Detecting a change in a system matrix

Hello,
When an order or any other sales document is created, I want to detect if a change is made to the quantity, price, etc. of any of the lines of the document, and then change or add another line. For example, when the quantity of 'Item A' is changed from 1 to a value equal to or above 5, another item 'Item B' is required for the sale and should be added (or it's quantity increased).
My problem at this point is: how can my code be notified of a change within those document lines? I have tried catching some events but to no avail.
Thanks

Hi,
You can catch the LostFocus event in the matrix cells and then check if your form is in update or ok mode. The problem will be to detect if the user does several changes. You have at least 2 solutions:
1. You check the cell losting the focus with the value saved in the DI API object for example to see if the user has changed it.
2. You can also capture the KeyDown event and see if the user entered a character in the form.
Hope it helps
Trinidad.

    My previous problem is solved now, but I directly encountered another. So when I detect a change in the matrix, I need to add a new document line, with item code 'Item B'. I have tried in various different ways but I don't seem to be able to add a line to the matrix. When I use oMatrix.AddRows(1), an empty line is added, but whenever I try to change the column values, an error occurs. Can anybody help me cracking this problem?
    Thanks

    Hello,
    If the problem still exists - what about "activating" menu item "1292" ("Add Row")?
    Did you try that + then move to this row?

  • How to change the order of the columns in system matrix?

    Hi all,
    Is there any way to change the order of the columns in system matrix through SDK, without doing it from 'Form settings'??

    Hi ,
    is this true for the 'Active' property also , in CPRF table? I want to check whether the Item is active or not becuse, when I m trying to copy the value in item which is not active, I m given error. Is there any way to change or active the 'Active' flag in form settings at run-time?
    Any clue?

    so far as changing of position is concerned, there does not seem to be a way with SDK in runtime. see this thread. David has answered there :):

  • AffectsFormMode property of User defined field in system matrix

    Hallo
    I added one UDF in System matrix of  service call id at panel  Solution.
    I  set formated search for that UDF field to populate Symptons data from  system knowldge base form (table).
    I set the fromatted search property for that UDF Column is Automatic.
    So when i nevigate record on Service call form, this UDF column fetch the value and so form goes in Update Mode.
    Please i want to   AffectsFormMode  property for that column, so i  have to get the form mode is "OK"
    How it is possible.
    Pleaase help me

    Hi H2
    It is true,
    But When i  open 'Service Knowledge Base'  child form  by clicking ID Link Button in Solution Tab of Service Call Form
    and update that form (here symptoms field important for me),
    it does not change the state of Parrent Service call form  to update.
    Also there is not any link between this two table SCL1 service call  and OSLT Solution knowldege table In PLD.
    so i create Symptoms  UDF in matrix at solution tab of Service call form.
    also i create formatted search to fill this column.
    I set that formatted search as "auto refresh when field change"
    so when i navigate through service call records. it featches and put value in that UDF column and make form state "Update"
    I want to avoid it.
    means when i navigate the service call, when the value of  that UDF Is different then OSLT table then that Service Call goes to update state otherwise it have OK state.
    I used query in formatted search to fetch the value for UDF
    What will be the solution for this problem.
    Also tell me Can i call formatted search through program means can i give formatted search command (shift F2. or press formatted seach button) in program.
    Regards

  • Focus when setting value in system matrix

    Hi All,
    Starting from SAP Business One 8.8 SAP changed the behaviour of the matrix focus.
    Previously, after you set a value in a system matrix with the UI API, the focus was automatically restored to the item that previously had the focus. In 8.8, the focus remains on the matrix cell.
    We're currently facing different issues with addons which were working in the past as this is a change of behaviour.
    I would like to know from other forum users what they think about this change of behaviour, is it good, not good?, ...
    Thank You,
    paolo

