Deployment user other then ias_admin

Is there and way,I can create number of users to deploy j2ee applications to their respective OC4J instance?
I do not want to give ias_admin password to developer but want to give them freedom to deploy the J2EE application on their individual OC4J instance

Ok, so I found the solution to my second alternative:
Alternatively, I would like to set up accounts with access to the EM Website (AS Control) so more users are alowed, without having to share the ias_admin password. Here's what I did:
1. Stopped the AS Control
2. Added <user>-entry and <member>-entry to OH/sysman/j2ee/config/jazn-data.xml (remember ! before the password to force encryption)
3. Added <user name="myuser" /> entry under <security-role-mapping name="consoleadmins"> in the file OH/sysman/j2ee/config/em-app.xml
4. Started AS Control
I am now able to log on to the AS Control website with the new username.
Steve stated that this was not supported under 9.0.4, so I guess it raises the question as to whether this is supported under my version 10.1.2 ?
Also, I am still even more interested in a solution to my first alternative:
I am also looking for a way to set up individual accounts with the required privileges to deploy applications to an OC4J instance.Input will be appreciated.

  • Missing column value when logged on to windows with user id other then admi

I am using crystal report 10 with oracle 10g database. Application is is developed on vissual studio.net 2005 (vb.net). Reports are launched from vb.net application.
My report runs fine when I logon to windows as administrator and launch vb.net application. When I logeed on to windows with userid other then administrator my application works fine except one of the column value is missing a value in the report.  When I launch my vb.net application my oracle userid is same. Only difference is windows userid.  My application has no referance to windows userid. Why crystal report viewer is missing one column value when loged on to windows as user(xxxx)?

CR 10.2 bundles with .NET 2005. If you do not see the CR assemblies of version 10.2.3600 in GAC, try to do a custom install of .net 2005, choosing just Crystal Reports. Note that Crystal Reports does not bundle with all versions of .NET (for example it does not ship with .NET Express - I believe...). Alternatively, you can upgrade to CR 2008 which is the latest sipping version of Crystal Reports. You can obtain a copy by calling sales at 866-681-3435, or go to this link:

An eval copy of CR 2008 can be downloaded from here:

  • Redirection of deployment.user.cachedir to Windows Temp-directory

    Hello,
I have a problem with the configuration of the cache-directory on a Windows Terminal-Server.
On a Windows Terminal-Server each registered user gets a Windows temp-directory, which can be seen in variable %TEMP% and looks like "D:\temp\1" or "D:\temp\2" and so on.
Now I want to redirect the cache-directory, set in file deployment.properties, property deployment.user.cachedir, to that temp-directory for the user.
How can I configure JavaWS correctly ?
Please help !! Thanks in advance

Thank you for your response. I am using jdk1.3.1 and
jre 1.4.2_01 which I just downloaded the other day.
The properties did indeed list out in the console, but
I will check a previous jre to see if they are there
as well. I agree that if the property is available,
then it should return the value.5. What system properties can be read by applets, and how?
In both Java-enabled browsers and the appletviewer, applets can read these system properties by invoking System.getProperty(String key):
    key               meaning
    java.version          Java version number
    java.vendor          Java vendor-specific string
    java.vendor.url     Java vendor URL
    java.class.version     Java class version number
    os.name          Operating system name
    os.arch          Operating system architecture
    os.version     Operating system version
    file.separator     File separator (eg, "/")
    path.separator     Path separator (eg, ":")
    line.separator     Line separator
Applets are prevented from reading these system properties:
    key               meaning
    java.home          Java installation directory
    java.class.path     Java classpath
    user.name          User account name
    user.home          User home directory
    user.dir          User's current working directory
To read a system property from within an applet, simply invoke System.getProperty(key) on the property you are interested in.

