Deploying Template with static IP pool failed

Hi,
I've got a cluster with two nodes on Win2012r2. It have been added already configured in SCVMM2012r2. I did however configure the VM Networkt through Logical Switches.
1 - Logical Networks : ProdVMNET, with one site, GVEProdVMNet, where my hosts are and the Production vLAN 3108, subnet 172.31.8.0/24 :
2 - IP Pool linked with my Logical Switch and configured in the same subnet (172.31.8.x/24) :
3 - I've a port profile Uplink, ProdDynamicTeam, for creating the team dedicated to VM Network traffic on host.
4 - This Uplink is bound to my logical Switch, tVMNet

5 - Finally, I added th Logical Switch on both my host :
Everything seems to working fine and I made my first VM.
I then created a template with it and tried to deploy it, with Static IP (From a static IP Pool) :
Unfortunately, when my VM start, my host get an APIPA...
Any idea why ?
Did I miss anything ?
Thanks,

  • I'm getting the below issue when I try to deploy a report with Dynamic parameters, when I deploy it with static parameters I'm not getting this issue.

    I’m getting the below issue when I try to deploy a crystal report with Dynamic parameters in BI Launch Pad, when I deploy the same report with static parameters I can deploy and run it. I have Restarted the BI server, still the issue exitno use. kindly help me on this issue.
    “This error occurred: Adding Crystal Report "CrystalReport1.rpt" failed. The server with kind rptappserver returned an error result. Failed to copy the report file to the report object. Refreshing the report object properties might have failed. Failed to read data from report file CrystalReport1. Reason: Failed to read parameter object”.

    BO does not run dynamic params through the report as would happen without BusinessObjects (BO) or Crystal Reports Server (CRS).  When you publish a report with dynamic parameters to BO/CRS, the prompt is published to the repository so that it can be accessed through the Business View Manager (which can be installed as part of the client tools).  In order for this to work a couple of things need to happen:
    1.  You need to be sure that you check the "Update Repository" box on the Save As screen the first time you publish the report.
    2.  Your BO/CRS user needs to have "view" access to the Crystal2013ReportApplicationServer in the Servers section in the CMC - in fact, the Everyone group should be given view access to the server in order for dynamic prompts to work correctly.
    3.  In the Business View Manager, the Administrator user needs to give your user, or, even better, a Crystal Developers group full control access to the "Dynamic Cascading Prompts" folder.
    Best practice for dynamic prompts in a BO/CRS environment is to actually create the prompts in the Business View Manager.  This will allow you to create a single data connection that can be reused and also create lists of values such that the same list or prompt can be reused by multiple reports.  If you just create the prompts in Crystal, you will end up with multiple data connections to the same database, the prompts will use the whole query for the reports to get the dynamic values instead of just a focused query to the lookup table that contains the values, and there ends up being lots of duplication and chaos.

  • MDT 2012 UNC Deployment Failure with static IP.

    I am having trouble getting my UNC deployment to run the State Restore phase. I am operating on a network without DHCP and have successfully connected to the network share and ran the Task Sequence. After the reboot, however, the static ip doesn't get set
    and the deployment can't continue.
    Upon inspection of the BDD.log I ran across the entry in the State Restore section that pertains to setting the static ip.
    WMI Function: Adapter.EnableStatic(IPAddress,SubnetMask) FAILURE: -2147217405 Unknown Error: -2147217405
    If I log in and run the LiteTouch.wsf file as an administrator, the task sequence starts running again and the static ip gets applied.
    Why is this not happening automatically?

