Deployment without connections.xml

Hi all
I use my own connection pool and not use any connection.xml settings at all. But I can not manage to remove connection.xml from server side catalog WEB-INF/classes. I do not want this file to be deployed on the server because it contains my test connection to the local servers. I use standalone OC4J container.
Pleas describe how can I set the deployment profile that removes connections.xml from deployment .ear.
Best regards,
Vyacheslav

  • SOADEMO - deploying SOAOrderBooking build.xml "Could not get Deployment M..

    Hi All, I have seen a few issues with the SOA demo but still not able to resolve my issue so posting a thread.
    First off using SOA suite 10.1.3.1.0 and Jdev 10.1.3.1.0, so the same versions. Downloaded the demo from the same oracle page as downloaded suite from etc so should be compatible. Installed SOA Suite on an OE Linux 4 update 5 install. Using jdev on Vista laptop. I appreciate that these are not the most current versions but they should work as on the Oracle site and I am not able to install newer versions for the next few weeks.
    Going through the install guide for the demo and hitting a problem with deploying the build.xml for SOAOrderBooking as a few others have. The first error I am getting is:
    [deployDecisionServices] Failed at "Could not get DeploymentManager".
    I have checked the build.properties file which matches exactly that from the 'SelectManufacturer' which deployed fine.
    One of the main differences between these two is that the 'SelectManufacturer' does not have any decision services.
    One thread I saw suggested changing in the properties file
    platform=ias_10g
    #platform=oc4j_10g
    to
    # platform=ias_10g
    platform=oc4j_10g
    I did do this and the deployment when further but then fails at a later stage. I should not have to make this change anyway as I am using ias_10g so I have gone back to the original. Why would this change allow me to get further?? Appreciate any comments on this bit apart from my general problem.
    Any ideas why the deployment of the decision services would fail?
    I have spent a fair bit of time as you do trying to resolve it but no luck so any help greatly appreciated. Searched google, metalink, technet etc.
    FYI I have edited the properties file to use a different port for HTTP etc. Again these settings worked fine for 'SelectManufacturer' so do not think there is a problem with the URI being used.
    Also appreciate on debugging could anyone tell me under the IAS control panel which log component I should set to get some more debug info on this deployment error. I have tried a few without success and cannot find a clear explanation of the various component logs.
    Thanks for reading my post Cel

    Hi James, thanks again for your reply.
    I went on to the linux server and ran the below to validate the URI:
    /oracle/product/10.1.3.1/OracleAS_1/jdk/bin/java -jar /oracle/product/10.1.3.1/OracleAS_1/j2ee/home/admin_client.jar deployer:oc4j:opmn://del4100.cel:6003/appserver/oc4j_soa oc4jadmin <password> -validateURI
    This is the same command being executed by jdeveloper when I try to deploy the decision service.
    I get the same error as with jdev:
    Failed at "Could not get DeploymentManager".
    I had a further look at the command and omitted the name of the application server instance which in my case is 'appserver', the default when you install SOA Suite.
    so now ran:
    /oracle/product/10.1.3.1/OracleAS_1/jdk/bin/java -jar /oracle/product/10.1.3.1/OracleAS_1/j2ee/home/admin_client.jar deployer:oc4j:opmn://del4100.cel:6003/oc4j_soa oc4jadmin <password> -validateURI
    This validated the successfully. Went back to jdev and commented out the line from the build.properties:
    # asinstancename=appserver
    Re-ran the ant build and this time the deployment of the decision service succeeded.
    This has now failed on the next stage of the build on compiling the bpel process SOAOrderBooking which I shall look at now.
    Do you know why the above would not work with the appserver instance name. I have checked and it is the correct name and spelling?
    I have another error now on the next stage of the build and wonder if this is related to it.
    The error I am getting is that could not read the wsdl and:
    Error happened when reading wsdl at "http://localhost:7777/esb/wsil/Fulfillment/OrderFulfillment?wsdl", because "Failed to read wsdl file at: "http://localhost:7777/esb/wsil/Fulfillment/OrderFulfillment?wsdl", caused by: java.net.ConnectException. : Connection refused: connect".
    Thanks for your suggestions and welcome any other comments on this next error as I wonder if it is related to the first one that I have worked around.
    Thanks Cel

