Determine Clicked Area in Graphic in WAD

Hi All,
I have a web template and a graphic in it. The graphic shows N bars. The user would like to be able to navigate to another web template by clicking on one of the bars.
Is it possible determine the location of the bar the user has clicked on?
I know how it would work with a fixed set of bars. It seems to be more complex for an unknown amount of bars, though.
There must be a way to do this using Java Script or by exploring the DOM tree??

I think youwould have to do it using RRI ... not sure if you can use javascript on a chart object ...

I am using dzen2 from official repos with openbox. I do not seem to be able to use clickable areas in slave windows. Moreover, if multiple lines are specified, the title click area does not respond

Using dzen2-git from AUR solves this issue. Can anyone else please confirm this so that the wiki can be updated?

Uncontrollable mouse button events (single clicks are doubled?)

Hello, folks--
I am having a mouse problem that is driving me up the wall. The mouse in question is an optical IM/PS2 mouse--it is a cheap no-name product, but has worked fine for 2 or 3 years. The trouble started maybe six weeks ago when I did a full upgrade. The most important change that I know of in that upgrade was the introduction of HAL, so I strongly suspect that the cause of the problem is related to my HAL configuration, or perhaps a conflict between that and my X config. But anyway, the symptoms I've been seeing include (but are not limited to):
* Firefox: a single click selects an entire paragraph
* Thunderbird: a single click in the message list opens the message in a new window
* Xfwm: a single click on the "windowshade" button collapses the window, then expands it again
(or vice versa, depending on the initial state)
* Xfwm: when dragging a window quickly, the mouse "loses its grip"--i.e. the window stops moving even
though I am still moving the mouse
None of these things happens every time, but they all happen often. The problems seem most severe in Firefox, but given that similar things happen elsewhere, I would imagine that's due to Firefox's complex event handling exposing a pervasive problem, rather than any kind of application-specific issue.
With the possible exception of the window-dragging issue, all the above symptoms are consistent with a problem I have seen reported elsewhere, that single clicks are being read as double clicks. However, the only clearly applicable solution I've seen for that issue is to remove all mouse configuration from Xorg.conf, leaving it up to HAL. I tried that and it didn't seem to change anything. However, at the same time I purged the mouse from Xorg.conf, I created an FDI file for the mouse in /etc/hal/fdi/policy. I wonder now if that was necessary--there was no FDI for the mouse before, but perhaps there doesn't really need to be one if you aren't applying any special settings? Dunno, I don't understand much about HAL yet.
I have tried a couple of other things: first, I set the double click speed to the minimum using the Xfce Mouse Settings applet (BTW, I suppose this applet is a front-end to some shell command or config file, but what?). That seems to help, but only a little. Second, if I use the mouse in an unnaturally precise manner (e.g., when single-clicking, I click as quickly as possible and lift my finger all the way off the button), the problems mostly, but not entirely, disappear.
Any suggestions?

Well, it could be that your fdi modification tries to catch the mouse events twice in a row. Perhaps you should post the file.
Besides: There is are no mouse specific fdi settings in my system. I currently have no idea where the mouse behaviour was defined besides my still old xorg.conf. (I did only activate Option "AutoAddDevices".)

BCS: unable to determine consolidation area for data basis B1

Dear gurus,
   I have two consolidation areas B1 and Y1 on the same data basis B1. I want to report the data of consolidation area Y1. I created a query which had the restrictions on consolidation chart of accounts, fiscal year variant, version, fiscal year, posting period and group currency. But when I opened the query with BEx Analyzer, the error prompted like below:
   Program error in class SAPMSSY1 method : UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION
   Error reading the data of InfoProvider ZCB_B1V11
   Unable to determine consolidation area for data basis B1
The row of the query is Item. I found if I activated the hierarchy of Item, this error occured and if deactivated the hierarchy of Item, the error disappeared.
Please advise. Points will be awarded if helpful.

Something is wrong with your hierarchy.
In my case items hierarchy works fine.
May propose two cases:
1. Which version of your hierarchy, defaulted 100 or not? If not - wait for trouble.
2. Hierarchy are global for all consolidation areas. If you hierarcical structures in different cons areas assigned to different special versions, the I'd not exclude some controversies between globality and special version pecularities.

Touch screen double clicks are seen as two single clicks due to position sensitivity

I'm developing an app for a laptop with a touch screen. It displays several low resolution images in Lab View pictures. The operator can select an image by double clicking, displaying a higher resolution picture that fills the screen. Double clicking that image returns to the multiple image display.
It is very difficult to cause a double click event via the touch screen. The two clicks must be located at the exact same point on the touchscreen, or two single clicks are returned. My fat fingers can't seem to hit the same pixel twice.
Is there a way to set the position sensitivity of double clicks in Lab View? in Windows?

I think this would be an OS configuration-parameter - at least, outside LabVIEW - have you looked under "Control Panel" or Programs for a touch-screen configuration utility? Here's a link to info re: the Dell Latitude XFR D630. Note the "Doube Click Area" parameter under "Touchkit Configuration Utility" - Settings.

I really do not think it is the iPad or your network connection. Other users have reported this very same issue. Try this and see if it works for you - it may not work - but it's easy to try - harmless - and it has worked in the past for others.
Try signing out of your account and restart your iPad.
Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID and tap the ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. Go back to Settings>Store> Apple ID and sign in again.

Remove pointer from the left/right click areas of Synaptics touchpad

Just received my U510 a couple of days ago and the touchpad is driving me crazy. My pointer moves around in the left/right click areas of the touchpad which is causes me to continually make the wrong selections because of a slight movement made by my finger in the click area.
I spoke with both hardware and software support at Lenovo and it appears that this is the way it is. They uninstalled and reinstalled drivers and tried to make various adjustments, that I had already tried, without success. I had first level support and they wanted to reinstall the O/S thinking that this was a hardware issue. I tried to explain that I just simply want my right click to be a right click only and my left click to be a left click only in those areas of the touchpad wihtout my cursor/pointer moving while my finger is in those areas. They did not understand.
I am running on Windows 8.1 and have the latest Windows 8 Synaptic driver 16.2.21.3. Lenovo tried to install the driver for 8.1 but it will not install. I don't think it will make a difference anyway.
This really isn't a problem just a major annoyance.
Has anyone tried contacting Synaptics about this? Any suggestions?

Anyhow, in answer to question, if not a mechanical issue, then perhaps drivers.
If it is mechanical (unlikely) would not recommend you try to fix, send for repair.

I heard back from Nike+ support and they said that there will be newer pics soon and it also appears that this corrected itself for my runs, but not the user pic, I only get girly options, I wouldn't mind a picture of a guy on 'ROIDS!!! I wanted to check BCS results in BW I found the following errors in running query:
1. Error reading the data of InfoProvider BCS_C1V11 (Virtual cube)
2.Unable to determine consolidation Area for Databasis AF
Can anybody advise, what sould be the probable reasons? I regenerated the consolidation areas, still its same error. Any thoughts, what I should look into.

Hi Ashwin,
You need to specify BCS mandatory fields when doing a listcube from the virtual cube.
Period
Year
Controlling Area
CS Chart
CS Version
BCS Version (or any other custom versions)
Fiscal Year Variant
Group Currency
If you are trying to get consolidated results, make sure cons group is a field for display from the cube.
Also, if running for a consolidation group, you must enter the cons group you want plus all groups which roll into it.
For example, if you have
CG 1
- CG 2
- - CG 3
- CG4
and you want to get results for CG1, you need to enter CG1, CG2, CG3, CG4.
This is why List of Totals Records is preferred.

Click areas - unlimited clicks

Hi there,
I'm facing a problem when using click areas in my e-learning.
I use them to get a branched interaction where one area directs the learner to negative feedback and one to the positive one. The areas overlay each other. In general it works but although I always give the user unlimited trys to click (no matter what area) in some sequences only one false click is allowed. That means the exercise doesn't progess as expected if another false click follows. The user just always gets the negative feedback page when clicking again, no matter if he/she clicks the right area or doesn't. What's strange is that it happens only in a few of the sequences and only on a few clicks...
Any suggestions on that or anyone having the same problem?

I'm working on a software simulation exercise and tried to make a small scribble in PowerPoint.
I have different click boxes and different pages where the users are redirected to.
Most of the time there are two click boxes on a page.
One covers one button or area of the software where the user should click it reach a specified goal (here: inserting an new slide). When the user clicks this first click box (here: the green one) he is redirected to another page ("Go to slide") where he gets positive feedback and where the user can proceed with the exercise.
The second click box covers all the other space of the slide (in Captivate the two click boxes overlay each other. The first one is in the front, the second in the back). When the user clicks the second click box (here: the red one) he is redirected to a page where he gets negative feedback and the possibility to try again (which leads back to the initial page).
Although the click boxes lead to different pages, after some wrong clicks they both lead to the "negative feedback slide". And I don't know what's the problem ...

Filter Values are not appearing in WAD

Dear Experts,
In WAD I have been used multiple Data Providers for a Report for the first Tab it is showing the Filter values and when I double click on it, it is showing the results in the report but in the second Tab Strip for another Data Provider I am able to see the Filter Values but when I double click on it, it is not showing the results in the Report.
FYI in BEx these Queries are working fine.
Could any one of you come across this issue if so plz give me the solution.

Why does it take so long to load an application onto a PC even if it is only a single panel with a few dials and gauges.
And then after it is loaded, if I click a button with a mouse I'm not really sure if it has registered the action.
I have built applications of similar graphical complexity in either Delphi or Visual C and they load and run much much faster than a typical LabView app.
It sometimes seems that unless I have a CRAY sitting in my Lab the application is never going to start!
Anyone got any suggestion to speed it up?

Here are some ideas. Without seeing your application, it's the best I can
do...
If your UI/MMI/CHI is reacting slow, you might need to put a Wait (ms) in
your while loop(s). If you don't, the loops take 100% processor time, and
there is no time to handle the UI properly.
The only reason (I can think of) why loading might be slow, is that you have
large default values.
Overlapping controls or indicators dramatically slow down the updating.
Boolean array, esp. 2d, are just slow.
