Le recomiendo que realice lo siguiente:
- Verificar que esté instalada la misma versión que está en el servidor del SQL Native client, en cada equipo cliente.
- Eliminar los archivos temporales en la carpeta %temp%.
- Verificar que en el servidor el(los) firewall(s) tengan cada componente del SQL Server y SB1 como una excepción, para que no bloqueen nada que necesite el SQL Server y SB1.
- Verificar que no hayan conflictos de asignación de dirección IP entre varias máquinas cliente.
Nos cuenta cómo resulta.

No performance counter under the health service performance
Hi Everyone,
i have one system where the SCOM 2007 agent installed , but when i go to SCOM console and wants to see the performance of that from it's health service , i dont find any performance counter in Legend section.
I did re-installed the agent several time. manually and by pushing from SCOM. But everytime the result is same. I found some 20k series event log in that sever. That describes the agent is unable to communicate to RMS.
Please suggest the resolution. I need the performance of this server badly as that is a important application server in my infrastructure. And i need to generate report for this server.Hi,

EP6 sp12 Performance Issue, Need help to improve performance
We have a Portal development environment with EP6.0 sp12.
What we are experiencing is performance issue, It's not extremely slow, but slow compared to normal ( compared to our prod box). For example, after putting the username and password and clicking the <Log on> Button it's taking more than 10 secs for the first home page to appear. Also currently we have hooked the Portal with 3 xAPPS system and one BW system. The time taken for a BW query to appear ( with selection screen) is also more than 10 secs. However access to one other xAPPS is comparatively faster.
Do we have a simple to use guide( Not a very elaborate one) with step by step guidance to immediately improve the performance of the Portal.
Simple guide, easy to implement, with immediate effect is what we are looking for in the short term

This is good and I would obviously read through this, The issue here is this is only for Network.
But do you know any other guide, which as very basic ( may be 10 steps) and show step by step the process, it would be very helpful. I already have some information from the thread Portal Performance - page loads slow, client cache reset/cleared too often
But really looking for answer ( steps to do it quickly and effectively) instead of list of various guides.
It would be very helpful if you or anybody( who has actually done some performance tuning) can send a basic list of steps that I can do immediately, instead of reading through these large guides.
I know I am looking for a shortcut, but this is the need of the hour.

When i downloaded FCPX i was told I really didn't need to partition my hard drive. But my performance with fcpx is terrible from rendering constantly to waiting for a minute after you click for it to do it. I turn off the rendring, I transcoded the media to pro res went to file and hit transcode. but still i mean it crashes, buggy, suggy and it takes hours to do anything. I have my media on a external drive but i did screw up and put some media on internal drive. iMac OSX 10.7.2 3.06 GHZ Core 2 Duo. EX HD LaCie on a 800 firewire.
Partitioning the internal drive is - imho! - completely useless for UNIX-systems such as MacOS, due to excessive usage of (hidden!) temp-files.
And, especially a too small int. HDD partition for the system will brake any app 'til a full halt.
plus, 10.7. has some issues with managing Timemachine backups when it comes to large files as video - again, if the intHDD/OS drive is too small, it gets iffy.
at last >30GBs free, only codecs and material as intended by Cupertino = no probs here (on a much smaller/older set-up). -
WMI Performance counters not shown in SCOM Performance view
Hi,
We're unable to see %CPU usage, avg cpu queue length and many other WMI counters on a Performance View for one of our servers.
- The agent is displayed as healthy.
- We are getting data from counters generated by script.
- WMI counters are shown as enabled.
- We're able to see the counters locally on server manager, on performance counters.
- we have run lodctr /R, without success.
- no alerts on the scom agent or server.
- no overrides for these counters exist.
So definitely it looks like the WMI infrastructure is working ok but somehow data is not being sent to the server. Any hints on debugging this issue?
Thanks in advanceOps Manager, Ops DW, or both? If performance collection is ENABLED for this server, and it's a W2K8 box, and you can see the perf in perf monitor on the server, then you should look to see if other performance is missing. If there are no performance
counters being collected, then you can do a few things, but before doing that, do some spot checking.
Is this rule enabled? Did someone override disable it? If enabled, and no overrides, then create a view (my views or whatever that custom workspace is) targetting the generic class of "said" target for the collection rule. Do you see any
computers listed? How many computers are listed? Jot that down. Go to discovered inventory in the monitoring pane, and change scope to the targeted class for the collection rule. Count what is returned, do the number of servers returned
match?
If you have the same number of green healthy objects in both the custom view and the discovered inventory scope, then you are good, if there are a few missing, you need to troubleshoot those agents.
If you are missing all of them, you probably have a problem with your RMS/SQL, which means you have to start traces on SQL and or at the very least look at the ops manager event log on the rms.
So, back to the "missing a few" scenario. You could start to do logging, etc, but instead of that, reinstall the agent on one of the machines not showing up in both views. Wait a few hours. Check the views again, and keep an eye on the
ops manager event log on that sick agent. Increase the size of the log file, if you have too, so you don't over right events.
After a few hours if it's not showing up, you can either start down the path of enabling tracing on the agent (there are kbs on how to turn this on, and the logs are not hard to go through), or you can uninstall the agent. Run cleanmom on the box.
Reinstall the agent.
I would perform the repair, clean mom, before I troubleshoot the agent, but that's just me. Keep in mind, any data that is collected and or queued will be lost when you do the clean mom. But since you have no data as it is, no real loss.
While the agent is showing up in the console, and before you start down the previous steps, I would verify that you have events collected as well (another query) and stop a service on the box that is supposed to be monitored, see if it triggers and alert
and a state change. Also peek at the RMS ops manager event log, you might have some SQL problems.