  • Deploying user certificates to all users

I need to deploy user certificates to all my employees. It will save me from sending them an email to load up mmc, click on certificates and then go down to user>personal and right click and request user certificate.
I checked the user certificate permissions and domain users has enroll and read as allowed. There is no auto enroll. I then created a group policy under user configuration>Windows Settings> Security Settings>Public Key Policies.
Under public key policies, I enabled the certificate services celient - certificate enrollment policy and checked the box for active directory enrollment. I then clicked on Certificate services client - auto enrollment and enabled it check the boxes to update
certificates that use cert templates and renew expired certificates.
Next I applied the GPO on the root of the domain using authenticated users for security group on the GPO so all users get it. Since I have pushed it, when I check all system using MMC> certificates no one has a user certificate. Can someone explain why
    this is not working?

    Hi,
    >>I am using windows server 2008 R2. Should I see an autoenroll permission for this user template?
As far as I know, to enable autoenrollment, users should be granted Read, Enroll, and Autoenroll permissions.
Regarding how to configure certificate enrollment, the following articles can be referred to as reference.

  • Call fwd to a user, who then call fwds to Voicemail

I have a customer with a scenario where the original user call forwards to another user. This user then has a call forward no answer to voicemail.
If the first recieves a call, then the call is unanswered on the second user and then endsup in voicemail, who's voicemail box should the call land in?
I am discovering that the call lands in the second users voicemail.
Is there any way to change this? Or is there any other way to configure it to call the fisrt user, ring on the sencond user, then land in the first users mailbox?
Alot of legacy phone systems had the ability to change the destination mailbox depending on first hop scenario.

    Hi,
    This is expected behaviour.
The only way to change this would be to have the 2nd user forward the call back to the 1st user, or forward to a SIP URI that's tied to a shared mailbox that is accessed by both users... or something similar along those lines. This setting can be set by
the end user themselves or centrally via the Sefautil.exe tooling, but is probably not feasible or practical.
It makes sense, if user A is away for 4 weeks and forwards to user B. Then user B is off for a day and misses a call that came in for user A, and a message was left.... then user B can grab that rather than user A in 4 weeks time.
Unfortunately in Lync there is no 'destination mailbox', only voicemail, which is inherently the mailbox of the concerned user.
    Kind regards
    Ben

  • How to restrict the department to not user other departments' equipment?

    Dear SAPIENTS,
How to restrict the department to not user other departments' equipment? If suppose any one creating order for equipment having different authorization group then system should not allow me to do this.
    Regards,
    Kaushal Rai

    Kaushal Rai,
Use Authorization group for technical objects, create authorization gruops in IMG and assign the same to the Equipment master and block the other department with the same authorization group. For ristricting the authorization group to other departments after creating and assigning it to the equipment seek help from your BASIS team.
goto the below path for cerating the Authorization group:
IMG - PMCS - Master data in PMCS - Technical Objects - Define Authorization groups:
Here you define the authorization groups, after completion of this step go to the Equipment master in General Data tab page there is a feild Authourization Group, mention the respective authorization group and provide this Authorization gruop value to the respective user in the user role with the help of BASIS Team.

  • Setting system level deployment.user.cachedir in deployment.config

    G'day,
I've been experimenting with JRE 1.5.0_04 on Windows XP.
    By default deployment.user.cachedir is set to <user home>\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache. However, I want it to be <user home>\Local Settings\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache.
I have managed this as follows.
    C:\Windows\Sun\Java\Deployment\deployment.config contains:
    deployment.system.config=file\:C\:/WINDOWS/Sun/Java/Deployment/deployment.propertiesand C:\Windows\Sun\Java\Deployment\deployment.properties contains:
deployment.user.cachedir=$USER_HOME\\..\\..\\..\\..\\Local Settings\\Application Data\\Sun\\Java\\Deployment\\cacheThis works but is ugly. The problem is that $USER_HOME=<user home>\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment. It seems that $USER_HOME and $JRE_HOME are the only two variables for use in deployment properties. Are there any others, in particular, one that mirrors the user's actual home directory?
    Thanks,
    Chris.

    G'day,
Open the Java Console and execute "dump system and
deployment properties" which shows property values,
and see if what you want is there. Thanks, but I don't think I can use these at the system level, can I?
I did try using ${user.home} but that doesn't work.
So, are there any variables other than $USER_HOME and $JRE_HOME that can be used when setting system level properties?
    More info, http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/deployment/deployment-guide/properties.html
    Thanks,
    Chris.

