Developing FSG reports in BI

Hi,
I am developing the concept of FSG reports in BI using FSG backend tables.
The concurrent program for FSG Reports 'Financial Statement Generator' is a Spawned program.
I don't know what is the functionality of this program and how the calculations are being done ..as it is a spawned program.
Can anybody help to complete my task by guiding me a way.

i think there is no option to run FSG reports from BI Publsiher, as FSG reports are defined in Oracle EBS Financials suite.
but you can take xml file and run it from desktop based on rtf file

Advise on fsg report

Hello financial gurus
Our client is having trouble running the standard fag report because the number of columns they have is more than 100 and the standard report therefore fails.
They have asked us to redo the report in discoverer.
Is it possible to get oracle to output the standard report in bi publisher instead?
I somehow think using discoverer and developing the report from scratch is not a good idea.
Please let me know your thoughts.

If you have that many columns ( you said 100) fsg is not going to handle that. If required you condo this in discoverer but your rows need to be a calc so you can group them together properly. E.g. If account in 4000' 4001, ect. Then revenue, if 5000 then cogs. It is very cumbersome and tedious but it is possible. If OBI is an option it is much easier to do in that tool

How to release FSG reports without using Program - FSG Transfer across a database link

Our project development team have built some reports to meet the requirements of the business customer using Financials Statement Generator (FSG) as part of an implementation of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) release 12.1.3.
We know we can use the Program - FSG Transfer across a database link to move the reports from development to another environment.

However our production environment is on a different network. Therefore this solution will not work since a database link cannot be created from production to the non production databases. Obviously I am asking the network solution architects to consider how to join the networks but do'nt hold out much hope. Has anyone got an alternative solution?
FYI We have considered extracting the report definition, row sets, column sets etc from the back end database tables then transforming that into end user key strokes to simulate what someone would do to create such a report from scratch using the front end forms using a tool such as data loader which I believe has no licence cost implications. We dont have a lot of time so would be interested to know if anyone had any success with an alternative method such as this.

My client won't accept a database link being created between the production and development systems.
How can I transfer an FSG report from the development system to production? (FNDLOAD??)

Need to develop this report plezzzz help

the requirement says
When a user submits an ID they have to choose who sold the product from the sold by field.This has to be chosen correctly otherwise there will be issues in sales and commission process.I need to develop a report to detect immediately when an Id is created which seems to be suspect.A suspect ID is one in which a salesperson was chosen on a customer who is not assigned to that sales person territory
for example: if danny is in Kathy territory is assigned to a customer in Texas which is Larry territory.
any suggestions will be helpful for me...

You ask for help, yet all you give is conceptual data. How do you expect help on writing the report?
Q) What defines "territory"? Is it a flag? Zip code? City?
Here is an answer based on a lot of assumptions:
I would have to assume that territory is defined by something like city, state, or zip code. If so, you could start with this:
When a customer submits an ID, along with who he/she selects as a salesperson -- I assume this is a drop down box to eliminate multiple entries of the same person due to variations in spelling -- thep person's address, city, state and zip are included as well. Let's assume that territory is defined by zip code. With the salesperson's name and the zip of the customer captured, you have the basis for comparison.
Based on the table of all your salespeople and their territory (zip code in my assumption), you can create a report that contains a concatenated field of salesperson||zip code. This will produce a report with all possible combinations of salesperson and territory. This report will be your sub-query.
Now you have your main query based on the customer activity table and you create a concatenated field of salesperson (chosen-by-customer)||zip code (of the customer). You will put a filter on this concatenated column and have it based on the results of another request (your sub-query) with the operand "not equal to/not in."
If any record in the main query does not match an entry from the sub-query, that record will display. It will be a report that contains customers who chose a sales person who doesn't have that territory.
That's how you build your report.

I'm not sure but if you are talking about the marketing attributes, you can definitely use FM - CRM_MKTBP_ASSIGN_ATTRIBUT_TAB
You need to pass the profile id, partner id and marketing attributes data. Thats it.
I think the FM you ar eusing for terrritory is fine. It should work.

· Developed new Report for Summarized JIT (Just In Time) calls: This report is for Delco Singapore needs all Summarized JIT calls created between selected dates to be closed. If JIT call quantity is 0 and GR quantity is also 0, then GR flag for JIT call to be checked and JIT call will not be shown open. If the JIT call quantity is greater than zero and GR for JIT call quantity is zero then JIT call quantity made as zero and GR flag for JIT Call to be checked. Once it is checked the JIT call will not be shown in Open.

Ok, I was able to figure out the functions that were confusing me. For my own record and for those that do not know, I will list how to create the objects necessary to add a new report to a menu.
1-Write JSP (should be written just how Oracle writes theirs)
2-Creat function for the new JSP page as System Administrator responsibility
3-Use Sys Admin to add the function to a menu somewhere
4-Using AK Developer responsibility, create an attribute with the label of the attribute being the name of your function you created. Oracle's convention is the name of the attribute has FS in it.
5-Using AK Developer, lookup the ASF_FUNC_SEC_REG region
6-Drill down into that regions attributes
7-Add a your newly created attribute to this region
You would do all these steps for your advanced search page as well, so that in your main jsp, you can call asfPage.setAdvancedSearchPage() with the attribute name of your advanced page.
What I Still do not know is:
(1) My main page keeps coming up saying that there is no default query defined for it. How do you create a default query for a report?
(2) How to get the personalization to work.

FSG report not printing column values on same line but sequentially

FSG report problem:
We have defined 2 FSG reports 'Balance Sheet - Total' and 'Balance Sheet - Detail'. Both reports have 3 column values, namely the value in Euro (our Functional Currency), the value in MUR - Mauritian rupees (our reporting currency) and the rate of exchange.
The report 'Balance Sheet - Total' displays these values for assets e.g.:-
EURO MUR Rate of exchange
Non-current assets
1. Intangible assets ? ? ?
2. Other investments ? ? ?
(note: ? represents a certain value)
The report 'Balance Sheet - Detail' displays values as follows :-
Account EURO MUR Rate of exchange
1. Property & Equipment
A10101 Building Cost ? 0.00 0.0000
A20105 Motor Veh Accum Dep ? 0.00 0.0000
TOTAL ? 0.00 0.0000
A10101 Building Cost 0.00 ? n/m
A20105 Motor Veh Accum Dep 0.00 ? n/m
(note: ? represents a certain value)
What we don't understand s why the 'Balance Sheet - Detail' report repeats the display of column values in MUR FOLLOWING the display in EURO, instead of displaying column values for EURO and MUR on the same line, just like in the case for 'Balance Sheet - Total'.
Is there anything in the definition of column set, row set or report set should I change?

The problem is related to defining the column set properly. It is OK with the first report and needs modification for the second. Formatting is also important so that they appear in the same line(row). The columns need to be linked to the fileds and assignment to set of books is also important as mentioned by Rajsekhar

Error when trying to run an FSG Report via XML Publisher...

Hope someone can help.
This is our first look into the benefits of XML Publisher in order convince Manager to start using it. Thing is, we really need to get both FSG reports and Dunning Letters working.
We've currently got XML Publisher 5.0.0 and BI Publisher Template Builder for Word v10.1.3.2.0

Ive managed to create a template based upon the basic FSG template supplied. I’ve follwed easy steps but on submitting the request against ANY [its what the notes said] FSG report the error messages from both the log and output files are given.. Those being..
Output file displayed the most productive error message:

ORA-06550: line 133, column 8:
PLS-00306: wrong number or types of arguments in call to 'SUBMIT_XML_REQUEST'

Can anyone help please? Or perhaps suggest an alternative to running FSG reports through XML Publisher.
Other thought was, do I need any different versions and/or Publisher Enterprise installing?

If user enter show all emps whose policy is expiring in MAY (01.05.2008---31.05.2008) it is displaying EMp 1 as well but emp 1 has a policy which expires in 2009

As per my understanding, Normally our environment setup contains Development,testing,preproduction,production and its varies from company to company.
We develop SSRS report in development environment and after testing we deploy it to production report server.
Development environment use development database for creating report like your database IP and credential will use development environment
setup. and production environment use production database for creating report like your database IP and credential will use production environment setup.

After creating the dataset under datamodel save your data sets.
Click on Datamodel , on the right side window you will have the Main data set option , click on the drop down option and select Concatenated sql option.

FSG report output does not show column headers (XML Publisher)

Hi everyone
Iam required to create a template for an FSG report with 20 columns. Used copy of FSG:Fixed number of columns Template(FSGTEMP) to create the template because i need to do some conditional formatting(need to show negative values in red color).
here is the problem:
when i use the template and run the program the output i can see the row data but not the column headers..column headings are blank!
regarding the conditional formatting, can anybody tell me how to give the condition
iam able to give the condition for oracle reports but not for FSG reports as i dont see the column name in the 'data field' in conditional format

Open the report in Edit Mode Click on the reports and in the properties section Uncheck the
Enable Document Cache Property and your issue should be resolved.

Bursting FSG Reports in R12.0.3

Does anyone have any ideas on this. Is it because of the namespace in the select attribute of the xapi:request element?