    Hi Paolo,
    I ran in to this issue on a number of my addons which caused me a lot of extra work. Personally I thought it was a weird change to make as I would rarely (if ever) want to automatically set focus to a cell in a matrix when the value is changed through code. Typically my addon might be setting 3 or more values in a row (based on data that the user selects) and, after the change to the UI API, the screen flickers badly and the focus ends up on the final cell that was updated which can make data entry awkward (especially as Form Settings allows any user to change the order of the columns). In the end I had to freeze the form during my updates and then call the Click method on the cell where I wanted focus to remain.
    I did raise this with SAP support and they said it was a deliberate design change. Hopefully they will change it again so that the developer can pass in a parameter or something to control where the focus is placed after the update.
    Kind Regards,
    Owen

  • Rebinding datasource to system matrix

    Hi,
    is it possible in SBO to rebind in system form system matrix with another datasource? For example order items are shown in system matrix and I would like to bind this system item to my recordset.
    The only solution I found is to hide all columns in matrix and add new columns bounded to my datasource, but this is not the best way. Any idea?
    thx
    Petr

    As I found now, the way to add new columns isn`t working, because error "this item is not user defined item". Is any possibility to set the matrix as user matrix?
    What I need is to keep the design and references from matrix, but change datasource to my datasource (I need to change some part of sql query).

  • Detect Note Changes in MIDI Sequencer

    Hi all,
    I’m trying to detect when the MIDI Sequencer changes notes using some kind of a listener to detect when the note changes occur. My example program is able to detect the end of the sequence and I’d like to be able to detect note changes and print a message in a similar way. Here is my example code.
    import javax.swing.*;
    import javax.sound.midi.*;
    public class SequencerTestApplet extends JApplet
        public void init()
            SequencerTest seqTest = new SequencerTest();
            seqTest.play();
            System.out.println("Print from init()");
    class SequencerTest
        Sequencer sequencer=null;
        Sequence seq=null;
        Track track=null;
        public SequencerTest()
            try
            {   sequencer = MidiSystem.getSequencer();
                sequencer.open();
                // detect END OF SEQUENCE
                sequencer.addMetaEventListener(
                    new MetaEventListener()
                    {   public void meta(MetaMessage m)
                        {  if (m.getType() == 47) System.out.println("SEQUENCE FINISHED");
                sequencer.setTempoInBPM(40);
                seq = new Sequence(Sequence.PPQ, 16);
                track = seq.createTrack();
            catch (Exception e) { }
        public void play()
            try
            {    // NOTE 1
                ShortMessage noteOnMsg = new ShortMessage();
                noteOnMsg.setMessage(ShortMessage.NOTE_ON, 0, 60, 93);
                track.add(new MidiEvent(noteOnMsg, 0));
                ShortMessage noteOffMsg = new ShortMessage();
                noteOffMsg.setMessage(ShortMessage.NOTE_OFF, 0, 60, 93);
                track.add(new MidiEvent(noteOffMsg, 16));
                // NOTE 2
                ShortMessage noteOnMsg2 = new ShortMessage();
                noteOnMsg2.setMessage(ShortMessage.NOTE_ON, 0, 68, 93);
                track.add(new MidiEvent(noteOnMsg2, 16));
                ShortMessage noteOffMsg2 = new ShortMessage();
                noteOffMsg2.setMessage(ShortMessage.NOTE_OFF, 0, 68, 93);
                track.add(new MidiEvent(noteOffMsg2, 32));
                sequencer.setSequence(seq);
                sequencer.start();
            catch (Exception e) { }
    }In this program the init() method starts the sequencer through the play() method and then continues on so that the “print from init()” statement is printed from the init() method while the sequencer is still playing. Then after the sequencer is finished, it uses the MetaEventListener to detect the end of the sequence and print the “sequence finished” message. I’d like to be able to make it also detect when the sequence changes notes in a similar way... Start the sequence and move on, but then be able to detect each time a note change occurs and print a message.
    Since I am putting the notes at specific midi ticks (multiples of 16, or “quarter notes”) I could poll the Sequencer using getTickPosition() to see if the Sequencer’s tick position matches a particular multiple of 16. However, the problem with this is it would lock up the program since it would be constantly polling the sequencer and the program wouldn’t be able to do anything else while the Sequencer is playing (and I also have a loop option for the Sequencer so that would lock up the program indefinitely).
    Here’s what I’ve found out and tried so far...
    I read in this [this tutorial|http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/sound/MIDI-seq-adv.html] on the java sun site (under “Specifying Special Event Listeners”) that The Java Sound API specifies listener interfaces for control change events (for pitch-bend wheel, data slider, etc.) and meta events (for tempo change commands, end-of-track, etc.) but it says nothing about detecting note changes (note on/off). Also in the [EventListener API|http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/api/java/util/class-use/EventListener.html] (under javax.sound.midi) it only lists the ControllerEventListener and the MetaEvenListener.
    I also read here that MIDI event listeners listen for the end of the MIDI stream, so again no info about detecting note changes.
    It seems like the sequencer should have some way of sending out messages (in some fashion) when these note changes happen, but I’m not sure how or even if it actually does. I’ve looked and looked and everything seems to be coming back to just these two types of listeners for MIDI so maybe it doesn’t.
    To be sure the MetaEventListener doesn’t detect note changes I changed the MetaMessage from:
    public void meta(MetaMessage m)
    {    if (m.getType() == 47) System.out.println("SEQUENCER FINISHED");
    }to:
    public void meta(MetaMessage m)
    {    System.out.println("" + m.getType());
    }so that it would print out all of the MetaMessages it receives. The only message that printed was “47” which indicates the end of the sequence. So the MetaEventListener doesn’t appear to do what I need it to do.
    I realize this is a rather odd problem and probably not many people have had the need to do something like this, but it never hurts to ask. If anyone has any suggestions on how to solve this problem it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    -tkr