    The account I'm using does have permissions. I use the same account to join manually after the process is complete. I'm not sure what the purpose of the Temp Account is. I only see it if the process fails. Otherwise, if the process completes, it is not there
    when I log in. The Administrator account is disabled by Group Policy but since it never joins the Domain, the Administrator account doesn't get disabled.
    There is no ZTIDomainJoin.log
    NetSetup.log is as follows:
    NetpDomainJoin
    NetpMachineValidToJoin
        OS Version: 6.1
        Build Number: 7601 (7601.win7sp1_ldr.130828-1532)
        ServicePack: Service Pack 1
        SKU: Windows 7 Enterprise
    NetpGetLsaPrimaryDomain: status: 0x0
    NetpMachineValidToJoin: status: 0x0
    NetpJoinWorkgroup: joining computer 'MININT-TBQSA02' to workgroup 'WORKGROUP'
    NetpValidateName: checking to see if 'WORKGROUP' is valid as type 2 name
    NetpCheckNetBiosNameNotInUse for 'WORKGROUP' [ Workgroup as MACHINE ] returned 0x0
    NetpValidateName: name 'WORKGROUP' is valid for type 2
    NetpSetLsaPrimaryDomain: for 'WORKGROUP' status: 0x0
    NetpJoinWorkgroup: status: 0x0
    NetpDoDomainJoin: status: 0x0
    Now I realize that it appears to be joining the "Workgroup" Workgroup, but in my customsettings.ini I have the JoinDomain variable set to the proper domain.

  • How to create a Pooled VDI infrastructure using Win server 2012 as VM image?I have followed the "usual" way to build a pooled VDI desktop using Win7 or Win8 with success, but it fails when I use an image of Win Server 2012 as VM

    I have followed the "usual" way to build a pooled VDI desktop using Win7 or Win8 with success, but it fails when I use an image of Win Server 2012 as VM instead.
    Am I overlooking something?  Should I need to prepare the image in a different way? (Sysprep differently?)
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Thank you for your posting in Windows Server Forum.
    Can you specify the error which you are facing during VDI setup for server 2012?
    I might think that you need to check the memory setting for server 2012, as might happens that due to less memory you can’t setup the VDI setup properly.
    Memory: If the Master VM is configured with static memory, it must have at least 1024 MB as startup RAM. If the Master VM is configured with dynamic memory, the maximum RAM must be at least 1024 MB.
    Please check beneath article for information.

  • How to disabled the activation of deployed Test VMs from templates with SCVMM 2012 R2

    Hello,
    I have created templates with key for deploying windows 8 VMs,But i wants do not activate these VMs as it is just a test VM.
    Is it possible through SCVMM to deploy VM with key without activation ?
    Thanks
    RICHA KM

    Thanks for the reply.
    My network architecture is exactly like the one described on your paper, with 2 differences:
    1. I only have one host in the Production group and one host in the Gateway group
    2. The first host has one physical NIC, the second host has 2 NICs, one internal and one with an Internet (routable) IP
    After applying the logical switches on the hosts, I lost Internet connectivity on the gateway host (I have no idea why there is no logical Gateway Switch !!!). VMM completed the jobs with no error.
    Any thoughts?

  • RRAS 2012 With DHCP Works, Cannot Get Static Address Pool To Connect Completely

    Hello Forums Users:
    I have set up RRAS/DA 2012 successfully incorporating my AD DHCP server.   Every connection works and I see all networks that I have VPN tunnels set up with, which is totally cool.    However, I want to assign remote VPN users IP's from a
    static address pool - and while the setup completes without issue and the client connects, I can see absolutely nothing.    No good pings, no connect to Lync client, Outlook, etc. etc.
    I am OBVIOUSLY missing something but have no idea what that is.   Do I need to add something (and I really have no idea what that "something" is) to RRAS config so the static address pool (192.168.40.0 in this case) has the same access as
    the AD DHCP pool does?
    Thanks again for taking the time to check this out and comment.

    Bill:
    Thanks for the reply....  yes, the idea is to free up a pool of IP's large enough to accomodate all 170 staff.   Our current 192.168.2.x DHCP hands out 150, but I need to plan for DR/BCP when other locations (about 110 users) remote in when their
    location goes dark.
    I already have VPN tunnels between the main locations and a VPN user can see ALL of them when it gets an IP from DHCP.   Are you saying that I have to add routes to all the routers/firewalls to accomplish this?
    Or would I use IPv4 Static Routes?   A network I'd like access to is 192.168.14.0 /24.   Would the route look like any of these?   Sorry it's not clear what I would use as the gateway (192.168.2.1 is the RRAS server network gateway, 192.168.2.6
    is RRAS IP)
    Destination         Net Mask               Gateway                Interface
    192.168.14.0      255.255.255.0        192.168.2.1            LAN
    192.168.14.0    255.255.255.0
      192.168.14.254      LAN             (
    (.254 is the remote gateway)

