Detecting in plugin if being called for a movie?

My plugin usually displays its own progress bar when rendering, but when called to render each frame of a movie the progress bar can be annoying. I'd like to hide it if I know I am being called for a movie. Is there a way to detect in the code if this is the case, in a way that can be distinguished from a normal smart object, filter menu, or action call?

Okay, that makes sense. We only cared because we were spawning our own progress bar, and it was getting annoying with it popping up and going away with each frame of the movie. I rewrote the code to just skip our progress bar when being called from an action, and this improved the situation.

  • BUG: Return listener not being called for manually launched dialog

    Hello all,
    I have found a bug in the dialog framework. To set the stage, I have a ADF Faces page with a command button on it. The partial submit property is set to "true" and the use window property is also set to "true." I also have the returnListener property set to a method in the backing bean. When I set the Action property of the command button to a global navigation rule that launches a dialog, the return listener is being called correctly when I dismiss the dialog.
    However, when I launch the dialog from an action listener, the return listener is not being called. Here is my action listener code:
      public void al (ActionEvent ae)
        FacesContext context = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
        ViewHandler vh = context.getApplication().getViewHandler();
        UIViewRoot dialog = vh.createView(context, "/infrastructure/ICConfirmDelete.jspx");
        HashMap properties = new HashMap();
        properties.put("width", new Integer(300));
        properties.put("height", new Integer(300));
        AdfFacesContext.getCurrentInstance().launchDialog(dialog, null, ae.getComponent(), true, properties);
      }and here is my return listener:
      public void rl(ReturnEvent re)
        System.out.println("in return");
        System.out.println((String) re.getReturnValue());
      }OK - here's an update. If the command button is in the Actions facet of the page, everything works as expected. However, if the button is in the selection facet of a table (inside of afTableSelectOne) - it does not work properly as documented here. It also works correctly if the button is in the actions facet of the table. I think that this is a bug and needs to work - my use case (as you might tell from my code) is to do a delete confirmation dialog. My short-term workaround is to use the Action instead of ActionListener property on the command button, but the issue I have is that the pop-up dialog is just a tad too small, and is showing scrollbars.
    Regards,
    John

    Added additional information about tableSelectOne

    Gabrielle,
    Sorry for the confusion.
    What does not work:
    Initiating a dialog from the ActionListener attached to a command button (where the command button is inside an afSelectTableOne) will not fire the returnListener when the dialog is closed.
    What does work:
    Initiating a dialog by returning a dialog-based navigation rule (e.g. a string starting with "dialog:") from the Action attached to a command button (even if the command button is inside an afSelectTableOne) - the return listener is called when the dialog is closed
    What also does work:
    Initiating a dialog with either method (Action or ActionListener) when the command button is elsewhere on the Page (e.g. in the Actions facet)
    Hope this clarifies the bug. I could send a test case if desired.
    Kind regards,
    John

  • IHostAssemblyStore::ProvideAssembly() not being called for Host AppDomainManager assembly

    Hi All,
    I am building an unmanaged CLR Host and have a very specific question regarding the loading of my
    managed AppDomainManager assembly via an unmanaged IHostAssemblyStore implementation.  Specifically I can't seem to get the CLR to load my AppDomainManager assembly through my IHostAssemblyManager component.
     I specify my AppDomain Manager type on the ICLRControl interface as I am supposed to:
    hr =
    pCLRControl
    ->SetAppDomainManagerType(L"MyManagedAppDomainManager, Version=1.0.0.0, PublicKeyToken=9ab418b2d23c1abd, ProcessorArchitecture=MSIL",
    L" MyManagedAppDomainManager.MyAppDomainManager");
    If I include this type in the list of assemblies returned by IHostAssemblyManager::GetNonHostStoreAsemblies(), the CLR looks for the assembly/type in my application directory, finds
    it and loads it no problem.
    However, if I remove this type from the non-host store assemblies list, the above line throws a C++ EEFileLoadException error.  I don't expect this.  I expect my IHostAssemlbyStore::ProvideAssembly() implementation to get called to provide
    the assembly, and it doesn't.
    Note that in the first case (where I include the assembly in the non-host store assemblies list), once my AppDomainManager assembly loads, all other assemblies not specified in the list are redirected to my IHostAssemblyStore::ProvideAssembly() implementation
    as they are supposed to be.  I just can't seem to get the CLR to call this method for the AppDomainManager assembly itself.
    Is this supported?
    Many thanks,
    Rod da Silva

    Update:
    I found the issue.  I was missing the Culture portion of the assembly name:
    hr =
    pCLRControl
    ->SetAppDomainManagerType(L"MyManagedAppDomainManager, Version=1.0.0.0, PublicKeyToken=9ab418b2d23c1abd,
    Culture=neutral, ProcessorArchitecture=MSIL",
    L" MyManagedAppDomainManager.MyAppDomainManager");
    I found this by turning Fusion log on.
    Hope this helps someone.

  • Applescript script being called for new mail does not recognise MessageID

    I have come across the same issue referred to in a previous message in this forum (http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=926080) but it does not go the extra step that I need.
    I need a script that will run on incoming mail messages and be able to create a text file with a completely unique name. I found that using the message subject and the receive date was not sufficient as I occasionally get messages that would create duplicates (and hence loose all but the last message). I tried to add in the MessageID value into the text file name but it would appear (based on the referenced previous posting) that the MessageID is not actually assigned at the time the script is triggered (but is if the script is run after the message is visible in the InBox).
    Is there another unique value that I could use (such as MessageID) that IS available on an incoming message?
    Thanks
    Susan

    Thank you for the suggestion. I actually did have the date/time down to the second, but the speed with which the web site that generates these mails works (I am looking for work and extracting the job listing for further processing), especially if there are only a few jobs, means I can get emails that have the same timestamp to the second. I thought that this would be enough but when I saw 2 emails in my inbox and then say only one file in the extract folder, I investigated further and found that the timestamp was not sufficient.
    I also owe you all an apology in that I realised after I found the original message and posted this one, that it was the Tiger forum, whereas I'm running Leopard. Therefore I cross-posted my message and referenced this one form the other forum but not vice versa.
    Anyway, the solution turns out to be to use
    set UniqueName to do shell script "uuidgen"
    as provided in http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=9512884.

  • DoGet() method is being called every 3inutes repetitively in servlet

    HI,
    There are 2 managed servers in one unix box.
    i have one war application deployed in cluster level. This war application will search the logs and will give particular content as a result.
    The Jsp page will send the request and it is able to get the correct results if the operation completes within 3 minutes. if there are so many logs, it is giving unreliable results as war application is sending the request again and again in the interval of 3 mins.
    Request parameters are getting by servlet, and this servlet will create the unix shellscript in background and it will execute in a box.
    0-3 mins 1st .sh creating and executing..
    3-6 mins 2nd .sh creats and starts the execution, once the 1 one is completed...
    its becomes infinite loop...
    after some time Browser is going to diagnostic error state..
    i did debugging there i can see doGet method of servlet is being called for every 3 minutes..
    to avoid this i tried to give some parameters in weblogic.xml file...but its not working..
    please fine below weblogic.xml file

  • Why is VO getter not called for custom VO attributes?

    Hi,
    The requirement is to add couple of fields on a OAF page. Here is what I did:
    - Created custom VO by extending the standard VO
    - Added fields to the page via personalization.
    The issue is that the values for the custom fields on the page were not showing up. On investigation, I found the VORowImpl getter getAttrInvokeAccessor was not being called for my custom attribute. I tried to check the difference between the attributes for which the getter was called and for which it was not called. I couldn't find any and I'm totally left clueless as to what determines the getter to be called.
    Really appreciate your help to move ahead.
    Thanks,
    Anil

    Hi Anil,
    First of all, Could you please make sure that Extended VO is being picked up during the execution of the page . Ensure that extended VO is substituted
    If the VO is substituted then try Steps below
    1. Enable the diagnostics .. show log on page statements
    2. Search for your custom VO name .
    If you can find your extended VO here, then substitution is right and page is picking up the extended VO.
    Thanks

    Hi
    I am working with an ajax program.
    In that i have defined a callback funtion
    but that function is not being called for every readystatechange of the request object for the first request .
    but it is working fine from the second request.
    function find(start,number){
    var nameField=document.getElementById("text1").value;
    var starting=start;
    var total=number;
    if(form1.criteria[0].checked) {
    http.open("GET", url + escape(nameField)+"&param2="+escape("exact")+"&param4="+escape(starting)+"&param5="+escape(number));
    else if(form1.criteria[2].checked) {
    http.open("GET", url + escape(nameField)+"&param2="+escape("prefix")+"&param4="+escape(starting)+"&param5="+escape(number));
    http.onreadystatechange = callback2;
    http.send(null);
    function callback2(){
    if (http.readyState == 4) {//request state
    if(http.status==200){
    var message=http.responseXML;
    alert(http.responseText);
    Parse2(message);
    }else{
    alert("response is not completed");
    }else{
    alert("request state is :-"+http.readyState);
    }

    Triple post.