    As another idea, since I can't do it with a listener like I originally wanted to, would adding a separate thread to poll the sequencer and send an interrupt when it matches a particular midi tick be a good route to try? My thinking is this essentially act kind of like a listener by running in the background and reporting back when it changes notes.Yep, that worked! :)

                   else
                        print = true;
    }I put in several print statements (with pauses in the init method) and the init print statements continue to be printed while the sequencer is playing, so it's not locking up the system and the "note change" statements happen when the sequencer changes notes. So this part is working perfectly! :)
    Here's what I got for my output:
    Sequencer Started
    Print from init() 1
    Thread Started
    NOTE CHANGE
    Print from init() 2
    NOTE CHANGE
    Print from init() 3
    SEQUENCER FINISHED
    Print from init() 4
    The only problem I'm having is how to "throw" this action back up to the main init method and have it do the print statement instead of the thread class. Throwing an interrupt apparently won't work as you have to poll it to see if it has been interrupted (so it'd be no different than just polling the sequencer to see if it equals the specific midi tick). Maybe throw an ActionEvent? But how to attach it to my applet? Would I need to create an instance of my applet and then pass that into the thread class so it can catch the ActionEvent? And if I do that will it stop the thread or will it keep the thread running so can detect the other notes?... Or is there a better/simpler way to do this?
    Thanks again,

  • How to fill values in the system matrix through code

    hi
    All
    i want to fill the system matrix in the sales order in such a way that
    Items will be filled in system matrix in the lost focust event of the Customer Code selection in the Sales order Document
    how can i fill the system matrix through code
    one thing that first column(ItemCode)  of the system matrix column is a Icombbox type
    Now i need to fill out item code using code
    can any one suggest the answer
    thanks in advance

    madhu,
    You need to catch the Validate event, when pVal.BeforeAction = False for form items 4 (CardCode) and 54 (CardName) of the Sales Order form.
    Concerning the form's matrix, you can fill it but you cannot change it (you cannot change the ItemCode column into a ComboBox. Is is a EditText)
    Fill a System matrix's Cell with the following code:
        Dim oMatrix As SAPbouiCOM.Matrix = oForm.Items.Item("38").Specific
        oMatrix.Columns.Item("ItemCode").Cells.Item(Row_Num).Specific.Value = "Item_Code"