  • NPE when working with connections.xml for Web Service client

    Our ADF Web Service clients needs to read the WSDL and End point URL from connections.xml. But this is giving an Error.
    Here are the details:
    jdevloper 11.1.1.6.0
    Weblogic 10.3.5
    OWSM 11.1.1.6
    From my ADF based Application I need to call out a web service.
    For this I have built a Web Service Proxy and coded to call it from the application.
    Since the app needs to run through the development testing deployment lifecycle and hence be deployed on different environments, we need the ability allow configuration of wsdl and end point URL for the web service call without the need to recompile the app.
    We want to leverage the connections.xml for this purpose.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/web.1111/b31974/web_services.htm#autoId6

    Hi Frank,
    I got the following two lines of code just to check if WebServiceConnection was able to read the connections file alright.
                String urlString = wsc.getWsdlUrlStr();
                System.out.println("WSDL URL: "+urlString);
    I am not using urlString for further processing.
    The output is
    WSDL URL: http://<host>/PSIGW/PeopleSoftServiceListeningConnector/MyService.1.wsdl
    java.lang.NullPointerException
            at java.lang.Class.isAssignableFrom(Native Method)

            at oracle.j2ee.ws.common.jaxws.runtime.GenericJavaType.create(GenericJavaType.java:118)
    The WSDL Url pointed to is the one that I configure in the connection while deploying the App.
    Ran a test and WSDL Url is accessible by the app.

  • Problem with web service proxy and connections.xml

    JDev 11.1.14
    Hello
    I'm trying to create a web service proxy that takes advantage of the connections.xml so that the endpoints can be changed without recompiling the code (as described here http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17904_01/web.1111/b31974/web_services.htm#ADFFD548 - 13.2.2 How to Create a New Web Service Connection)
    I created the web service proxy using the Jdev wizard and a test client. The access to the web service works as expected.
    The client test code is :
    package model;
    import ch.mit.trac.ws.proxy.*;
    import ch.mit.trac.ws.root.Currency;
    import javax.naming.NamingException;
    public class wsTest {
      public wsTest() {
        super();
      public void testIt() throws NamingException {
        CurrencyConvertor currencyConvertor = new CurrencyConvertor();
        CurrencyConvertorSoap currencyConvertorSoap = currencyConvertor.getCurrencyConvertorSoap();
        Double res = currencyConvertorSoap.conversionRate(Currency.CHF, Currency.USD);
        System.out.println("Hello");
        System.out.println(res);
      public static void main(String [] args) throws NamingException {
        wsTest tt = new wsTest();
        tt.testIt();
    }I then create a connection as described in the docs.
    I now have a connections.xml as follows:
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
    <References xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/jndi">
       <Reference name="CurrencyConvertor" className="oracle.adf.model.connection.webservice.impl.WebServiceConnectionImpl" xmlns="">
          <Factory className="oracle.adf.model.connection.webservice.api.WebServiceConnectionFactory"/>
          <RefAddresses>
             <XmlRefAddr addrType="WebServiceConnection">
                <Contents>

                            </port>
                            <port name="CurrencyConvertorSoap" binding="{http://www.webserviceX.NET/}CurrencyConvertorSoap">
                               <soap addressUrl="http://www.webservicex.com/CurrencyConvertor.asmx" xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/soap/"/>
                               <operation name="ConversionRate">