Predefined Performance Management Process and Infotype 7409 'Performance'
Hi,
I hope, that anyone can answer my question.
I have configured a predefined Performance Management Process in SAP 6.0 EHP4 and finished the process with an overall assessment of the performance of the employees. However, no data has been written into Infotyp 7409 "Performance". Shouldn't the data of such an assessment be written into it?
The SAP documentation for IT7409 says the following:
"An employee's manager can use a form to assess the performance of the employee. In a talent review meeting, the participants can confirm this performance assessment or reclassify the employee regarding his or her performance.
For each performance assessment that is stored in the talent profile or made in the talent review meeting, the system creates a record for the Performance infotype in the background and stores the ID of the employee's central person in the record (object type CP)."

However, to be able to add a talent to a talent review meeting, the talent already needs to have an entry in IT7409.
Hence my question: How does the IT7409 get filled?

Urgent: WAD performance is very slow than query performance
Hi,
If i execute the report(using query with variables) which contains 8,50,000 records in WAD then its taking more than 900 seconds and say Connection timed out at the end.
If i execute the same query in Query designer using Web browser then it will take 400 seconds to show all the data in hierarchy or tabular view.
I've done tuning using RSRT on query read mode and persistent mode etc..
Can you please help me?

Hi, I'm unable to see if I have any music/videos/photos on my ipad and itunes advise that I have 23gb of 'other' material therefore the sync is unable to perform when transfering music/videos to the ipad. I was forced to perform a restore earlier and now cant see the videos/music so want to replace. Pls assist, thanks
23 GB of other indicates a corrupt file(s). A restore should resolve.

I have a performance issue in the below code,where i am trying to insert the data from table_stg into target_tab and in parent_tab tables and then to child tables via cursor with bulk collect .the target_tab and parent_tab are huge tables and have a row wise trigger enabled on it .the trigger is mandatory . This timetaken for this block to execute is 5000 seconds.Now my requirement is to reduce it to 5 to 10 mins.

I have a performance issue in the below code,
Maybe you do and maybe you don't. How are we to really know? You haven't posted ANYTHING indicating that a performance issue exists. Please read the FAQ for how to post a tuning request and the info you need to provide. First and foremost you have to post SOMETHING that actually shows that a performance issue exists. Troubleshooting requires FACTS not just a subjective opinion.

Personally I think 5000 seconds (about 1 hr 20 minutes) is very fast for processing 800 trillion rows of data into parent and child tables. Why do you think that is slow?
Your code has several major flaws that need to be corrected before you can even determine what, if anything, needs to be tuned.
This code has the EXIT statement at the beginning of the loop instead of at the end

The correct place for the %NOTFOUND test when using BULK COLLECT is at the END of the loop; that is, the last statement in the loop.
You can use a COUNT test at the start of the loop but ironically you have commented it out and have now done it wrong. Either move the NOTFOUND test to the end of the loop or remove it and uncomment the COUNT test.