  • JTabel, detecting data changes

    Hi,
    I am new to the JTable component... I have set up a JTabel which displays some sample information. I have to display results I get from one of my methods... There is the Swing/JTable tutorial at http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/table.html#modelchange ("Detecting Data Changes"), however, the necessary code has been removed from the tutorial! I hope you can help me...
    I have set up the following table:
    public class InfoDialog extends JDialog {
         String[] columnNames = {"Type", "Value"};
         Object[][] data = {
                   {"Angle", "90"},
                   {"Speed", "50"},

              Container cp = this.getContentPane();
              setLayout(new BoxLayout(cp, BoxLayout.PAGE_AXIS));
              JTable table = new JTable(data, columnNames);
              table.setSelectionMode(ListSelectionModel.SINGLE_SELECTION);
              JPanel tablePanel = new JPanel();
              tablePanel.setLayout(new BorderLayout());
              tablePanel.add(table.getTableHeader(), BorderLayout.PAGE_START);
              tablePanel.add(table, BorderLayout.CENTER);
    (...)From one of my other classes, GameStart, one of the methods, calculateAngle, returns the measured angle. I would like to display this result in the appropriate cell.
    In the Swing tutorial I just can read "You can see the code for that method in [PENDING: The Bingo example has been removed.]"
    So I am a little bit confused. I think I have to first extend AbstractTableModel, then I have something to do with fireTableCellUpdated... Can you maybe show me a working example or is this "Bingo example" from the Swing available elsewhere?
    Thanks for your help!

    so I can't extend AbstractTableModel... Why are you trying to do this?I first followed the example given by Sunan.N (reply #6).
    Here is a complete working example:
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?forumID=57&threa
    dID=566133Thanks for this example. As a newbie I still have one problem: how can I set the a new value? I use the table.getModel().setValueAt(...) method... but which code goes into the tableChanged method and which into the setValueAt method?
    Here is my code:
    public class InfoDialog extends JDialog implements TableModelListener {
         private static final long serialVersionUID = 1L;
         public JTable table;
            String[] columnNames = {"Type", "Value"};

              JPanel topPanel = new JPanel();
              topPanel.setPreferredSize(dim_topPanel);
              topPanel.setBackground(Color.YELLOW);
              DefaultTableModel model = new DefaultTableModel(rowData, columnNames);
              model.addTableModelListener(this);
              table = new JTable(model);
              table.setPreferredScrollableViewportSize(table.getPreferredSize());

              setDefaultCloseOperation(DISPOSE_ON_CLOSE);
              pack();
              setLocationRelativeTo(null);
              setVisible(true);
         public void tableChanged(TableModelEvent e) {
              System.out.println("Table change");
         public void setValueAt(Object aValue, int row, int column) {
    }What do I have to do to change, e.g., "Speed" from 50 to 60? I call the setValueAt method like this: table.getModel().setValueAt(60, 2, 2); but what do I have to write into my setValueAt method? I thought that my table will automatically change the value when calling the setValueAt method...?
    The tableChanged method is being called when a value in my table changes... OK, but what should I do with this method? I just would like to set a new value...

  • Changing the source system in QA

    Hello All,
    I just wanted a quick opinion from your experience on the following issue:
    We  have a ECC Dev client 20 connected to BI Dev client 20
    Similarly we have ECC QA 120 connected to BI QA 120
    But due to some reason we now want to connect a new ECC QA client 150 to BI QA 120 and take out ECC QA 120 totally(120 is wiped off).
    I already have a lot of development transported to BI QA where the source system is ECC 120. Now if 120 dies and we pull the data from 150, what are the pitfalls to watch for?
    Like all my Master data objects , DSO and Cubes still point to ECC QA client 120 but now the "actual" source system is going to be ECC QA 150.
    Points,
    Gaurav

    You need to replicate all the data sources in BI from QA 150 and change the source system assignment to 150 instead of 120.
    Also, you need to reinitilase delta for delta enabled extractors.
    Two  things to watch out:
    1.  If you dont have source system identifier,  then if you happen to get records with same key, then it will overwrite. This applies to both master and transaction data.
    2. For transaction data that is not delta enables, there may be a possibiltiy with which the records will get duplicated. So, better to delete the old requests before reload the data from QA150.