                                  <output name=""/>
                                  <input name=""/>
                               </operation>
                            </port>
                         </service>
                      </model>
                   </wsconnection>
                </Contents>
             </XmlRefAddr>
          </RefAddresses>So far so good.
    I then created a new jspx page with a button that calls a method in a request scoped bean.
    The method is supposed to use the connections.xml to get the web service proxy in order to call the web service.
    The bean code is as follows :
    package ch.mit.test;
    import javax.faces.event.ActionEvent;
    import ch.mit.trac.ws.proxy.*;
    import ch.mit.trac.ws.root.Currency;
    import javax.naming.Context;
    import javax.naming.NamingException;
    import oracle.adf.model.connection.webservice.api.WebServiceConnection;
    import oracle.adf.share.ADFContext;
    public class test {
      public test() {
      public void testIt() throws NamingException {
        Context ctx;
        ctx = ADFContext.getCurrent().getConnectionsContext();
        WebServiceConnection wsc;
        wsc = (WebServiceConnection) ctx.lookup("CurrencyConvertor");
        CurrencyConvertor currencyConvertor = wsc.getJaxWSPort(CurrencyConvertor.class);   -- NPE here
        CurrencyConvertorSoap currencyConvertorSoap = currencyConvertor.getCurrencyConvertorSoap();
        Double res = currencyConvertorSoap.conversionRate(Currency.CHF, Currency.USD);
        System.out.println("Hello");
        System.out.println(res);
      public void testws(ActionEvent actionEvent) {
        try {
          testIt();
        } catch (NamingException e) {
    }When running the application and clicking on the button I keep getting the following error at the line marked NPE Here above:

  • Issue with Connections.xml

    Hi,
    I have an UI project, for which i have created a Deployment Profile named 'adfXXXXXUI' nothing but created a adflibrary for that UI project.
    While creating the adf jar, i have come across an Option called 'Connections' .
    Here i have selected Connection Names Only ... means i will be getting all the names of the connections i have created & those will be reflected in my local connection.xml file.
    After configuring the rest of the params, i deployed my UI project to "deploy -> adfXXXXXUI.jar".
    And we have used this jar to integrate with another UI application ... And the taskflows avilable in the jar will be used in the other UI application.
    Now here is my problem ... Actually my connections.xml file has a URL Connection. This is how it looks like....
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>
    <References xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/jndi">
    ><Reference name="MapServer" className="oracle.adf.model.connection.url.HttpURLConnection" xmlns="">
    ><Factory className="oracle.adf.model.connection.url.URLConnectionFactory"/>
    ><RefAddresses>
    ><XmlRefAddr addrType="MapServer">
    ><Contents>
    ><urlconnection name="MapServer" url="http://sbsys1.intra.schneider.com:8109/mapviewer"/>
    ></Contents>
    ></XmlRefAddr>
    ></RefAddresses>
    ></Reference>
    ><Reference name="snibuilddb" className="oracle.jdeveloper.db.adapter.DatabaseProvider" credentialStoreKey="snibuilddb" xmlns="">
    ><Factory className="oracle.jdeveloper.db.adapter.DatabaseProviderFactory"/>
    ><RefAddresses>
    ><StringRefAddr addrType="subtype">
    ><Contents>oraJDBC</Contents>
    ></StringRefAddr>
    ><StringRefAddr addrType="user">
    ><Contents>sni_guest</Contents>
    ></StringRefAddr>
    ><StringRefAddr addrType="port">
    ><Contents>3720</Contents>
    ></StringRefAddr>
    ><StringRefAddr addrType="hostname">
    ><Contents>uxsys186v</Contents>
    ></StringRefAddr>
    ><SecureRefAddr addrType="password"/>
    ><StringRefAddr addrType="serviceName">
    ><Contents>snit0.world</Contents>
    ></StringRefAddr>
    ><StringRefAddr addrType="DeployPassword">
    ><Contents>true</Contents>
    ></StringRefAddr>
    ><StringRefAddr addrType="oraDriverType">
    ><Contents>thin</Contents>
    ></StringRefAddr>
    ></RefAddresses>
    ></Reference>
    </References>All the taskflows avaialble in my jar using the URL connection which mentioned above. But the adflibray jar got created with a file named 'jar-connection.xml', where i can see <Reference/> as an empty Tag. Because i have selected connections name only as an option when creating the adflibrary for my UI.
    Hence it is appearing so ... But when i added this jar to the other application, i have dragged & dropped the taskflows as a region on to the JSPX page. And i started running the page. On the page .... i can see only the data which is not making use of MapServer connection defiition. Along with that, some maps needs to rendered .. but that is not happening. Rest of the page with the filter critieria is being displayed properly.
    Now i have selected Include Connection Details as an option, by editing the adfLibrary Deployment profile of the UI & redeployed & found the same thing. Like, though i specify the Include Connection Details as an option ... i did not see those URL connection details in my jar-connection.xml file.Still it is not working.
    All the taskflows inside the jar are trying to use this URL connection from jar-connection.xml, which is avaiable inside the adfLibUI.jar.
    I tried with a scenorio some thing like ... For the application to which i have added this adfUILibrary, there itself i created a URLConnection ... but it did not worked as well.
    Requesting you to let me know how can i get avail of my URL connection in to my jar ...
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kiran Konjeti