  • Why is FmsDestroyFileAdaptor not being called when FMSCore exits

    I'm developing a file-io plug-in and the FmsDestroyFileAdaptor or FmsDestroyFileAdaptor2 functions are not being called for my dll when the FMSCore process exits. I built the and tested the sample plug-in that comes with FMIS 3.5 and the same problem exists with it as well.
    Any clues? Is this a bug?
    Thanks,
    George

    This issue has been fixed in 3.5.2 release. See http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/en/flashmediaserver/releasenotes.html

  • What's the chain of methods called for painting components?

    Hi, I'm trying to find out at what point components are painted within a container, as in what methods are being called for that component to be rendered to the graphics context.
    I've tried watching for calls going to paint, paintAll and paintComponents, but if a component has been added to a container it seems that even if I override all of those methods of the container the components that have been added still get displayed.
    So I suppose I have two questions:
    * - What is the chain of methods called when a container is told to paint/repaint itself?
    * - What are the purpose of paintAll & paintComponents, I can't find anything that actually uses these calls.
    Thanks in advance,
    L

    Well it seems that the paint method of the component is being called from sun.awt.RepaintArea.paint(...) which itself is being kicked off from handling an event that's been thrown.
    That's clearer now....but has anyone seen when paintAll, paintComponents or the printXXX counterparts have actually been called by a part Sun's code? I can see how they (Sun) would advocate a practice lke this, but it would seem kinda lame for them to suggest it and then for them not to use it themselves.....that's why I think there's probably something in the JRE that does call these methods at sometime....can anyone cast some light on this?

  • Being billed for old address & "free" installation with Mover's Edge

    I moved on 8/1/15 and used the Mover's Edge service. The CSR I spoke with on the phone when setting up my move said many times that the installation would be free of charge. No one had had service at my new address since 2009, so a tech did need to come out, but the CSR told me at least 4 times that he waived the installation fee for me.  MY two issues as follows: OLD ACCOUNTBilled for a full month for service 8/1 - 8/31. Service was disconnected 7/30/15. I moved away from this address on 8/1/15. NEW ACCOUNTBilled $35 for installation that was supposed to be free with Mover's Edge.  I spoke to a CSR via the online chat feature yesterday (8/5/15) who claimed to have "made notes" of these issues on my account. What do these notes accomplish? Hoe do I even know she did anything? When will the correct amounts ($0 for the old account, and about $60 for the new account) be reflected?  What do I have to do to get someone to help me? Why am I seemingly being punished for using Mover's Edge? Please help me!

    alphakat84,
    I am so sorry for the delay! I have sent you a private message so that we can discuss your billing concerns more freely.

  • I am unable to play a downloaded HD movie from iTunes. SD movies play OK. An error popped up saying something about the display not suitable for HD movies but now all I get is a blank window. I have tried changing the display resolution to no avail.

    I have sownloaded an HD movie from iTunes store and when I attempted to play it on my Windows 7 PC a error message popped up saying something about the display not being compatible for HD movies. I have tried changing the display resolution several times but it didn't help. Now it just comes up with a blank screen when I attempt to play it. SD movies work fine. I have the latest version of iTunes installed.
    Can anyone help me resolve this problem?

    Apparently the display is required to be HDCP compatible to view HD movies in iTunes. My display isn't so this is my problem. I contacted Apple support and they have agreed to credit me for the HD movie and I have now downloaded the SD version.

  • How to detect the occasion on which my file format plugin has been called

    Howdi!
    I got following problem. I've implemented a file filter plugin, which merely overrides the native psd fileformat reads the psd structure and acts on it. Additionally I need the user to provide some additional information during this process, but only during a file read triggered by an actual open event. Now to the problem: When opening the file chooser and selecting a psd (even without opening it, just selecting it) my fileformat plugin gets invocation.
    Is there a way to distinguish the context of invocation of my plugin? I reckon there is a preview flag in the data structure passed to the file format plugin, but this one is always set to false regardlass of the context.
    Any ideas?
    Regards,
    Mike

    Hi thanks for the advice, but I don't even have this types registered. Here's my list:
    EnableInfo { "true" },
    FmtFileType { '8BPS', '8BIM' },
    FilteredTypes { { '8BPS', '8BIM' } },
    FilteredExtensions { { 'PSD ' } },
    Is there maybe anything else I can do detect if I'm not called during document open?
