Desktop Integration in Peoplesoft with Kerberos

Hi Gurus,
We are doing the desktop integration in peopletools 8.52 crm9.1 with oracle delivered kereberos functionality.everything we have cnfigured as per the document. its working fne when i put this url
http://example.com/psp/ps/?cmd=default.but if i put this URL http://example.com/psp/ps/?cmd=login it is redirecting to signon.html page which is asking for credentials.
so can you please guide me to solve this issue , because our production url is http://example.com/psp/ps/?cmd=login so we are not planning to change the prod url

That is working as designed. To bypass the login, you should start users at the URL: http://example.com/psp/ps/?cmd=start . You need a way to get to the login screen if kerberos fails to work properly. If you really want to prevent users from ever getting to the login page, you could change your webprofile to point to a customized version of the delivered signon page. This customized version could do a HTTP-EQUIV='Refresh' that points to the kerberos signon page.

While configuring PeopleSoft with IDM running on TOMCAT, I am getting "PeopleSoft: com.waveset.util.WavesetException: com.waveset.util.WavesetException: DOWNbea.jolt.ServiceException: Invalid Session" exeception and in the tomcat console, it is asking for pstools.properties file? I am connecting remotely to Peoplesoft server. Can anyone advice me how to overcome this problem?

You need a JAR file called psjoa.jar from your Peoplesoft support team. The JAR file contains all the pstools.properties file, as well as all the necessary classes for connecting to the Component Interface.

Desktop Integration 11g - problem with Office 2007

Hi
I'm trying to install DI 11g (64b) on an computer with windows 7 64b and Office 2007. The installation goes without problems, but in all office programs it doenst appear the Oracle panel.
When i went to the suppllements panel of any office program i see that appears Oracle Microsoft Office integration but it is desactivated. I try to activate it but it gives the message: Not loaded. A runtime error occured during the load of the COM supplement.
I tryed reinstalling several times (cleaning the registry in the process) and tryied to activate the instruaction: VSTO_SUPPRESSDISPLAYALERTS=0 (via command console) to try to see what is the error behind the problem (the runtime error), but it didnt work.
Has anyone encountered the same problem?
Is there any requirements that i have to install before installing DI?

1. OPEN any MS-Office WORD
2. CLICK Office icon (top left corner)
3. CLICK Word Options (bottom)
4. NAVIGATE to Add-ins option
5. SELECT " Disabled Items" in Manage drop down (bottom)
6. CLICK GO
7. SELECT Oracle UCM Microsoft Office Integration
8. CLICK Enable
9. CLICK OK & APPLY
10. CLOSE Word document
11. REOPEN MS-Office Word
12. VERIFY Oracle UCM tab is available

Error with Desktop Integration on Macs

My JWS program runs fine on several Macs (running on 1.4.2-XX and 1.5), however, whenever I try to use the desktop integration, I get an error creating the shortcuts. There are no problems on Windows clients.

I would suggest you use the clean uninstall link and downloading 4.5. It has proved very stable with XP I use it.
I would strongly advise against loading the media manager though, It is less that stable software. I take it you know where to download 4.5?

Creating LOVs with "Desktop Integration Manager" in EBS 12.1.x

After some struggling getting the "Desktop Integration Manager" to work (due to some obscure hard-coded security checks) I was able to create an Upload Integrator. The next step is now to add some LOVs on the upload spreadsheet.
I managed to create a Gender Popup LOV using a table (e.g. FND_LOOKUP_VALUES). Here is how to do that:
Desktop Integration Manager => Manage Components
Navigate to your attribute (your interface column) and click Update. Enter the following:
Val Type      = Table
Id          = LOOKUP_CODE
Meaning     = MEANING
Desc          = DESCRIPTION
Val. Entity     = FND_LOOKUP_VALUES
Where clause     = lookup_type = 'IGW_SUBJECT_TYPE' and enabled_flag = 'Y' and meaning <> 'Unknown or not reported' and sysdate between start_date_active and nvl(end_date_active, hr_general.end_of_time)
Lov Type      = Pop List
Type your custom Header in the ‘Prompt above’ field if required.
So far so good. However, I am not able to create a simple date picker or a Java validation. Somehow you need to create (or choose) a ‘Component’ with the ‘Manage Components’ function. But exactly how do you set the Component & Attribute up to make this work? For the date picker I chose:
Validation Type = Java
Component Name = Date Picker for From Date
LOV Type = Blank
I get a Popup Date Picker in my sheet now, however when I select a date is does not return it to the spreadsheet.
Can someone provide some screenshots how to create a date picker and/or a Java validation using seeded or custom Components?
I have read the documentation in the Desktop Integration Framework Developer's Guide Release 12.1 (December 2009) but that didn’t get me much further as there are no examples at all.

Hi, with 'hard coded security check' I meant that some parts of the "Desktop Integration Manager" only work if you have responsibility "Application Developer" attached to your User.
You can change a 'seeded' integrator with:

Problem with Desktop Integrator

I want to use the "Desktop Integrator " In oracle applications R12.
But i get this error message :
Desktop Integration is not a valid responsibility for the current user. Please contact your System Administrator.

Can you reproduce the issue with other users?
Please see if the suggested solution in (XML Publisher Administrator is not a Valid Responsibility for the Current User [ID 1192054.1]) or (How to Enable a New Function to be Available for Other Responsibilities [ID 307970.1]) is applicable.
Any other details about the error in Apache log files?

