Detecting if native iPhone application is installed on phone from a web app

Hi...
How can I detect if one particular iPhone native application is installed or not on th device from my web application...
So if installed then user can launch it or the link will take him to th store to download it...

Unfortunately, the only alternatives are to put all resources required by JAAS in jre/jre/lib/ext OR on the system classpath when the JVM is started.
This is apparently due to a bug in JAAS. The implementers of JAAS have the LoginContext written so that it loads resources only from the system classpath. Unless this was, for some reason intentional. I don't know what the plans are for JAAS going forward with respect to this.
Has it been fixed in J2SE 1.4?
I'll have you know this wreaks havoc with attempting to have your LoginModule use an EJBs to authenticate a user and add Principals to the Subject.

In few months it had a problem with its home key. I took the phone to service service center and they told me that your phone is having hardware problem and as the phone is under warranty cannot be replace in India. You can come back when this is out of warranty. Now few days back when i walk again to the service center they stated that this phone we cannot repair here in India because of this phone purchased from US.
This a total disgraceful service from such a big brand like apple.
I hope to hear back from you about this incident.

No iPhone has a international warranty. Warranty is valid only in
country of original purchase. Since iPhone was bought in the US,
you must return the iPhone to the US. That means you must personally bring
the iPhone to Apple in the US or send it to a friend/relative in the US for them
to take to Apple. After replacement, your friend can ship it back to you. Shipping
and insurance costs are your responsibility.
Apple does not accept international shipments for evaluation/repair
and will not ship replacements out of the country.

Not able to install flash builder from creative cloud app, please help me. When i am trying to install app, its redirecting to the Flash Builder landing page and where i can see download button. However, when i am trying to install, its not getting "INSTALL" option in CC App.

I can't install Flash Builder from the Web Premium suite, what should I do?

I just downloaded the Adobe Creative suite 5.5 Web Premium and am about to install the program but notice a note next to the Adobe Flash Builder program... it explains that my system doesn't have the requirements needed for this program. I checked and it explains further details stating that I need to have a • Mac OS X v10.5.6–10.6 and I doubled check which version I have and it's OS X 10.5.8. Doesn't this actually mean that it does meet the requirements?
Please advise as to what can be done to be able to download this specific program.

so for the memory:      it's 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 and when I click to
install the programs it says (Macintosh HD: 10,0 Go (459,5 Go

We do still need more information such as how much memory you have,
resolution of your monitor, how much disk space you have free, which
processor are you using. I good guide is to look at the system
requirements and try to post for each of the items within the
requirements. The system requirements for Web Premium can be found
at http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/web/tech-
specs.edu.html.

IPhone Application Frozen after waking up from Device Sleep

The iPhone application that I am currently working on is having a hard time running properly after the device is put to sleep. I've built other applications that work fine, but something seems to be wrong with this one.
After the device is woken up, it shows my user interface correctly, and I can see that other threads are running because I added log messages in a communication thread, but the UI is not responsive to any touches.
Anyone have any pointers on what to look into for why this is happening?
I've overridden the applicationWillResignActive and applicationDidBecomeActive methods in the application delegate to see what is getting called, but am not sure what to do once the application has become active again.

Installing Adobe Lightroom from Creative Cloud app

Hello,
I have a subscription for Adobe Photoshop CC and Adobe Lightroom. I've just successfuly installed Photoshop from Creative cloud app, though I can't find there the Lightroom. I installed a trial version of Lightroom from Adobe.com, use it in a trial mode because there is no way to activate it.
How can I deal with that?

If you have backups, if you can and saved your ML installer, you can start over.
Prevention and taking a more proactive approach to system maintenance and repair, rather than fixiing a problem (likely pre-existing?) format the drive or partition and reinstall 10.8.1 and restore from backups.
Never had any issues? freezing? apps crashing before?

Some people have had success loading Google Maps API with a UIWebView, and injecting javascript calls to control it. It's a stopgap approach to getting a Google Maps interface without quiting out of your app.

Applications re-installed on phone mem - E71

Since I have found out that installing third party applications on the mem card causes many problems, I am gradually installing the same applications that I have on the phone memory whenever I find updates to those applications without first uninstalling the old ones on the mem card.
The new application installer finds the old one and asks whether I would like to reinstall it all the same. I say yes and it installs.
I would like to know what happens to the old apps on the mem card. Are there remainders that need to be cleaned up. Or do these application mobve entirely to the phone mem and nothing needs to be done. There are no problems with the functioning of the apps.

How about checking resource folder of your memory card using some x,y,z, browser. IMO and based on my experience with S60 I think it is highly unlickly that it will remove them from memory card.
I have never faced any problem with two of my s60 phones when I installed the app on memory card. I installed apps on phone memory when they recommned it. Otherwise I prefer having phone memory free.

I want to program iPhone applications, want to start learning from scratch. Where do I start?

I have wanted to program for a long time and now I have a mac I want to begin on the wright track. Which language should I start learning and what others will I need in the future? I started learning c++ awhile back but wasn't sure if it was the right language for iPhone development so stopped till I could afford a mac as I couldn't be an iPhone programmer without a mac anyway. Any advice to put me on the right track would be brilliant and much appreciated. Also I heard learning design is a major aspect, when should I learn this or should it just be picked up through learning a language. And I should add I don't want to go to college or university as I am doing this as something ontop of my full time job. Thanks

IPhone stuck when updating new phone from 2.0.1 to 2.0.2

So I have downloaded and installed the latest iTunes.
Now it apprears my phone is stuck on 'restoring iphone software' and has been like this for about 2 hours.
I have also tried this on another computer with new iTunes installation. Should I bring the phone into an Apple Store or just keep trying?

If you are referring to iMessages, they won't show up in the Verizon Messages app since they don't go through Verizon's servers, they go through Apple's.

Safari iPhone can't play QT movies from certain web pages

I'm trying to reach QT movies from certain websites and I can't seem to get the streaming video to play in Safari on my iPhone.
When I click on the link, it opens a new page. I briefly get a Quicktime logo, then I get a "cannot play" icon (triangle with a stop symbol).
When I go through a regular browser, I can see the file is a .mov file. It seems to be a smallish file - about 2 minutes at 320x240 size? I don't know what the bit rate is.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

At this time .Mov files are not compatible with the iPhone.

I download the jinstall-1_3_1_02.ini file from sun and change all URL from