    Hi Steve,
    Thanks for your immediate reply.
    Yes...we are exactly doing the same. This ADFUI Library will be used as ADD TO PROJECT to consume in other application.
    I tried adding this to the Consumer Application's connections.xml file .... But it did not worked too...

    <urlconnection name="MapServer" url="http://sbsys1.intra.schneider.com:8109/mapviewer"/>

  • Avoid connections.xml in JAR file

    I am using a "JAR Deployment Profile" in JDeveloper 9.0.3 to create a JAR file.
    How can I prevent that connections.xml becomes a part of the JAR file?
    tnx
    -Jan

    Seems to be a bit more complicated ;)
    I don't have "Connection Manager" library selected, but I do have "BC4J Tester". As this one also includes jdev-cm.jar, I still get connections.xml included in my JAR file.
    As long as the tester library is required during development - and even later, during the maintenance process ;), there should be another way to remove connections.xml from the deployment result...
    Maybe if we could specify the active configuration for all projects in the workspace at once...
    Thanks,
    Adrian

  • Printing Reports without connect  database

    May I do a reports without connect database ?

    In 2.5/6i you need a database connection to run a report.
    In 9i there are some pluggable datasources (text, XML, JDBC) with their own connections. Since the Text/XML pluggable datasources don't require a connection you can now create a report that runs without a connection but still reports on data.

  • MSS error - Screen Output without connection

    Hi,
    Has anyone implemented/integrated MSS in EP 6.0?. I have successfully imported the package.
    I was testing out few Iviews and I have ended up with the messages, "Screen Output without connection". I have referred the SAP notes - 760160 and accordingly maintained the personalisation data. But still I'm getting this message. How do I solve? What is that I'm missing?
    Thanks in advance,
    Praveen.

    Hello,
    I have followed BP document and installed all the pars that were not installed. I am still getting the error message. Is there something else to do as well?
    And the com.sap.....rw_1wc1_001 component is not missing from the server deployment. This represents an iview. It is based on com...fin.reportwriterdisplayreport which is in the deployment. Anyway I've done the installs and still have the problem. Have you solved it?
    Thanks

  • Open discoverer report in new browser window and without connections page

    Hi All,
    We are using Oracle 11g Discoverer 11.1.1.4.  Requirement is to open the discoverer report in a new browser window and without connections page.
    When we are running discoverer reports with this parameters we unwantedly get the connections page of the discoverer plus which we don't want.
    Went through the documentation given in this page and followed it still the issue persists, and i see couple of threads with my issue and no updates.
    This excerpt is from the documentation available in the link
    " _plus_popup=true and framedisplaystyle=embedded launches Discoverer Plus in a new pop-up browser window that contains the Plus applet embedded in it "
    http://www.art2dec.com/documentation/docs/oas10g1012/linux/bi.1012/b13918/urlstart.htm
    and Here is what we use to invoke our reports.
    http://ipaddress:port/discoverer/plus?cn=cf_123&_plus_popup=TRUE&framedisplaystyle=EMBEDDED&wb=disc_wb_1
    Request the forum users from PRO discoverer group to help me out of this issue and expect a good discussion on this.
    Thanks in advance

    Closing the thread
    We were able to achieve by changing the browser settings in the IE 8 Browser. Disabled Tabbed browsing.

  • Error while generating form 16 in portal - Screen output without connection

    Dear Gurus,
    We are facing error while generating form 16 through portal and getting the below error in portal.
    Screen output without connection to user.    error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE
    When we checked for dumps in R/3 the following dump is coming:
    DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND with error message :
    Message class : FPRUNX
    Message number: 102: No job started.
    Then we tried to execute the form 16 through R/3 itself using tcode PC00_M40_F16 after putting in the relevant values in the selection screen and then press on PRINT FORM button, but surprisingly the system logs out without giving any error or dump.
    We tried doing it repeatedly and once in these attempts we got an error saying Initialization of font server module failed.
    We are not getting clue as to why this is happening. <<Text removed>>

    Dear,
    This might be the problem of Adobe Acrobat Reader. what is the version of Adobe you are using ?? If it 9.0, then uninstall it and reinstall 8.0 and then check .
    Could you please check your installed SAPGUI component? If component 'Engineering Client Viewer' is installed, please uninstall
    it. And try to call same transaction again.

  • How do I delete multiple photos at a time on my iphone 5 without connecting to my mac or other computer? And without deleting ALL photos from my iphone?

    Well, I guess my heading says it all. I am trying to delete multiple (like A LOT) of photos from my camera roll on my iphone 5 without connecting to my computer. All other instructions I've read on here do not work. (I'm not saying I read ALL instructions though) But the ones I've read, do not work.
    I DO NOT want to connect to my computer to do this, so please read what I am asking! It HAS to be possible, it's just downright silly if it isn't and I'll be ****** about the 3 grand I've given to Apple in the last few months for various reasons...
    Thank you in advance for any responses.

    Okay. Awesome! I feel like such a dodo that was so freaking simple!
    Now I have another simple person question that feels stupid too but oh well apparently my brain doesn't like to work at 5 a.m. when I am in bad pain but...
    Okay, so I've deleted them from my phone manually, they are already ALL on my mac, when I plug my phone back into my mac to sync music and any New photos, will the old photos that I deleted that are on the mac, go back on the phone? Der. I feel like I already know the answer, but I'm asking anyways...
    Please, thank you, and sorry in advance!

  • How can I free up space on my iphone without connecting to itunes?

    How can I free up space on my iphone (by posibbly deleting some music) without connecting to my mac itunes? I'm travelling abroad for some time so can't access my itunes account on my mac at home and the iphone is full. I thought I'd left enought room for plenty of new apps, but alas no. So I need more room for more apps. We have my partners PC laptop with her itunes loaded if thats any use. I've deleted and backed up all my iphone photos already. Thanks.

    Claiming that it can be done, but not telling him how is not all that helpful. We were dying for you to share the steps that he must take.
    http://www.cultofmac.com/99990/ios-5-allows-users-to-delete-music-directly-from- iphoneipad/
    The process is just like deleting an unwanted email in your inbox. Simply find the track(s) you don’t want on your iOS 5 device anymore, slide your finger over the track listing to the left or the right to reveal a hidden “delete” button, and then select “delete” and the track is gone. Unfortunately there’s no mass delete option, so those Backstreet Boys songs are gonna have to be deleted one at a time.

  • Hi, I want to use my Capsule just as a back up via wireless. How do I set this up without connecting it with an ethernet cable to either a router or the iMac??

    Hi, I want to use my Capsule just as a back up via wireless. How do I set this up without connecting it with an ethernet cable to either a router or the iMac??

    I misunderstood what Time Capsule is and had hoped for a wireless backup device that didn't have to be connected to the router.
    The TC is a wireless backup device.. it does not need to be connected to the main router..
    The problem is the computer.. not the TC.. the computer has only one wireless card.. if your current internet is by wireless.. then you must choose.. internet or backup.
    But my other suggestion will work.. get a wireless USB stick compatible with Mac OS.. there are plenty and cheap.. since you are in the same room as the TC they will work fine.. plug it in and load the driver.. taint hard.
    You should do the first backup by ethernet though.. wireless is too slow.. once you have that, you will do fine.
    Search ebay for wireless n usb.. Mac compatible..
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-EDUP-Mini-Wireless-11N-300M-USB-LAN-Card-WiFi-Adapte r-Nano-Card-Soft-AP-/150864362939?pt=US_USB_Wi_Fi_Adapters_Dongles&hash=item2320 377dbb#ht_3553wt_1165
    As you can see.. they are getting smaller and neater.
    I have no idea if it works .. haven't tried one.. but I have used USB wireless stick on the Mac to overcome this issue.
    You will need to set static IP .. not hard but you need to set specifics if you do buy one post again for the setup.