  • Change ownership from "system" on mounted volume?

    I have an external firewire drive with 3 partitions all of which are mounted on an iMac, and which until recently all had the same ownership and permission settings under my admin account. One of the volumes (the one storing all the users' iTunes songs) somehow changed ownership to "system" and group to "wheel". I can no longer access the volume nor can the other user accounts on the iMac, although it shows up as a mounted volume when viewed in Disk Utility. "Repair permissions" is unavailable for this volume in Disk Utility. The other two volumes are unaffected and retain the original ownership settings. I'd like to reset ownership from "system" to my admin account, but do not know how to do so as apparently it needs to be done through unix commands using Terminal. What do I need to do?
    iMac   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    "...under Ownership & Permissions, click on the lock, enter your password, and change the Owner to you, with R&W access and the Group to admin, also w/R&W access, and click o Apply to enclosed items. Click the lock and close the Info window. No need to use Unix commands in the Terminal app."
    I first tried that approach but unfortunately the procedure does not work. Under Ownership & Permissions it says "You have No Access". I can click on the lock and select my name under Details: Owner, but once I click to relock, Owner just reverts back to "system".

  • How to change the source system for just a datasource

    Hi,
    Our test/development BI system ( BI 7.0 Unicode ) is connected to our development system and to our test system, 1 BI system connected to 2 R/3 systems.
    During some time, the test system won't be available so all datasources that point to the test system must be connected to the development system. In RSA1 is not possible to change the source system in a datasource: RSDS 057
    'Creation of DataSources for SAP source system D30CLNT007 is not permitted' , same error trying to copy the datasource,.
    Any idea about how to proceed ?
    Regards,
    Joan

    Hi,
    If I try to repliclate metadata in the datasource, message RSAR 051 appears: 'error when opening an RFC connection'. This error is expected because the logical system pointed in the datasource does not exist.
    Is not possible to change the source system in datasource ( in RSA1 ) because the field is always greyed, also if I try to copy the datasource the message RSDS 057 appears.
    Any idea about how to proceed ?
    Regards,
    Joan

  • What are the changes to be done on BW end during hardware change of source system?

    Hello Gurus,
    There is some hardware changes happening and I need help in certain things which I need to do from BW point of view.  First of all, I have attached a figure showing my system landscape.  I would kindly request you to go though the fig first.
    For QA, initially we were using AG3 as the source system, now they have made the hardware changes, made a system copy of AG3 into the new system AEQ.  We have connected our BW QA system to this new system AEQ.  Now when I check the system, there are no data in set up tables (I am using SD and MM), but there are data in tables.  But when I replicate data sources from AEQ to BW QA, the existing transformations and DTPs will disappear. So, that left me with 2 options-
    1. Either transport old transformation and DTP from BW DEV to BW QA
    2. Or create new transformation and DTP in BW QA system.
    Can you experts please suggest me what should be the solution?
    Also, please note that, the basis team started the hardware changes with ECC QA system for some reason.  Once ECC QA is fine, they are planning to make the changes in ECC DEV system (from AG2 to AED).  Currently, AG2 is connected to BW DEV and AEQ is connected to BW QA.
    Can you please suggest me whether there will be any issue if we opt to transport transformation and DTP from BW DEV to BW QA when BW DEV is still connected to old source system?  Or, is there any other easy way to sort this out? Please suggest?
    Thanks a lot
    Rakesh

    Hi,
    1. Either transport old transformation and DTP from BW DEV to BW QA?
    Yes, better to transport from bw dev to bw qa
    2. Or create new transformation and DTP in BW QA system?
    at BW Quality, creation may not be possible. Better to transport from bw dev to bwq.
    or use standard abap program to activate transformations and dtp.
    When changes are applying at source then you just need to take care the delta queues
    clear all queues by running related V3 jobs and delta info packs. make them as 0 count.
    once basis team was done changes later try to check your delta loads at bwq .
    Thanks