  • CUIC 8.5 Unable to "choose collection" for users other than Admin/Superv

    Hi,
When login with any user other than the admin, I'm not able get any entry in the "choose collection" drop down menu for any type of report. While investigating it seems this is restricted by the option Security / User Permissions / System Collections (UCCE). I can see how all the teams has assigned the admin user for read, exedcute and write. In addition also the supervisor of the team is added to the list and I have checked and confirmed that the supervisor can get the collection of his/her team.
There is a list on the right hand side to be able to add additional user permissions however when I try I get the error "System Collections (UCCE) permissions can't be modified". Obviously having just the supervisor of the team being able to list their team is not good enoguh and I would expect changing the permissions here is possible.
Has anyone come accross this problem or do you have any tips before openign a TAC case?
    Thanks
    Isidro

I should also note something that I did that I think may be causing the default wiki and blog theme to not appear. In Server Admin, selecting Web, then going to Settings and on the Web Services tab, I changed the Data Store path to:
    /Library/WebServer/Documents
I did this thinking it would create the html pages in the directory that the placeholder page was indicating that I should put my web page, but I think that is wrong, now. Does anyone know the default path for the data store?

  • Deploy user for automatic deployment on development system

    Hi everybody,
I am not sure what user to configure in the "Runtime Systems" tab of my track configurations.
We use AS Javas of the Version 7.1 EHP1 as runtime systems. Thus we use the deploy controller for deploying. So far we just have used the personal user of whoever created the track as deploy user. Is this the recommended way? Or should we better use some technical user for automatic deployment? If yes, which permissions should this user have?
Thanks in advance for your help!
    Tobias

    Hi Satya
Thanks for the quick answer. Do you happen to know if a separate technical user for CMS deployment ist the "standard"/best practice?

  • How to deploy user controls containing licensed components?

I have a custom control incorporating licensed components from NationalInstruments.UI.WindowsForms.
I want to take the custom control to a computer that does not have Measurement Studio installed, add it to the toolbox, and drop the control onto a form.
I am using Measurement Studio 2013, Visual Studio 2010, and targeting the x86 CPU, and using the .NET 3.5 framework.
The ability seems to work only when Measurement Studio is also installed and licensed on the other machine.
    The following descries what happens.
    Reproduction
On a computer with Measurement Studio 2013 Standard installed:
    Start Visual Studio 2010
    Create a new Class Library
    Create a new User Control
Add a waveFormGraph and Legend in the designer
    Compile the project
Deploy the library according to the help topic "Measurement Studio .NET XCOPY Deployment Files"
On another computer without Measurement Studio:
    Get the deployed library
    Start Visual Studio 2010
Create a new Windows Forms Application
Open the Form in design mode
Add the deployed User Control to the toolbox items
Drag a new User Control into the form
I see the following message popping up:
The control is not actually added as a consequence.
Am I missing some licensing detail or making a mistake during deployment/redistribution?
I have seen a previous post on this here in this forum , however, it is over a year old now and there was no solution posted.
Some guidance or clarification would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you
    -Steve

    Hello GGS-AKR
I have been able to reproduce the issue in my end by only de-activating the license in the License Manager. What happens is that if you are going to use a Measurement Studio in a "design time" context, it will ask you for a license. According to NATIONAL INSTRUMENTS SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT, it states:
    E. "Authorized Applications." Means ( i) those applications that you create with development versions of the
SOFTWARE that you have validly licensed (including such applications that you create with third party
software using real-time operating system components of the LabVIEW Real-Time Module and the
LabWindows/CVI Real-Time Module in accordance with the licenses for such modules), and (ii) those
applications that you create with third party software development environments and that utilize Driver
Interface Software, if such software development environment is supported by such Driver Interface
Software as indicated in the applicable Documentation for such Driver Interface Software. Notwithstanding
the foregoing, (a) any application created with the Measurement Studio SOFTWARE is not an Authorized
Application if it uses any Measurement Studio controls in a "design time" context, and (b) any application
created with any SOFTWARE acquired under an evaluation license is not an Authorized Application.
I hope this information helps you.