Hello, I have installed DIS 11.1.1.3.0 on my Windows 7 (64bits) and I've the same problems with windows explorer integration. There is no way to make it work. DIS 11.1.1.3.0 is the latest version from Oracle's page. I couldn't find version 11.1.1.4. Does it exists, or some fix about this problem.

I have a requirement where in i need to create an excel document with different format and data for each cell.Here i want to use office integration control .Can anyone provide me sample code to create a spreadsheet and passing the data to it through office integration..?.
I am also looking for other option where in instead of building document from scratch,i want to use one standard template which i should be able to open and pass the data to a certain cells of this document .Is it possible to implement this functionality through desktop integration controls..? Hi,
By using OLE your code becomes very lengthy and you have to write your own
reusable subroutines. It is not suitable for complex requirement.
You can go for Desktop Office Integration (DOI) classes and their methods which serves
most of the common user requirements.

Manage integrators with "Desktop Integration Manager"

Hi,
I am trying to get to the Desktop Integration Manager menu as described in the Desktop Integration Framework Developer's Guide Release 12.1 (on page 17 / 2-1):
To manage integrators:
1. Navigate to the Integrators page from the Oracle E-Business Suite Navigator by
choosing either Desktop Integration Manager: Manage Integrators or a custom
responsibility and menu path specified by your system administrator.
However "Desktop Integration Manager" is not a responsibility I can find in our 12.1.2 environment.
Does anyone has a clue where to find it?

Please make sure you have (Patch 9055234 - DIF: NEW RESPONSIBILITY AND FUNCTION FOR DESKTOP INTEGRATION MANAGER) applied.

Desktop Integration Suite 10gR3 cannot integrate with Windows Explorer

Hello,
I installed Desktop Integration suite and can successfully check in emails through Microsoft Outlook and I can also check in files through MS Office applications.
However, I cannot drap and drop files into the Contribution Folders in Windows XP. I get this error = An error occurred while attempting to create the content item "test.txt"
I've already followed the advice given in this thread... http://kr.forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=681737

I enabled automatic content ID and restarted the server.
I can check in files through the console without providing a content ID.
Why would it still say Content item '(null)'?

Unable to Install Desktop Integration (Jdev 11.1.1.5) in Windows-7 64 bit

I am unable to install ADF Desktop Integration Addin for Office 2010 in Windows 7.
Jdev Version : 11.1.1.5
Operating System : Windows 7 SP1 64bit

I have followed the steps given in the developers Guide - Link .

ADF Desktop Integration and IE6

Hi,
I create a web project with ADF Desktop Integration, but ADF Desktop Integration must to use IE7. My customer is using IE6.
Is there way use ADF Desktop Integration with IE6?

The point is, nobody here would bother, as it's certified on IE7, implying it needs some features of IE7 to work.
Your best bet is just to give it a go under IE6 yourself. If it does/doesn't work, voila! ... you have your answer. Otherwise asking for support on this forum, you're going to get the same answer again, it's not certified under IE6.

ADF Desktop Integration - Can it Support Master Detail Information

I reviewed the OBE and also the user guide. I could not see any specific details as to whether the ADF Desktop integration can support master detail relationship - either master table with detail table or Master form with detail form, to be linked with the excel sheet.
Defining both the master and detail table as "tables" I was able to get the data into the excel sheet for the entire master and the child of the first master. The fetch of the child records for the second or third master records is not happening, obviously because I am missing suitable actions.
Please let us know if:
- the Master detail can be supported in a view only mode in the integrated excel sheet - with partial page functionality?
- The master - detail page can be used to upload a header record (master) and many detail records.

Yes. ADFdi can be configured for "master-detail" type use cases.
You can create cases with a master form and a detail table. Or, you can create cases with multiple tables.
ADFdi does not automatically manage the relationship between the form and table, or between the tables. So, the implementation details depend on your specific use case.
For example, given two tables (one above the other), you might choose to make one column in the "master" table double-clickable. The double-click action set can then invoke the download action of the second, "detail" table.
For a master form - detail table case, you can configure a "next" button to navigate to the next "master" record and download the details into a table.

I’m working with the Desktop Integration Suite version 10gR3 and the Oracle content server 10.350, but I have not been able to show the window with required fields “Metadata”, when the user drop a new file in folder of the windows explore. Which configuration have to be checked to solve this issue ?

On UCM server install the latest Folders_g component from patchset : 13502938
After that while creating the folder there will be the option "Enable Metadata Prompt"
Check that option and save .
After that from DIS client drag-drop a content to UCM folder (which has the above configuration set) , and then the checkin prompt will show up .

Not Able to Check-in documents using Desktop Integration Suite

Hi All
I have installed Desktop Integration Suite 11.1.1.16 and have also configured it with the Windows Explorer.
I am able to see the contribution folders after creating the connection with the server, but when i drag and drop any document in those folders, i get a pop-up 'Error while trying to create a content item abc.doc'
I am new to this Desktop Integration Suite, can anyone tell me if i am missing any configuration or something.

I have proceeded from that and now i am able to drag the document directly from the windows explorer.
On dragging i get a screen where in when i click on finish, i get the following error:
