I have stored/Retrieved Word documents in Oracle using a utility
that comes with the ConText Option. Essentially I wrote PL/SQL
to run the utility to get the file out of DB and onto the hard
disk, then another PL/SQL to run the utility to move the file
from hard disk into DB. I think the name of the utility was
txtio. I hope this helps.

  • How to align (center) field's content in the section (band) limits

    The environment is:
    CR version: CR version: CR 10.2.3600
    VS version: VS 2005 Prof + C#
    Application type: Windows application
    The Text objects can have set crHorCenterAlign property. There are no similar crVertCenterAlign property.  So, how can we vertically align the Text objects content in theirs limits.
    It would be usefull to have more properties, I mean something like this: TopAlignment, CenterAlignment and BottomAlignment.  Currenty CR uses TopAlignment as a default settings which cannot be changed and is unavailable for a developer.
    The similar alignments but in section (band) limits would be usefull for objects. For example, when the details rows have different heights which depend on a fields content smaller fields are printed at the top of the section (band). It would be usefull to have the object properties to set how the object is to be aligned in the section limits.
    Please look at this [picture |http://www.zgadzaj.pl/temp/vertical.jpg]. It shows that 2-nd column has larger content, so the section has been expanded. But rest of columns are printed at the top of the band. If we have additional properties than we can decide how objects should be vertically aligned.
    Perhaps I am wrong and there are somewhere vertical alignment setting hidden under different names.
    Regards,
    Marek

    Hi Marek,
    The version that is shipped with Visual Studio is a basic version and set of API`s. For full control you can purchase a full version of Crystal Reports. With this version you have an extended set of API`s with CR assemblies as well as the Report Application Server which runs inProc and has the RCAPI set of API`s that gives you more control on all objects, not fully but they are adding more functions all the time.
    RAS has Alignment API`s available.
    Download a Trial version of CR XI R2 ( SP4 Full build ) and then SP5 which is incremental and then download sample app`s to get you going with RAS.
    Thank you

  • How to align center for 800x600 webpage on a 1024x768 screen ?

    Dear all,
    I wonder if I can align center for a 800x600 webpage on a 1024x768 screen using Oracle Portal ?
    thanks
    George

    Hi Sonia,
    I can create the user inteface template successfully as you described.
    You can use a user interface template for this.
    Go to Providers -> Locally Built Providers -> Shared Components -> User Interface Templates.
    Then create a template for your pages and add the following lines:
    <table width="800" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center">
    <tr>
    <td>#BODY#</td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    But, I can't follow the following.
    I go back to my page group and click [Properties]. And I can't find the [Optional].
    I am using Portal 1.10.2. Can you help me ?
    After that, go back to your page template, and on its properties, go to optional and then select the User Interface Template you have just created.
    With this you won't have to change your original Template.
    Thanks

  • How to align text vertically?

    This seems like it should be really easy: On a simple text slide, how do I align multiple lines of text vertically? Do I have to eyeball it, or is there a way to fix it exactly in the center, top to bottom?

    Hi -
    There is no automatic way, but there is a way to make it slightly easier.
    After you enter your text, grab the clip of type and move it to a portion of the timeline where there are no other clips.
    In the Canvas click on the button on the top right and select Checkerboard:
    !http:/www.spotsbeforeyoureyes.com/CanvasCheckerboardBG.jpg!
    This will make the background a checkerboard so you can count the squares to verify the top and bottom line are equidistant from the TV Safe Guidelines:
    !http://www.spotsbeforeyoureyes.com/CanvasCheckerBoardExample.jpg!
    When you are done positioning the type, grab the clip and place it above the clip you originally wanted it to appear over.
    You can either leave the Canvas set to display a checkerboard when there is no video present, or switch it back to Black.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to align footnotes vertically to each other ?

    In IDCS5 I want to align two footnotes so it begins at the same height point.
    Thanks

    Ah yes - you cannot get Footnotes to Span Columns - it's very frustrating and I'v been campaigning for this feature since CS2
    Please join the cause http://forums.adobe.com/message/2744922#2744922
    For now you will have to make them endnotes and manually sit them across two columns.
    Here's a script that converts indesign footnotes to endnotes (as InDesign can't do that either - http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=extensionDetail&extid=1345518)
    How to install and use scripts http://indesignsecrets.com/how-to-install-scripts-in-indesign.php
    After you've created endnotes - you will have to cut them from the main text frame.
    Then you make a new frame and manually place the text frames at the end of the appropriate pages.
    It's very annoying.

  • Horizontal align center in table-cell

    Hello,
    I'm having a problem getting to horizontally align a div (schilderij) in another div (schilderijholder).
    This schilderij div has a height and width of 480px and has display: table-cell. The content of this div is an image, with different sizes on every page (there are multiple pages, it is some sort of photogallery). The images are nicely centered, horizontally and vertically, inside this div.
    The containing div (schilderijholder), has a width of 100% of it's containing block, which has a variable size
    The problem is, I cant get the schilderij div horizontally centered in the schilderijholder div.
    Here's the simplified code. If you need the whole code, I can post that too.
        <div class="leftWrapper" style="clear: none; float: left; width: 68%; height: 100%;">
        <div class="content" style="margin: 40 10 50 30;">
          <div id="schilderijholder" style="text-align: center; width: 100%; height: 100%;">
              <div id="schilderij" style=" height: 480px; width: 480px; text-align: center; vertical-align: middle; display: table-cell;">
                <img src="../Assets/Schilderijen/normal/01.jpg" width="399" height="480" align="center" />
                </div>
              </div>
            <div id="pageControl">
            <span class="left">
              <a href="schilderijen2.html"></a> </span>
              <span class="right">
              <a href="02.html">Volgende</a>
                </span>
              </div>
          </div>
         </div>
    What I've tried:
         - "margin: 0 auto;" on the schilderij div
         - "position: relative;" on the schilderijholder div and "position: absolute; left: 50%; margin-left: -240px;" on the schilderij div
    But these both don't work.
    Does anybody know a solution for this, or maybe has something to put me on the right way?
    Thanks in advance!

    Let's fix your code first:
    <div class="leftWrapper" style="float: left; width: 68%; height: 100%;">
        <div class="content" style="margin: 40px 10px 50px 30px;">
          <div id="schilderijholder" style="text-align: center; width: 100%; height: 100%;">
              <div id="schilderij" style=" height: 480px; width: 480px; text-align: center; vertical-align: middle; display: table-cell;">
                <img src="../Assets/Schilderijen/normal/01.jpg" width="399" height="480" align="center" />
                </div>
              </div>
            <div id="pageControl">
            <span class="left">
              <a href="schilderijen2.html"></a> </span>
              <span class="right">
              <a href="02.html">Volgende</a>
                </span>
              </div>
          </div>
         </div>
    Why do you need the div#schilderij at all?  Seems unnecessary to me.
    Then you would need the display:table-cell on the parent to this div, not on the div#schilderij, which has basically the same dimensions as the image.  But I think this is all too complicated.  Why not just this?
    <div class="leftWrapper" style="float: left; width: 68%;">
        <div class="content" style="margin: 40px 10px 50px 30px;">
          <div id="schilderijholder" style="text-align: center;">
                <img src="../Assets/Schilderijen/normal/01.jpg" width="399" height="480" align="center" />
                </div>
              </div>
            <div id="pageControl">
            <span class="left">
              <a href="schilderijen2.html"></a> </span>
              <span class="right">
              <a href="02.html">Volgende</a>
                </span>
              </div>
          </div>
         </div>

  • "Vertical Align Center" Text and a Shape

    Hi designers,
    I wonder if anyone could give me a hand with aligning text and shapes? I would like to align a number to the center of a circle. "Horizontal Align Center" works well. "Vertical Align Center", however, does not yield the desired result. The number turns out to be higher in the cycle (see figure below). The distance from the top of the circle to the top of the number zero, X, is shorter than the distance between the bottom of the circle and the bottom of the number zero. Is it possible to equal these two distances?
    Figure 1: The Outcome of Vertical Align Center
    Thanks,
    Haobo

    Hi Mylenium,
    Thank you very much for you very prompt reply, which solves the problem very effectively.
    If you do not mind, I have got two further questions.
    Firstly, is there an option similar to "Align to Path: Centre" under "Type on a Path Options" that changes how text is aligned?
    Secondly, does InDesign offer the aforementioned function?
    I sometimes label a large quantity of locations with alphanumeric characters, which are subject to frequent changes, and therefore would like to preserve the text if possible. I have heard that manipulating text is InDesign's area of expertise. If this function is not available in Illustrator but offered by InDesign, I can jot down another reason for acquiring the latter and split the workflow in the future.
    Thanks,
    Haobo

  • Photoshop Elements 7 - How do I align/center a layer?

    I'm using Photoshop Elements 7. How do I align/center a layer vertically or horizontally on a page?

    Are you adding objects to a blank layer? If so bring up the ruler then drag and drop guides to your center and any additional points. You can also set so that objects automatically snap to the guide lines.
    If you want to align visually similar images on top of each other, there is no auto-align like in CS5. The only work around is to lower the opacity of the top layer and then use the move tool to align by eye.

    Hi,

    JLabel l = new JLabel("<html><h1><center>Hello</h1></html>");
    And then put it in the JFrame's north position, but it doesn't work either. What should I do?
    Thx

  • How do I center content vertically and horizontally in GoLive 9?

    Hello, I don't know a huge amount about hand-coding, but I have managed to center my content horizontally using this tutorial:

    Ian,
    Hi Jesper, ..., are you comfortable with me using your action when building web sites for my small, commercial clients?
    Certainly, but see the CareWear stipulation under legal informations on his site.
    And as he says, more clumsily, you may put everything in a single cell table, something like this:
    <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center" height="100%">
    <tr align="center" valign="middle">
    <td align="center" valign="middle">

  • How do you position text in a div tag to be in the center vertically?

    Can someone help?  I am struggling to convert from being dependent on tables to design sites to using all css and divs.  Anyway, in my practice file, i made a header that is styled to be 50 pixels tall.  The type in the header goes to the top.  I am used to having type default to to the left and positioned vertically in the center they way type "works" when placed in a <td>. What am I not "getting?" I would like to know that if I change the css for the header region from 50 to another value that the type will always be positioned where I want it.
    thanks in advance for any suggestions.  Maybe the picture I've attached will better explain what I'm talking about. Oh, and I've also attached the html file

    I'm afraid you'll have to starting looking at things differently. Css cannot yet vertically centre anything in a <div> container reliably.
    About as good as it gets is one line of text (see code below) using the line-height attribute AND you need to give the <div> a height too which is also likely to lead to other problems. So forget it. You can use padding and margin to push it into a 'visual position vertically centered' in your browser but there is no guarantee that others with different browser set ups will be seeing it the same.

  • Dreamweaver MX  How to get pages to automatically align center

    I can get text within a layer or table to align center, but I can't figure out how to get the entire page to always snap to center, regardless of the browser window size.  I'm sure this is easy, but I just don't see it.
    Whatever the solution, must the contents of the page be in a table? If so, can I convert the layers (photos and text) that make up some pages into tables?
    Sorry, if this is basic, but I haven't used the program in a few years, and my books andmanuals are in storage 4 hours away.

    You need 3 basic things to center a page.
    A valid HTML document type declaration on the first line of your code.  DW normally does this for you when you create a new page.
    CSS container width in pixels, ems or %;
    CSS margin-left and margin-right of auto.
    Page centering can be expressed with the following CSS code:
    body {
         width: 980px;
         margin:0 auto;
    NOTE: This won't work with positioned elements (aka Layers) because they are removed from normal document flow.

  • Why does Vertical Align Center align objects along the horizontal?

    And why does Horizontal Align Center align objects along the vertical?
    -g-
    P.S. Please please please make the Eydropper tool available by function key so I can toggle to it while using the Text tool. Please!

    g,
    but when I select two objects and click the vertical align button they snap to an invisible horizontal line
    This is (almost) identical to:
    Because (the centres of) vertically aligned objects will be on the same horizontal level/line.
    And that is just one way of expressing what vertical alignment means. Here are a few others:
    Their centres have the same height,
    Their centres have the same Y value on the Artboard/Workspace,
    In all cases, you can draw a horizontal line through their centres.
    Mathematically, Y = C (Y is a constant value C) is the equation for a horizontal line.
