide a more detailed error message.
If you are using JDev 10.1.3 my guess it might be that your deployment descriptor files are using J2EE 1.4 syntax instead of J2EE 1.3 syntax which is what OAS 10.1.2 expects.

  • How to deploy mobile application into app store

i have developed one mobile  application and i want upload to store as an app

    Hi,
I'm not sure is your question relating to APEX?
With APEX you (normally) create mobile web applications and that is not same as native mobile app.
I do not know, but this might help
Publishing in the Apple App Store

  • Can you deploy an application sequenced with App-V v5 with SCCM 2007?

We are currently in the process of upgrading to SCCM 2012.  We are also embarking on testing App-V v5.  Can we deploy sequenced applications from App-V v5 using SCCM 2007?  What limitations will exist with SCCM 2007?  What release of
SCCM 2007 should we be at for App-V v5 sequenced applications to be deployed and/or streamed?

    Hello

Apllication run well on Embedded OC4j of J Developer. But While ı have deployed the application to App Server 10g, Part of the Application which uses 10 g is working but part of the application which uses 8.1.6 not working. When I Try to connect the application i get the following error.
I thought that this may be caused because of security setting.
Application which uses 8.1.7 cannot be open JDBC connection. Authentication may cause this problem.
    But i couldnt resolve
    Any Idea?

From the App Server oracle home, and with the same connection information as app is using, can you connect to 8.1.6 db with sqlplus?
You said it works from JDeveloper - which version?
From AS 10.1.2 (which means net/client libraries 10.1.0.3) I get
"ORA-03134: Connections to this server version are no longer supported."
To 8.1.7.4 database connection succeeds. (hint: 8.1.6 is not supported!)
Maybe this could be the culprit?

  • How to deploy ADF applications in Oracle apps

    Hi,
I just gone thru demos on ADF rich client applications using jdeveloper 11g.My doubt is how to deploy and use these from oracle apps.Is ADF supported in R12.If yes then could anybody provide me steps to deploy code at unix file system and how to create form functions for accessing jspx pages?
I know that in OAF, we can deploy server components at $OA_java and PG.xml files using xml importer and we can create form functions for PG.xml files.Similarly what are the steps to deploy and access ADF applications thru oracle apps.
    Thanks,
    ashok

ADF Rich Client Components need a newer server than the one that comes with Apps R12.
So what you'll need to do is have a separate WebLogic 10.3 server where you deploy the ADF Rich Client Applications.
You can call them from your Apps by customizing your current apps and adding a button or link that just calls the URL where your ADF apps are.

  • Deployment of OA Project in R12.2 - Could not load application module

I have deployed a project that is working without issue in JDeveloper to a R12.2 environment, but I am receiving the following error on loading of the page.  This seems to be a common problem as I have another issue with deploying OA Framework projects in R12.2  Is anyone else using R12.2 or has seen this in any other R12 instance?  Anything developed in 11.5.10 first and "upgraded" to the latest JDeveloper is working fine, but so far nothing developed directly in R12.2 JDeveloper works in the environment.

Try bouncing your server and then test it again.Generally this error comes due to uncompiled jsp files.Bounce Apache Server and then check.

  • XML data into Oracle Tables. XML file on Application Server.Oracle Apps R12

    Hi All,
    My Database version : 11.2.0.2.0
I have an XML file which needs to be loaded into the Database Tables. How ever i do not want to use the XMLTYPE as given below
    insert into test1 (
SELECT PrcDate, PmtType, PmtStatus, PmtTypeCount, PmtTypeAmt
    FROM XMLTABLE(
    '/WFPaymentAck/RejectedDom1ACH'
    PASSING XMLTYPE( BFILENAME('ECX_UTL_LOG_DIR_OBJ','wf_test_xml.XML'), NLS_CHARSET_ID('UTF8') )
    COLUMNS
    PrcDate VARCHAR2(2000) PATH '@PrcDate' ,
    PmtType VARCHAR2(2000) PATH '@PmtType' ,
    PmtStatus VARCHAR2(100) PATH '@PmtStatus' ,
    PmtTypeCount VARCHAR2(100) PATH 'PmtTypeCount' ,
    PmtTypeAmt VARCHAR2(100) PATH 'PmtTypeAmt'
Because this way the XML file needs to reside on the DB server.
I am looking into other option of loading the XML file into a CLOB column of a table and reading it from that column.
I did a couple of tests and feel that this way also the XML file has to reside on the Database Server itself. I am not sure if this is correct or if there is any problem with our TEST instance.
++Can anyone let me know if i need to have the XML file on the DB server instead of the Application server to load into a CLOB column of table ??++
    ++Or++
++Is there any other workaround for me to load XML into Oracle Tables, while having the XML file on Application Server.++
Your immediate help is appreciated. I need to get past this ASAP.
    Thanks in Advance.

    1) Are you asking me to create a folder on Database directory which points to a folder on the Apps server ?I suggest creating an Oracle directory object (a database object) pointing to a real location (folder) on Application server.
we DONOT want a hand shake between the DB Server and the APPS server.I don't see where the problem is.
I'm not familiar with Apps R12 but there's no doubt the two servers are already communicating, at least App server should be able to access the DB for the whole thing to run.
    As I said :
One way or another, the data has to make its way to the database, there's no workaround to that. How do you imagine the data will end up in a database table if it doesn't come to the DB server?
There's no magical method out there, both servers have to communicate at some point.
About client-server approaches (client being here the App server), you can read about accessing the XML DB repository in the XML DB Developer's Guide : http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/appdev.112/e23094/toc.htm
Other option : SQL*Loader can load a CLOB, or an XMLType column too

  • Migrating a Forms 6i custom application to Oracle Apps R12 custom bolt on

    Hi,
I need to migrate an oracle forms custom application built in 6i to sit within oracle apps R12 (Forms 10g) and use Oracle Apps user authentication and session. It could become a custom bolt on to Oracle Apps and might be accessed from a custom responsibility in oracle applications.
    a) How easy/difficult is this?
    b) What are the challenges or things to look for to do this migration?
    Thanks,
    Ayyappa

    Hi,
We have two node architecture for R12.1.1 on windows 2008 32 Bit. One node for Database and the other node for application.
As we are facing a lot of memory issues, we are planning to go for 64 Bit.
I Have already read the document
Migrating Oracle E-Business Suite R12 to Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 [ID 1188535.1]
The doc says in place OS upgrades are not supported....
    So my question is...
While keeping the production, how can i migrate using the same servers. Coz my company does not want to buy new servers..
Please suggest.Complete all the steps in the doc for Rapid Clone and other steps, then take a backup of the files after you run preclone and create a trace file for the database. Once you have the backup ready, install a 64-bit version of the OS and install 11gR2 software and restore the files from the backup and complete the migration.
    Thanks,

  • Oracle Application Server of R12.1.x (10.1.3) for Custom Application Deploy

    Hi Friends,
Can we use Oracle Application Server of R12.1.x (10.1.3) for Custom Application Deployment(jar files) instead of going for seperate Oracle 10g Applicatuion Server.
Let us know the Licensing information as well
    Regards
    DB

    Hi,
Personally i would'nt suggest using the Application server, due to
    1. If you need down time for application patching, you custom application will also be down.
    2. If you can not start 10g Application server (The one came with R12) for some issues, it will also affect your custom application.
    3. If you are upgrading/patching 10g application server (the one came with R12), you would not know what will the affect of this on custom application.

Why this "c:\\oaf\" it should be like "c:\oaf\".
Issue is with your TNS String. Check this . With this TNS String you not able connect apps database.