  • Deploying Config Templates with LMS 4

    Hello,
    i tried to deploy configuration templates with Cisco LMS Template Center, thanks to the 10 Cool LMS Tricks to better manage your network i am able to do it now.
    Just i don't know why, after deploying these templates the configuration is not save to the startup-config.
    another problem i have with the snmp-server location configuration. It seems my template does not support spaces in the textbox.
    Any way to put spaces in the snmp location?
    <parameter name="snmp-location">
    <description>SNMP Server Location</description>
    <html-component>textbox</html-component>
    <default-value></default-value>
    <data-type>string</data-type>
    <mandatory>true</mandatory>
    <isGlobal>false</isGlobal>
    <help-description>snmp-server location</help-description>
    <syntax>
    <min/>
    <max/>
    <pattern/>
    </syntax>
    thanks for your feedback.
    alex

    I filed CSCtr87633 to track the issue with not being able to save the running config to startup.  I had thought this was working, but when I used LMS during CiscoLive!, I had a lot of jobs running, and part of the work involved a Netconfig deployment that also took care of the write mem.
    For the space thing, try this template.

    ; max listen queue - the maximum number of requests in the queue
    ; of pending connections since FPM has started;
    ; listen queue len - the size of the socket queue of pending connections;
    ; idle processes - the number of idle processes;
    ; active processes - the number of active processes;
    ; total processes - the number of idle + active processes;
    ; max active processes - the maximum number of active processes since FPM
    ; has started;
    ; max children reached - number of times, the process limit has been reached,
    ; when pm tries to start more children (works only for
    ; pm 'dynamic' and 'ondemand');
    ; Value are updated in real time.
    ; Example output:
    ; pool: www
    ; process manager: static
    ; start time: 01/Jul/2011:17:53:49 +0200
    ; start since: 62636

    ; max listen queue: 1
    ; listen queue len: 42

    ; active processes: 11
    ; total processes: 15
    ; max active processes: 12
    ; max children reached: 0
    ; By default the status page output is formatted as text/plain. Passing either
    ; 'html', 'xml' or 'json' in the query string will return the corresponding
    ; output syntax. Example:
    ; http://www.foo.bar/status
    ; http://www.foo.bar/status?json
    ; http://www.foo.bar/status?html
    ; http://www.foo.bar/status?xml
    ; By default the status page only outputs short status. Passing 'full' in the
    ; query string will also return status for each pool process.
    ; Example:
    ; http://www.foo.bar/status?full
    ; http://www.foo.bar/status?json&full
    ; http://www.foo.bar/status?html&full
    ; http://www.foo.bar/status?xml&full
    ; The Full status returns for each process:
    ; pid - the PID of the process;
    ; state - the state of the process (Idle, Running, ...);
    ; start time - the date and time the process has started;
    ; start since - the number of seconds since the process has started;
    ; requests - the number of requests the process has served;
    ; request duration - the duration in µs of the requests;
    ; request method - the request method (GET, POST, ...);
    ; request URI - the request URI with the query string;
    ; content length - the content length of the request (only with POST);
    ; user - the user (PHP_AUTH_USER) (or '-' if not set);
    ; script - the main script called (or '-' if not set);
    ; last request cpu - the %cpu the last request consumed
    ; it's always 0 if the process is not in Idle state
    ; because CPU calculation is done when the request
    ; processing has terminated;
    ; last request memory - the max amount of memory the last request consumed
    ; it's always 0 if the process is not in Idle state
    ; because memory calculation is done when the request
    ; processing has terminated;
    ; If the process is in Idle state, then informations are related to the
    ; last request the process has served. Otherwise informations are related to
    ; the current request being served.
    ; Example output:
    ; pid: 31330
    ; state: Running
    ; start time: 01/Jul/2011:17:53:49 +0200
    ; start since: 63087

    Not getting what I am missing here, can someone help shed some light or smack me in the correct direction. Thanks.
    edit:
    Also verified that it is for sure running in the chroot
    ps -C nginx | awk '{print $1}' | sed 1d | while read -r PID; do ls -l /proc/$PID/root; done
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 Mar 7 14:06 /proc/313/root -> /srv/http
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 http http 0 Mar 7 14:06 /proc/314/root -> /srv/http
    edit2:
    I just rebooted the box and was going over everything again to see if I missed anything or anything was not matching the wiki and the only extra info I could dig out of my box was new error in the logs relating to the nginx.pid
    2013/03/07 18:10:41 [notice] 411#0: signal process started
    2013/03/07 18:10:41 [alert] 387#0: unlink() "/run/nginx.pid" failed (13: Permission denied)
    ls -la /srv/http/run/

    d--x--x--x 9 root root 4096 Mar 7 11:07 ..
    -rw-r--r-- 1 http http 4 Mar 7 18:12 nginx.pid
    It appears to have the proper permissions and it is not in /run/
    ls -la /run/nginx.pid
    ls: cannot access /run/nginx.pid: No such file or directory
    Going to try setting it up again on another box to see if I catch what I did wrong on this one, but will be leaving this one as is to make sure I figure out what happened. Is it that my chroot is bad? That is really the only thing I can think of that is really any different than other NGINX installs I have done, which have always been on a Debian based system.

    Might sound stupid, but do you have php-fpm running?
    Means, is there a php-fpm process on your box, and does the socket exist like in:
    └» ps -ef|grep php-fpm
    root 3045 1 0 Mär04 ? 00:00:09 php-fpm: master process (/etc/php/php-fpm.conf)
    http 13534 3045 0 18:22 ? 00:00:10 php-fpm: pool www
    http 13545 3045 0 18:22 ? 00:00:08 php-fpm: pool www
    http 22807 3045 0 19:46 ? 00:00:01 php-fpm: pool www
    tom 27863 28055 0 20:16 pts/1 00:00:00 grep --colour=auto php-fpm
    └» ls -l /run/php-fpm/php-fpm.sock
    srw-rw---- 1 http http 0 4. Mär 22:24 /run/php-fpm/php-fpm.sock
    EDIT: somehow missed your output regarding the php-fpm socket. Ignore above then, I have no idea about chroot, I use LXC.

  • Please help: deploy Bean with "No resource available" error for M:N relationship

    Hi all,
    I wonder any one comes across with deploying beans with M:N relationship with
    "No resource available".
    I defined the relationship in ejb-jar.xml and dbms in the
    weblogic-cmp-rdbms-jar.xml, but when I deployed the beans I got
    the following error

    Hi Gaurav,
    Other applications used the same the datasource, which I used for this application,
    are running fine.
    I think there is some bug in the wlserver 6.1 to create the join table. I think
    it is the time I should ask the bea wlserver 6.1.

    Hi all,
    I wonder any one comes across with deploying beans with M:Nrelationship with

    I defined the relationship in ejb-jar.xml and dbms in the

  • VM NICs keep reverting from dynamic to static IP pool on reboot

    I have a 2012 R2 System Center deployment that has been working perfectly for six months. This past week, we added another Hyper-V host into the cluster, and the networking has become problematic for us.
    VMs that were configured to be "Dynamic" IP address assigned, have changed to "Static IP Pool". I can delete the NIC, create a new NIC and set it to "Dynamic" again. Then, I reconfigure the IP address that we need assigned in
    the LAN properties of the VM and it is good until the next reboot. When we look at VMM again, the new NIC that we created is now back to "Static IP Pool". All of our VMs appear to have had this happen, and we are afraid to reboot anything at this
    point.
    We even tried configuring the NICs manually from static to dynamic via powershell, which means we don't have to remove/add a NIC, but also works only until the next reboot.
    We are using the same virtual switch, same port profiles, same port classifications and same uplink profiles.
    Any ideas?

    I feel like some issue with the Fabric configuration.
    If you are create a new VM through SCVMM, do you face this issue? (While creating the new VM, on the hardware configuration page, use dynamic IP and Dynamic MAC)
    The first event which you listed says about missing VM Network.
    No available connection to selected VM Network can be found.
    Please check the VM Network to where the VM is connected through SCVMM. And check if all the nodes have the same VM Network.
    If thats missing, fixing it might fix few other errors which you mentioned.
    Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence.

