Detail info needed in the report
Hi ,
We have a summary infomation for one key figures(say sales value for item - "T-shirt" for example), but I don't have the info about the detail level info inside the item("T-shirt" -- color red, yellow or green). I want to know in the report about the detail sale info about how many sales for the red, yellow or green "T-shirt" respectively. but in the datasource, we only have the summary info about total sale vale for the "T-shirt".
what is teh good way for us to solve this problem? we need to add the detial info into the datasource, or do some otehr calucation to make it done?

Look, Ping, accroding to what we've done to our datasource, you may do the following:
1. Let say the table for schedule line is 'A', and the field for color is 'a', i.e. 'A'-'a'. Then the datasource for line item is 'B'.
2. Enhance your 'B' with a new field, say 'b', which will be used to put in your 'A'-'a' value at line item level.
3. Add abap code which will pick up 'A'-'a' when the value in sales order number and item number fields are equal in both 'A' and 'B'. After that, insert your 'A'-'a' value into the 'B'-'b' field.
4. Run RSA3 in your source system, then you will see 'B'-'b' field which contain 'A'-'a' value for each of your line items.
Since I am not an ABAPer, I do not know how to write codes. If you do need some sample codes, you could just email me a [email protected]

Further info needed on the System Time Problem when using Bootcamp
Hi, my query is an extension on the previously reported problems and fix with the Sytem Time being incorrect when using Bootcamp.
As respected user 'SideStepSociety' very helpfully pointed out and posted in another thread, the cure for this problem is as follows:-
In Windows, try this:
Run > RegEdit
Find: HKEYLOCALMACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Control > TimeZoneInformation
Add key ( REG_DWORD type ): RealTimeIsUniversal
Double-click and set value to 1
However, unless I'm mistaken I have seen somewhere that the key type 'REG_DWORD' is 32-bit based and I am running Windows 7 x64 (64-bit) Bootcamp, therefore do I have to enter the QWORD 64-bit type key i.e. 'REG_QWORD' instead of the DWORD 32-bit type key i.e. 'REG_DWORD', or is it perfectly acceptable and fine to just enter both to cover myself should any of the components revert from 64-bit to-32 bit? ..which I have experienced happening once with Windows 'Gadgets' which normally always runs 64-bit, but once reverted to 32-bit.

I had gone ahead and entered the DWORD value in the registry just after my post and a couple of week booting between the two OS's, there were no more problems with the time issue between OS X and Bootcamp.
Shame this most frustrating of little problems where not resolved in a Bootcamp update patch, I had been experiencing this problem for a long, long time not knowing how to fix it and thinking it was my own MacBook Pro that was at fault. I do sympathise now with the possible hundreds or even thousands of Mac-Bootcamp users that are suffering this unbeknown that there's only a special registry fix that has to be manually applied to cure the problem. This is Tacky. I do wonder about Apple sometimes. -

Dynamically need to change the report value reference names

I have to create one report(document summary report) and the parameters are Document type(Special Information name through lov) and start date and end date.
Based on these parameters it will fetch only that document details. I prepared the report based on this , now user selecting another document type then the segmets which are attached to this is coming but the heading details are not able to change in the report layout.
Can any body suggest me how to create the layout for this type of reports.

How to get the report summary to the bottom of the page?
Hi all. Does anyone know how can I get the report summary to
stick to the bottom of the page, like the page footer? Basically, I
have a report that displays line items on an order. At the end of
the report, there is a signatory section or acknowledgment. If I
stick this in the page footer, then it displays at the bottom of
the page, but on every page. If I put it on the report footer, than
it follows immediately after the details, and not at the bottom of
the page. What I need is the report footer to be at the bottom of
the last page.

I need burst the report based on the customer number for some customers and burst based on invoice number for some customers in the same bursting program. I have made the changes accordingly and sending email attachments as expected, but when the output sent for as an attachment for each invoice the report does not printing in full format, its completely ignore one child block. Not sure what was the issue. This is very very urgent please help me out.

Reg: 0COUNTRY and 0REGION are not displaying in the report
Dear SDNERS,
I am facing a problem in CRM Report " 0CRM_C04_Q003" I am not able to get the 0COUNTRY & 0REGION data in the reports it is showing # Not Assigned.
When I check the 0REGION & 0COUNTRY it is having data in it in the info objects.
I come to know that both the objects are navigational attributes of "0CRM_PROSPE" info object in the report and this info object does not have any data in it as it is having a referece char of 0BPARTNER.
0BPARTNER is not showing the data for 0COUNTRY AND 0REGION. pleaes advice how to get this in CRM report.
Points will be assigned for a quick response.

0COUNTRY and 0REGION as you said are Nav Att of 0CRM_PROSPE Master data.
If Master data object itself is not having data then it would not be possible for you to get data for these objects.
You can include these two objects in your InfoProvider and add in your Query as normal InfoObjects instead of Nav att.
Note: The two Infoobjects should be mapped with the appropriate source fields in the transformation and data load should be successful.

FREE SPACE : To find the size of the report on INFO VIEW.

We have recently started using BO XI R2.Could anybody please let us know how to find the size of reports from INFO VIEW ?
Please find a brief of the situation we are currently encountering
We use the web portal " INFOVIEW PROD " to access all the reports in BO. However, the all these reports are stored on the E drive of a production machine . Now the E drive has reached 80% of its capacity and we need to free some space . We cannot delete files directly from E drive of the machine as it stores reports merely on the basis of numbers .The other option is to delete the unused reports from web portal. However , we are talking about 1000's of reports.Also , from the INFO VIEW we are not able to determine the size of the report to delete based on size and unusability.
We would like some input on how to tackle this issue.

Well that's really surprising to see that you have recently started using XIR2 since this is already an end of life product from SAP Business Objects.
Well nevertheless there is an option to check these details.
There is tool known as "Query Builder" in BOE
The direct URL to start this is: - http://<servername>:<port>/AdminTools/querybuilder/ie.jsp
and provide below query: -
select SI_ID, SI_NAME,SI_FILES,SI_SIZE from CI_INFOOBJECTS where SI_KIND='Webi' Order BY SI_SIZE DESC
SI_ID: - ID of the infoobject.
SI_NAME: - name of the object
Under SI_FILES you will get SI_PATH which will tell you the location from IFRS
SI_SIZE: will tell you the size.
But I would like to highlight one thing you need to check the instances of the document as well.
Don't just start deleting everything, it can create more problems with the system.
Take the backup of IFRS, OFRS and CMS DB as well.
My reply is just to tell how you can find the webi document according to size and IFRS path

Developing a report for time and attendance record. In this report I am printing all the employees in a department, limiting the no. of records per page to 10.
I need to insert blank lines at the end of all of the detail records in a page that has less than 10 employee records so that the no. of records displayed on a page can always be 10(these blank lines will facilitate the management to note down the temporary employees who worked for the department but are not part of the department).
I am using a tabular form with group above layout.
The report layout is as follows:
Department : FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION
Employee Name | Employee Number |
1 Jim | 1234 | _________________
2 John | 5678 |__________________
3 blank
4 blank

Supervisor's Sign:______________________
Note: the no. of blank lines should be inserted dynamically based on the no. of emp. records being printed on the page.

Kavita.Your solution works when I am not limiting the no. of records per page for a department to 10 records and when I want to print blanks lines for the depts that has fewer than 10 employees in it.
Exactly in my report I have several dept's that has more than 10 emp's. In such cases I'll be printing first 10 in one page and the rest in the next page. Now I want to dynamically print the blank lines in the second page depending on the no. of emp's on that page. I tried to acheive this by using a CS column that reset's at page level but, REPORTS is not letting me use CS column that reset's at page level in a format trigger. I also tried to copy the CS value into a parameter and or to a Place holder column and did not help.
Any more work around ideas to acheive this?? please help.

Create a column called Serial_No in ur emloyee query like this

Create a summary column on the serial column with the function SUM
and resetting it to Page
Display the column in the report by using the text color as white
so it doesn't display in the report

I have a template where I have a header section and a lines section which breaks the page on the value of the LOCATION. I would like to put the value of the LOCATION in the HEADER of the report. How do I reference the current value of LOCATION, for example on page 30?

you need to create an automated section break, .. in your for loop, add @section to the syntax.. that will create a section break everytime the node enters a new location info.. in the header just put in the tag for the location, it will pick up the first location and display it there..

We are using the BIapps service analytics and which my end-user want the reports need TAT(Turn around time) based reports taken by the user to close a particular SR in dashboard as well as also want the fallow up calls details for the particular SR and if once again the SR is raised on same issue which he want to show in separate report.
The data base we r using is Siebel crm.If we need to change/modify in reports weather we need to change the informatica mapping for the particular fields r not.
Requirments:
Wanted separate report which shows TAT(Turn around time) for particular SR closed timings.
Wanted separate report which show the fallow up calls for the particular SR
Wanted separate report stating that if the same SR has been raised with in a week time or as per the SLA(Service level agreement ) given by company which the user want to see in a separate report.

This is happening because you have check the KEY field against the column which is getting populated by a sequence .
Uncheck that option , also make sure that the UPDATE filed is also uncheck for that particular column .
As per the query pasted by you , I think STATUS_NAME should be marked as KEY .