That basically says you don't even care what problem occurs or whether the problem is for a single record of your 10,000 in the collection. You pretty much just throw away any stack trace and substitute your own message.
Your code also has NO exception handling for any of the individual steps or blocks of code.
The code you posted also begs the question of why you are using NAME=VALUE pairs for child data rows? Why aren't you using a standard relational table for this data?
As others have noted you are using slow-by-slow (row by row processing). Let's assume that PL/SQL, the bulk collect and row-by-row is actually necessary.
Then you should be constructing the parent and child records into collections and then inserting them in BULK using FORALL.
1. Create a collection for the new parent rows
2. Create a collection for the new child rows
3. For each set of LIMIT source row data
a. empty the parent and child collections
b. populate those collections with new parent/child data
c. bulk insert the parent collection into the parent table
d. bulk insert the child collection into the child table
And unless you really want to either load EVERYTHING or abandon everything you should use bulk exception handling so that the clean data gets processed and only the dirty data gets rejected. -
Performance problems in livecache
Hi All,
we are facing huge performance loss in livecache, job are taking almost 10 x longer then usuall.
SCM/Livecache system is not giving any clue / Hint why (Performance loss).
We are using following release:
1. liveCache Version X64/LIX86 7.6.04 Build 015-123-189-221
2. Current ABAP SP LCAPPS 2005_700: patch 000
3. SCM 5.00
4. Oracle 10.2.0.4.0

Check these notes:
Note 497289 - Performance when reading shipment
Note 801419 - Performance problems in shipment (cost) processing
and related notes
Too, check if you have implemented BADI's related with shipment costs.
Other way is to do a trace with ST05 to find the bottleneck. Check with a Basis consultant and perhaps you can solve it with a secondary index. But first check the first notes.

Can anyone plz suggest me the possible ways of suggestions so that i can tell the client as a gud consultant to start with but these days i m going though BW Performance & Authorization(BW360) which is really helpful for me but apart from that i need ur valuable inputs as well.

2. 2. Perform Role Creation, Modification and Full trouble shooting support for the users authorization failures in all SAP applications and resolving the Security issues and support in integration testing of Roles/Profiles.
3. 3. Maintain the integrity of the SAP environment by managing the SAP Correction and Transport System (CTS) to ensure all configuration and development objects are promoted properly.
4. 4. Distribute the online SAP user workload and monitor and manage the SAP background job workload.
5. 5. Perform OSS / SAP Service Marketplace: Searching notes & creating OSS messages for the respective queries to improve the Performance. And software download, Maintain System Data, License Key & Maintenance Certificate, Developer & object registrations and connection maintenance etc.

7. 6. Preventive Maintenance activities - Support Pack/Plug-in implementations, Kernel upgrades, OSS note applications and to apply support pack for Java using JSPM.

10. 9. Perform SAP Database Administration – Space management, database reorganizations, design and implement backup and restore strategy, maintain database security, administer database performance, database problem determination and resolution, etc.
11. 10. Perform SAP Installation, Post installation, client administration, System Refresh and Post-Refresh activities as required.
12. 11. Perform parameter modification, Buffer, memory management, performance tuning and troubleshoot.

ECC 6.0 SPRO has several notes related to BI performance setting
On my ECC 6.0 instance there are several nodes related to BI performance. After reading through the notes attached to the node and the reference SAP notes, I am perplexed by the setting and what is considered required or good to have.
Is there a note or some kind of document that could help provide a technical basis for the parameters setting.
Under Performance Setting-->
-Quantity Conversion: Set Buffer Size
-Maintain Runtime Parameters of DataStore Objects
-Settings for InfoSets
-Settings for Database Interfaces
-Settings for Database Interfaces (Oracle)
-Parameters for Aggregates
-Global Cache Settings
-Settings for Analysis Processes
Anyone have any thoughts on changing these parameters to better performance betweer or ECC and BW instances.

Can a FICO consultant setup PCM?
Dear all PCM experts,
I am a new FICO consultant and our PM from a BW team seeking for a FICO consultant to help out in his PCM project.
I have never heard of PCM.
And I found that setting up PCM is not same as setting up FICO (SPRO) although some CO concepts might be needed. (correct me if I am wrong)
My questions:
1. How significant is the role of FICO consultant in setting up PCM? What should he knows or do in the project? Or is it just perform data mapping and producing Functional Specs for reports? (sorry i do not have much info on the role yet because the PM himself is not familiar with PCM)
2. What is the prospect of PCM skills for a FICO consultant?

As per my idea, installation of PCM can be done by Basis consultants. Function people should perform the profitability and cost estimations by using the pre defined tasks in PCM.