  • Deploying on EC2 and Deployment Template Problems

    Hello,
    Im trying to configure a Endeca install on a EC2 micro instance as a proof of concept.
    So far i have deployed the following:
    /mnt/endeca/endeca/MDEX/6.2.1
    /mnt/endeca/endeca/PlatformServices/6.1.1/
    /mnt/endeca/endeca/Workbench/2.1.1/
    I can visit the Workbench admin console etc so everything is up and running. The problem im having is deploying and forging the sample pipeline contained in the deployment template app.
    I run the deployment template app to configure the pipeline but then when i come to run:
    ./initialize_services.sh
    I get a lot of warnings then an error and it crashes:
    [root@ip-10-58-182-152 control]# ./initialize_services.sh > /tmp/output.txt

    It looks like it's failing to deploy because the JMS resource hasn't been found.
    Do you have the OJMS resource provider setup on OC4J? And the data source configured to point at the database hosting the AQ service is configured correctly?
    Here's the steps I'm referring to from a version of README.txt I found:
    1. The users need to configure a resource provider named "mdbdemo" at the
    $J2EE_HOME/config/application.xml to access OJMS queues.
    <resource-provider class="oracle.jms.OjmsContext" name="mdbdemo">
    <description> OJMS/AQ </description>
    <property name="datasource" value="jdbc/OracleDS"></property>
    </resource-provider>
    NOTE: Do not use a different name since the resource provider name is hardcoded in the MDB's deployment descriptors. Use name of "mdbdemo" only.
    2. Configure the $J2EE_HOME/config/data-source.xml with the following entry as referenced above to connect to the database and schema used in "database setup".
    <data-source
    class="com.evermind.sql.DriverManagerDataSource"
    name="OracleDS"
    location="jdbc/OracleCoreDS"
    xa-location="jdbc/xa/OracleXADS"
    ejb-location="jdbc/OracleDS"
    connection-driver="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"
    username="jmsuser"
    password="jmsuser"
    url="jdbc:oracle:thin:@%DB_HOST%:%DB_PORT%:%DB_SID%"
    inactivity-timeout="30"
    />

  • Error 1401 deploying Template in SCVMM 2012 R2 RU2

    I got the following error when i deploy a new created template with App Controller and VMM 2012 R2 RU2.
    1401–SelfServiceActionNotAllowed
    The template is a converted vhd from wim with Powershell. It is located on an library server in VMM. I can choose the template in App Controller and after 3 to 10 Seconds the job fails.
    If i deploy an template that was imported long time ago (before install of 2012 R2 RU1) i´m able to complete deployment.
    Can someone help with some information?!

    I found the Solution by my self in the following link: TechNet Library
    When you create templates for self-service users, be aware of the following changes in VMM:
    ◦ In VMM, the concept of a "self-service owner" for a template no longer exists. A template that is to be shared by members of a self-service user role should have no owner assigned. When a template with no owner is assigned to a self-service user role that has the Author, Deploy, or Deploy (Template Only) action assigned to it, all members can use the template. However, when an owner is assigned to the template, only the owner can use the template
    With an Update of VMM they changed the behavior. I Changed the Owner to a Global AD-Group and now i can sucessfull deploy templates.

    Hi Nicolas,

    Hi,
    I am using weblogic 6.1 and oracle 8.1.6, and experiences
    problems with connections pools and database crash.
    When the database server crashes during an EJB transactions,
    the connection used by that transaction seems to be lost and
    is never rebuilt when the database server restarts, therefore
    the number of connections within the pool shrinks thoroughly
    if I have several connections used while the database crashes
    or is shutdown for maintenance.
    If this db crash takes time to recover, all connections
    are destroyed and the pool become unusable.
    As soon as all connections have been 'destroyed' I have
    the following exception:
    'connection pool - none available' when trying to get
    a connection.
    When I restart the database server, the pool does not rebuilt
    itself.
    (I am using a test table to test the presence of the database
    with a frequency set to 60s)
    I did the same operation without EJB transactions and the pool
    could rebuilt itself after the database has been restarted.
    I had that problem with weblogic 6.0 already and in the
    release notes of 6.0_sp2, 2 issues are fixed concerning
    the pool fail-over: 044223 and 041793.
    I would like to know if these issues are fixed in 6.1 as well,
    and if they are related to my problem (Their description is
    quite short).
    Thank you
    Nicolas

    Thanks,

    Add "Targets" attribute to the connection pool. You may
    get an idea how it looks like by searching config.xml
    for "targets". If target servers are not set, the pool won't be
    deployed and can not be used to a create datasource.
